@ΝΓΤ ³ stephen。 raises a brow at being called adorable before leaning against the back of the seat as I listen to you. So did she succeed? I think I heard about Ra before...but I can’t remember where..
@ΝΓΤ ² taehyung。 That’s adorable honestly. i say with a chuckle as i sit next to you, opening the book up to the table of contents. That’s an easy one, Isis; goddess of magic. Her story is pretty wild since she pretty much attempted to usurp the sun god, Ra, so her husband, Osiris can take the throne.
@ΝΓΤ ³ stephen。 Hey, I’m a child at heart so I like seeing pictures! blows my bangs out of my face, following after you quietly to the table, slips into a chair humming in thought. Let’s start with the one you like the most...and go from there.
@ΝΓΤ ² taehyung。 That's what google's for, Tae. These books right here are written art, it helps keep me sane. chuckles and ruffles your hair, taking your hand then so I can lead you to one of the empty tables. So, which god do you wanna start with first?
@ΝΓΤ ³ stephen。 eyes the book in your hands skeptically before settling with a small huff. I hope it has at least some pictures, just to give off an idea on what the gods and goddesses looked like. I have a great imagination but sometimes it’s way too out of the ordinary.
@ΝΓΤ ² taehyung。 Yep, his father was an abusive prick to begin with. blinks at you for a moment, coughs into my fist then turns to the books, plucking out a rather thick book from the bottom of the bookcase. This one right here.
@ΝΓΤ ³ stephen。 Not everyone understands what it’s like to be scared because you want to make someone proud. Anyway- Egyptian mythology. scans all the books lined of the shelves as I walk down the aisle.
@ΝΓΤ ² taehyung。 I mean. the Harry Potter book series and movies were pretty spot on, it's the only one I care about. Draco's just a scared kid trying to make his dad proud, I think the whole fandom thinks he's misunderstood. Poor kid though, at least he's happy now.
@ΝΓΤ ³ stephen。 I gave up on reading books and watching the movies after being disappointed once. I can’t seem to read a book and then watch the movie, I get really upset when they change the movie up completely. I do love Harry Potter though, am I the only one who thinks Draco is misunderstood?
@ΝΓΤ ² taehyung。 Yeah! I love them, especially Harry Potter, I've got all the books and movies on a shelf at my dorm and everything. I pretty much grew up on HP. Ah, if you read the books you'd be happy that they stopped the franchise after the second movie. I've never been so disappointed in a movie.
@ΝΓΤ ³ stephen。 quickly follows after you and gasps quietly. you like Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and Mortal Instruments? I think I might actually cry. It’s not everyday you meet people who like fantasy movies like those, I’m actually upset they didn’t continue the Percy Jackson series.
@ΝΓΤ ² taehyung。 You probably would, it's a little more complex and a lot more stories to work with. slips my glasses on then shoves my hands into my front pockets, immediately making my way to the fiction section. I'm a fantasy buff, I grew up on Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and Mortal Instruments.
@ΝΓΤ ³ stephen。 Egyptian myth sounds really intriguing and I feel like I’d actually like it. glances over my shoulder and laughs a little. so you’re a literature person? Or just when it comes to myths?
@ΝΓΤ ² taehyung。 Hm, well, since you already know a lot about Greek I was thinking about teaching you a little about Egyptian myth. enters the room behind you, inhaling the scent of fresh printed paper. Ah, man. I can never get over that smell.
@ΣΥΤ ¹ minghao。 Taeyong had been feeling particularity under the weather for the past few days after an unforeseen cold caught him off guard, and that too, at an incredibly bad time considering the fact that his exams were right around the corner. Rendered unable to attend classes due to his lassitude − it didn't help that going to classes were already a drag under normal circumstances − and practically high on cold medicine, the redhead decided he'd at least try to be productive and get some self-study in. He was pretty sure he looked absolutely nothing short of drunk (read: when for once, he actually wasn't) walking down the hallways at an excruciatingly sluggish pace and barely able to keep his eyes open. Glaring at nothing in particular, Taeyong inwardly cusses his alarming need to be studious, then again, he couldn't help but feel like he'd end up failing disastrously if he spent even /one/ more day sick in bed − and no, he wasn't superstitious. He just had a very good gut feeling which has yet to prove itself wrong. A visible hue of roseate dusts across his cheeks as he makes his way, probably from a worsening fever he was completely oblivious to despite the fact his vision occasionally went hazy. Stubborn and too dumb for his own good, that was what he was.
After what seemed like an eternity, he finally arrived at the library, study guide, notebook and all stationaries on hand. It took him a lot longer than expected to gather all the materials he needed, and after spending over thirty minutes just rummaging through the shelves looking for the books he needed, he went on to look for a table. It felt as though he'd already exerted every remaining ounce of energy he had in him just to carry the books to the table, then again, his struggle came as no surprise when he hardly had enough strength to push the door to the library open earlier. After pulling out a chair for himself, Taeyong slumps into the seat before kick starting his self-study session. It wasn't long before he'd become absorbed, focus overcoming him as his eyes busily skim from one book to the other out of the multiple spread out in front of him. His fingers flick through the pages like a machine, taking in information non-stop while the empty pages in his notebook gradually start to fill up. He didn't know when exactly he felt the need to stick a piece of tissue up his nose, but upon realization, he assumed it was for good reason and decided to let it be.
However, an hour or two into the montage, Taeyong found himself running out of steam. Tiredness began to kick in faster than he could agree to go out clubbing (read: which i you not, is pretty damn fast) and it was clear forcing himself to concentrate for such a long period of time had taken a heavy toll on his body. His line of vision eventually become so unfocused that no amount of furious blinking could fix it. Soon after, he started to become acutely aware of his breathing and how every exhale left him in heated puffs he could actually feel against his face. ". This, is bad." He whispers to himself, the words coming out incredibly strained just moments before his whole body goes limp, tilts over to a side and topples straight to the floor as he completely blacks out. Just moments before losing consciousness, he could only think of how unlucky he was to have chosen a table so isolated, unaware that there'd been someone else sitting just a few seats apart from him the whole time.
[ open. I can't plot rip. so if you wanna. uwu. tag this . I'm nice ]
/minghao hardens his gaze at the thick book of resting innocently atop the table and it's dark blue or is it midnight or ing sapphire, he can care less, brings out the sombre look that matches well the dark brown—— bitter as coffee with no sugar and gut wrenching, his alter ego helpfully provides inside his head—— coating the wooden table. minghao feels on another level of bitterness, his jaw squaring up, his fist clenching so hard his knuckles turn red and if anyone were to see minghao they might be able to tell whatever that look he's giving off is concerning, that he might require some medical help. he does though but for another reason.
A---
/his eyes lands on the sign hanging above his head, four or five feet's away. it's rectangular with trimmed edges like a cylinder bar, painted white in the background and alerting red spelling out [KEEP SILENCE]. he closes his mouth. fumes. bites down on his lips. takes a begrudgingly gentle step. he looks like he has constipation and at the rate things are going, he might. ever so gently he places his notebook on the table followed by each of his accessories down — phone, stationary pouch ( he loves those colorful s), the can of coffee unopened, and last but not the least a bar of chocolate.
let me this up.
/teeth grinding, he breathes out, tracing the front cover, he flips the page to the contents, squinting his eyes to see which one he should go over first. obviously from the first chapter, . hah! he puts on his reading glasses.
let's do it.
