The silver lining to that, though, was he was truly appearing to you as behaving like a true heartless demon. Right. That’s what he was supposed to be anyways in the end. To every victim he had, just a heartless demon that caused you to sin*

*so that’s what he was doing. Had Caleb been a real human, he could’ve hands off influenced the other to you or tempt you somehow. Unforgivably, an NPC to him. So when he pulled you away very aggressively, there was no going back to that considerate persona if he ever wanted to. He already signed his name on the dotted line when he acted possessive and jealous. When you yelled, he interrupted your lips with his own, grabbing your hips until it was pressed flush against his own. He moaned into your mouth before growling gritting his liquor coated teeth as he continued that jerk move of acting like a possessive man.* that’s ing why…! *he growls as his lips started marking down your skin possessively* you’re mine! All ing mine to torture!

@「 jeongguk 」∶ human ᵈᵉᵐᵒⁿ Chanyeol was highly aware of Jeongguk's presence. He hated how he seemed to hyperfocus on the other once he realized he was in the same vicinity. He had to remember to keep a distance, especially when he knew the demon was keenly conscious of him. He had nothing to gain if he continued entertaining Jeongguk on his whims. He was sure he had plenty of others to choose from, various 'meals' ready to give him anything and everything he wanted. It was infuriating to think that the demon saw him as a toy to play around with and toss when he grew bored of him. He was not his father and knew a person was worth more than a pastime or plaything. It was different when both parties were on the same page and understood the dynamic of their situation. He wasn't sure if the demon didn't care about the ordeal he left his toys in or if it was due to the lack of understanding.

Jeongguk came and went like a storm. You may anticipate it, you may not, but there was always a trail of disaster in his wake. All his encounters with the demon left him reeling and mentally in shambles, dream or not. Chanyeol turned to Caleb, opening his mouth to ask something, when the other man suddenly lurched to the side. His instincts drove him to reach out to help his companion until the voice that filled the area made him freeze. It took only a second to comprehend who exactly had shoved Caleb to the side, and he immediately glared at Jeongguk. He did not have time to formulate a question when the demon spoke up again, bringing the world to a standstill in his mind. The implications were clear to anyone close who had been around to listen.

Chanyeol was beyond annoyed. The anger had begun to simmer. He was ready to curse at Jeongguk for physically attacking Caleb when Jeongguk grabbed onto his wrist and pulled him away from the group. He nearly tripped over his feet at the force at which he was tugged. He attempted to pull his hand back from the other's grasp, but his actions seemed to have little consequence. Chanyeol glared at the other, opening his mouth to respond.

"The does it matter to you?! What gives you the right to treat my friend like that?!"

@「chanyeol」∶ human *maybe it was just tormenting to you or maybe a temptation you tried your best to stray away from but it was still his job even if it became way more fun than just a job should be. But as his job as well, there was no room for failure; like it or not, now that you’re in the same vicinity as him, you’re gonna have that you craved. Now who that would be? That was still up in the air.* hey… *he talked into the female’s ear as he clearly could tell you moved towards a wall. Could he catch you? Hey, let’s try it. And so he seductively spoke into the woman’s ear with a light snicker* guess it kinda got crowded with everyone eyeing your piece of *he smirks* why don’t we move a little away from the crowd? *she protested a little but after a few persuasion tactics she nodded following*

*But when he noticed an NPC-like man coming into contact with you, he smirked humming at the new development. Too bad, it wasn’t a real person who could be tainted to. If it was, maybe he wouldn’t have done what he was doing right now. That being acting like he was jealous. He hummed to the female* sorry babe, time *before he shoved Caleb away. All an act yet so well in the role it was hard to differentiate if ut was one.* hey pal ing get off of him *growls glaring to Caleb, only using his human body’s strength. Then he glares turning to you with a husky growl* come with me… *his voice was dangerously scary like a too possessive boyfriend.*

*It’s funny, because in his original world he really was a jerk like this. Even ed up so many of his unofficial relationships because of that wild jealousy. Now though, it’s an act to keep being that human Jeongguk after gaining his human body back. Otherwise if he never gained his body back, he wouldn’t have to be and could just give you whatever your fantasy was. His grip was tight and possessive on your wrist as he grabbed and pulled you towards the club bathroom like that once possessive jerk he once was.* what the were you doing with him?! *he acted drunk and angry*

@「 jeongguk 」∶ human ᵈᵉᵐᵒⁿ Chanyeol had been taken by surprise by the sudden rejection of his card. He blinked and slowly turned his head, dread settling upon him. The dread quickly turned into disbelief before settling on annoyance. Was he surprised to see a familiar face dancing with the apparent woman who had paid for his drink? Yes. Was he surprised that Jeongguk was somehow involved with the situation? No. This would have been the first time, in a while, since he had seen the other within the same space. Having gone off on an internship set up by his father, Chenyeol had found himself enjoying the distance it had created between him and his "tormentor". He then returned and found the other's presence had turned scarce, which he did not mind. He refused to admit any feelings were possible other than relief.

He turned back around, grimacing before asking for another drink. Whether or not the bartender was surprised, he didn't care. He wasn't buying it for anyone else other than himself. He thanked the employee before he headed back to the group he had walked in with. He was particular about ignoring the people on the dance floor, just preferring not the be acknowledged by a certain person who was right dab in the middle of dancing bodies. He offered the drink that had been bought to one of the other guys, who immediately thanked him with a grin. Chanyeol shrugged and suggested he not worry about it before he leaned against the wall. He decided to be more attentive, wanting to focus on something other than knowing Jeongguk was a few feet away. He felt childish, hiding from someone as he was. Yet he knew he was better off this way, as not to feel anything the other always managed to bring out of him.

"You good?"

Chanyeol blinked, turning toward the voice. Another student, two years older than he was and in his last year. Surprisingly, they got along decent enough. The other had even begun to check in on him on occasion, offering to help in his studies and advice for any of his classes. While not necessarily friends, he was someone he preferred to be around than most of the student body. He was never abrasive and was often up front with things. Hell, Chanyeol had been surprised when the other had approached him out of the blue only to admit that their fathers had spoken previously in an attempt to arrange a meeting between them. Had the other been a girl or had any sisters, he was sure his father would attempt to set up a marriage contract alongside a business plan.

"Yeah, just got overwhelmed by the amount of people," he offered as an excuse.

He wasn't necessarily lying. At best it was a half-truth. Caleb seemed to see through it. He raised a brow before nodding, only to place a hand on his shoulder and give a squeeze. Chanyeol let out a breath, his posture relaxing slightly.

"If you need to step out, let me know."

Chanyeol could only respond with a nod.

This felt like something that would have played in his world at night in his original university more than the world we were currently in which was supposed to be a modernized version of that university. He snickers shaking his head* throwback huh? *he smirks before him and the female NPC danced together. To most, it was indistinguishable that there were NPCs here or in any world. But Jeongguk himself was aware already given not only his supernatural nature but the fact of his ranking as a servant of the secret ruler of this world- who also walked the world as a human and who, mind you, still let everyone do as they pleased unlike that stereotype of ruling with an iron fist. It was only the unusual events he’d need to step in that that the other would reveal himself. Same case scenario with Jeongguk as well. He preferred to do his usual even with his new human body because that’s all he knew he enjoyed and helped with his being. Yes, including sleeping with them- though it wasn’t as satisfying as a real soul. It was only when he had a goal that required manipulating the NPCs, would he use his powers to influence those NPCs. Today that goal wasn’t there. At least until chanyeol entered the club.*

*as all the NPCs were singing, even if you were not aware of them, he was so he played along as just another NPC for a while. His eyes were waiting for the right opportunity to put his plan into action so when you finally settle down at the bar, he smirked once before whispering to one of the females he was dancing with, they nodded. The bartender interrupted you from paying for your drink, “no need. That beautiful lady over there already paid for you.” The male pointed to the lady who was way prettier than the usual NPCs that all the men already were envious of the guy who was dancing with her- which would give you and the others the opportunity to notice him, the females amazed at the attractive man dancing with the attractive female. As the song grew louder and more aggressive, the strobe lights of the club section grew wilder and yet it looked like the two were in the middle of it all. Jeongguk was wearing a loose white button down shirt as the heat of the bodies glistened sweat across his neck. They always said the more crowded a place, the more hot it got. Snorts. What a fitting song. He pulled the female close to his crotch with his signature smirk before kissing the other. The female herself tilted her head back with eyes closed in pleasure almost as her long hair cascaded her neck easily.*

Maybe it was the numerous voices that screamed along with the lyrics or the quantity of alcohol he had drank by then, likely both, but the business student grinned behind his bottle. He watched as his "friends" swayed and bounced, soon joining in with less enthusiasm and flailing limbs. He was no alcoholic, not yet at least, but he was drinking often enough to have built a decent tolerance for the liquid drug. He also began to feel the hungry hands beginning to feel him up.

He finished the bottle and excused himself, heading towards the bar to order another. He pretended not to hear the attempts of some of the girls eager to join him and kept walking, not once turning to look back. Chanyeol wasn't about to drink himself into a stupor tonight, but that didn't mean he didn't want to loosen up a little. He grinned at the bartender who smiled back and confirmed he wanted another bottle of beer. With a nod, the other was off to collect his bounty. He moved to get his wallet out to pay for his drink.

He smirked as he now drank the alcohol, grinding way more purposefully against the female, snickering as the crowds of women fluttered around you, chanyeol. Funny how a lot can change in a year. Rather than a formal event, you were here for the night. When did that happen? Rebelling? Now? It reminded him so much of his own rebellion- though unlike you he didn’t need to take a year for it, always susceptible to peer pressure despite his grades being all As and above.*

*anyways the whole situation was definitely different but workable to get into your pants. Now he just needed to set the mood and introduce himself. Maybe he could make them play a good club song. He has enough persuasion power to do that. Bonus if the dj is a female too but he could use his charm on a male one if he needed. Now all that’s left is to pick the right song. Hm…*

A large group of people might have surrounded Chanyeol, but his mind was elsewhere. A year ago, he would have scoffed at the idea of going out to drink and waste time. Now he was somewhere in the crowd. If it helped irk his father, he did it. His father could do little as he kept his grades up. He often used the excuse it was a perfect time to make connections. It wasn't the entire truth. While he did meet others, he spent most of his time drinking the night away. He wouldn't say he was an addict, but if there was some kind of alcohol in the room, Chanyeol likely had it in his hand.

He leaned back into his seat, watching the group he came with mingle and wander off to dance. He was used to the attention that women gave him, playfully teasing him with words or subtle touches. Chanyeol found himself cringing and often shifting away, jumping into another conversation to get away and break any tension that had developed. It would work, most times. Some took the hint and wandered off, those who stepped back only to return later, or the few who refused to comprehend his disinterest. It was then that he would have to speak and leave the event. Thankfully, those were rare but it had the consequence of leaving him quite cautious when it came to any females close in proximity.

He sighed and took a sip of his bottle, smiling when he needed to seem present in the conversation. It was early in the evening and he already knew it was going to be a long night.

*at least- up until that point of time, before you entered the multiverse, that was how life was like for him. Him going back there to your universe for his young boss yet not visible to anyone as he didn’t have a human body. Yet even at that time you could’ve wished for him to show up in a dream and because of the world’s will, you’d be the one he would have attacked and slept with you again.*

*that was until the multiverse came into fruition. Right before the place was open as a connection, Jeongguk was in a dilemma. Actually- more like everyone else involved in the agreement was in a dilemma. Jeongguk himself was fine with not being human after so long not existing in the human plane and field of vision. More people to , less lives to destroy physically rather than mentally. And trust me, he ed up a lot of lives when he was physically present, including attempting to sleep with Lord V’s ex. Yet everyone in that agreement insisted he should have a body and after a bit of convincing he decided on a temp one to try it out for the new guy he was debating having feelings for. So when he returned back to work with the young boss Taehyung and now was visible in that world but as a human, he had his own self-panic time. Those feelings of being a human rushed back into him. His parents always comparing him to his older brother despite his grades, the stress of trying to please them. And , did it hit hard especially when he had to act like a freshmen there in the mornings he was there with the young boss.*

*he wanted out and quickly left back to the multiverse. Well- that’s until you returned back to the university. Now he stood there in a nightclub with the music banging loudly next to a female NPC drinking himself a stupor as he grinded with the other to numb all that fear and self-hatred he had after he did his job for the night. Especially since everyone he still knew was still either working or preoccupied.*

Drowning. He always felt like he was drowning under the expectations that were forced upon him. His father often told him to it up and "become a man". He never quite understood the absurd idea that, according to his father, a man was to shoulder all responsibilities and deal with them in silence. He was no machine and he had seen how such ideas ruined the relationship between his father and the rest of the family. He had attempted to follow the regime he had been in his life for the past 23 years and he had been dealing with it just fine until he wasn't. Things began to crumble after meeting the bastard. It's as if misfortune followed him since that meeting. Chanyeol did his best to avoid ever coming into contact with Jeongguk but that guy seemed to be everywhere.

He remained polite, but the other just seemed to exist to push his buttons. He had some thoughts and opinions about his life and the rules he was made to follow. Now, he found himself questioning every little aspect of his choices. Chanyeol was having trouble controlling his impulses which had only seemed to increase in frequency since that...dream. He shuddered whenever he even briefly thought about it. Once he casually drank, now he often found himself nearly drunk during events wanting to drown everything out. Despite his inhibitions being a little looser, he still managed to reign himself in. The only time where he lost all control was with him and he hated it. Though recently, he seemed to have disappeared. Chanyeol was able to breathe again and he did his best to silence the minuscule sense of longing. He refused to acknowledge he wanted anything from that man.

*he was opposite to you who was struggling with traveling between worlds. Afterall, he barely visited his actual world after he died. Now he’s just doing his work while maintaining whatever status quo he’s supposed to play. Especially, in the worlds that V Hyung maintained. And now since Taehyung from your private university became a young hidden boss ruler as well, Jeongguk always had to make a few visits to that world. Yet like always, because he is an incubus in a human world, he was only visible in the dream sphere or in your dreams. So if you were curious where he was, you could wish for him to show up and he might- at least after he finishes whatever he had to do for the young boss Taehyung*

It was odd for him to be back, having just returned from that place. His brows furrow in thought. It was truly absurd how the world worked and how easily it seemed it could break. Not that Chanyeol would ever understand how, but to be able to jump from one world to the next was just insane. He wondered if he would even remain here or simply stay away. He could not deny that the temptation wasn't strong and didn't exist. Yet, it wasn't the safest choice. There were a lot of unknowns and variables that could ultimately leave him with nothing. Though he hated the restrictions of his life, of this world... it is all he has ever known.
