Headmaster's Office

@Nova "Hmm you do make a fair point. It's quite a ways to the city itself and I don't think either of us will be able to cover that much ground in the amount of time we've got. I mean, unless it was an emergency situation." Mary remarked, mentally remembering the map she'd seen of New York state before moving here. "Yeah that's true. It could've helped give you inspiration for what you want to get too." She soon turned her phone screen towards the other female, a defeated expression on her face. "All of the closest ones are closer to Manhattan, I'm afraid."

After a few moments, Mary turned around and started to head down the hallway backwards, continuing the conversation as she did so. "Ah I see. I'm glad your stress levels aren't too high right now. That would be a horrible way to start off the year, you know?" She shrugged her shoulders, lips parting in a soft smile. "Not too bad on my end. "Some of the transfer students are struggling with their partners so I've been pulled from the council room more than I thought I would be. Other than that, things are going really smoothly."

@Xia “Well there is New York the state and the city. We are quite far from the city so it’s possible that there isn’t one out here.” She admitted with a thoughtful sigh and then shrugged. “I wasn’t intending to buy all my furniture from there anyway but it’s always just a fun adventure to look, right?” Nova chuckles and peered over at the phone, curious as to whatever info the device had managed to pull up.

The questions about her day made her smile at the younger woman warmly. It wasn’t often anyone actually asked about her so she enjoyed it thoroughly when someone did. “So far my days are a bit boring. We’ve got a few scout reports coming in and new arrivals but nothing too big.” Nova replied honestly. “How about yours? Is getting everything set up for the student council coming along well?”

@Nova "Fantastic." Mary nodded in agreement, adjusting her backpack straps as she waited. She then pursed her lips in thought, pulling out her phone to bring up Google Maps, typing in IKEA. "I wouldn't doubt it, to be honest. We /are/ in New York, after all. Worst case scenario, we can find something similar." She pointed out, waiting for her phone to load up the answer to her inquiry.

"Shall we start walking while I wait for my phone to load?" She inquired a few moments later, figuring the school's interior materials had decided to block her signal. "Anyway, how was your day? The usual type of thing or no?" She tilted her head to signify her curiosity, wondering if the Headmistress had been overwhelmed with different things like she had or not.

@Xia Nova was actually slightly concerned that the young student council president had so much paperwork so early in the year, especially after just recently opening. It only made her think that she needed to contact Death to figure out just what was going on that so much needed to be asked of the young woman but thag would have to wait. The two of them had a date with shopping and she wanted to get right to it.

“Yep! I’m good to go.” The blonde replied, casually pulling her bag off of the stand that stood just inside of the door and slipping the strap over her shoulders. She gave it a quick pat to make sure she had everything and then nodded to herself in satisfaction before shooting the other girl a playful grin. “Do you think they have an IKEA somewhere nearby?”

@Nova While she waited, she paused her music and unplugged her earbuds, wrapping the cords around her hand and stuffing them into the side pocket of her backpack. With a pleased smile on her lips, she nodded in greeting to the Headmistress. "Hello again. It's great to see you again." She remarked, raising a hand to brush a few stray hairs from her tanned complexion. "Yeah I did. There was more paperwork that I thought there would be, but I managed to get through it. Are you almost ready to go furniture shopping?"

@Xia Given that Nova was living in her office, she had ample time for her own paperwork and all other administrative tasks as headmaster. Unfortunately, due to the recent opening of the school, she had very few duties to carry out and was therefore bored. The blonde was strewn across the couch aimlessly, trying to balance a pencil on her upper lip until she heard the knock on the door. She sat up quickly, the utensil clattering to the floor ignored as she moved to admit the student to her chamber. “Yes! Hi! Welcome. It’s great to see you.” Nova greeted her cheerfully. “Did you get your work done?”

@Nova After signing several papers and sorting out a few various issues within the Council, Mary was finally done for the day. Slipping her earbuds into her ears and turning on one of her favorite songs, she made her way over to the Headmistress' office, raising her hand to knock once was in front of it. "Here goes nothing." She spoke in a soft tone, knocking firmly three times. "Miss? It's Xia."
