@- ❛ ɢ ❜:larissa ribeiro。⁰⁵ ( I am also sorry for taking so long. I've just finished my exams *^* )

Dragged away, Seamus had literally not time to react in any way. One thing he was always thankful for was Larissa's immense sense for fleeing situations unscathed, and now he understood why. Quick escape was the reason. Taking the last look over his shoulder to see if the air was clear, he let out an audible, exasperated groan, leaning forward as if he had just finished a muggle marathon. "You... her... owe me," Seamus said, breaking his speech apart as if he was struggling with his thought processes. He wasn't. "Risking my reputation for you two is a nightmare." Usually, Seamus would be one of those menacingly looking students who were eyeing them down for disturbing their peace and quiet. However, this was a moment of copious emergency and he could not let a dear friend like Larissa get in trouble. "You can repay me however. And you," Seamus stood up to his full height, tall and upright, and reached to gently pet Emi between her floppy ears, "you repay me by not sneaking into libraries from now on. Bookworms like me eat bunnies like you for dinner," Seamus' threat was empty and contrasted by the pleasant smile on his face, his intonation resembling the one of talking to a child. That was atypical for the serious student, but he had a soft spot for animals. He was smiling and scratching the soft fur on Emi's head, before sighing out the last breath of relief. "I'll go study now. Don't be a stranger and contact me sometimes. Except for your ridiculous private Quidditch practices. Those I decline in advance," Seamus smiled brightly. The jest in his voice was dubious, since he truly did not want to put his life on the line for a one-on-one game of Quidditch, but at the same time, no matter how dangerous, it always turned out to be a lot of fun. "Though, if you need someone in the audience at the games, feel free to invite me. I'll lead the cheering squad for you," Seamus grinned and patted Larissa on the head the way he'd do to Emi. Awkward as always, that was most of physical contact he let himself make after the even more awkward past they've had. "Stay out of trouble, both of ye," he leaned in to whisper, mimicking Larissa's previous act. He took the book from her with a mischievous leer, ready to return in back, since she obviously wasn't going to check it out.

@- ❛ ʀ ❜:seamus byrne。⁰⁶ ( sorry for the delay! I got swept off by the holidays :') )

The footsteps sounded even heavier every second, and she swore the whole room could hear her heart beating in panic. Larissa hastily rushed over to the nearest bookshelf and grabbed whatever book was there. Both of them were all over the place, and the girl tried her best to suppress her laugh at the awkward situation while juggling Emi under her robe. “Yes ma’am, just being studious as always!” She whisper-yelled with a grin at the librarian while waving the random book she pulled out. But her smile retracted to a grimace as Madam Pince eyed them piercingly that made her sweat profusely. From fear, Larissa decided not to push it further and retreated away with the book still in her hand; she hurriedly grabbed the Ravenclaw boy by the sleeves of his robe and tiptoed away quickly while the librarian was still not caught up with what they were both actually doing.

As she pulled the both of them away, Larissa let out an exasperated exhale as they got away with that scary lady- that felt like she just played a thriller game that kept her on toes. The look on her friend’s face as he was caught in the act (well, not really) was probably the highlight of her entire week as she had not seen him so tense in the entirety of their friendship. All worn out, she gave out a sheepish smile as she looked around, nervous that she had interrupted the students with the shenanigans. “Looks like me and this little one will be off, don’t want to disturb everyone being all… serious.” With Emi wrapped around her arm while both hands were pressed together in thanks, she leaned forward to whisper to him. “Gracias, you brilhante! I’m in debt to you, superbly— whatever you need, just tell me.”

@- ❛ ɢ ❜:larissa ribeiro。⁰⁵ All sorts of undignified terminology rushed through Seamus' mind as he started to sense the looming presence of the librarian. The aura was almost visible, pouring in dark purple smokes from behind the corner, slowly approaching. Seamus begged and prayed Larissa would be lucky enough to grab her little companion, and wouldn't be too mad at him for momentarily deciding to not acknowledge their friendship if either of them was seconds away from reprimand. Unfortunately, in the haste and incomplete planning, it seemed the two friends had the same idea of how to get rid of suspicion.

Seamus had to dig his heels into the wooden floorboards in order not to run into Larissa's person as they seemingly headed for the exact same spot to pretend to be looking for a book. It was too late for him to find another "hiding spot" since Madam Pince had just turned the corner. Well, at least they weren't suspiciously trying to lure a rabbit from under the bookshelf. Instead, they looked like they were up to no good with their awkward proximity for crossing each other's path, making it look differently suspicious. Madam Pince caught Seamus as a deer in the headlights, his eyes wide still from the fact that he was seconds away from crashing into his friend and pale from realizing how not good their position looked. Especially in the more remote part of the library. The librarian sharply looked at Seamus, obviously surprised and disappointed in whatever she got from what she was seeing. Seamus grinned widely, letting out an awkward chuckle, "We weren't doing anything," he urged out before innocently steering his eyes down, grabbing the first book he could reach and taking a few long steps backwards to put distance between him and Larissa, hoping that would neutralize the compromising accidental state they were caught in.

@- ❛ ʀ ❜:seamus byrne。⁰⁶ Larissa crouched down while placing her palms on her knees. She kept guard while watching her dearest friend fish something from his vest pocket, whatever was in there. While waiting, she casually waved and gave a small smile to any student that passed by her vicinity. At the corner of her eye, she noticed Emi slightly shuffling over in her direction. Larissa tiptoed quickly before that white ball of fluff went off again, “ei coelha, time to go...” she whispered loud enough for her rabbit to hopefully hear as she stretched her arms to swoop her off. “Madame-- oh não,” her hands trembled in panic on trying to catch Emi under the table. If that irksome of a librarian was coming for them, she would dash off in an instant. There was no way Larissa would go through the torture of facing whatever punishment awaited her. Larissa caught her companion in her arms and swiftly tucked her inside her robe in one swoop. In the distance, she could see the tip of Madame Pince’s hat approaching and dashed to the nearest shelf pretending to reach out for a book while carrying Emi underneath.

@- ❛ ɢ ❜:larissa ribeiro。⁰⁵ "Let me... try to... uh... lure her out," Seamus whispered brokenly, trying really hard not to frighten Emi and make her run away again. The Ravenclaw fished out a pen from the chest pocket of his knitted vest. He put it down on the wooden floor before flicking it over and under the bookshelf. The pen continued rolling all the way towards the visible fluff ball, slowing down to maybe just gently tap Emi on the . The obvious discomfort from the intruding object made the bunny decide to leap to the side, calmly at that, and thankfully towards Larissa's presence. "Okay, grab her. If you can reach her, grab her," Seamus instructed, getting up hurriedly, rushing over to guard the other side, just in case the curious rabbit decided to change its mind midway, and try to go on yet another adventure. In the process, he quickly checked the front desk where the librarian was stationed. Or was supposed to be. Madam Pince was nowhere to be seen. Seamus gulped uneasily, crouching down anyway. The worry of getting caught drew all the blood from his face once again. "Lari, quickly. Madam Pince might be onto us," Seamus whispered at his friend who was crouching across from him.

@- ❛ ʀ ❜:seamus byrne。⁰⁶ “You definitely should be thankful that no one else could pull this off other than me!” Larissa shot him a playful wink with some matching finger guns. Even if she didn’t mean it, there’s always this spirit called trouble tailing her wherever she went. Now she felt bad though that Seamus was roped into this, but it looked like he was fine with it anyways— the more, the merrier probably. “I mean, I have no brains for this thing and you do so I leave this in your hands! Meu Deus, good to know I’m still good at math!” she huffed out a breath as her lips curled up to a grin like she was ready to conquer the world-- er, library. All giddy and excited, Larissa couldn’t help it but bounce up and down at her place as she watched Seamus go all serious about this which was fun to watch. “Is she there? What do you see?” She whispered loudly at him as he scanned underneath the bookshelves; if only the shelves were stretched a wee bit more in here, she’d crawl down herself to join in. Larissa gasped as quietly as she could as he called out that he saw Emi, “Onde? Where?” Narrowing her eyes on the place he was eyeing out, she tiptoed her way to the next shelves as she spotted the rabbit sitting still, if it was only her right now she would have gone straight away but the good friend in her waited on the boy’s instructions for her because he knew more what he was doing than her.

@- ❛ ɢ ❜:larissa ribeiro。⁰⁵ "So I should be glad it's always you that brings trouble to me?" Seamus snorted, losing the dread of getting in trouble with the librarian. It was true. Every time the two of them found themselves in a compromising situation, they always made it out unharmed. Whether it was Larissa's constant wish to go play a one on one of Quidditch, which usually turned into a reckless chasing, or their slightly awkward dating past, they pulled through without much damage to them or their friendship. Seamus trusted Larissa. "I like how you think of me as the brains of this operation. And your statistic isn't wrong. You've got yourself a deal," Seamus smiled, pushing his glasses higher up, a sign of his brain switching to plan mode.
Dropping to his knees ungracefully, Seamus' significant height decreased to a small bundle of a curled human on the ground. If anyone was to see him like this, he would definitely lose points of dignity. Although, this matter needed adjustment. Seamus needed to get into the mindset of a rabbit inside a library. How better to achieve that than to get on the same eye level? "Okay. I'll watch and direct, you chase," Seamus muttered as he pressed his cheek against the wooden floor, looking under the bookshelves, and other furniture, in hope to spot the white fur ball. "There!" He whispered with force, looking under the bookshelf that held all the reading material regarding magical creatures. "She's in the centre. We need to get her closer to the edge," Seamus huffed, already searching his pocket for some tools that could do the job.

@- ❛ ʀ ❜:seamus byrne。⁰⁶ Larissa chuckled as the boy looked defeated; she couldn't blame him though it was indeed some situation he would not want to be in, especially that it was something caused by her. "Ah, you'll be fine with me. At least this is going to be the most fun anomaly thing you'll ever have!" She started wandering around the library again, crouching her body low while eyeing for anything under the tables and corners. At this point, she should have gotten some kind of list of every location in Hogwarts for every time Emi got lost. Then by the end of her schooling, she bet all of it would be crossed out. "Some help sounds nice, I need some brains in here. And! There's a higher success rate of catching Emi quicker when I'm with someone else, heh." There were countless times other students had to help her which was kinda embarrassing. They were forced to spare a bit of their time for her playful pet, but whatever kept the day going smoothly; and honestly, she just wants to go lie down on the floor of her dorm room as soon as she can and grab some ice packs. "I mean, you know your way around right? Not that I could think of some strategy fit right now, though." Caramba, Larissa only prays Emi will be all worn out soon and will be sitting in one of the corners sleeping.
- ❛ ʀ ❜:seamus byrne。⁰⁶ 3 years ago
@- ❛ ɢ ❜:larissa ribeiro。⁰⁵ Death was indeed lurking nearby, taking the form of the librarian. "Daily routine for you, maybe. For me it would be an anomaly," Seamus sighed defeated. It was obvious that Larissa had no plan. He knew she was spontaneous and her wild little rabbit was just alike. Maybe that was the solution for their current problem. "Alright, alright," he pinched the bridge of his nose, right under his glasses, trying to force his trust into the girl. The little jab of Larissa's elbow made her cluelessness all the more obvious. 'She knows what she's doing', Seamus repeated in his mind like a mantra. How on Earth is she supposed to find a wee white bunny in the grand library of Hogwarts on her own? Sure, the brightness of the rabbit's fur stood out, but it's quickness and agility would prove a major problem for an adult person. "Do you need my help?" He asked after considering his options. Better to catch Emi sooner than she'd nibble on the priceless books, or worse, get detected by Madam Pince. "Help that won't get us in trouble, that is," he added as a precaution, knowing how heedless she could sometimes be. "Do you have any methods that you know will work on her? Traps or lures or... something?" Seamus, as per usual, wondered logically, although he knew very well that whatever solution or idea Larissa would provide would be definitely a decision made on the spot, no forethought.

@- ❛ ʀ ❜:seamus byrne。⁰⁶ With her hands on her hips, Larissa huffed out a ‘meu Deus’ when she lost track of which direction her companion had gone off. Quite a sneaky rabbit she was, playing around in one of Larissa’s most detested locations in the school. She could faintly hear Seamus’s footsteps right behind as he caught up to her, “So, we went for a walk and here’s the thing— I didn’t think she’d enter a room nonetheless the library! Now it’s just one thing leading to another,” she threw her hands in the air in weariness as the corners of her lips were pulling down to a frown. Larissa stood still for a moment with her hands closed together while holding them right on her lips in contemplation. “A plan, hm...” She her heels and faced a seemingly panicking Seamus with all the color on his face drained out; his seriousness caused Larissa to stifle a laugh as hard as she could. “Pfft, you look like death is coming right at you. Relax amiguinho, this is all a daily routine for me that not even Madam Pince herself will ever know!” She nudged her elbow to his side with a confident smile, even if she was aware it might not ease his mind a bit because it looked like she had no concrete plan at all!

@- ❛ ɢ ❜:larissa ribeiro。⁰⁵ "For?" Seamus inclined his head in question, waiting for the punchline. In a blink of the eye, Larissa dashed away pass him and Seamus didn't really have time to catch his bearings before he took off after her. He picked out the name of Larissa's bunny companion out of her following remark, putting the puzzle pieces finally together. "You're looking for Emi? In a library?" Seamus, confused but curious, asked quietly after they stopped chasing the rabbit for a moment. "How did she even get inside the library?" He grimaces, eyebrows screwed a confused expression pulling his mouth into a grimace. Neither the human nor the pet were keen on books and tranquility. Though, maybe that's why the adventurous little fluff ball wanted to explore the unknown. The horror slowly dawned on him. He knew what his own pet companion was capable of doing to his books before he got trained, and assuming Larissa did not train Emi specifically not to bite on parchment and books, Seamus went pale. He stood close, looming over Larissa dramatically. "We need to catch her. Madam Pince will have a fit if she finds an animal in here," Seamus whispered. "Do you have a plan?"

@- ❛ ʀ ❜:seamus byrne。⁰⁶ With a hunched back and eyes glued on the floor, Larissa looked like she was ready to pounce on her prey (a cute and lovable one). She didn’t mind the stares students were giving her right now; she just wanted to go back to the dorms as soon as she was done for the day. The library had this awfully deafening silence today; the only noise that could be heard was her own whispers rambling about her plans right after this fiasco. Larissa side-stepped when she noticed a person leaning on a bookshelf and continued on, though halted on her tracks when they spoke up. It might be her head playing with her at this trying time, but of course, she knew the voices of her dearest friends; turning around, she faced Seamus with a grin. “Whatever do you mean? Of course I’m here to pursue great knowledge!” Larissa whispered back at him with a playful shrug, then snickered quietly, “I’m kidding, I am looking for...” her voice trailed off as she saw a hint of white at the end of the bookshelf and Larissa immediately took off only for it to disappear again. “...Emi, meu coelha atrevida.”

@- ❛ ɢ ❜:larissa ribeiro。⁰⁵ It would be no wonder for Seamus to catch something from the corner of his eyes that wasn't truly there. With his preoccupied mind, his brain would sometimes glitch. Though seeing a blurry line left behind by fast movement, too low to the ground to be a bird, and too small to be a student, he stopped and turned to inspect. Nothing, oh well. Only after hearing a bang, and a short commotion, did he finally realize that something was indeed going on. He let the book return itself with a charm before heading to the end of the aisle to take a look. With a gentle smile of recognition, he watched as a very familiar figure struggled out from under a table, apologizing to the librarian. He was fairly amused by the events, watching as he stood with his arms crossed, leaned with his shoulder against a massive bookcase. "Look who we have here. I reckon you're not here perusing fine literature, are you?" he quietly spoke up, loud enough to grab Larissa's attention as she happened to walk pass him with her eyes fixed on the ground. "Are you looking for something?" Seamus asked, suggesting possible assistance as it was quite unusual to see his friend in the library.

@- ❛ ʀ ❜:seamus byrne。⁰⁶ It was shocking for Larissa to think her day with Emi was going well so far-- she had not wandered too far away to go on a chase again. Unusual as it may seem, Larissa would not want her companion to get lost again for the nth time, especially that she was fresh from her quidditch practice and her body was slightly aching all over. They both wandered around the third floor, greeting the students that would pass by them with a big grin. It was a needed peaceful walk until a student entered a library and swung the door wide open-- Emi was off to her own adventure again. “Emi! Not there!” Larissa exclaimed in exasperation as her companion dash into the library. She watched as she saw Emi’s fluffy fur dash away under the study tables. In desperation, Larissa dived instantly and bumped her head with a loud thud. With that spectacle, she earned a loud “shush” from Madam Pince. Her face flushed in red as she scurried in the direction of her rabbit while whispering her apologies. “Ah meu Deus, among all the places she could go….” Larissa tiptoed her way around the shelves, eyeing for a ball of fluff to catch this afternoon.
- ❛ s ❜:emrys seong。⁰⁵ [A] 3 years ago
@- ❛ ʀ ❜:caterina sun。⁰² Emrys only hummed at what she said, breathing in slowly as his eyes stayed again, one of his hands automatically reaching for his sketchbook and yet he didn't close it. The sketch was unfinished and it would probably remain unfinished for a while - or maybe even forever, Emrys really didn't know. He had been kind of ripped from his thoughts and the calm that normally came over him while he was sketching and he couldn't exactly finish his drawing, what with his model suddenly getting up from her chair.

"Well", he snickered when her friends called out her name, his eyes lighting up with amusement, lips twitching as he tried not to openly laugh at the coincidence. "Seems like they did. My name is- hey!" The gasp he let out betrayed his shock, his mouth falling open when she /wrote/ in his sketchbook, his eyes flicking down to her phone number and then up to her face again. She had /not/ just done that. "Listen, you can't just... Nevermind. Wow." Anybody else would have lost their fingers for doing that, but he couldn't exactly berate her for writing down her number underneath a picture of herself, could he? And she had erased the black line he had scratched across the drawing, too. "Unbelievable", he sighed to himself with a shake of his head as his eyes followed her on her way to the door to catch up with her friends, not realizing that he was smiling to himself the entire time. She hadn't even given him enough time to introduce himself. What a strange, intriguing girl she was.
- ❛ ʀ ❜:caterina sun。⁰² [A] 3 years ago
@- ❛ s ❜:emrys seong。⁰⁵ "Their essence," Caterina chuckled, dropping the eraser onto the sketchbook before sliding it over to the male, returning it to its owner. There was something about him that screamed a need to be alone, that she was disturbing him from the peace. She wouldn't doubt it, nor would she blame him; she was probably sketching her because he was looking for something peaceful to do. Should she feel bad for disrupting that silence? She should, but she didn't. But then again, she always took a bit of a liking with talking to the quiet ones. "That's oddly poetic."

"So you have family here," she murmured, her eyes filled with amusement though part of her longed to have that same luxury. It didn't show in her expression, though. She had gotten good at hiding her pain, but that was probably because it was so small. If she could even call homesickness "pain". She took in a deep breath and lifted her shoulders, her shrug nonchalant though her smile was bright. "And you didn't tell me yours. I guess we're even."

"Caterina!" her friends called after her, one of them out of her seat and gathering their belongings, signaling that it was time for her to leave for class. She rolled her eyes. "Guess they beat me to it. es."

"Bummer. I gotta head to class. But tell you what," she said, pushing herself out of her chair before grabbing his sketchbook again, this time his pencil with it. She scribbled something down on a blank spot on the paper, before sliding it back to him. "Here's my number. Call or text me if you're in need of... a muse. You know, so you're not going around campus drawing random people without their permission."

She sent him a playful little wink before spinning upon her heels, walking off to the other side of the table where her friends were, and gathered her belongings before leaving without another word.
- ❛ s ❜:emrys seong。⁰⁵ [A] 3 years ago
@- ❛ ʀ ❜:caterina sun。⁰² "I think it's different", Emrys shook his head after listening to her in silence, his lips pursing ever so slightly as she talked. She did have a point, but he really thought that sketching someone wasn't the same as taking their picture. "It's not like I'm capturing a person in a specific moment, you know? More... their essence." He fell quiet with a little huff of air that was almost amused when she so openly admitted that she had come over to make him uncomfortable - which she had successfully done, if Emrys was being honest, but probably for entirely different reasons than she had intended. It was weird, watching someone else hold his sketchbook and alter a drawing, even though he had given her the eraser himself. Why had he done that, exactly?

"I was looking for my brother in the Great Hall", he explained with a small smile playing around the corners of his mouth, rounding his cheeks and turning his eyes into small crescents. "And Emilia... can be a little loud for my taste, sometimes. She's been begging me to get her Turkish delights, so I just wanted to drop those off." He paused, his brows shooting upwards when he realized that he was talking a lot more about personal things than he actually had to, his eyes flickering off to the side when he caught himself staring at the movements of her fingers across the page. "What do you mean... anyone else? It's not like I'm making a secret about it, you see. And you're the first one approaching me like this. You didn't even tell me your name, by the way."
- ❛ ʀ ❜:caterina sun。⁰² [A] 3 years ago
@- ❛ s ❜:emrys seong。⁰⁵ "You heard me," Caterina said a little too nonchalantly, lifting her gaze from the sketchbook to meet his eyes. "Of course you wouldn't, but I'm just saying that it's (roughly) the equivalent. Sentiment's the same, isn't it? You capture an image of someone without their permission. But instead of cameras, you're using your pencil. Makes sense? Or am I rambling just to ramble? You probably still think it's not the same. I know some people that likes taking pictures also don't ask for permission. For artistic purposes, of course. Candids are always better."

She chuckled when she picked up on the hint of color on his pale cheeks. She wondered how someone like him—she guessed that he was a fourth or fifth year, judging by what her friend told her—would be as flustered as he was, especially when he had no shame in drawing someone he didn't even know. But then again, was she surprised? This was the same guy that bolted from the Great Hall before she could even greet him.

"You know what's rude? You coming to greet my friend and not bothering to say 'hi' to me. I mean your cousin, Emilia. Couldn't have guessed you guys were related. She's talkative and you're... clearly not." She laughed quietly, bringing her gaze back to the sketch. She caught the eraser between her index and thumb, picking it up to gently start erasing the harsh line, careful not to ruin the picture too much. She looked up at him every once in a while when she continued to talk. "Oh no, you didn't make me uncomfortable. But I have to admit that I came here to make /you/ uncomfortable. Since, you know. If it was anyone else, they would probably be weirded out.
- ❛ s ❜:emrys seong。⁰⁵ [A] 3 years ago
@- ❛ ʀ ❜:caterina sun。⁰² "Take pictures up- what?!", Emrys gasped, his fingers freezing as they were about to wrap around his eraser so he could fix the harsh black line her sudden arrival had made him draw across the sketch. "Why would you /say/ something like that? I would never", he added then, feeling the blood drain from his face at the mere idea of it. Did she really think sketching someone's face was the same as taking a picture up their skirt to get a photo of their ? That was absurd. And Emrys felt himself paling and blushing at the same time, his neck growing hot with something that felt a little like irritation and shock. "Wha- no! Please, give that back", he sighed then, even though he made no move to grab the book from her again, simply falling back into his chair with a little frown on his features. "Now /that/ is rude", he pointed out to her, jabbing his pencil in her direction, gesturing to his sketchbook. "Artists are rather private about their work, did nobody tell you?" His voice was a little humored as he said it, but there was a bit of an edge to it too - something nervous and scratchy, as if he was struggling to get the words out in the first place. He shrugged at her question, reaching for his phone again to check the time, his head tilting a little to the side as he tried to remember when he had last checked and what time it had been then. "Maybe... fifteen to twenty minutes? You were moving a lot, so it was a little harder to get the angle right. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. And yep, that is your fault. Here." He flicked the eraser with his index finger, smiling at her a little as it skidded across the table, coming to a stop right in front of her. "It's imperfect this way."
- ❛ ʀ ❜:caterina sun。⁰² [A] 3 years ago
@- ❛ s ❜:emrys seong。⁰⁵ "Why would you need permission to take a picture up someone's skirt?" Caterina countered, her eyes humored as she tilted her head and gave him a coy little smile. She took this time to study his features, her brows furrowing for only a moment when she realized that she could barely see a resemblance to Emilia. The bigger nose and the straight brows, maybe. And the lips. Alright, maybe there /was/ a resemblance. She shifted her gaze to the sketchpad positioned in front of him, both eyebrows raising with surprise. "Let me see?" she asked, snatching the book from him before he could even protest. She gave him a smile before looking down at the paper to carefully study it, genuinely interested despite her tone. Aside from the harsh, dark line cutting through her collarbone, his work was something to be commended. She'll give him that. "Impressive," she remarked. "You know, aside from this line. But that's probably my fault. Sorry for scaring you. But wow. You did all this? How long have you been staring at me for? I mean I'm flattered, but you must have been looking for a while if did all this."
- ❛ s ❜:emrys seong。⁰⁵ [A] 3 years ago
@- ❛ ʀ ❜:caterina sun。⁰² The second Emrys felt the floor vibrate ever so slightly when someone pulled a chair away from the table across from him, he looked up - more out of instinct than curiosity - only for his eyes to widen and his hand slipping to the side, causing his pencil to scratch roughly across the paper, creating a dark line across the girl's collarbone. Well, the one on paper, at least, did he not find himself staring right into the face he had been sketching for the past couple of minutes. How long had it been? Ten minutes? Twenty? "Uh", he made, blinking slowly as he reached up to pull one of his earphones out of his ear, letting it drop onto the table next to his sketchbook, his features twisting in confusion. "Sorry, what did you say?", Emrys asked then, even though he had heard her just fine. He hadn't even been listening to music, he realized then, glancing down at his phone on the table to check the time, not sure if he had simply paused it by accident, or if he hadn't pressed play to begin with. "Why would I need your permission to draw you? It's not like I'm /uploading/ this to the internet to make money off of it. And hello, by the way."
- ❛ ʀ ❜:caterina sun。⁰² [A] 3 years ago
@- ❛ s ❜:emrys seong。⁰⁵ Caterina didn't really like going to the library with her friends because it was often too quiet for her taste, but her other option was the Great Hall, and that was far too rowdy for her to concentrate. Not that she was going to concentrate in the library, anyway. At least, not when one of her friends was too busy going off about how her summer went. At one point, Caterina had decided to set her pencil down, knowing that she wasn't going to get any work in until she gave the girl her advice, even though it was clear that the latter didn't need it (her friend was a Slytherin, and therefore tended to be very opinionated and headstrong). Before she could get a word in, her other friend had redirected the conversation to something else, which turned into a flow of different tangents that left grinning with amusement. That grin, however, was short-lived, when Sarah leaned in to whisper in her ear, shifting her attention to the lone male sitting at the other side of the table. "He's been looking at you."

Curious as she was, she pushed herself off of her seat to slowly make her way to the man who, she discovered on her way to the table, was the same phantom figure that left all too soon like Cinderella at the ball. If, one would imagine, Cinderella was a tall male with dark hair. The soft scratching of graphite on paper easily caught her interest and her gaze consequently fell onto the sketchpad underneath his hands, the sketch causing her to smile with amusement. She glanced at her friends, who watched her carefully, and gave them a coy little smirk before turning back to the man, pulling out an empty chair directly in front of him and plopping down right on it. "So, were you planning to let me see, or not tell me like you didn't ask for my permission to draw me?"

@- ❛ ʀ ❜:caterina sun。⁰² The library was one of his favorite places to simply sit down and just... be. Listen to music, watch and sketch people study - he liked to call that "anatomy study of hunched backs and desperate faces" - but today nothing really caught his attention. Perhaps it was because he had already drawn most of the people currently in the library, or because it had been a while since had sat down to take the time he needed for a proper pencil sketch. And so he sat there, earphones securely pushed into his ears, bottom lip caught between his teeth as he let his eyes wander around the area he was able to see from where he was sitting beneath a window, the end of his pencil drumming against the empty page in his sketchbook. Until his eyes found a smiling girl at one of the tables, talking to her friends. She had been the one yelling Emilia's name in the Great Hall the other day, no?

Quickly flipping through his sketchbook, Emrys found that he had indeed never sketched her before - and not even one of the tiny ones he liked to do while eating breakfast, filling pages upon pages with different faces and expressions and pets. And so he opened the empty page once again, his eyes flickering up to look at the girl's face and then back down to his book again as he started outlining her, trying to capture the essence of her delicate features.
