@ˢ mark lee Kunhang slowly opened his eyes and found himself still standing at the edge of the roof. He was very certain that he wanted to end his life, but why was he still standing in the same place as a few minutes before? It was as easy as one, two. If he just took one step forward, it would end all of his misery in a quick and easy way. He nodded his head and ran a hand through his hair, letting out a deep sigh. "Okay..you can do this. Just..close your eyes again and just take a step forward like you're walking, except..you're not..you're falling. To your death." He mumbled to himself and rubbed the back of his neck before closing his eyes again. He started counting from ten to one in head and he determined that he would walk forward on one. Ten, he began counting and slowly counted down. As he reached two and then one, he nearly took a step forward until he heard a voice yelling at him from behind and suddenly, a warm hand in his own. Kunhang opened his eyes again to look at the stranger who held onto his hand. "You..who are you? Listen, you can't..stop me. I planned this weeks and weeks before. I am..I'm going through with this."
@ˢ wong kunhang It was supposed to be Mark's leisure day as he spent time walking around the city he hardly knew. Mark after all pretty much enrolled once he found it. And it wasn't long after he left his home to find this place. Mark was a determined person after all, and once he tends to set his goal on something, he'll make sure that his goal was achieved, even if it meant burdening himself. What Mark didn't know was that he was going to be in for one. Mark overheard about a rooftop cafe from his classmates and that's where he was headed to. And when he arrived, the atmosphere oozed lax and cozy and reminded him of simpler times. Though one thing was off, he couldn't exactly put his finger on it. He ordered a caramel macchiato and waited for his drink to be brewed. As he stood around, analyzing his surroundings, he found the source of his discomfort, something eye-opening. "What are you doing?" He almost yelled, but he didn't for the sake of the boy, hushing his voice down to be only audible enough to the boy as he ran over, grabbing the other's hand. "Whatever you are thinking about doing, don't do it."
@ˢ mark lee "Thank you for the drink!" Kunhang said excitedly as he left the rooftop cafe, a cup of hot chocolate in his hand as he walked closer to the edge of the rooftop, out of sight of everyone else. He slowly sat down and began to sip the beverage in the cup, looking at all the pretty lights. Kunhang had been alone for many years now, and he was supposed to be adjusted to being all alone with no family or friends but he could never get used to it. He disliked celebrating holidays or his birthdays because that was when he felt really lonely. Kunhang could barely get out of his house around Christmas, due to happy families shopping with each other. Kunhang knew he could never have that, not ever since what happened. As he finished his cup of hot chocolate, he put it down next to him and stood up slowly. He peeked over the edge of the rooftop and let out a soft sigh, stepping closer to stand at the edge. No one would miss him if he were to jump right now. He had no friends or family that would notice he's missing and go looking for him, so why not do it, right? Kunhang let out a large breathe that he didn't even know he was holding before closing his eyes. "Here goes.."
@ᴴ song yuqi "ah, yuqi," mingyu's voice was chipper, bowing his head slightly. it was a force out of habit, him bowing whenever he meets someone no matter their age or rank. he'd always end up bowing to them. he shifts in his seat slightly, sitting a little more upright as he glances at her, meeting the younger's eyes with a small smile. "no, no you didn't. i wasn't waiting for too long. did you want anything to eat at all? or to drink?" he slides over the menu to her, shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly as he hums. "you don't have to get anything, if you don't want to."
mingyu leans forward slightly, watching as his breath condenses in front of them. he rests his chin on the palm of his hand, tilting his head slightly as he eyes yuqi. he notes her tired expression, a cheeky grin playing on his face. "did you just wake up or something? is that why you're late?" mingyu teases, a hearty laugh trembling in his torso as he leans back in his chair. he wonders if the younger ended up oversleeping, causing her to be later than expected.
@⭑ ˢ kim mingyu yuqi yawns softly as she covers with the back of her hand, walking up the stairs. she's dressed a little too comfortable for meeting her teacher, but then again, she supposes the teacher won't mind too much? after all, she's heard nothing but good things about the man, and it's why she's chosen him to help her with her korean linguistics. so she pulls her backpack up, not really affected by the weight because of her passive super strength. it's not like she brought much with her in the first place, anyway.
when she reaches the rooftop, she exhales through , eyes wandering around as she looks for a familiar face. her eyes light up once she's found the male teacher, and she immediately walks toward his table, waving a hand. "hello, sir!" she greets cheerily, and she sits down on the chair in front of the man. "did i make you wait for too long? i hope i didn't!"
@ᴴ song yuqi mingyu taps his fingers on the table gently, letting the fall of gravity do most of the work for him. he was waiting for yuqi, a student at the academy, who reached out to him for help with her korean. eyeing the table in front of him, mingyu had an array of books laid out, ranging from an assortment of levels. he wasn't sure how far yuqi was with her korean, so he brought all the books he had-- just in case.
it was a cooler january day, the wintery chill bringing in a slight snowfall. mingyu was hoping for a snowy winter, wanting to see the academy covered in snow. there was something about the winter time that made him feel more at ease. maybe it was the times in which he resorted to the seasons to give him a sense of comfort, a sense of some order in his already chaotic and hectic life. mingyu glances down at his watch. he lets out a hum, wondering where the younger female could possibly be.
