@○ sehee Hojoon hummed, nodding his head enthusiastically as he followed her from the building out to the bus stop. "Of course. Not a problem at all." He assured her, mentally adding her seeming lack of strength to her characteristics as he summed her up with his mental server. "Right, tell me again what you like for decorations?" He asked, shoving his glasses up higher on his nose as he scoured his mind to see if there was any information she had given on the way she liked her living quarters assembled. "That's perfect." He nodded smiling, standing protectively above her as people walked by them on the street, giving choice looks to anyone who stared too long. "What kind of food do you like?" He asked, a weak attempt at trying to keep the brief conversation going, and side stepping subtly closer to her when a particularly rowdy group of adults walked by across the street.

@007 - hojoon "Maybe," Sehee chuckled, relieved that Hojoon didn't take it the wrong way. She didn't know how to comfort people and that included androids as well, so if Hojoon came to the conclusion that he was not good enough and therefore Sehee was working on creating a new, better version of him, then she was doomed.

"It would be nice if you could help me," she replied with a soft smile. If there was anything she hated then it was her limited strength, knowing that she could never carry much because her slender form didn't allow so. Not to mention that she was more of a thinker than someone active in sports and thus chores like buying groceries were pretty annoying to her. She hated that she had to go buy food two times a week just because she couldn't carry all she needed for a week when going once. With Hojoon's assistence she would probably get groceries just once a week.

"For today we're just looking for things we can get for your room though," she continued speaking. "And then we'll get as many groceries as we can carry. And we'll grab some dinner on the way too if it gets too late for cooking at home. Is that okay for you?"
007 - hojoon 9 years ago
@○ sehee Hojoon's brow furrowed as he smiled. Mentally scouring the internet for as much information he could gain on the subject when he noticed in the recent decades a lot of it had been dedicated to creating Androids, like himself. "Are you trying to make another me?" He joked easily, already finding an easy comfort with Sehee.

Hojoon laughed again, smiling with an automated, response generated twinkle in his eye. "I would love to see that." He grinned cheekily.

Hojoon was slightly taken off guard by her sudden change in topic but went along with it anyway, not bothering to chip in about his built in, mental navigation, which he has to use at his leisure whenever he should lose his way, or need somewhere new to take his girlfriend. Hojoon simply smiled and hummed, listening carefully to Sehee's instructions, regardless of whether or not the information was needed. His ears picked up when she said she had a lot of bags.

"I can help you carry the bags so you don't have to? Like cooking?" He chipped in, hoping to be more helpful. To be needed.
○ sehee [A] 9 years ago
@007 - hojoon She wasn't quite sure if it was a good idea to tell her robot boyfriend that she was a computer engineering major which had been the main reason for her to accept the job offer, next to the financial stability it provided her with during her years of college. Sehee knew though that lying would not be a good idea either - most dolls weren't as robotic and dense as people would believe, and so she replied truthfully, hoping the other could not string one and one together.

"Computer engineering," she said with a soft smile. "But as true your words are, engineering is still a field dominated by males. Societal norms aren't easily changed, you know?" Not that it had ever mattered much to a stubborn Sehee; she often went against traditional conventions after all.

"It's not that bad though," she added with a chuckle. "It's quite fun to see some of the guys getting their male pride hurt when I get better exam results than them."

She changed the topic right after, not wanting to talk too long about her majoring in computer engineering anymore for she might trigger a bad reaction. "Anyways, we're heading to the mall now. It's just two bus stops away, which is a ten minute walk. I usually walk there, but when I have a lot of bags to carry I usually take the bus."
007 - hojoon 9 years ago
@○ sehee Hojoon's 'brain' went into hyper drive as soon as the word "engineering" left her precious lips, pulling up all the information he could find on engineering he could find, and putting that pretty smile to memory. His owner really was a beauty. Hojoon's mind was sufficiently filled with engineering information in a time span of less than three seconds, but he would still ask modest questions so he could relate more with his owner.
"What kind of engineering?" He tacked on, afterwards, hoping to continue more with the conversation in fear that Sehee would forget him if he was too quiet.

Hojoon's eyes crinkled in a laugh, his glasses falling down to perch on the tip of his nose. "That would be insinuating that engineering is a man's job, which is incorrect, due to the fact that in the early 1970's and 80's women were introduced to the field in search of equality." He commented matter of factly, with a goofy smile perched on his cheeks as he pushed his glasses up. He was unaware of the possible discomfort this could cause for Sehee, it was only an attempt to reassure her that he didn't think she was any less feminine than she was, and as he opened his mouth to explain his intentions, she cut him off.

After locking in all the knowledge on the location of their apartment, he ignored the satisfied thrum of his system as the word 'we' left her lips, he figured that explaining his intentions on brightening her mood would be a moot point, so he kept it to himself, simply bowing his head and nodding, thanking her quietly for the instructions and waited for further commands from his owner.

@007 - hojoon ( i think i won't bother anymore otl.
you it's sehee even if i post as sehun right lol )

"Engineering," Sehee replied, showing one of her rare smiles, one that was not simply politeness but genuine. There weren't many things that Sehee felt a passion for and her major was one of the few things that did. Next to animals. She had a soft spot for animals, preferring those over humans actually. They didn't bother her, and except for demanding some attention, she could be sure they would never backstab her. She had planned to adopt a kitten or a puppy some day when she was finished with her studies and had a stable job.

"It's not exactly a very girlish major, right?" She chuckled, leading the doll out of the apartment complex. She didn't deem anything inside the building very interesting although she did notice how Hojoon was scanning everything.

"Okay, so this is the apartment complex we live in. Remember it's Seokcho Apartments, Complex B. You don't actually need to remember the address because there's a bus stop right over there that is 'Seokcho Apartments B'. We live in apartment 5.3, that means on the fifth floor. Any questions so far?"

@009 - sehun (( Saammmee i cannot tell you how many times i've had to cancel a page from loading to be like waaiiittttt)))

Hojoon smiled, puffing out his chest a little as Sehee grinned softly at him, blinded by his excitement in getting her approval and not noticing the somewhat built in 'thank you.' Even though his reaction would have been somewhat frowned upon do to not picking up on his girlfriend's obvious false attitude, he was still happy about it. Usually, that would cause him to be sent back to the company, listed down as defective since he didn't bother to completely assure her that she was the most beautiful creature on his planet. That was the dolls jobs. However, Hojoon's ultimate goal was the approval and love of Sehee. He trailed behind her, his head still high as his 'blood' pumped loudly in his ears. Hojoon nodded his head. "Sehee, if you don't mind answering, what classes do you take?" He asked quietly, looking around the hallway with wide eyes as this was the first time he'd left the apartment.
His eyes trailed over the light fixtures, to the wallpaper, to the other doors and wondered quietly if other residents here had their own personal Hojoons. Dolls and androids to love them, or if it was just Sehee. Although Sehee's ulterior motive with Hojoon still baffled him, since she didn't act like she wanted, needed or was even interested in him. However it wasn't his place to ask, so he kept his questions bottled up in a file in the back of his mind unit, pushing up his glasses.
009 - sehun [A] 9 years ago
@007 - hojoon ( i feel like quite a loser tho ;;
i've been having two characters for quite some time
but i still keep forgetting otl )

"Thank you," Sehee replied courtly with a soft smile, more out of politeness because that was her standard reaction towards compliments, especially when it were compliments about her appearance. While every girl yearned to hear words of praise for being pretty, Sehee was not like the average. Looks were only secondary to her, a role model student, and yet she still managed to look effortlessly fashionable, much to the chagrin of other people. There were a lot of students, mainly females, who envied her, but Sehee brushed it off, not really noticing and not really caring.

Grabbing her handbag, she quickly checked for all the important things to take with - phone, keys, purse - before she ushered Hojoon out of the apartment, locking the door after. "Alright then, I'll show you the neighborhood, too. You are free to wander while I'm in class, just make sure you find your way home, okay? I'll give you a set of keys later."
007 - hojoon 9 years ago
@○ sehee (( lolol that was me when I first got my second character, like same ))

Hojoon's smile widened two fold, as she chuckled, the bright sound causing another blush to rage across his cheeks. The sweet sound was definitely something he wanted to hear again, he thought as he ran his fingers through his hair. His fingers somewhat twitched as he resisted the urge to reach out and grab her hand, or touch her or something. This was the first time he'd seen her genuinely laugh, and his natural reaction as a doll, lover and caregiver was to hold her close but all he could do was smile.

"I like reading! And I'm ready to go." He commented, wringing his wrists as he followed her into the living room. "You don't have to change, you look lovely." He added, hoping to create that same smiley reaction.
○ sehee [A] 9 years ago
@007 - hojoon Sehee was unsure what exactly triggered a reaction as happy as Hojoon was showing her now, but it amused her nonetheless, chuckling when he tried not to seem too excited afterwards. It was cute somehow, but with the way Hojoon was acting she doubted she could ever see more than just a cute little brother in him. She wasn't one to like the cute type of guys, though they were nice to spend time with. Those nice, friendly type of guys were all more like brothers and best friends to her if she was close to them.

"I guess I should get new books to read," she replied. "And I guess we should get you a few, too, if you like reading. Or else you might get bored while I'm in class. Let's go now if you're ready. I don't think I need to change into a different outfit and we're already done here with showing you the whole apartment."

( i keep forgetting to change from sehun to sehee otl )

@○ sehee Hojoon's face couldn't help but split into a grin as she mentioned going shopping. Even if her comment still somewhat rattled his mind, the thought of spending the day with the girl he was made to love was too enticing not to be excited. Not to mention the stress lines that were carved into her face could use some lightening, and a day out would hopefully make her happy, which in response, made Hojoon happy. "That sounds wonderful!" He said, turning to face her with a wide grin, slipping the glasses up to the bridge of his nose from where they'd fallen. "And, maybe we could stop and get some books? I noticed you liked them, and maybe you can pick out some I can read." He offered, smiling softly as his mind began to whir with doubt. "U-Unless you don't want to. Them that's fine!" He tacked on quickly, stuttering slightly.
○ sehee [A] 9 years ago
@007 - hojoon Occupying herself with sorting through the last stack of books and papers, Sehee did not see Hojoon's smile faltering. She just chuckled lightly at the reply. "Well, you need to prove it to me first," she retorted. "Did you want to cook tonight? In that case we would need to go grocery shopping first."

Stepping back from her desk, she turned around to face the doll. "It's a Saturday. We could go shopping for things you want to use to decorate your room and we can go grocery shopping, too. If we're too tired, we can still eat out, if not, then we can cook at home. How does that sound?" It was a good idea she would say. It wouldn't hurt to spend a day away from her books, and like this she could get used to Hojoon better. After all, it wasn't just the doll who had to get to know her, but she had to get to know him, too. Each model had its own specifics, and if they were bound to stay together for a while it was always better to know what kind of person - or doll - she was staying with.

@○ sehee The words registered in Hojoon's mind and his smile slightly faltered. 'You could cook for me instead.' 'cook for me instead.' Oh. Hojoon sort of realized he's not actually a boyfriend. More like the help. Not that that was an issue, but it was a bit of a metaphorical slap in the face. His smile was back none the less, at the fact that he could do something to help his girlf-owner. "I'm a pretty good chef myself, consider dinner handled." He teased, winking at her playfully as he turned to look around her room so he could avoid having Sehee see his face fall. 'Cook for me instead.' The words swam around his head as his face drew a blank.

"This is a nice room." He commented to dull the silence.

@007 - hojoon Sehee stopped in her motions again when Hojoon asked her about her likings. Surely, she could have expected that question since most of the dolls asked that as one of he first things to know more about their owners and lovers. Hojoon was of course no different, and so Sehee gave him the standard reply, one that she had been giving a few times already.

"I like peacefulness and being comfortable, so I don't go out much. I prefer staying at home with a good book or a nice movie. Oh, and I appreciate good food a lot, too, though I lack in the cooking department. I'd be grateful if you could cook for me instead." That was probably the only thing Sehee really liked about having a robot housing with her. He could help with what she lacked in.
007 - hojoon 9 years ago
@○ sehee He smiled and sighed in relief, over looking the fact she looked slightly disgruntled by her request and returning to beaming brightly, slipping his spectacles back to rest on the bridge of his nose, where there were indents. Sehee didn't seem to excited about this experience, from what Hojoon picked up, which confused him greatly, sending his processors into overdrive, wondering why she would purchase something she didn't want. These thoughts generally sparked the virus that nagged at his system, telling him that he wasn't wanted, but these thoughts were ignored to the best of his ability.

Hojoon looked at Sehee and furrowed his brows. Something he wanted? He wracked his server for any answers, only coming up with one. Her. But he felt like she wouldn't appreciate that answer, so he kept it to himself. "Well, what do you like?" He asked cautiously, eyeing her.
○ sehee [A] 9 years ago
@007 - hojoon Back in her own room, Sehee placed the books and papers on her desk, thinking about where to put the books. The papers would stay on her desk, but with the other piles of books taking a lot of working space already, she couldn't place these here, too. With a sigh she started to sort out the books, storing the ones she would probably not need so soon further away. Admittedly, she was quite clean and tidy in general, but when it came to work, her materials would always be scattered around the place. It was a chaos, but a chaos with system, so she would still find whatever she needed.

She was inmidst of sorting out her stuff when she heard the doll speaking. Having almost forgotten the other's existence, she was slightly irritated and stopped in her movement. Turning around, she saw Hojoon standing by the open door, as if too scared to enter. Well, it was good if he didn't enter so she wouldn't have to teach him privacy - even between couples there should be still some sort of privacy she believed.

"Well, I guess one picture wouldn't hurt," she gave in hesitantly. It wasn't that she hated pictures of herself. She wasn't one of those girls whose self-esteem was so low they couldn't bear looking at themselves, but she didn't love herself - at least not her own face - enough to hang pictures of herself everywhere, and she didn't want anyone to do that either. It felt weird to be worshipped like that, which was why she freaked out when one of the previous dolls she had tested had done such a thing.

"Oh, and if there is anything you want to buy for your room, please let me know so we can go get it for you, alright?"

007 - hojoon 9 years ago
@○ sehee Hojoon nodded, quickly ridding all formalities from his system and taking on a more comfortable approach on the situation. He smiled lazily and nodded, he watched her leave, quietly looking around the small space and smiling, running his fingers along any free surface. 'Home.' He thought warmly, sliding his glasses up higher on his nose as he looked at the bare walls, wracking his brain for things he could hang. Per chance they could paint? Or he could print pictures of things they could both find common interest in and hang them around? Maybe she'd be into photography and they could take photos together?

Hojoon wasn't built to have interests, he was created to have only two interests. His owner and pleasing his owner, therefore there wasn't much elbow room when it came to creativity. He smiled dreamily running his fingers on a small square of discolored paint, that had clearly held a photo or painting of sorts, just next to the place he would sleep. He wouldn't mind having a nice photo of Sehee to hang there, just something to admire until he could find something in common with her. But he recalled her request before, yet decided that maybe negotiating wouldn't hurt too bad? He stuck his head through the door frame, hearing rummaging around the other bedroom, her room. He cautiously entered the hallway, pushing his glasses farther up his nose and running his fingers through his hair.

"Sehee?" He asked quietly. "Um, i know you said no pictures, but would just one picture hurt? Maybe a nice photo by the sunset?" He asked, pouting his lips and begging with his eyes, he watched as she began to refuse and he flashed her a wide smile, an innocent one. "Please? One wouldn't do any harm! And you're so beautiful!" He added honestly, feeling a hot blush fill his cheeks and he begged.
○ sehee [A] 9 years ago
@007 - hojoon Not being affectionate with robots didn't equal disinterest in them. Sehee was fascinated by them actually, but more in the technical aspects, as well as the software. Using them though, was a different topic. She didn't feel like needing another person in her life when she had always been a loner, someone who felt most at ease when being on her own. People would not understand why she could stay by herself 24/7, but Sehee just didn't feel lonely. She had things to do; she was always too busy to take care of another person. And wouldn't a boyfriend mean having to spare some time for him? At least the robots weren't as demanding. So far, none of them had ever asked her to spend more time with them, and none of them had tried to be dominant. It would clash more, she supposed, so maybe it wasn't a too bad thing to get all these models that were easier to deal with.

"You don't need to bow," she replied. "It's too formal."

Walking over to the desk, she took a pile of books and papers to move over to her own room. Passing by Hojoon, she gave a little smile. "Since it's your room, you can decorate it any way you want to. Just don't hang up pictures of me on all free spaces." She shook her head, nose scrunched up as she remembered having told her previous doll the same without giving any restrictions, and thus ended up having to remove pictures of her from all four walls. How the other doll managed to get so many snapshots of her, she didn't know, but one thing she knew for sure was that it had creeped her out.
007 - hojoon 9 years ago
@○ sehee Hojoon almost smiled victoriously when she didn't react to the nickname, running and hand up to ruffle his own pale blonde locks as he grinned. Hojoon nodded as she pointed out the rooms to him, marking them down and planning a map of the home in his head, should he need to navigate around without his glasses.
Hojoon poked his head through the door frame, glancing around the small room, a study she had called it. There was a small closet in the corner, filled with clothes he presumed, and there were books strewn about neatly. He allowed his eyes to wander as he resisted the urge to reach out and touch things, keeping his hands close to his stomach and wringing his wrist as he his heel, smiling broadly. "This is my room?" He questioned, looking at her in excitement. "I love it!" He assured her, bowing in thanks. "Thank you, lov-Sehee." He corrected himself quietly, aware of her dislike to nicknames.
○ sehee [A] 9 years ago
@007 - hojoon If Sehee was irritated by the nickname, she didn't show. She supposed it came with with model, the overly sweet personality, judging by his first action the moment he opened his eyes. Sehee felt little bad for the android to be sent to her, a rather cold tester. He would surely feel better with a nicer girl. Wait, did robots even have feelings?

"The room we were just in now was the living-room," she explained as she led him outside. They walked down the small floor and she opened each door they passed so Hojoon could look inside and catch a glimpse. Bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and a guest room that had been redecorated into her study room, except for the fact that there was still a bed and a closet in there, filled with male clothing, intended to be a space for her robot boyfriends and test subjects to stay. Being hired as a tester came with benefits, and one of those was a spacious apartment, one that a regular college student like her could never afford when there were tuition fees and textbooks to cover.

"I'll sort out the study room later so you can sleep there," she announced, stepping aside to let Hojoon enter and look around. "There are clothes prepared for you in the closet, but I didn't manage to sort out my stuff and bring them over to my room yet."

007 - hojoon 9 years ago
@○ sehee Hojoon slightly frowned as she ignored his advances. Hojoon had assumed that most girls swooned at their advances, as androids, they were generally built to perfection, so he was confused. But it was his girlfriend, and he would change to please her, as that's his way.

He smiled widely, crookedly, but widely and pushed his glasses up as they slipped down his nose. "Okay, love." He tacked on the nickname as an after thought, carefully monitoring her features to see her reaction. If she liked it, it would be in use frequently as it should be, if she didn't, he would not say it again.

He followed her around the seemingly tidy apartment, mentally absorbing information as it was conveyed to him and taking in everything in the rooms he was shown, smiling and humming every once in a while to assure that his attention was being paid.
○ sehee [A] 9 years ago
@007 - hojoon Sehee watched with mild fascination as the doll slowly awoke to life. It all could be explained by science and yet there was something magical to it, watching as an object turned into a living thing. Well kind of. She wasn't too sure if a robot could be called a living thing when it was not a complete organism living by nature, but rather a human made construct of anorganic materials.

When the doll seemed to be fully activated, greeting her in a cheerful manner, the girl had been holding her breath. It was usually within the first few minutes that she would find out what kind of personality was installed for each doll she had to test, since she was not interested enough in her job and the dolls to read about their characteristics in advance. And so she might be disappointed now, seeing that the other was one of those lovely, sweet types. Those clashed horribly with Sehee's lack of affection, and as much as she felt bad about it, she couldn't change it. She just wasn't that type of person.

Pulling her hand back, she gave him a little smile and got up, one hand gesturing him to follow. "Come. I'll show you my apartment since you'll be living here, too."
007 - hojoon 9 years ago
@○ sehee Hojoon was slow in his boot up, as he always was. While the doll's body and mind worked, his mouth was the last thing to actively help thoughts escape. His eyes popped open, quickly digesting the new information and absorbing the room around him through thick round framed glasses as his fingers tingled to life, followed by a sharp energy shooting up both of his arms to meet at his spine. His eyes landed on the girl, carefully taking down all of her features and mentally swooning over them. She was beautiful, with soft features and a straight nose, and yet vaguely familiar. His lips twisted into a kind smile as he adjusted his glasses on his nose. "Hi, Sehee, I'm Hojoon! I'm your boyfriend!" He spoke with a slight stutter, a blush coating his cheeks which was, he hated to admit, due to a fault in his system they had yet to attempt to fix.
His hand immediately reached out to grip hers, pulling the limb up to his lips and softly brushing them against the back of her hand, smiling crookedly up at her.
He was a defective doll to an extent, physically and verbally there were a few kinks to work out, but that's what made Hojoon... Hojoon. He was more human than most other dolls due to the kinks, so he was left with them. His eyes mentally marked down every feature as he grinned.
○ sehee [A] 9 years ago
@007 - hojoon .

The second time was definitely less awkward. Sehee had been promoted to an official tester at the boyfriend factory, earning herself a nice sum of pocket money that she didn't really spent but saved for emergencies instead, when her parents insisted on paying her tuition fees. And that was about all the benefits of being a tester, because different from her friends, Sehee was still not too fond of the idea of having a robot boyfriend around. It wasn't that the thought of interacting with a machine weirded her out - though admittedly, it still felt strange to her - but rather the fact that she was not too sociable, neither with humans nor with non humans. And so she heaved a sigh when the bell rang. It must be the new doll she was supposed to test, announced to arrive some time today. She opened the door and let the staff in who was nice enough to carry the box inside and help her open the package and moving the doll onto the couch.

"Let's get over with this," she mumbled to herself once the delivery man left. The doll was sitting on her couch, herself kneeing on the couch in between his legs, and for a moment, she admired his features. He didn't look too bad, none of the dolls were anything less than attractive - except for Sehun maybe, she still hated the idea of a male version of her walking around. Shaking her head, Sehee decided to make it short. She leaned in and pressed her lips on the doll's soft ones, staying connected for a second before she pulled away.
