@ᴴ chittaphon leechaiyakul Oh, he's having the time of his life now. The boy before him wears irritation as prettily as his own milky skin and Taehyung nearly slips by saying so. But he catches himself at the breath of the first syllable, a hard bite to his lower lip that could easily be taken for a gesture of a different kind. He draws his gaze back to the other's and--- oh. His eyes.
"You really tryna mean business, yeah?" He's entranced by the smolder of that amber gaze. He's certain if he doesn't blink, squints just hard enough, he could see the crackle of embers hidden there. The boy's a husk full of kindling and Taehyung's words seem to serve as the spark--- so he only goads him harder.
"Is this the part where I make the first move? Because clearly you're not going to." And with that, he goes about his business by doing the only decent thing: attacking. A shockwave unleashes from his form, so fleeting that even he barely catches it. And suddenly the trees above groan in repulsion, branches cracking from their trunks and tumbling down to Ten's waiting form.
@ˢ kim taehyung for a long moment, ten just stood there in silence. of course there was something itching inside of him, flames stroking his insides and catching to everything that was flammable within the boy. while standing in front of taehyung, there was even a sort of red and orange hue to his irises. ten had to tip his head back to look up toward the other man, but the fire in his eyes and in his fingers didn't diminish.
"i will burn you to a crisp." the threat was honestly there. ten felt the anger rising in him, this sort of challenge something that he was used to, but never to this degree. even in the moment, the flames finally came from the tips of his fingers, almost at taehyung's clothes.
"Never said you were, angel. Keep your words in your pretty mouth, and I'll stick with mine."
The purr enriching his words startles even Taehyung and he feels just an edge too hot. Sweat against the pores of his nape and he breathes to relish in the hesitation purloining the boy's exotic features. He's treading the precipice of unmarked territory, a place so devastatingly foreign to him. Yet he finds himself only goaded, any hint of intimidation melting in sloughs down the slope of his back.
"Or what?" He's molding in the gap between them, careless strides forward until he can practically count the lashes on the hero's face. Calculate the graceful slope of his nose.
Feel the heat practically frothing over them both in waves.
@ˢ kim taehyung "i'm just like everyone else. i'm not some invincible piece of ." there was a certain venom to his words, and ten shook his head, turning his gaze away. he felt a type of heat in his fingers, inching down to the very tips. he didn't know just what the kid before him was up to, what he was thinking, and it was irritating. but he wouldn't show it, not to the extent he felt it.
curling his fingers into his palm, fists forming by his sides until he lifted one hand to point a finger toward taehyung's chest. his voice trembled with the anger he held back, and if anyone was paying enough attention, they would notice the little flicker of a flame at the tip of his finger. "shut up. just shut up."
The way the boy's words simply trail off his lips, a wayward train derailing into nothing, doesn't exactly go unnoticed to Taehyung. He finds disappointed somewhere deep within. Expecting more out of him. Perhaps believing that the interesting, angry little thing he'd witnessed earlier weren't too far from the surface.
"Oh? What, that actually bothers you?" He can't help but step closer, still a couple of feet stretching between them but curiosity runs him restless. He'll make do with swallowing that distance soon enough. "Not the closed book you thought you were. Face it, kid. My judgement isn't what's eating you. It's that you know I'm probably right."
@⭑ ˢ tiffany young With not much to offer beside brute strength and moral support, Mint stood off to the side through most of the process. She probably looked like a speculator at a tennis match, watching as the nurse moved back and forth while performing her duties. With the situation long since diffused and her adrenaline steadily embedding away, she noticed a stinging sensation on her arm. The turning it to investigate, she found a few scratches bubbling with the tiniest amount of blood. It was minor wound, so she just went ahead and took care of it herself. She moved over to one of the unattended nurse's stations and slapped on a bit of disinfectant, gritting her teeth at the way it burned through the potential germs and bacteria, then she covered it with a rather large band-aid that only left the end of a scratch uncovered. A smaller band-aid took care of that.
By the time she was finished, so was Tiffany and the other had made her way over to where she was rearranging the first aid kit to properly close it. She gasped softly at the question, remembering that she'd been in a class before everything had gone down. "Yeah I do, actually," she said with a chuckle, latching the kit closed and reaching up to slip it back onto the shelf it came from. "I should probably get out of here before my kids get into something they'll regret."
She glanced at her watch, deciding that it wasn't really worth keeping the kids so she'd head over and dismiss them - assuming they stuck around. Then she could head back to the sport's court and help clean up some of the bigger rubble. "Alright, I'm going," she said, heading for the door. She stopped briefly to add, "If you need anything just come find me, alright? I'll see you later."
She made her way to the danger room, where her more advanced classes were held and just as she thought, only a few students lingered. They immediately bombarded her with questions about what happened that she did her best to answer before sending the kids on their way with promises of extra credit for sticking around. As she reset all of the simulation structures, she briefly wondered if Tiffany was as okay as she insisted. Hopefully she was, but it was kind of hard to escape being crushed by a 105 pound anything at full speed completely unscathed. She didn't dwell on it too long and headed back to help the cleanup effort. She'd find out later.
@⭑ ᴴ mint phonpawiworakun Tiffany nodded in agreement to Mint's words. There was not much they could do about the rumors, because even if they made a big speech to the school about respect, there would still be kids due to their age and maturity, that would just get riled up more. The best thing to focus on was number one, she was safe, number 2, other students didn't get caught in the crossfire (which very easily could have happened, and the mess then made a lot bigger) and number 3, now that some staff knew more about what her rage attacks look like, we can approach helping her more supportivly.
The walk wasn't too long before they got to the nearest infirmary. Tiffany moved out of the way, as Mint entered first with the student, laying her down and explaining to the nurse on deck what had happened and her injuries. The meditation teacher had almost forgotten she had also walked down to see if they could heal whatever was up with her back, until Mint mentioned her name, which got her attention, making a motion to her, and the nurses eyes came to look upon the latter.
"I got hit in the back with one of the basketball hoops in the gym," It was a little embarrassing remembering the fact that it wasn't just a hit, it was a hit and then drop the entire structure on her, and then Tiffany not being able to move it. "Claire collapsed it on me to make sure I wouldn't move- nothing's broken that I can feel, but whenever you got the chance, there's a spot on my back I wanted you to check." she finished telling the nurse formally, nodding politely. The nurse responded that she would hook Claire up to an IV and make sure there wasn't any serious physical injuries on her before checking Tiffiany, but Tiffany could have a seat on another bed while she did her work. The teacher nodding in understanding, coming over to the student once more and putting her hand on Claire's temple.
She took the time to double check in Claire's emotional state that she was ok. She was still battle some thoughts in her sleep, and Tiffany reinforced some good feelings and calmness into the girls head for about a minute or two. The nurse understood what Tiffany was doing, knowing what a Empath looked like when doing their thing, and let her work as she grabbed a IV bag and made sure it was running before looking for a vein on Claire. Once Tiffany thought it was enough, she pulled her head back and rubbed her own head a little, and trying to manipulate another's emotions gave her a head ache, but she was working on getting used to it.
She then stood back to let the nurse have all the space she needed, standing next to Mint again as they watched. "Do you have anywhere else you need to be?" she asked the shorter, looking over to her. "I don't have any classes until evening, so if you need to go I can watch form here."
@⭑ ˢ tiffany young Mint waited for an answer, watching as Tiffany recomposed herself a bit. She smiled and nodded in confirmation, waiting for the other to be completely ready before walking along side her. She was fully prepared to shift Claire to one arm and unbend the aluminum bat she'd placed earlier but Tiffany went ahead and took it upon herself. The way she expertly wielded water as a tactical was seriously impressive, especially considering the element's reputation for being fluid. It was basically the foundation of the Dao for that exact reason. Right now, however, watching such a passive element slice straight through aluminum almost seemed like the culmination of what what NHA was about.
After giving quick thanks, she passed through newly opened door, holding the girl in her arms a little closer as her peers tried to get a better look. A few asked if she was dead, genuinely curious, but Mint had to resist the urge to roll her eyes. That would have been a solution in the worst case, but, as destructive as the episode had been, it was more or less controllable.
Once they'd successfully made it through the throng of students, Mint left out an inaudible sigh of relief. Even someone as sociable as her wasn't too fond of crowds like that. Tiffany's words caught her attention and she looked at the taller woman. "Yeah," she responded, a sympathetic lilt to her voice. "I can't image they'll forget about this any time soon," she started, nodding her head back in reference to the students. They had a tendency to hold onto the biggest thing and talk about it for as long as possible and Mint had the feeling that this would be the biggest thing for a while. Inside the school, anyway. "But at least everyone's okay. That could have gone a lot worse," she said, frown marring her features at the mere thought.
They eventually made it to the infirmary, passing by a few classrooms where people rushed to the doors to catch a look at Claire and whisper among themselves. Thankfully, the door was propped open. Mint walked right in, greeting the nurse on duty and giving them an abridged version of the events and girl's condition while laying her on an empty bed. "Oh, and Tiffany.." she trailed off, gesturing to the other woman, not wanting to just speak for her.
@ˢ kim taehyung ( 3RD IS ACTUALLY BETTER YIKES - uwu )
"like hell i actually am. maybe if you'd get your head out of your ..." he didn't finish his sentence. if anything, he was more frustrated that things weren't just going his way. he didn't /want/ to talk to anyone, especially not when he was sure he'd end up in trouble. the teachers loved putting him in detention. with a grumble, he kicked at the root that wriggled, almost taunting, toward him, taking a step back.
his gaze was steely as he looked up, eyes a little narrowed as he surveyed the other student before him. "do you really think i don't give a ? stop trying to judge me like you know me."

"Doing a hell of a job victimizing yourself, then."
It's casual, a wisp beneath his breath--- perhaps more of a note to himself. But before he can think to say anything more, he watches in a heady mix of astonishment and smug-ridden amusement as the boy teeters gracelessly over the root. Seems like the spirits weren't digging this guy's vibe either.
"I mean, technically no?" He warrants a dismissive half-shrug--- not like this kid deserved the effort of both his shoulders. "Careful, angel. Might be a trick of the light, but it almost looks like you actually give a ."
@⭑ ᴴ mint phonpawiworakun Tiffany watched as the shorter girl picked up the student bridal style, also with much grace and ease. 'Super strength is pretty awesome.' Tiffany thought to herself, as she smiled and nodded in confirmation to Mint's plan of going to the infirmary. "Ok, will do," she said as she stood herself up, stretching up her arms in order to move her back muscles a bit amidst the soreness. She also dusted herself off a bit, taking out the couple wood pieces that must've been floating around while the telekinetic was raging, that got stuck in her brown locks.
Tiffany's attention came back to her co-worker as she triple checked her current state. "Yeah, I think I'll walk down with you." she let out a laugh at herself as she stretched her arms and still felt a weird ache coming directly from her spine. She knew it wasn't serious, but she figured she could get a quick patch up, while also reinforcing more calming emotions for the student to sleep, and hopefully wake with. Once Tiffany saw Mint was secure in holding the student, she made her way to the doors where the smaller crowd of kids waited. They got excited upon their approach. Tiffany saw that Mint had bared the door so nothing could hit the students, and she held out her hand to the side to call the water she had left on the ground to her palm, which it did, and then she made a slicing motion directed at the ball, cutting it down the middle and breaking the seal.
With that, she pushed open the doors, so that Mint could come through. "Step back! Make room!" she felt guilty for the unconscious girl, as her class was probably going to talk about this for weeks. A wave of protectiveness came over her, and she pushed students back gently with creating a little water "shield" on either side of the crowd to keep them back and create a path for Mint and herself to walk through. She sighed once they passed everyone, tossing the water to the nearest water fountain to drain in. "How aweful" she said out loud, in reference to the girl in Mint's arms, as she felt sympathy for her position and her pain which she had just scrolled through minutes early. A lot was happening in there. It made Tiffany chew on the corner of her lips.
@⭑ ˢ tiffany young Relief flooded Mint's features as Tiffany was seemingly able to get up on her own. Clearly, no major nerves or disks had been hit so they didn't have to worry about any sort of paralysis. She sat back on her haunches and waited for the other's self-assessment to finished. Once she was confirmed as okay, the shorter of the two sighed in relief a shook her head. "Don't mention it," she said with a smile, flashing a quick power pose with her hands on her hips. "It's my job," she added with a chuckle.
She stood up as well, dusting the debris from the knees of her pants and followed Tiffany, on guard in case she needed to catch her at a moment's notice. They'd made it across the large room without a hitch, though it was pretty slow with Tiffany having to pace herself. "I didn't do much," Mint admitted, rubbing the back of her neck. In all honesty, she probably would have handled things differently if she could do it again. Knocking out a student felt so....bad, for lack of a better word and especially in such a physical way. However, the deed was done and things were calm again, so it would have to do. She glanced around the sport's court which was in complete disarray. Her eyes caught the group of students still standing by the doors and windows. It thinned out considerably with the lack of actual drama occurring, much like how people dispersed after the breaking up of a fight.
Rather than crouching again, she stood off to the side and watched as the empath did her thing. It was fascinating to watch, honestly. She'd seen Baekhyun do something similar a few times, but she could still never work out exactly what was going on in either party's heads during the process. Granted, she wasn't a mind reader or anything, but it didn't keep her from trying. She had a natural curiosity about these things.
She had been focused more on Claire, so when Tiffany spoke again, her gaze snapped back up to the other woman. She nodded along to the rundown. "I'll take her to the infirmary to rest," she said, gently lifting the teenager into her arms. She was a bit taller than her, so it looked a bit awkward. "You can tell him she's there," she added, looking at Tiffany. "You are okay, right?" she asked, emphasizing the verb. "Maybe you should stop by and see a nurse too."
@⭑ ᴴ mint phonpawiworakun Tiffany already felt like she had failed her mission. If she couldn't touch Claire, there was no way she was going to be able to calm her down, as distance reaching was impossible for her. 'Should've pack more water' she thought, as she kept trying to push the board and metal post holding it up off her back, but she literally couldn't pack enough strength in her push to cause change. It wasn't the water, it was herself. 'Should've done more weight lifting' she regretfully thought. But there was no time for negative thoughts, there was enough of that eminating from Claire to last an entire year.
"Claire!" Tiffany called out the students name again to get her attention, looking up toward her when a short figure suddenly flew out of nowhere, running right up to the distressed girl, putting her into a hold. The telekintic thrashed around at first, trying to get away but the women's hold was firm, and in another minute all the balls and sports equipment dropped to the ground, and the student was unconscious.
Tiffany let out a sigh of relief, as the chaos was over. She tried for the 6th time to get herself unstuck with the help of the water, and let out a frustrated growl and let the water splash onto the ground next to her, as it was pointless. She looked up as the figure called her name and came to her side, immidelty recognizing the voice and face as soon as she was close.
"Mint" she said with a relaxed exhale, as the fellow teacher lifted and discarded the hoop without any problems, giving Tiffany room to breathe as she moved up onto all fours, and then sat herself slowly up and back on her knees. "Yeah, I think I'm ok, just a big bruise probably." she hissed softly as she felt around her body. Her back kind of hurt form the metal part of the basket having fallen and crash into her spine, but other than that nothing felt broken. "Thank you for the help." she told the other, running her hand through her hair to get it out of the way as she looked up at other, giving her a warm smile of gratitude.
She slowly stood herself up, just double checking that there really wasn't anything else out of place, and then walked herself stiffly over to the student who was resting on the floor. "You got it taken care of, just like that. Again, I really appreciate it. I'm not used to these types of...requests" she told Mint, as she knelt down next to the girl, gently pulling the students hair out of her face as she placed the telekinetic's head gently in her lap. Tiffany put one hand over the girl's chest, and the other under her bangs to her forehead. She closed her eyes and started sorting through the emotions happening in the students mind. Anger, Pain, Sadness, Rejection, Fear. Made her wince trying to not absorb too much. Tiffany pushed in some softer, lighter emotions and thoughts, trying to solve the problem internally, but it took some effort that gave her a headache. After a couple of moments, she released herself, and opened her eyes, taking her hands off of the student.
"She should be fine now. Just needs some sleep. I'll text Baekhyun so he can meet with her." she said as she gently rested the student back onto the gymnasium floor, taking a deep breathe. 'I need tea and water.' she thought as she rubbed the side of her temple.
@⭑ ˢ tiffany young Practically everyone was aware of the chaos that interrupted midday lessons. It left lessons unattended as students poured out of their classes to get even the slightest look at their rampant peer on the adaptable sports field. Those that weren't explicitly tasked with calming Claire were supposed to wrangle everyone else and get them somewhere safe. It was relatively easy work, most being more afraid of personal harm than they were interested in the chaos itself. Mint had been in the middle of a class of her own when she was asked to step in and run some interference for the particularly nosy students.
"Move, move, move! Get out the way!" she yelled, pushing her way through the rather dense crowd of stragglers, that pressed themselves against the windows and stood in the doorway to see what was going on. She stumbled a bit on the dismount at the front of the crowd but quickly caught her footing, ducking as a baseball sailed past her head. The sheer force caused it to embed itself in the wall and her eyes widened. She immediately turned to the kids in the doorway and pushed them all back before forcing the doors closed. She grabbed a nearby bat and pushed it through the handles before bending it around, effectively sealing the door.
She heard her co-worker yell out the irate girl's name, but barely had the time to wonder why Baekhyun wasn't around too when the floor shook, accompanied by a thunderous crash. Immediately whipping around to the source, narrowly avoiding a flying tennis racket, her eyes widened.
", Tiffany!" She glanced between her colleague and the student, trying to gauge what the best course of action would be. First and foremost, she had to subdue Claire so she couldn't hurt anyone else, including herself. Mint bounced anxiously on the pads of her feet, looking around for something to use. How do you stop a psychokenetic? It was only a matter of seconds between the incident and her decision, but it felt like forever before she felt herself running over to the student, barely dodging all sorts of sports equipment, and locking her in a chokehold. Within a few seconds, the flying objects halted and was limp in her arms. Her relieved sigh was clear as day in the sudden silence and she laid the teen down gently before running over to where Tiffany was still trapped.
"Hold on, Tiff, I've got you," she said crouching and finding a good grip on the crumpled hoop. She lifted it off with a slight grunt and tossed it a few feet away. "Are you okay? Is anything broken?" she asked, hands ghosting over Tiffany's frame as she wanted to help but didn't want to disrupt anything. Thankfully the backboard had been plexiglass, so it hadn't shattered and caused further damage.
@⭑ ᴴ mint phonpawiworakun Tiffany had gotten a message during her meditation class about a student who was a emotional wreck and was tearing up the school with their powers. Byun Baekhyun, who was a hero and much stronger with his Empathy abilities wasn't available to take the call, so Tiffany became the second emergency contact. Now even though Empathy was her main ability, the side of Empathy were she could manipulate others emotions was not as strong or as simple as reading and feeling others emotions, and this wasn't going to be like a meditation session where the student would be listening to her and wanting to guidance to navigate their feelings. On top of the fact this student was a telekinetic, which meant they would be throwing things everywhere, and Miss Young only had two water bottle worth of water to block those attacks.
She moved quickly, not having too difficult a time feeling and tracking the student down into the sports court. She could feel from a mile away their relentless rage and fear, and when she walked onto the court, basketballs and baseballs were flying everywhere. The student, a girl, was breathing heavily, but continued to throw and rip out everything in sight. She screamed in rage as she started ripping the basketball hoop out from the ground.
"Claire!" Tiffany called, moving the water out of the bottles she brought, making a umbrella over her head so she wouldn't get hit my random flying objects as she moved toward the student. The girl turned sharply toward her, her eyes wild and frantic. "Stay AWAY!" she yelled, and chucked the entire hoop at Tiffany. Tiffany threw the water wall in front of her to block the heavy object that was coming for her, side stepping fast so she wouldn't get hit, but the girl easily just moved the object in a sweeping motion, knocking Tiffany from behind to the ground, before collapsing the structure on top of her body. Tiffany coughed as the wind got knocked out of her body, tears automatically flying to her eyes from the shock. She reached out for the water again, and it traveled back to her hands. She tried making another wall and angling it to get under the hoop that was holding her down. She pushed up, but the thing barely made a creak. Tiffany grit her teeth, trying to move and keep pushing, but there was no progress. 'Shoot, this is bad'
