The common room was experiencing a rare period of quietness that could usually only be experienced past 9pm. Only, it was just after dinner -- a few hours before the enforced curfew. For the most part, the few students that were in the common room were in their own spaces doing their own things and the ones that were together, probably doing homework, were whispering among themselves so as to not disturb the natural quiet that fell upon the room. In the corner, a record spun evenly on it's player, a song that Isabella didn't recognize flowing from the pavillon. Not wanting to disturb anyone, she quieted Ringo's squeaking -- which may have just been loud to her because of the rodent's close proximity to her ear -- and crossed the room to an open chair beside the window. She drew her legs up into a crossed position and rested against the arm of the chair before urging Ringo to settle on the chair's back. Once she was settled, she opened her journal to the most recently used pace and continued on her sketch of the Thestral she'd seen in class earlier.
