PLEASE NOTE: This is for first years only! The sorting hat chooses what house you are destined to be in when attending Hogwarts. Though rare, there is a phenomenon that sometimes occurs called a 'Hatstall'. This is when the hat of Godric Gryffindor takes over five whole minutes to eventually decide what house the student belongs to.

You can be sorted in two ways here. The first is you can request being in a house (you can roleplay and headcanon ththat you were still chosen to be in that house, this is mostly for an ooc preference.)

PLEASE NOTE: If there are too many members in one house this option will be closed and you will be sorted into one of the other houses at random.

The second (and most fun option in our opinion) is letting chance decide what house you're in, to simulate how the sorting hat would place you in one of the four houses. How might you do this? Simple! Roll the dice three times and follow the chart below to find out what house you've been sorted into.

PLEASE NOTE: Tag an admin when going for this second option. We will then happily let you know what house you're in after the completion of rolling the dice.
