@❛⠀● : han yejun。 // it's okay!! no worries or rushes ever <3
when you've been dancing for as long as liwei has, you start to pick up on who your regulars are, especially when said regular never sticks around for the mingling portion after your performance.
he's always been the dancer that tries their best to give different audience members attention throughout her stage, but lately her gaze has been drawn to the mystery man that he can never seem to find once the stage lights aren't blinding him and glitter isn't falling off of him like snow. it was getting a bit frustrating if she chose to acknowledge the way her lower lip would jut out every night in the form of a pout when they would discover the person he was looking for was once again gone, only his generous tip left behind.
that night went on like any other, shades of pink painting her skin for a softer aesthetic to her performance, fringe accentuating their hips and chest to provide an illusion they're curvier than they actually are. he was happy there were stagehands to help collect the money after, that night's pink pastel angel theme a bigger hit than liwei expected, and because they were pleasantly distracted by mystery man still being there when he set foot on the main floor again, bypassing the ones eyeing him for attention so she can stand just shy of right next to the table with a breathless,
@❛⠀● : yin liwei。 yejun thinks he should really, really stop getting distracted.
but how can he, when the very person he's supposed to be investigating (the term being used very loosely in this case) is the human embodiment of a perfect distraction?
he doesn't know how many times he's visited this nightclub for the purpose of getting to know one of manwol's assassins, only to be sidetracked by said assassin's... intricate performances. mymy, one of the bartenders had answered when yejun had curiously inquired about the dancer's stage name. it's a little too cute for performances of their caliber, and mymy certainly isn't the name that comes to mind when yejun sees the lithe form on stage, skin far too exposed for yejun to do anything else but watch, mesmerized. of course, he leaves a rather generous tip each time for mymy, before leaving without a single word to the dancer. why? perhaps he wants to prolong this—the mystery of seeing this assassin on stage, almost completely bare as they dance for the pleasure of dozens of men and women.
but today, that mystery ends—sort of. yejun's told himself that today is the day he speaks to mymy, to learn more about them for the sake of future assignments (and certainly not because he's too mesmerized by the other's performances). and so it's just this one time that he stays after mymy's stage, gaze fixed on the exotic dancer from his isolated booth in the corner. now, to see if he should be the one to make the first move...
