@❛ taeyeon kim ᵉˡᵈᵉʳ truth be told, the sight of red eyes and sharp canines didn't bother him - it alarmed him, but not as much as the interior of a gun's barrel. it was ironic, really, that he was more afraid of the gun wielding robber than he was of the blood-drinking vampire that had actually made an effort to save him. sure vampires and lycans alike were terrifying and could easily snap his neck without a care in the world; he's sure they had more things to worry about than a pathetic human like him anyways. humans, on the other hand, can be even more scary.

felix remained behind the counter the entire time, almost curled into himself with arms across his chest like he was hugging himself. he kept his gaze down, was quiet and only spoke when directly addressed. his gaze eventually lifts when the cops leave and the woman begins speaking to him. he stares at her for a couple seconds almost blankly before sniffling quietly, leaning away from the counter so he could begin making a bouquet of the two flowers she had been eyeing. it's a little difficult because his hands are shaking.

"believe me, you're not my first brush with a vampire," he says after a tense moment. "so you can spare me the death threats. i haven't told anyone since the death dealer and i don't intend on telling anyone now. at least just--" the bouquet is finished after a moment or so and he turns around to hand it to her, palms still shaking as everything finally catches up to him, springing mist in his circassian eyes, "--at least take this. the f-flowers you liked. it's free as a way of saying thank you, i guess, for.. saving me."

@❛ felix lee Taeyeon wanted to kill the robber, aiming to snap his neck or drink his blood but as soon as she was going to do it, she realized the clerk had just found out that the customer is a vampire. She noticed her mask had been removed and her fangs were uncovered. She had no choice but to kill them both, they must not know about her being a vampire. Just when the police arrived, Taeyeon wears her other face mask but this time it is a cloth mask and pretend to cough. Her eyes went back to her normal color, "He almost shoot the poor guy, officer." She reported the officer and they quickly apprehended the burglar, handcuffed him and pushed him inside the police car.

The officer told the two of them that the burglar was an ex-convict who escaped a month ago. Taeyeon nodded and thanked the officer before bowing in gratitude, and when they got off. The elder vampire turned to him and looked at him, "What you saw earlier... You might wanna keep it a secret." She told him as he looked at him seriously.

@❛ taeyeon kim ᵉˡᵈᵉʳ his heart was pounding so fast that he could hear it thumping loudly in his ears. the barrel of the pistol looked like some sleek tunnel and if he squinted just enough, there could be a bullet seen hidden inside; ready to pierce through the air with the simple clench of the trigger and the finger that laid upon it seemed to be itching to pull it. felix swallows thickly, holding his breath for what seems to be eternity, but there was some sort of knot bobbing in his throat. out of his peripheral view, the finger on the trigger moves the slightest and the boy immediately feels fear spring throughout his entire body. the natural 'fight or flight' mode activated - and just as he thinks the burglar is about to pull the trigger, the woman suddenly intervenes. felix lets out a heavy breath and stumbles back against the counter behind him, legs feeling like jello. the flash of purple irises and sharp canines that oddly resembled fangs causes the boy to go rigid, blue orbs widening in shock.

"i-- m-ma'am your--" a shaking hand lifts to point towards her fallen face mask. the door suddenly bursting open has the human jumping nearly two feet out of his own skin however when he notices that it was the police arriving, guns aimed high, his entire body sags in relief. "t-the burglar is on the ground, officers," he manages to rasp out as his legs slowly give out from beneath him, making him sink down to the ground.

@❛ felix lee At this point, one life will be taken away if she doesn't do anything as a human. Taeyeon had to act quickly, the clerk is on a gunpoint and she needs to save him and neutralized the situation. She sees a scissor on the table with a bunch of flowers, she slowly gets the scissor before the elder vampire throws it against the robber's hand, disarming his gun in the process. He yells in pain before he rages towards the vampire, "You ! Come here!" He strangles the woman but Taeyeon didn't flinch. Instead, the orbs slowly turns into a purple ones which made the robber froze, he messes with a wrong person. She throws a hard punch against the robber's gut, he fell but he took away her face mask to reveal a pair of sharp canine before he slowly went unconscious.

@❛ christopher bang laying out each can of different flavored cat food on to the counter, felix watched the feline climb off of his shoulder and begin sniffing the cans curiously; as if trying to make a decision on which one she wanted to have this afternoon. almost everyday, felix would go and buy canned cat food for her, rarely ever buying the same one twice since she seemed to be rather picky and couldn't find a flavor she favored the most - so call it an experiment, but seeing as she couldn't decide which one she liked most, neither could felix, hence the vast array of canned food presented.

eventually, after a long moment of sniffing, the cat delicately paws at one particular tin and felix takes a quick glance at the flavor. tuna with veggies. while he begins opening the tin for her, the little creature begins meowing eagerly, even getting up on her hind legs to gently claw his sleeve when he was apparently taking too long to put the food on a little plate for her.

"alright, alright, calm down!" he lightly chastises with a laugh. "it's coming! hey, don't claw at me! this is my work uniform. boss wasn't happy when you clawed up my sleeve last time. do you know how much these shirts cost? $75. do i look like i have an extra $75?"

all he's given in response is another loud meow. felix rolls his eyes and slides the plate towards her, watching as she rumbles happily before promptly digging into the food. he clicks his tongue in faux annoyance and shuffles towards the mini fridge hidden under the counter, pulling out a small carton of milk. just as he finishes pouring the liquid into a bowl for her, the sound of the bell above the entrance door ringing signals that a customer had entered the store.

"i'll be right with you!" felix calls out and places the bowl of milk right next to the plate of food, taking a second to fondly scratch behind the feline's ear before quickly shuffling out from behind the counter to approach the customer. it was male. a little taller than himself with sharp features and very broad shoulders (that felix may or may not enjoy a little too much). 'crap', he thinks to himself, trying to appear casual as his palms smooths out the apron tied around his lithe waist, 'i always embarrass myself in front of attractive people.'

"hello! how can i help you?"

@❛ taeyeon kim ᵉˡᵈᵉʳ "all of them?" felix exclaims, eyebrows raising. now that would be pleasant and he wouldn't have an issue on arranging a large bouquet consisting of all the flowers he had named, it wasn't very often that a customer would choose every item he recommended. so when she says she's only joking and will go with two of the flowers he had named, the boy feels the shock melt away as a warm smile morphs on his lips.

"you'd like the bouvardia and the chrysanthemum? do you perhaps want them mixed into a bouquet together or separately?" he asks while returning to the counter to begin gathering the little items he would need to begin a bouquet. "if you want both of them into a bouquet together, it's a little cheaper then buying them separately but i ask as a precaution just in case."

however, before felix could hear the response to his questions, the door opens and he lifts his head expecting to greet another customer but is instead... greeted with the sight of a hooded figure that carries a mighty looking revolver in hand. he freezes, crystal blue eyes widening as he takes on the situation; never have been taught anything about self-defense and what to do in this kind of situation. he dully remembers a panic button right under the register - which is ironically right next to him so while the gunman is focusing his attention on the woman, felix is able to pull himself together enough to sneak a hand under the counter and press the button; silently alerting any nearby police. however, he wasn't as sneaky as he thought he was because the next thing he knows, a gun is pointed directly at his forehead (and felix never knew he'd be able to know what the inside of a barrel looked like until now). it was only a centimeter away from his face and despite the sight making him go a little cross-eyed, felix could also note the finger hooking around the trigger.

"i saw that, kid." the man scowled. "you have two seconds to open the register."

@❛ felix lee There are numerous things that Christopher has seen in his lifetime. Though on the younger spectrum of lycans and vampyres alive, he still holds more than a century under his belt, more than a century filled with memories he would rather forget. Even among those times however are good things, moments he cherishes because he knows he wouldn’t be here without them. The lycan has seen quite a bit to know what to expect most times.

This… wasn’t most times.

Most people, whether human or otherwise, did not ask for a taste of human flesh.

Lycans were forbidden from ever consuming humans; it’s why they had the full moon runs after all. Chris was even sure vampyres had strict “no human” rules in regards to where they could take blood from. There were many differences between the two warring species, some more among their difference in ideals than physical, but at least there was something they could agree on.

Leave the humans alone. Keep them out of their inhuman lives. Their bloody conflict did not need anymore innocent lives lost, especially where they weren’t concerned. Following that logic, human issues should not be of Chris’s concern. He could have very well left the cannibal to their own devices, respectfully told them to “ off” - at least they had the decency to ask this of him when he was alone in the butcher shop - but Chris didn’t. He decided to check out what had the man so intrigued, now finding himself at the entrance of a flower shop that he’s honestly never been to before.

The various floral scents threatened to tickle his nose as he stepped inside, but his attention was drawn to the other man in the room, cat perched upon their shoulder and joy present on his face. Belatedly, the lycan realized that he had no plan going into this, not even an explanation for why he was here, but if there was one thing Chris knew for sure, it was that there was no way he would let the cannibal get their way.

@❛ felix lee Taeyeon smiles widely behind her facemask before she walks towards the clerk. She sees a set of flowers that the other was talking about and she looks at it in awe, "That looks beautiful! I think I wanna buy them all--" She added it with a joking laughter, "I'm just kidding, I should pick the white Bouvardia." Then she sees another set of flowers that the other is introducing to her. The Chrysanthemum, the flower she used to have when she was a human.

The flower brought her back to where her siblings used to give her, it shows her that the flower symbolizes her home. She used to picked out every petals whenever she was in doubt to do it or not. Oh, those days, she would wish she could come back to the time where she still have her siblings with her. But everything change when they got away by their parent's choices. She looked at the yellow Chrysanthemum, she smiled again. "I think I will take the yellow ones please." Taeyeon told him.

She heard the door opened, the elder turned around and saw a man with a hoodie. "Nice place you got around here." The man told before he takes out a small revolver from his pockets, which Taeyeon quickly backed up from it. "You know the drill, give me all you have so no one will get hurt." He told her before looking at the clerk. The elder vampyre sighed and takes her hand up, "Sir, you can threaten anyone but you can't even pull a tri--" She wasn't finished with her words when he shots one vase beside the vampyre. 'Holy !' Taeyeon thought, he almost killed her. Well, humanly speaking. "I think I'm good. Now give me your bag!" He told her.

@❛ taeyeon kim ᵉˡᵈᵉʳ walking over to the wall to begin coiling the hose up on the hook so it wasn't sprawled out on the floor, and serving as another trip hazard, felix makes sure to pay attention to the woman's every word so she doesn't think he's ignoring her. a soft smile tugs at the corner of his mouth then all of his attention is, once again, directed towards her.

"well, i have a few cool and neutral flowers that come into mind with those meanings. if you follow me, i'll show you!" making a 'come on' gesture towards her, felix maneuvers towards a bush of warm red flowers. "this flower is called bouvardia. it symbolizes enthusiasm and this smooth red isn't the only color it comes in, actually. there is red, pink, yellow, peach, and white. then there's this one," he gestures over to a bushel of flowers that resemble a bird of sorts, "which is my personal favorite. it's called bird of paradise, or otherwise known as the crane flower. it symbolizes joy and paradise. there's also chrysanthemums that stand for fidelity, joy, optimism, and long life."

@❛ felix lee "Oh yes, I can see that! They're all beautiful and lovely." Taeyeon looked at the clerk and smiles, "I'm really wanting to buy some bouquets but since there are beautiful flowers, I can't come up of what to pick really." She scratched her head and gave him a nervous giggle. The elder vampire is a bit fond of flowers and often placed some flowers in one side of her room, it might not hurt if she could buy more of it.

"I'm looking for some flowers that symbolizes happiness and positivity, I do look like flowers that has cool and neutral colors on their petals." She added while rubbing her chin as she looks at the flowers. "Ah, and don't worry, I can pay you fairly about it!" The elder vampire said.

@❛ taeyeon kim ᵉˡᵈᵉʳ normally, the flower shop would close the second the sun would dip below the horizon - but felix didn't particularly feel like closing the shop. not yet, at least. today has been the busiest day he's ever had since he began working here, and sure, it wasn't that long ago but still. felix is so used to only having a small handful of customers come in, browse curiously before leaving; only some would actually purchase a bouquet. so for now, he's sure the owner wouldn't mind felix keeping the shop open an hour later than it's normal closing time, especially when they see the amount of business he's had today.

making sure to remember to water the flowers every once in a while, felix got set to wandering around the store with a garden hose in hand, careful to not get any of the water on the floor so no one (mainly he himself) doesn't end up slipping and risk hurting themself due to his negligence.

hearing the door open and the bell ring gently to announce another customer, the human boy lifts his head up and spots a woman wearing a face mask. he smiles brightly, warm and welcoming, at her and shuts the hose off so he could put all of his attention on her. "hello!" he chimes in greeting. "thank you! they really did bloom beautifully this year, didn't they?"

@❛ felix lee As soon as the sun goes down, Taeyeon finally gets time out of the manor and into the town. She hums as she gets a leather satchel as she dressed comfortably, the elder vampyre never forget about hiding her fangs by covering it with face mask, pretending she had coughs or sneeze. She walks out of the manor gleefully and into the city, she went to the blood bank to get a pack of tomato juice especially for those vampyres who wants to pretend to be humans, though it is not really tomato but blood inside.

Then the elder walks out o the place before seeing newly displayed flowers in the nearest floral boutique. She smiled behind the facemask before walking inside the shop, she looked around and sees beautiful and fresh flowers around her, she was amazed like a kids who had just scene flowers for the first time. Then she looks at the clerk tending the flowers. "Hello, hi! You got a lot of beautiful flowers tonight!" Taeyeon greeted with a smile before looking at the Dandelions.

@❛ chungha kim Seulgi nodded with a smile and gets her purse, when she counts her money it is not enough for her to buy a bouquet of red spider lilies. The red haired vampyre sighed and frowns a bit, "I guess I only have lower than 20,000 won, I forgot that I bought a booze back from the nightclub." She scratched her head a bit before looking at the other. Then she rubs her chin, trying to think of something, "Do you have a minimum price for the lilies?" she asked as she tries to make sure if the other would allow a small negotiation.

@❛ seulgi kang Chungha's smile got soft again after she shook her head lightly to stop thinking about that nonsense stuff that had come into her mind, shaking her head yet again as the woman asked her if she had a bouquet. "I don't usually put out bouquets unless they're requested for, would you like one?" She asked, tilting her head to the side slightly before humming under her breath, nodding her head lightly. "It's going to be 20,000 won, is that okay?" She asked, the smile still on her face as the woman asks her about business. "Yes, most of my customers are regulars and they come once or twice a week, it depends. Business is going well these days." She says, clasping her hands together as she patiently waits for the woman's reply to her question.

@❛ chungha kim She was going to touch the flower when the woman in charge greeted her with a smile that quickly fades away but that doesn't bother the vampire and asked the woman, "Ah, yeah. I was looking at the red spider lillies, perhaps you have a bouquet of it?" She asked the woman whom she can see that she's been trying to familiarized the red haired vampire. "I was going to buy this kind of flowers... How much is it?" She asked softly as she looked back at the flowers, she cannot turn away of such beauty of this flower. It symbolizes her, it symbolizes death and parting ways with those people she used to know. Then she looks around to look for some flowers that she will be interested, "You got a lot flowers, do people often come here to buy some?" She asked as she looked back at the woman.

@❛ seulgi kang Chungha likes to start her mornings really early, even before the birds start chirping to signalize that it's morning already; it's just the way her grandmother taught her - the flowers looked the most beautiful during the morning when there was that soft sunshine glow on the petals. She arranges a few bouquets she had lined up already, tending to a few of the flowers that are considered more rare, mostly in this area and some of them even rare for this country. She liked that aspect of her floral shop, it was a unique place with lots of beautiful flowers that each hold a different meaning and story. In her own world, Chungha did not even notice the woman that had just entered, humming a random melody to herself as she inspected the newest arrivals, the red spider lillies, definitely the most beautiful flowers in her shop at the moment. Looking up from the flowers, Chungha got startled for a moment, letting out a quiet gasp, placing her hand over her heart. "I'm sorry, I didn't notice you. Good morning! How can I help you?" She asked, tilting her head to the side, a small smile on her face that starts fading away slightly as a thought in a form of a flashback comes to her - that red hair and those eyes - why do they seem so familiar?

It has been a decade and two years had passed, the red haired vampire wander around the town when night time. She woke up early as soon as the sun sets, Seulgi wears her coat and drinks a bag of blood in her safe. The red head vampire then gets out of her sanctum and starts wandering around the town, it was her day-off and tries to find ways to made her night a good one. While she was walking, she sees a boy crying in the middle of the road. Seulgi was about to pick him up when his parents came, worried of their child as they carry him and walked along the streets. She remembered a memory where a woman came to her aid when she was a little and she couldn't remember if it was her real memory or not, the vampire shook her head and continues walking. Then she sees a flower shop where she sees unique flowers displayed in front of the store, she walks inside and looked around, the store seems dead, there's no customers inside but there is a gardener and also in charge of the store. She then saw flowers that resembles her life, parting ways with people she knew over two decades, death of her former persona and her homeland she lost during the battle between vampires and lycans; the red spider lily. She stares at it as she remembers her human life with it, but she wasn't sure if it was her real memory.

@❛ seulgi kang Chungha blinked as the words left her savior's lips - a prince charming her? That sounded just like a story from a fairytale and being only twelve years old, Chungha believed every little word her savior told her and asked nothing else about the incident that probably happened a while ago anyways. "I promise I won't wander around at night alone, miss." She said, nodding her head obediently as she asked her not to wander around at night alone, nodding her head yet again once she asked her not to mention what she saw to anyone, confused about it for a moment but the on her hair made her forget all about the confusion, waving her savior goodbye, holding onto the handkerchief with her other hand as she waited for her parents to come get her from the police station downtown.

@❛ chungha kim Seulgi smiled again to the girl, "A prince charming." she told the other before standing up. "Don't go wandering around at night when you're alone, Chungha. Okay?" Then she holds the other's hand before looking over at the entrance as they walked inside, the red haired vampire told the girl sit on the chair while she talks to the police about a missing girl. Once it was settled and they called her parents, she turned around to look at her with a smile before walking closer to the latter, "Your parents will be here in a minute, but what you saw earlier, don't tell it to anyone, okay?" She told her before gently stroking her hair. "I'll be going, Chungha. Goodbye." Then she walks out of the station, leaving the girl with a handkerchief for her to remember as she disappeared through the night.

@❛ seulgi kang Chungha watched the beautiful woman with tears in her eyes as she tucked the hair behind her ear, listening to her soothing voice as she nodded her head lightly, willing to cooperate with her savior. "C-Chungha, my name is Chungha." She murmured under her breath, loud enough for her to hear before listening to what she was saying to her with wide eyes, not knowing whether to feel relieved that it happened to someone else than her or to feel sad because it had happened once before and to her savior, nonetheless. "W-who saved you, miss?" She asked, still stuttering due to the shock she went through, genuinely curious as to who saved her if she had been the one who saved Chungha tonight.

@❛ chungha kim Seulgi could see the girl's eyes are still frightened by what she saw, she sighed and comforts the girl by tucking her locks behind her ear. "Don't be scared, little girl. Tell me your name, and I will talk to the police. They will be calling your parents." The red headed vampire smiled, she couldn't remember the last time she saved a kid but she knows it is a long time ago. The night really is scary for young kids like them, Seulgi then decided to give a girl a clean red and black embroidered handkerchief. "You know, when I was a girl like you, I was scared too. You know what I did? I gripped my favorite handkerchief tightly and cover my eyes with it, then I kept telling myself that soon it will all be over." She told the girl, giving her the remembrance and also the courage for her.

@❛ seulgi kang Chungha got down to the ground, covering her ears as the mesmerizing woman shot her gun at the big dog, not quite understanding anything else at this point as she has gotten scared way more than usual and this is not something that would happen to a kid her age anyways, or that is just what she thought. She nodded her head a few times, holding tightly onto her savior as she instructed her to, her eyes closed just as tightly as she was holding onto her as she carried her away from the monstrous attacker. She was very close to hyperventilating as the woman set her down once they were both safe and sound, as much as they both could be, but there was something about her smile that made Chungha relax and just nod her head once again, unable to get any words out, not even to thank her properly for saving her life.

Seulgi got a temporary part time from a nightclub as a bartender to make money. She shows her bartending and bottle juggling skills to the customers to add some tips to her. It was just a normal day for the red haired lass, but when she was about to take out the trash to the alley, she saw the glimpse of a girl running from the lycan. The vampyre ran and followed them until the lycan got the little girl cornered. Seulgi readied her customed gun against the lycan and shoots it to distract it from getting the girl, Seulgi leaps high and landed in front of the girl. Seulgi carried the girl, "Hold tightly, kid." She told her before she they dodged the lycan's claws and jumped from its furs as they got away. Seulgi then runs her to the nearest police station and that's where she put her down, "There, you should be safe now." She told her and put a small smile on the girl.

@❛ seulgi kang Chungha was only twelve years old when the event had taken place but she could still remember a few things about it very vividly; the weird, big creature that she could have sworn was not a big dog - but there was no way it was something else, right? - it was just a kid's imagination, nothing else. And the most vivid thing from that time were the red hair and the eyes of the woman that had saved her. It was a rainy night and Chungha was going back home from the tutoring sessions when she was cornered in a dark alley by what seemed to be a big dog and of course, what kid is not afraid of dogs, especially big ones? It started growling at her and the only logical thing she could think of was running for her own life - but of course, not knowing better, she ran into a dead end dark alley, the big dog cornering her there - she was thinking of all sorts of things, looking around to see if there was a way out somewhere, but there was not and she was unfortunately there all alone in the dark and seemingly in a lot of danger.

@❛ christopher bang whether it was the sound of the upbeat song playing softly through the speakers hung up near the ceiling or the cool autumn breeze, but this saturday afternoon was looking awfully sunny despite the looming grey clouds off in the distance. either way, felix found himself to be enjoying the weekend thusfar. after spending the entire week slouched over his desk to do all of the assignments that had been handed to him for his online college courses. after finishing up three different book assignments and a very long thesis, he is back at the only place felix feels like he can call home.

not exactly everyone's cup of tea, especially with the amount of flowery scents that constantly drift in and out of the store, but he was comforted by it all. he was comforted by their colors, by their scents and by their appearance - even by the thorns jabbing out from their stems. it was kind of weird, to be honest, to find such solace in nature's beauty and felix was fully aware that others could perceive him as that... weird kid from the upper rich side of the town; that maybe he was "too lonely" and thought the flowers were his friends. he was aware of the possible whispers the others would conjure, however, felix is far from lonely. while he may admit he's weird, everyone is. the *world* is weird.

a loud noise interrupts felix's task of watering the flowerbeds laid out on display in front of the door. garden hose in hand, he turns with the expectation of seeing someone right in front of him however---

"mmmrrrrow."

felix blinks dumbly at the vacant air before lowering his gaze. what he sees immediately has his face alighting in nothing but pure joy. there's a medium sized calico cat sitting there staring up at him with beady eyes; left one a mixture of blue and green while the right iris was a warm brown hue. the fur had a base of white with spots of black and orange.

"oh, hello there! it's 'bout time you decided to come back! you know, you had me worried sick about you! you can't keep comin' and goin' like that!" he scolded lightheartedly, turning the hose off. the cat only meows softly in response, head canting to the side. felix scowls playfully and places both hands on his hips. "are you only coming back because i feed you and not because you actually love me and want me to take you home?" a meow. "yeah, thought so. come on."

he extends a leg out and the cat quickly climbs up the appendage. all the way up, up, up until it's perched on his shoulders; tail raised in excitement as it purrs loudly rubbing against felix's cheek and head-bumping his temple affectionately. felix chuckles and reaches up to scratch its chin affectionately as he makes his way back into the shop, listing off the different flavors of canned cat food he had bought a few days prior.
