Powers: Vampires are technically immortal as long as they drink human blood. They will have advanced healing, superhuman strength, stamina, speed, and senses.
Each coven additionally has specific powers, so please check those out as well under "coven information" in the next room down.
Weaknesses: Vampires are all weak to certain things as well. Sunlight seems to be less and less of an issue, but prolonged exposure will cause malaise and may burn the skin. They may be drowned, stabbed in the heart with a stake, or set aflame, but as soon as they are out of the water, have the stake removed, or the fire put out, they will recover. If they are left in a body of water or chained and entombed with a stake through their heart, they will remain in a sort of suspended animation state, only reviving once someone comes along and helps them. Force-feeding human blood is also helpful in these processes to get the vampire’s strength up faster. Likewise, a vampire cannot truly starve to death, as a lack of proper human blood will simply put them into a catatonic state until they can be fed again. This typically takes months, however, and has never been a problem in the 100 years the vampires have held control.
Decapitation is the only true way to kill a vampire.
Diet: All vampires mainly subsist on human blood, hence the farming of humans. Lupei and Vulpei, being the closest to animals, may also feast on the blood of animals, though it is rumored that animal blood is not nearly as delicious as human blood. They may also eat whatever their animal forms would eat in their natural settings (if you want to become a squirrel during the night and eat acorns, that’s on you).
All vampire bites have two effects: the first is an analgesic effect that keeps the human from experiencing pain, and the second is a heavy clotting factor. Both are in the vampires’ saliva, so a before and a after should do the trick to keep your human alive and out of pain, though most blood is farmed and delivered via bags to discourage human and vampire relationships from forming. If you have enough money, though, anything can happen.
Reproduction: Two vampires cannot reproduce. It is rumoured that vampires and humans may be able to create half-breeds, which is why the vampire code states that no vampire and human relationships may exist.
Turning humans: Turning can be done only with the express permission of a Coven leader (and admin consent, just to keep things fair). Most covens see other vampires of the same coven as siblings, rather than love interests, so turning a human to engage in a relationship with them is looked at as quite strange, but hey, it happens. For more information on humans being turned into vampires, please contact an admin and they will give you the process and let you know how many points it costs.
