The Junkyard

Where do all the obsolete end up? Where will they go?

♞ Momoko Gumi [A] 3 years ago
@Ace She gritted her teeth at his laugh, wanting to shake her head at his words but knowing better than to move that much when he was knuckle deep inside her eye. She gritted her teeth more at his words though opted to stay silent instead, wincing as she felt him finally pull the fake out, her eye watering more as he pushed her head back. It felt wrong not having the eye in her socket, disorienting, as though she couldn’t tell which way was up or down. “I don’t cry.” she retorted, glaring at the man as she went to lie down, avoiding damaging anything in the room. “And why are you such a ?” she asked in return, rolling her eye at him. “Why is anyone the way they are?”
Ace 3 years ago
@♞ Momoko Gumi Soohyun simply laughed. A laugh that was both voided of any sweetness and one of that of an emotionless pit of darkness. "Darling... I'm not speaking about her. I'm rather speaking about you. " He pulled his lips into a tight, insincere smile before pulling the robotic eye out without much thought. After the motion, he shoved Momoko's forehead back and signaled that if was okay for her to lay down while he worked on the eye. "You can cry if you want to. I won't cut your head off for it. " He mumbled, only half joking. "Why are you such a disturbed child. So much anger pent up into a tiny, compact body. "
♞ Momoko Gumi [A] 3 years ago
@Ace At the mans words and the way he moved his face, she stayed quiet but glared at him. It was true, three years in the city and all Momoko could definitely confirm was that it had killed her mother somehow. Then the noise of the tapping on her robotic eye brought her out of her thoughts, causing her to jerk reflexively before she managed to focus, letting it happen. Then came his next words, and she realised what he was saying her heart rate quickening in anger. “You-“ she started before his fingers dug into her eye, drawing a yelp from her. She hadn’t been prepared for the pain, but after the initial yelp she gritted her teeth, trying to stay silent, her hands reaching for something to steady herself on, once she found it gripping tightly, her knuckles almost turning white. “Y-you don’t get… get to speak about her!” she managed to say, trying to focus on her own anger than the fact that his hand was inside her eye, her human eye watering from the pain as she squeezed it shut.
Ace 3 years ago
@♞ Momoko Gumi "Hm. The city only offered her death. Isn't that right?" He moved and pushed Momoko's face to face him rudely. His blank eyes studied the malfunctioning eye, tapping it with his finger. "Now.. what was the reason for coming to the city again? The city where she died." He mumbled idly, insinuating that Momoko had been the reason why her mother died. Without any warning, he dug his fingers into the girl's eye, wiggling his finger around to find the button to deactivate it, his other hand hovering over his wife's daughter's face in case she'd move too much from the pain.

@Ace She gritted her teeth, glaring at him but trying to restrain herself, to avoid beating the of him. She just wanted to see him hurt, physically, emotionally, spiritually, she didn't care. Then came his next words and she gritted her teeth more, hissing through them as she breathed. "She only chose you because you were smart enough to get in there before she realised what this city had to offer!" that part was her own fault. Had she not been a damn idiot and avoiding putting herself in danger, they would have stayed in New Tokyo. It was only because of Momoko's damn eye that they'd come to Sigil. Then his next question pain. "And risk you overdosing me on that ?" she shook her head at the thought. "I don't need anesthesia."
Ace 3 years ago
@♞ Momoko Gumi He didn't really have the energy to argue with her. "Yes. 10 guys begging her, but not to be their wives, you poor soul." A bitter and judging chuckle trickled out of his lips. "And if they were really better, it doesn't change the fact that she chose me, sweetheart. " He had never used these words to address his daughter, but by the way she was speaking to him, he figured that it would put her in a fit of rage. Something he thought would be fun to witness. "Mhm mhm." He replied simply with a curt nod as he finished setting up what he needed to fix the annoying brat's eye. "Do you want anesthesia?" He asked. Usually he would just go straight in to it, but he didn't want the girl pulling a gun on him at the first sense of pain.
♞ Momoko Gumi [A] 3 years ago
@Ace She was glad when he stopped speaking. His voice, although it was a perfectly normal voice, grated on her ears too much. As she managed to hit the man, a smirk spread across her face. “Looked pretty surprised to me.” she said before. “I don’t care whether it was good or bad. You lost the right to talk about her! She only ing married you because you were the first person that didn’t care what her job was. If she’d have waited even a week she’d have had tens of guys begging to make her their wife, all of them better than you!” she paused for a moment, trying to get herself back under control and breathing deeply before starting again. “I could have blasted you all the way back to whatever cesspit you came from. Think yourself lucky that I just punched you.” she chewed the inside of her cheek as she spoke, glaring at the man and watching him closely, her hands on her guns should she need it.
Ace 3 years ago
@♞ Momoko Gumi "I rarely ever get surprised. But if you do manage to figure it out, I'll gladly accept my defeat and suffer at your hands." It was weird. It hadn't happened before, but he was talking to momoko way more than he ever did in the three years he'd been married to her mother. Disgusting. Talking was a waste of energy. So he decides to stop. When he turned around, he was suddenly hit in the face, the sheer force knocking the scrawny engineer down onto his . A scoff left his lips as he stared up at Momoko with unreadable, dark eyes. "Poor child. I never said she wasn't a good person. Maybe you should look into yourself to see what underlying issues you have to your mother. " He said slowly and clearly, no anger infused, but there was a hint of darkness brewing in his tone. Though his face was calm, his mind went towards Momoko's other healthy eye, wondering how it'd feel to run his screwdriver right into her iris.
♞ Momoko Gumi [A] 3 years ago
@Ace “There are ways!” she retorted rapidly, glaring at the man. “You’d be surprised!” Momoko just wanted to find a way to make him stop talking and just shut up, but alongside that she also seemed to crave some sort of acknowledgement or approval from him. After all, she could have left already, but that craving was causing her to stay there. Then he spoke of her mother, comparing her to her mother. Instantly she clenched her fist, spending a few moments just trying to find something to say, the words barely escaping her, before she rushed at the man, lashing and throwing a punch at him, aiming for his face. “She was a good person! You lost the right to talk about her when you left!” she yelled at the man.
Ace 3 years ago
@♞ Momoko Gumi This made Soohyun laugh. "Make sure I suffer? Please tell me, dear daughter of mine. How will you make me suffer from the grave? Maybe I should work on your brain next. " He shook his head in amusement and walked into the building without holding the door for Momoko. "You are your mother's child, I suppose. She didn't have a knack much other than using her body. " His words were true to him, and he didn't see anything wrong with saying what he said. But in all honesty, the unapologetic genuis only wanted to anger his step daughter. To drive her to the edge. To see that pure and raw anger she had pent up against him. It was a habit of his with everything he encountered. "Sit. I'll go find the parts needed for that thing. Don't worry. I only offer perfection. "
♞ Momoko Gumi [A] 3 years ago
@Ace Momoko listened to the man, shaking her head as she heard his words. Everything he'd said made sense, in the grand scheme of things, he'd only been in her life for three years. Even then he was only really in her life for her mother. It wasn't as though he'd been the only one of her mothers partners that she'd met after all.
"Whatever..." she mumbled at him, sighing before silently following him, before a few more words escaped from her. "Kill me and I'll make sure you suffer." were all the words she said as she made her way after him, stopping a few feet away as he kicked the door open.
Ace 3 years ago
@♞ Momoko Gumi There were outburst and complaints from Monoko, but as usual, they went unheard by the genius engineer. He wasn't one to care much for others feelings and would only do so if they benefitted him. Momoko, on the other hand. He didn't know why he was inclined to help her, but he did. He didn't have an answer to give her, but he assumed that it was just in his nature to fix things that were broken. That, and breaking things just to fix them up again.
"You're right not to trust me. That should be one of the take aways you should have from the time you've been with me. But the other one should be that I, Soohyun, am a God with my hands. I only strive to create perfection. Your meesly eye is no different. So don't worry, dear daughter, you're nothing special to me." He said, calm and clear, kicking the rusty door open.
♞ Momoko Gumi [A] 3 years ago
@Ace She heard his words and did the best she could to ignore him, though him grabbing her wrist and dragging her back so he could grab her chin made her panic, an itchy feeling growing over her wrist and her chin where he’d grabbed her.
“Don’t touch me!” she yelled in response, a hand going to scratch at her wrist, trying to get rid of the itchy feeling, then at her chin once he’d pushed her away. She was tired of people. They were always too close to her, she needed her space and no matter where she went, there always seemed to be someone that didn’t respect that.
“Why do you give a ?” she called out after him, not moving from her spot as she watched him cautiously. “I have someone who’s agreed to fix it anyway, I just need to find some parts for him. It’s not as though I can trust you to not take it and then leave me with an empty hole after all.” she stated, curious to see if it would make her stepfather react at all.
Ace 3 years ago
@♞ Momoko Gumi Soohyun's brows twitched in mild concern when his step daughter suddenly took a step back, away from him. The concern quickly disappeared and a mocking grin replaced it instead. "What's wrong, Momoko? Are you feeling sick? You poor little thing." He mumbled boredly and grabbed his step daughter by the wrist, not caring if it would hurt her or not. He pulled her back to face him, grabbed her by the chin and lifted her face up in order to see the broken eye.
"It seems you need a new one." He clicked his tongue before pushing her face away from his and turning on his heels to head back into his hidden bunker. "This way. You wouldn't want that thing to short circuit your brain now, would you? Not that there's much up there anyway." He mocked, not waiting for her response as he was already half way to the entrance.
♞ Momoko Gumi [A] 3 years ago
@Ace She could tell he was mocking her with how he put his hands up, and she couldn’t help but grit her teeth as she watched him. She wanted to hurt him, well she wanted to hurt everyone, but especially him. When he’d left she’d had to deal with everything herself, even losing the home that they’d lived in since without her mother she wasn’t able to keep a deal with the landlord. The worst part was that what the man said was true. He hadn’t owed her everything, any vows were just to her mother, but Momoko had been stupid enough to believe that they might actually be a real family.
As the man stepped closer, Momoko stumbled back a few steps, stopping as the man stood close enough to have his head on her gun. For a few minutes, her finger twitched on the trigger, before something crossed her mind, her free hand moving to cover as she suppressed the urge to throw up. She needed to get away from there, and so she lowered her gun, turning and beginning to leave as she did so. “Just off alright?” she called over her shoulder, her hand still close to .
Ace 3 years ago
@♞ Momoko Gumi Soohyun raised his hands up in defense, the gun not really phasing him as he made it seem. The gesture was more of a taunting one to Momoko, as if to say she was 'oh so scary,' though his expression said other wise. "I think you've misunderstood. She's dead. I don't owe /you/ anything. I was free to leave when /my/ wife died." He said. This was the most he's ever said in one day ever since he left his wife's family. Hell. It was the most he's ever said since moving to Sigil. How tiring it was. He sighed and walked right up to the gun and pressed his forehead against its head, a smirk adorning his plumped lips. "If it'll really make you happy, my dear daughter.. go ahead. Shoot."
♞ Momoko Gumi [A] 3 years ago
@Ace She heard the mans voice and instantly stood up, pointing her gun in his direction as he appeared. “You don’t get to talk about her! You lost every right to that the day that you tucked off.” she spat the words out, feeling the anger boiling up in the pit of her stomach as she glared at him through her human eye. Then as he questioned her eye, she frowned more at him. “Occupational hazard.” was the only thing she said in response, her gun still pointed at him for a few moments of silence. “How about you just piss off and neither of us bother the other again. Sound fair?”
Ace 3 years ago
@♞ Momoko Gumi "Tch." The voice was all too familiar to Soohyun. He had to put up with it for 3 years. "Is that any way to talk to your father? Did your mother teach you that, too" He called out, stepping out from behind the building. His voice was taunting and unfriendly, but his face wore a blank expression. His eyes were deep black holes that seemed endless if anyone were to stare into them. Eyes of someone who truly have no consideration those around them. His eyes flickered over to Momoko's, brow arching. "What's up with your eye? Did you finally manage it that up?"
♞ Momoko Gumi [A] 3 years ago
@Ace Momoko heard a sound of something moving, and she began hurrying, picking up a few things and checking them against the picture on her phone, frowning and dropping them as she began to realise that this place was maybe even less commonly found than she'd initially expected. Frowning more, she swung her gun around so she could hold it, not bothering to found whoever it was that was in the junkyard, at least not until they got closer. "Whoever you are, keep yer ing distance or I'll blast you all the way the the South China Seas, alright?" she called out the warning.
Ace 3 years ago
@♞ Momoko Gumi Soohyun yawned. It had been another long night while fixing up an enhancement he had been obsessing over. He wanted to create an arm that looked completely normal, but had the ability to transform into an unstoppable weapon. The sun was up, meaning that he would have full visibility to scavenge for the parts he needed to test out his theory. He kicked the rusty door of his hideout open and stepped out, coughing at the stench that filled his nose. Not the best makeshift hideout and man he owned, but it was convenient to test all his theoretical plans here without much legal issues. He turned to move towards the mechanical piles behind his building and paused when he heard rustling, as if someone was digging through /his/ junk.
♞ Lee Soohyuk [h] 3 years ago
@♞ Momoko Gumi He wholeheartedly agreed with her. It was unusual for him to meet someone who shared his sentiments. Everyone puts their confidence in androids without considering all the things that may go wrong with them. Working closely with them frightened him, but he had little choice because everyone in Sigil had androids working with them. There was no way to move forward if you didn't. Soohyuk felt himself growing fond of his newly assigned bodyguard. He allowed himself to smile warmly at her. "You know, you may be the only person with common sense in this entire city. I can't believe how much I'm growing to like you. I thought I would have to kick you to the curb." He chuckled, glancing at her to assess her reaction.
♞ Momoko Gumi [A] 3 years ago
@Ace Anybody looking at her could probably see that something was up with her eye. The colour had completely faded from it, and it was jittering around in the socket, leaving that eye useless. Heck she couldn’t even close it and she hated it. She’d gone to one of the upgrade scientists in the gang, and the man had agreed to help her if she could find the necessary parts. Of course she should have just gone to Ciel, but hindsight is a gift…
Now she was here, rifling through the various mechanical parts left behind in the junkyard, a picture on her phone showing her what she needed to find.
♞ Momoko Gumi [A] 3 years ago
@♞ Lee Soohyuk Momoko didn't take her eyes off the android, even with how subdued it was she still didn't trust it. She listened to Soohyuk of course, nodding to his words. "Roger that, destroy. Maybe the weapons testers could have something to just annihilate it." she said, her voice cold, before the next words came and she finally turned her full attention to Soohyuk. "Of course. You won't be alone at any time. People tend to underestimate me so maybe we'll be able to get the mole." she smirked slightly, nodding at him before he asked her about androids. "I don't trust them. There's too much to go wrong with them. I barely trust Winter, or Ciel the doctor. I don't want to have any more around than those two."
♞ Lee Soohyuk [h] 3 years ago
@♞ Momoko Gumi When everyone had boarded, the chopper lifted off into the sky. He sighed in relief, his tense shoulders noticeably relaxing. Soohyuk rubbed his temples. "First, we need to get this monstrosity far away from me.  After that, we destroy it. We already have enough androids; we don't need anymore." He longed to return to headquarters and pass out. Unfortunately, he had to get to the bottom of the ambush. For the life of him, he couldn't think of who could want him. It couldn't have been the Phantom Cobras since they'd have dispatched one of their numerous assassins. Or was he too insignificant for them to waste their time on? "I want you to stay as close to me as possible until we figure this out. They'd probably love it if they could catch me alone. I have a feeling that someone among us might be a traitor." He wasn't a fan of accusing members of his gang, but he couldn't put it past anyone to want him to disappear. He was crucial in keeping the Golden Dragons together, and with him gone, someone else could step in. "How do you feel about being surrounded by androids?" He inquired, disgustedly gazing at the robot they had caught.
★ Kondo Yohdi [A] 3 years ago
@★ Kouryu Yohdi chuckled slightly as he walked around the edges of the junkyard. He'd come here mostly to see what sort of scrap metal might lay within the mess, and what he could make use of, but he'd also come here just to get their receptionist alone. Somehow he'd managed to convince the other android to come with him, and now they were here, Yohdi was determined to make sure that he got the android on his side.
♞ Momoko Gumi [A] 3 years ago
@♞ Lee Soohyuk Momoko couldn’t help but grin slightly at the man despite the situation. “Don’t worry, nobody will find out from me.” she stated, nodding and then listening to his additions to the plan. Everything made sense, and she nodded solemnly, a slight sense of worry for him washing over her as she swung her gun back onto her back to keep it out of the way so that a surrender looked more convincing. Then she watched as Soohyuk stood up to surrender. She kept her eyes on him, a hand close to her grenades just in case. She didn’t have much time to think before she could hear the helicopter and she realised they’d sent androids. She hadn’t even known how many androids they had, and every time she had encountered them, they’d set her on edge. She hated them, as bad as it sounded, and though she’d tried to make an effort with their doctor, she still didn’t trust androids. Within seconds, they’d grabbed an android, and Momoko was following Soohyuk up to the ladder, sinking into a seat opposite the captive android, her eyes glaring at the thing, refusing to move off of it even as she spoke to Soohyuk. “So, we need to find out who sent them, right?” she asked, looking the android up and down. “What do we do after that? Destroy it?”
♞ Lee Soohyuk [h] 3 years ago
@♞ Momoko Gumi "I can honestly say that I am glad to have you here. If you were ever to tell anyone, I would deny it with every fiber of my being." He glanced at his watch. "Give or take about 2 minutes? It's pretty fast, so hopefully, they'll be here soon. I'll surrender first. If you pop your head up, they might shoot first and ask questions later." Soohyuk stepped out from behind cover, raising his hands in surrender. Inside his stomach, he could feel his pulse. Their strategy was primarily based on the speed with which the helicopter would arrive. The Androids exchanged glances, with one taking a step forward. Each step seemed to take an eternity. The seconds ticked by slowly as the robot advanced toward them. He swore he heard the chopper approaching their spot in the distance. The helicopter hovered above them as soon as the android seized each of their arms, ropes falling, allowing two guys to come sliding down each one. Soohyuk sighed upon seeing them. Of course, they'd send androids to take care of the androids. As Soohyuk commanded the other to grab the closest android, one of the men shielded them. The helicopter drew closer to the ground, just enough for them to board and fled the area. The androids didn't fight back, which perplexed him even more. He'd certainly get to the bottom of it once they were safely back at headquarters and as far away from that as possible. He cautiously boarded the chopper, sinking into a seat next to the android they had seized. One of his men had somehow put the android in some sort of trance. He didn't know much about robots, so he was pleased as long as it didn't assault him.
★ Ghost 3 years ago
@★ Kwon Jiyong Jiyong seemed to know what Ghost needed before he had to say it and it almost reminded him of old times. He shook his head, he definitely needed recalibrating after this. Ghost dragged his sleeve across his forehead, his human body was falling into shock and something started to smell like.... barbecued meat. He looked through the wires and tools the other man had brought over, nodding in approval. However, when Jiyong came close enough that Ghost could strangle him he had to resist the urge to do it. Ghost felt pressed like a panini and he stared at Jiyong with an equally flat facial expression. His throat wasn't numb to the knife and bled out in bursts, the pain was obvious in Ghost's eyes but of course he couldn't whimper. All he could do was curl his fists up tightly. Once Jiyong opened his throat he could see the entire voicebox had overheated, plus there were no muscles in the vocal chords anymore. Silently, Ghost tried to instruct him on how to fix it through his hands and when Jiyong was almost done doing so Ghost slipped a chip into it which allowed him to talk whilst the box was still in Jiyong's hands. "Karma has an interesting way of working, don't you think?"
