@❛ cooper park。 Although she listened to the best of her capabilities as the young man voiced his concerns and questions, her expression remained apathetic. It was not to say that there were no emotions churning within her, however Vivienne often had little patience for sentimentality and hesitation. In her mind, when it came to matters of work, her sense of duty and professionalism outweighed all else, especially when it came to the Ministry's security and reputation.

Even though she knew without a doubt that Cooper's concern about the duration of handling the matters was of importance to him, she also knew cases that came at the cost of lives were imposed by the limitations of the deceased family’s bereavement, which required cautious timing and the Ministry also needed to consider the resources of handling such cases again to mitigate future outcomes such as this happening once again.

"Mr. Park," she said curtly, "our priority right now is focused on the loss of the two aurors, therefore we are resolving this matter as efficiently as we can. Your other missions will have to wait until this situation is under control. Also,” she continued, her tone cold, a clear indication that she would not take any further argument on his end, “we are busy trying to contain the fallout from your recent failure and ensuring that no further damage has been done."

Vivienne knew that the loss was not Cooper’s to carry and that he was capable of rising over the bumps of this situation in the future, but irregardless, she would have to continue keeping a close eye on him. “Rest assured, Mr. Park, I will not let the paperwork pile on my desk needlessly. So I will resolve this as soon as I can.”

Then she paused, considering his contemplation about why his life had been spared. “In regards to your theories, dwelling on it will only make you anxious. We deal with realities here, Mr. Park. So clear your head and focus on your future effort. Conjuring incessant ideas will only hinder your progress. Is that understood?”

@❛ vivienne pendrich。 Cooper met Vivienne's icy gaze with a cool detachment of his own, his expression carefully neutral as he listened to her words. He was accustomed to her sharpness, her unwavering commitment to maintaining the Ministry's reputation at all costs. But today, her words seemed to carry an added weight, a reminder of the gravity of his actions and the consequences he now faced. "Of course, Director," he replied evenly, his tone betraying none of the turmoil churning within him. "I understand the severity of the situation, and I am fully committed to doing whatever it takes to make amends."

Vivienne's words hung in the air between them, a silent acknowledgment of the high stakes involved. Cooper knew that he would have to work twice as hard to regain her trust and prove himself worthy of his position within the Ministry. But as Vivienne continued to speak, outlining her plans for damage control and emphasizing the importance of redemption, Cooper's mind drifted to the events of his last mission. He couldn't shake the memory of the two Aurors who had lost their lives, the weight of their sacrifice bearing down on him like a heavy burden.

"Director," he interjected, his voice steady despite the turmoil raging within him. "I understand the need to mitigate the damage, but there's something I can't shake from my mind. The Death Eaters who attacked us...they took the Aurors' wands, but they left me alive. It doesn't make sense." There was a note of confusion in his voice, a hint of frustration at the uncertainty of the situation. He couldn't help but wonder why he had been spared while others had not, a question that lingered in the back of his mind like a lingering shadow. Cooper nodded, a sense of determination settling over him like a cloak. Despite the uncertainty of the situation, he knew that he would do whatever it took to protect the Ministry and those under its care.

Cooper's brow furrowed slightly as he considered Vivienne's response. Her words may have been curt, but he couldn't deny the urgency of the situation. With his recent mission still fresh in his mind, he knew that time was of the essence – he had other missions to attend to, responsibilities that couldn't wait. "Director," he began, his voice firm but respectful. "I understand the importance of resolving this quickly, but I need to know how long this is going to take. I have other missions that require my attention, and I can't afford to be tied up in damage control indefinitely." His tone was measured, but there was a hint of impatience in his words. He had always prided himself on his ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, but the weight of his recent failures hung heavily on his shoulders, threatening to overwhelm him.

@❛ cooper park。 A coldness drafted within the halls of the Ministry that morning, one that often carried the inevitable and heaviness of foreboding. Through the years it seems even Vivienne was unable to ignore it no matter how much she stilled the uncertainties that plummeted within the depths of her stomach. News of lost lives was never an easy subject to breach to those in office, but even so, it was not her job to grieve the losses, nor was it her intention to.

Her steps echoed against the polished marble floors as she made her way through the corridors. A stoic expression composed on her delicate features, a mask of professionalism that labeled her amongst her colleagues as “the viper”, a tag that she neither loathed nor appreciated. She had always prided herself in her ability to remain detached from emotional entanglements, but the murmurs circulating around the office about the recent mission could not skillfully evade her ears. It spun a whirlwind of gossip much to her displeasure.

As she rounded the corner, she came face-to-face with Cooper, a chance encounter but might have seemed intentional given his palpable reaction that spoke of the discomfort in the air between them. Vivienne's gaze locked onto the younger male, and she couldn't help but sigh. Her features remained unreadable and impassive, yet, beneath her icy exterior, she harbored a reluctant assurance for his work despite his penchant for trouble that often left her with a mass of paperwork.

"Mr. Park," she merely greeted with a cross of her arms before cutting straight to the point. “The incident that occurred in your last mission has caused quite a stir.”

She listened as he attempted to justify his attempt to do his best, but his words fell short in the face of the lives lost. Still, her mind was already racing with plans on how to lessen the gravity of the damage that had happened.

"You cannot undo what has been done," she replied to him rather sharply with a hint of frustration that simmered beneath the surface of her composed facade. "But it is my duty to ensure the reputation of the ministry. Therefore, I'll see what I can do to lessen the consequences, however," she continued, “that will depend on your ability to redeem yourself."

She had little tolerance for mistakes, especially since she was a perfectionist herself. “I hope you know that failure is not an option. Do you understand?”

@❛ vivienne pendrich。 As Cooper reflected on his recent mission, a heavy weight settled in the pit of his stomach. It was true – he had made a critical error in judgment, one that had cost the lives of two low-ranking officials of the Ministry of Magic. It was a first for him, and one that filled him with a profound sense of guilt and remorse. Sitting alone in his office, Cooper ran a hand through his hair, his thoughts swirling with regret. He couldn't shake the image of those two young wizards, their faces etched with fear and desperation as they fell victim to the Death Eaters' ruthless attack. He had been responsible for their safety, and their well-being, and he had failed them miserably. As he replayed the events of that fateful night in his mind, Cooper couldn't help but dwell on his choices, the split-second decisions that had led to such devastating consequences. He had acted rashly, and impulsively, allowing his emotions to cloud his judgment and put those under his care in harm's way.

And now, as news of the incident spread throughout the Ministry, Cooper faced the repercussions of his actions. He was met with disapproving glances and whispered rumors, his colleagues questioning his competence and reliability. It was a blow to his reputation, one that he wasn't sure he would ever fully recover from. But more than anything, Cooper was haunted by the knowledge that his mistakes had cost lives – lives that he could never bring back, no matter how much he wished he could. It was a sobering realization, one that weighed heavily on his conscience and filled him with a sense of profound sorrow.

As Cooper hurried through the bustling corridors of the Ministry of Magic in London, his heart pounded with unease. He had been doing his best to avoid any unnecessary encounters, hoping to slip in and out of the building without drawing too much attention to himself. But fate had other plans. As he turned a corner, his path intersected with that of Vivienne, the Director of Public Affairs for the Ministry of Magic. Cooper's heart sank as he saw her approaching, her sharp gaze fixed on him with an intensity that made him squirm uncomfortably. Cooper forced a smile, his nerves rattled by the unexpected encounter.

Cooper's heart skipped a beat at the mention of his last mission, a wave of regret washing over him like a tidal wave. He knew that things had gone awry, that his actions had inadvertently led to chaos and confusion. And now, faced with Vivienne's piercing gaze, he couldn't help but feel a sense of shame and self-doubt. "I...I did the best I could," Cooper stammered, his voice faltering slightly. "Things just didn't go as planned." Regret flooded through him as he reflected on his decision to come to the Ministry that day. Perhaps he could have avoided this encounter if he had stayed away. But now, as he stood there in the shadow of Vivienne's disapproving gaze, he couldn't help but wish he had never set foot in the London offices of the Ministry of Magic at all. “How do we fix this to make this go away, quickly and swiftly, also keep my name out of the reports, as normal.” He gave the last sentence as more of a command than a request, as his missions were normally sensitive.
