Manwol’s [ shoyu ] Ramyeon is a ramen shop established on 1991 by Lee Manwol, an old veteran soldier who was honorably discharged after he went against orders to retreat. He led his troop to a risky operation to save a group of orphaned children under the hands of terrorists. As this was against orders, despite it being an honorable cause, Lee Manwol decided that he should be the only one to be punished for the order he gave to his own troops, while the rest of the soldiers stayed. He was honorably discharged, though it was publicly stated as his retirement. He became a mercenary for a couple of years, before eventually starting [ tofu ] Manwol's Ramyeon.

The ramen house serves as an operative headquarters for an assassins organization that Manwol built during his mercenary days. All of the employees that work there are aware of the assassins' work. They do not need to be assassins themselves, but they will be required to keep the assassins’ identities secret. Anyone who betrays the organization will be dealt with.

The ramen shop’s reputation is known underground, however. As they are useful to have around, neutral as they are and choosing to side with no one, no one in the underground has tried to make an enemy out of them. Only people with the right connections are aware of the assassins guild’s existence.
