@lee hoseok. “Well, sherrif.” she begins, looking around the diner and taking a sip of her drink in her hand before she shrugs off her shoulders, “Everyone here shows up when there’s a party here, plus, there’s a chance of my Grandma calling you to check on me.”
Lalisa nods her head in approval to the older’s little accomplishment since the shirt does look good on him, scrunching up her face and placing a hand on her waist when she heard about his comment with her look tonight. “I do not normally look like a teen who is delinquent,” she raised a brow, though, she did caused minor troubles under his supervision which is particularly brought by her stuborness oftentimes.
“People do think I look pretty, don’t I?” Lalisa holds out the skirt of her dress and smiled at him, “Would you like to dance? Or do you like to drink, they are serving booze there.” a finger points at the direction of the dancing crowd at a distance, tip-toeing to whisper on his ear the last sentence as her finger points at the side where the grown-ups gathered for a liquor here and there.
@lalisa manoban. Hoseok wheeled around at the sound of a familiar voice, a bright and dopey smile already gracing his features even before he saw the teen standing behind him proudly offering a slice of cake. Of course the youth would be drawn to a party like this. Sure, they were likely nothing like the ones in the big city, but he liked to think they still knew how to have a good time in each other's company. The 90s tunes from his childhood still droned out of the jukebox and he almost laughed as the thought crossed his mind that they must have already seemed like oldies to Lalisa by the time she was the same age that he had been when they'd come out. Reaching out, he relieved her of the slice of cake and the juice, the little plastic cup appearing even smaller in his big hands. "How did you know I was gonna show up?" He inquired in amusement and tried his best to hold the fork in his hand that held his drink so he could stab at the cake. If there was one thing the Sheriff loved, it was sweets (call him a stereotypical donut muncher if you dared) - and he wasn't about to delay having a bite. He managed to unceremoniously shove some of the treat into his mouth, his tongue flicking out to chase the lingering remains of frosting clinging to his lips. "Mm, I had to stop by the ranch and bring Bebe back out from pasture before dark. But hey! I changed my shirt." He gestured to his button up as if this was some great accomplishment. "You cleaned up nice, though. No one would ever guess you're a delinquent~"
@lee hoseok. Music brought a 90s vibe to it. Lisa is dancing with the youngsters in front of the classic jukebox when her eyes found a glimpse of the familiar face of the town’s sherrif entering the diner jam-packed with a lot of people from kids running around the place, a group of elders indulging their chit-chat sessions of one another and the teens alike her who are always the last to leave the party.
Lisa excused herself to greet the man, her pony tail swaying along with her floral lilac dress match with her white sneakers as she made her way out of the cluster of people dancing to the beat of the music. He is talking with the birthday celebrant, and Lalisa awaits for the moment to surprise him.
“Hey!” she sneaks at the man from behind, holding out a slice of the delicious birthday cake on a plate with a hand and a glass of juice with the other one, “Here’s yours.” she brightly smiled. “I see you went straight right here, sherrif.” she comments, noticing the dirty smudges on his jeans.
@lalisa manoban. In a small town with barely anything happening, birthdays and holidays were always an excuse for everyone to let loose. Word traveled around fast when something would be going on and usually everyone at least showed up, even if it was brief, with something homemade for the lucky individual celebrating another year going by. The festivities seemed to be in full swing at the diner by the time Hoseok rolled up in his beat up truck, still wearing his dirt smudged jeans and work boots. He at least managed to change into a clean, light blue button up so that he didn't look like a total disaster, though. Cradling his gift like it was something precious, Hoseok made his way inside and was already mentally prepared for the onslaught of greetings that came his way as he weaved his way to the crowd in an attempt to find the birthday girl. No matter if he saw someone yesterday or last week, they always wanted to catch up about something. Finally, what seemed like half an hour later, he managed to hand over the simple but delicious jar of marmalade that was neatly wrapped in a kerchief to its intended recipient. "Happy birthday! My Maw wanted me to give you this. She would have come, but anything after 5pm is a bit late for her." He explained with a dorky laugh. Glancing around, he noticed that the birthday cake was already set out on the counter and nearly halfway gone. "Aw~ I missed the singing?!"
@son seungwan /humming softly to herself, she cleans a table before passing by another one where a family was sitting at, one of her regular customers and stopped to talk with them, patting the son‘s head who beamed up at her
@park sooyoung. Thanks, chère.
*her mood brightens a little bit thanks to your smile and she watches you briefly before her form slumps forward on the table as she pulls out her phone and pouts at the screen, thumb tapping away*
@son seungwan /for some reason her heart skips beat at the puppy eyes look, nodding her head more
Sure! I‘ll tell them to put double ice cream to it
/flashing the other a bright pearly white smile, she turns around and gives the order to the kitchen before continuing to help to clean some tables
@park sooyoung. Um.. vanilla milkshake, please. Can you make it with ice cream on top?
*she nods and flutters her lashes as she flashes you her best puppy eyes*
@son seungwan I see.
Good choice! Would you like to have some juice or any drink with it?
/she chuckles to herself, nodding her head while scribbling the order down in the small notepad
@park sooyoung. *her gaze casually shifts and she spaces out, eyes staring out of the window while listening to you and nodding slowly along before sighing softly*
Everything sounds really delicious...
*she trails off, lower lip jutting out slightly then sighs again for the umpteenth time that day*
I'm in a junk food mood today so I'll be getting the Triple Treat Menu please and maybe the pancake with mini marshmallows as a dessert.
*she grins mischievously, eyes shifting back to you as she nods firmly*
@son seungwan /when those eyes look up at her, she gulps inaudibly, clearing as she continues to smile at her
I would personally recommend the Pancakes with Maple syrup and to top it off but you can decide yourself, mini marshmallows. Or the Triple Treat Menu, which consists of three mini burgers and fries as side dish. Oh! And the Red Velvet cake as a dessert
@park sooyoung. *with her head thrown back and eyes closed, she doesn't notice you approaching and she jumps slightly when she hears your voice, her almond eyes staring up at you wide eyed as she clutches her chest*
I uh, um.. any suggestions? I've never been here before.
*she nods after composing herself, and folds her arms on the table*
@son seungwan /her head perks up at the bell announcing another customer, smoothing her hands down her red dress uniform before heading over to the shorter girl
welcome to Joy‘s Diner, do you already know what you want or do you still need some time?
@park sooyoung. *pushes the door open with her tiny body while trying to fix her tousled hair then huffs as she pulls it into a low ponytail then makes her way to the booth that is the farthest from the door, slumping down on the seat with a sigh*
