Soeun's arms stretch above her head once again as she re enters the boyfriend factory, rubbing her forehead and she straightened her back and smiled more energetically at the worker behind the counter. "Hi, how are you?" She asked politely, starting a conversation in small talk to the best of her ability with drooping eyelids. She hummed in response as she assumed he said something funny, laughing breathlessly behind her hand and wiping hair out of her face. "Ah, same here." She replied in a daze, not really sure if her response had made any sense. "Well, I just wanted to re-purchase Yifan, then I'll be out of your hair." She commented jokingly, with a small smile as she leaned against the counter. She nodded as he assured her that would be handled and she exited the boyfriend factory.

Soeun rubbed her tired eyes, stretching her arms over her head as she used her back to push the door to the Boyfriend Factory open. She stepped in easily, hoping her mascara didn't smudge as she smiled politely at the unfamiliar face behind the desk, another sign as to how long she hadn't been here. While all of the mandatory college classes ended, Soeun felt like she still didn't get the education she wanted, so, she applied to an online coarse. Nothing too complex, just some lower level animation, a creative writing coarse or two, and the rest were graphic design. While the classes seemed easy for the first weeks, her teachers all being relatively supportive and polite, after about a month, the homework began to pile on. Soeun finds herself rarely leaving the house anymore at this point, buried up to at least her neck in short stories with 'characters that are too weak', and sketches of people who didn't have enough emotion. So, the reason Soeun came to the Boyfriend Factory today, was a more upsetting reason than her previous trips. She didn't need a boyfriend right now, but she needed a face so,

She needed a model.

Her lack of friends and colleagues propelled her closer to the desk, a polite smile on her face as she quietly wished the new face a good morning. "I'm just here to look through the catalog." Her eyes barely skimmed the words, more content on looking at bone structure and facial features than personality. Her eyes landed on a doll with a more masculine kind of face than the others, high arched cheekbones, which with the right lighting could be beautifully shaded in, and a 'complex system.'

That must mean more emotion!

"Thank you, I'll take number 006. Yifan," She smiled sweetly at the worker and left with little discussion and discovered on the way out that her mascara had smudged horribly, and much too tired to care.

With her previous doll, she had forgotten to renew their contract in time to have his memory wiped out. It's a real bitter feeling regardless if she had invested her feelings or not. To create memories only one party would remember is just like writing a diary about a non-existent friend. Ultimately, all she knew was that she wouldn't want the same thing to happen to Hyungsik. Much that she always denied liking him, he's still a good company that she would want to keep around. Perhaps as a study specimen, like how she is to him. A mutual analysis, how romantic.

Logging into the boyfriend factory website, her mouse cruise to the "My purchase" button, clicking the "Renew Contract" without a second of hesitation. She's not greedy. As much as Yerim still oogles over other models, she had intentions to keep #014 for as long as she can afford. Just one that can share their memories, for as long as possible.

The girl huddled under her covers on her sofa blew her nose as she wiped the tears off the back of her palm as the credits started to roll. Ever since the departure of her previous doll, Yerim was so upset that she spent all her time crying while watching disney movies, eating microwaved food and simply making a mess out of her whole house. It was still pretty hard on the happy-go-lucky and slightly eccentric girl. She really like Yixing, though he was rather quiet.

"No, I can't spend my time like this!" Suddenly standing up from her couch, Yerim's mascara-tear-stained cheeks glisten under the lamp as she swells with new found determination. Yes, she's gonna go order another doll. Disregarding the fact that she had two different socks on, the girl stumbled towards her computer and logged in to her account from The Boyfriend Factory website. Scrolling through the catalog, her grin recovered as she crinkled her nose, clicking on a specific picture. #014, Hyungsik. "Wakey, wakey, sleeping beauty~" the lady chuckled as her arrow clicked on the "confirm purchase" button.

Soeun was aware how early it was when she stepped into the Boyfriend Factory, but she couldn't help being giddy. She was getting another boyfriend today after a long, long detox session. She wasn't 100% sure as to why she felt the need to escape the dating scene all together, but she had decided a long time ago that regular men just wouldn't do regardless, so she stuck to her little doll addiction. However, one thing she knew she needed was money, which she had now, due to a pretty little job she planned on taking vacation off of for a while for her new boyfriend. She leaned against the front desk, eye-smiling widely at the familiar worker who offered a polite smile in return. "Good morning, how are you?" Soeun asked politely, half listening as the worker joked about being tired and it being "too damn early" for work. Soeun laughed and bowed her head thankfully as the catalog was handed to her.

She skimmed through the book lazily, taking her time as she sat in one of the waiting seats, contemplating and looking through all the dolls she could see, furrowing her brows as one caught her eye. She read through the description laughing lightly at some parts and humming and smiling at the cute photo. He was cute, a bit of a change from her past dolls. "I'll purchase 018-Zelo," Soeun said smiling down at the boy in the photo and handing back the catalog. She smiled thankfully as the worker rang up her purchase, turning and leaving the Factory with a skip in her step and the sun rising in the distance.

"Did you actually know that there is a way for you to keep him forever?" Upon hearing her manager speaking out those words, Minha had been silently sitting in front of the mirror with her eyes closed as a hair stylist was busily working on her hair for the following shooting. Her eyelids fluttered open and she stared at her anager through the reflection of the mirror, eyes slightly widened in disbelief. How come she had never heard of this before? She had been together with Sunggyu for so long already, eight years since she met him the first time and seven years that the two of them had spent together in total, but never had she heard of the possibility to keep one of the androids forever.

"Really?" Her voice was just above a whisper, too scared that this all might just be a dream and the moment she made any rash movement she would wake up.
"It's true. I did some researches and in some really rare cases customers are allowed to do infinite purchases. but like i said. it's really rare and you will probably need to do lots of paperwork and fulfill lots of different conditions."

slowly reaching out for her left arm, the female started to pinch herself, putting as much pressure in as possible. It hurt. Despite the pain a smile started to form on her lips. just the thought of a chance for her to be with Sunggyu forever managed to increase her heartbeat. If everyone stopped moving at that very moment and held in their breath, Minha was sure that they would have been able to hear her heart pounding rapidly in her chest. It took her a whole lot to resist from jumping up and running right away to the Boyfriend Factory. After all she had to finish her job first before going anywhere.

The moment the photographer called it a day, all her resistance vanished and the female rushed towards the changing room, barely exchanging greetings when passing by the staff. While holding her mobile in one hand to call a taxi, Minha began undoing her sumptuously styled hair before slipping out of the dress she had been wearing for her shooting. Thank god she ususally wore casual style, making it much easier and faster for her to get changed into her own clothes.

An hour later she was standing in front of the building where everything had started. Thinking back of those times brought a smile upon her lips and just for a moment the female recalled all the memories she had created with android #005. Wether good or bad ones, it didn't matter since she treasured them all. maybe, just maybe, there was a chance that they would be able to create even more memories together from now on.

One deep breath before she finally moved towards the building, her steps somehow feeling light and feathery, as if she was walking on clouds. Another deep breath once she was inside before she took the final steps towards the female worker at the counter. Bowing slightly as they exchanged greetings, minha then straightened her back, determined that she would try everything in her power to make it possible for Sunggyu and her to be together forever.

"I wanted to ask if there is a possibility for me to purchase a doll infinitely. Doll #005 to be exact. i have purchased him for the past three years already and it's the third time I have purchased him. After spending so much time with him, I think he's the one most compatible wi..." Frowning at her own words, Minha just stopped in midst of the sentence. What she said was all true, but somehow it felt too...factual. It didn't portray her true feelings for the humanoid. "What i want to say is that it'S gotten to the point that I can't really imagine my life without him anymore. So please, can't I have him forever? It doesn't matter how much the costs are, just let me be with him without having to restart again and again. please."

" Go in already!" Seukhye heard her best friend order her as she tried to push her to go in. "I... I changed my mind I can just make something up or read about it online it's fine really." Seukhye said as she tried to get her friend to just let her off the hook even though seukhye knew it wouldn't work. " Oh really? So when your readers decided 'oh well ya know Seukhye's books are good and all but you know I saw this one book that actually makes a believe romance plot and I can actually picture it in my mind, Maybe I should just read that authors books instead since Seukhye seems to have no idea what she's even doing when it comes to writing any form of romance based story oh and-'" suddenly her friend was cut off when Seukhye frowned and just walked in. ' She's right... I have no clue what I'm doing..." she thought to herself as she slowly walked up to the counter and smiled timidly when the women at the desk gave her the catalog to look through. As her eyes skimmed down at all the machines, her eyes stopped at one in particular, "hmm..." she hummed faintly and let her fingertips gently touch the photo of the machine. "U-Um Miss... I would like to purchase Number eighteen if that's alright..." she mumbled faintly which caused the woman to laugh softly and nodded as seukhye handed her, her card to pay for the machine, After everything was said and done, Seukhye placed her card back in her wallet and shyly smiled once again, slowly exiting the factory where her friend was waiting, " So? Did you see one you liked? " But Seukhye stayed quiet the whole way back to her house while her friend kept asking and asking. But in Seukhye's mind she was thinking, 'I hope he likes me....'

Time flies faster than the speed of light when you're busy. After her arrival of her doll, more work came in for her from different companies. Music video, radio stories, even for a commercial. Yerim was 80% sure that her parents were the ones pulling strings behind her back to help her. Not that she hates it, but she doesn't truly enjoy it as well. And hence, day after day, she thought the contract with her doll would last forever, until she went to check. "OH CRAP!"

Running as fast as her short legs could bring her, that clever mind of her had decided to run to the factory instead of doing an online re-contract. As dramatic as she could be, Yerim dashed to the counter with both her palms slapped onto the countertop, panting heavily. "Please. Let. Me. Recontract. With. #010... please." Her panic is real because it seems like she's late, but she can't afford to let him go like that. With both hand clasped together she placed it before her forehead, knees hitting the ground immediately with her eyes close, literally begging for a recontract.

she almost had forgotten that it was that day again. time had passed by in a blink of an eye, faster than she had expected. Being with sunggyu had felt so natural, had made her momentarily forget about her struggles that she simply forgot about time. although they didn't do anything special in the whole year, it still felt as if everyday was different from the one before. her life had become much more exciting thanks to this one precious doll, yet at the same time he had managed to make her feel at ease. And that feeling of comfort and ease had made her less attentive. so much that she had almost lost everything again.

just by accident she had taken a glimpse at the calendar on her desk and immediately her eyes widened. on the sheet of paper a big red exclamation mark accompanied by the neatly written words 'boyfriend factory'. back then at the beginning of the year, when she had gotten a new calendar, Minha had flipped to that page, carefully writing these two words down. back then her heart had been beating so fast when she even thought of this day, yet in the past few weeks she had completely forgotten.

a look at her wristwatch told her that it was almost midnight, way too late for her to get into a taxi. by the time she would arrive there the day would probably be over already. panic started to spread out throughout her body as she rushed into her bedroom, her hands nervously pulling the drawers of her nightstand open. her fingers were slightly trembling when she took out a pile of opened envelopes, bills, letters. Where had she put it? Another glimpse at her wristwatch. only half an hour left, still no sight of the business card.

the rustling of paper falling to the ground when she suddenly remembered. quickly, minha jumped up from the ground, rushing over to her closet, her hands already yanking out the beige coloured coat she had worn on that day. relief when her fingers eventually closed around that tiny piece of paper before she hurried back into the living room. Reaching out for her telephone, the female dialed the number, nervously nibbling on her lower lip as she waited for someone to pick up. then finally, a female voice at the other end of the line.

"Hello. I'm sorry it's this late...i just completely forgot the date..." For a moment she stopped, wondering why she was talking about something unneccessary like that. right now there was only one thing that mattered. sunggyu. obviously the female worker understood the pause as hesitation or maybe even as guilt as she tried to reassure her. "it's fine. how can i help you, miss?" hearing the other's voice brought an end to minha's train of thought. one deep breath and she was focusing on her task again. "I'm currently owning model #005, sunggyu. i would like to extend the contract once more, please."
