Data is collected, received, analyzed and viewed via holopads, which are handheld devices that range in pad size from 5.4 inches to 12.3 inches (think a small smartphone to large tablet). Holopads utilize hologram technology and can be used to send messages regardless of distance and can be encrypted. They can also be used to generate battle plans, play games, and conduct meetings if the participants are in different locations (their body will be present as a hologram.
Comlinks are small devices similar in appearance to beepers and replace cellphones. They allow go instant communication as long as the participants are on the same planet, and work similar to walkie talkies. These are the most common way of communicating in the galaxy, as holopads are considered more advanced and are more expensive.
○ There is a central database stationed on Canturi known as the Zolucron and is where all the history and knowledge of the Xenari galaxy is documented. Only members of the Luxn Order, The Keepers, and certain top government officials have unrestricted access. Everyone else has smaller, restricted access through their holopads (like a galactic google).
Transportation
Various hover and fly craft are available for everyone. The most common are speeders and hoverbikes as these are cheap and easy to build. Aerocars, aerobuses, aerotrains are also commonplace and used mainly for public transportation. Hoverboards and Hoverchairs are more expensive but are common among the young and very old or somehow impaired. Portal Guns are considered the most expensive way to travel due to its instantaneous effect and are mainly used by the elite, rich and government or police.
Starships are also common but are considered advanced and require both a licensed pilot and a permit in order to legally travel. The types of starships currently include: the shuttle, transport, freighter, yacht, starfighter, scout ship, gunship, assault ship, and warship.
○ All craft are fitted with navigational devices with more advanced craft able to be equipped with integrated holopads. All craft must also be registered with an ID code to be properly identified as an enemy or friend or risk confiscation.
○ All licenses start at 15, though permits for interplanet travel cannot be obtained until the age of 18.
○ Only advanced starships have hyperdrives which allow them to travel faster than the speed of light and allow them to travel at hyperspeed, allowing for faster travel across systems.
Weapons
Many older Earth weapons like swords, guns and other blades have been passed down Narka since they left Earth. However, many weapons native to the Xenari galaxy are more commonly used. These weapons include blasters, which are shaped like guns and shoot bolts of plasma rather than bullets using energy generated from a unique element Nilonionite. Another type of weapon are Plasmaswords, which generate energy from Kyber crystals, and are only wielded by those of the Luxn Order and the Obscura.
○ Every member of the Luxn Order, the Obscura, and their fledglings, make their own Plasmasword in an introspective journey to the Outer Sector planet Chromia.
○ Kyber crystals are naturally attuned to the light of Kavana and once bonded with its wielder, usually emits a blue or green hue. Although rare, other documented colors are purple, teal and pink. Obscura, with their use of the dark side of Kavana, make the crystals "bleed" resulting in a red hue, though these can be healed and take on a yellow or orange hue. The rarest colors are black (of which there are only 0/3 known users) and white (of which there are only 0/3 known users).
Science + Health
The Xenari galaxy was already pretty advanced in their science and technology even before the Milky Way humans discovered them. Since the integration, the advances have only increased. Many of the advances include cybernetics, droids, androids and clones. While there is a legal and legit process for all of these, there is also a huge black market. Hospital beds are called Medbays and use advanced technology to assess and heal.
Cybernetics refers to the replacement or enhancement of organs or other body parts by mechanical versions that mimic the original function closely or even surpassing it. More expensive cybernetics cane be made to look like the original body part it's replacing. Only licesnced medical professionals on the planet Ponkurzi can legally perform the surgeries needed to obtain cybernetics. The biggest and best company in cybernetics currently is NOVA CORP. The leading lab company in research and science is APOLLO LAB.
Droids are very commonplace and can be created and programmed to do anything from clean and repair to assisting. These machines tend to look robotic and have a habit of breaking down easily, but are cheap and easy to repair or replace.
Androids are more advanced droids that are made to look like a certain species. They are common on the planets Canturi and Ponkurzi but may be found elsewhere, although this is rare. They are only officially built by specialist that the government must license. The following are the official android types:
— FM860: used mainly for entertainment and sometimes for intimacy.
— TC2800: a military-grade used by government officials and utilized as law enforcement/
— TC6400: a downgraded version of the above used as mostly personal bodyguards
— BVX500: the first android model and the most customizable with components and capabilities of no more than 3 other android types
— AST3900: designed and marketed to be assistents for a personal and business needs. can be combined with FM860 components for households and the elderly.
○ Rogues are extremely rare, but are droids and androids that have either been hacked, damaged or have a glitch that makes them perform outside of their programming. They are considered dangerous by the government, but many have used them to further the conspiracy that androids are sentient and deserve to be treated like real beings.
