markus' condo

@markus r. Eryx coughed, gasping softly. "That's... Interesting." He said, coughing again. He cleared his throat and curled up on the couch with a soft hum. He watched the dragon extinguish the blunt in the ash tray on the table in front of them.

"Umm... I bake... Love going to the beach... Or any body of water, really." He answered. He was calm again, whatever he'd just taken a hit of was already working it's way through him.

@eryx h. Markus reached for his joint back once Eryx took a hit from it. He could see that they were struggling a bit not to cough, but that was normal. “It’s okay if you cough, it happens.” He nodded, taking a longer drag from the blunt before he was exhaling. “So…” he started, ashing out the joint in his ash tray.

“Anything you like to do on your free time? Any hobbies?” Markus was asking so he could lessen the others anxiety. He hated the smell of soured scents, so he mostly did it for himself.

@markus r. Eryx smiled, glad the other was receptive to his compliments. Some people just look at him like he grew two heads. Eryx was the type to see the good in everyone, which often led to him being tricked or messed with... Or walked on. He, however, was caught off guard by the other returning his compliment. "Thank you~ Your eyes are... Actually quite beautiful. The color is... Enchanting." He nodded as if he was internally agreeing with his choice of words.

Innocent? Eryx laughed softly to himself. If only the other knew. Eryx wasn't all that innocent. But with this... Thing in the dragon's hand... He had no idea what it was, truly. "Oh? What does it do?" He questioned. He carefully took the joint. "Don't inhale too hard... Got it." He put the joint between his lips and took a small drag from it.

@eryx h. "Thank you, for the compliment." He nodded. He will always acknowledge compliments, especially when they were as innocent as this one. Usually, the compliments towards him were more... aggressive. "Your eyes are beautiful as well. They don't have to be odd, like mine, to be beautiful." It wasn't all the time that he was nice, but he was truthful. He thought people and creatures were too harsh on themselves. Just because they didn't have anything that 'stuck out'.

As he was taking a drag from his joint, a question from the nymph popped up. Markus laughed a little. "An innocent one, eh?" He teased, holding up the joint. "This is a joint. It's fit for supernaturals like me with a little tobacco. My favorite past time." He then offered it to the nymph. "Wanna try? Just try not to inhale so hard."

@markus r. "Of course... So selfish... I knew they were but jeez..." He sighed. Eryx hummed softly, listening to the plan with a nod. "Don't leave the living room. Got it." He gave a little thumbs up and made himself more comfortable, curled up in a ball. "I think your eyes are very pretty too. Mine are... Normal? They're just... This color."

Eryx watched the other light the joint and tilted his head, unsure of what it even was. "What's that?" He questioned curiously. The nymph paused upon realizing the other didn't know his name. "It's Eryx. Eryx Hwang." He nodded as if confirming it to himself too. Like he needed confirmation on who he was.

@eryx h. “It doesn’t matter to them. Besides , they think of everything as dispensable except for themselves.” He nodded. “I’ll deliver this to my client in the morning. Until then, you don’t leave my living room.” He said with a little point of his finger. He then looked at his nails with a hum from the compliment. He just shrugged. “They're normal to me. I can’t change my nails or eyes to look normal.”

Markus needed to put the blood somewhere cold. So his fridge was the best option. After he came from the kitchen , he walked over to his couch to sit on the opposite side of the nymph.

“So.” He started, lifting himself up a bit to take something out of his pants pocket. It was a tin case. He opened it to reveal a row of joints and blunts. He took out a joint and out the tin back. Slipping the joint in his mouth, he snapped his fingers to ignite the tip. He took a drag and leaned back on his couch. “What’s your name…?”

@markus r. Eryx let out a soft laugh, nodding. "Clearly... Killing me for my blood when all they had to do was ask... Absolutely ridiculous. Do they realize that if they keep me alive... They get... MORE blood?" He questioned, tilting his head. He sat still, humming softly with a smile. He didn't feel a thing and it was honestly a relief. He watched the blood leave his arm and go through the tube.

"Yeah? I hope so... I feel just a little bit dizzy." He sighed softly. He watched the needle leave his arm and relaxed fully once again. "Whoa- Your nails are impressive." He adjusted himself on the couch, getting comfortable again.

Eryx nodded a little bit, agreeing with him. "Ah-Yeah. I probably should." He hummed softly.

@eryx h. “Vampires are desperate bastards.” Markus stated as he traced along a good vein with the tip of his gloved nail. ”they don’t care if their prey is dead or alive- well, unless they’re the rich type.” He scoffed. He plucked at the vein one more time before he brought the needle out. “Hold still for me.” He stated before pushing the needle in. Like a knife through butter, no pain. He then connected a vial to the end of the tube. Extracting enough blood to fill about 6 large vials full of blood.

“You’re doing good. I think this should be enough…” he said, slowly taking out the needle. Once he took the gloves off, he just cut the band off of their arm with his nail. Markus got up to go to the bathroom. He discarded the needle and the tube there.

When he came back out, his hands were washed and clean. “I think you should stay here until everything’s clear by tomorrow. Wouldn’t want someone else seeing you and they take you instead.”

@markus r. Eryx sat on the couch, he'd taken off his shoes out of respect so he pulled his knees to his chest as he sat there, waiting for the other to return. When the other did return the color drained from Eryx's face when he noticed the needles. "My blood? But-Ah... Well... That makes sense, I suppose..." He said quietly.

"Oh... I mean... He could have just asked... I donate my blood sometimes... He could've asked." He said, shrugging a little bit. "But oh well..." He willingly let the other do what he was doing. "Putting a hit on my life for my blood... Crazy vampires..." He nodded a bit. "That... Yeah. Okay. I'm glad there's a solution to this... A better outcome."

@eryx h. Markus left the immediate room. He went to his bathroom to gather some things. Like a band, needles and some empty vials. Once he came out of the bathroom, he was putting on some rubber gloves that barely could withstand his sharp nails. Markus sat adjacent to the nymph. “You’re being hunted for your blood.” The dragon creature said simply. He was too pre-occupied with tightening the needle to a tube.

“I was sent to kill you. So a vampire could have your dead waste all to himself. But I decided that there was a better idea on doing things than that.” He said, flicking the needle. He the grabbed their arm to tighten a band around it so their veins could pop up more. “They didn’t say how /much/ blood, so we’re going to take a bit from you instead of just killing you. Yeah?”

Markus flicked at their skin to make the veins come out more.

@markus r. "I actually think about it often... I just... Don't want it to happen so soon..." Eryx hummed softly. "I would hope I wasn't a target for anyone but apparently I am... I'd like to know why though... But... You said you weren't telling me anything else right now... So... I'll just... Be quiet." He inhaled and closed his eyes as the man drove.

He had carefully watched the time on the dashboard so he knew exactly how long it took to get to their destination. 20 minutes. He got out and followed the man inside of the high rise. He inhaled softly, tapping his foot as they waited in the elevator. Floor 9. he was taking in every single detail his stressed out mind could handle.

"Oh- Alright." He sighed. He did as he was told and went to sit on the couch without argument. The other was protecting him. He didn't know why but Eryx wasn't dead. And he wanted to stay that way.

@eryx h. “No one has death on their mind twenty four seven, but should. In this world, anyone can have their eyes on your cold dead hands. And you would never notice it until it was too late…” Markus’ head looked over at them. “Like you…” and he pulled off to drive. He was speeding, yes, but that was because he wanted to hurry up to his own place and get this entire situation over with already.

The drive was a simple 20 minutes until they’ve come across another high rise building. Markus parked in its garage and was soon out of his own car. Once again, expecting for them to nymph to be close by, he simply grabbed their groceries and started to exit the garage by elevator.

He waited until they were in the elevator to press the 9 button. They went up 9 floors until the elevator doors opened and Markus walked out with the nymph. His own condo was at the far end of the hall way, away from everyone else.

Entering his passcode and putting in his key, he entered his condominium in silence and closed the door behind the nymph. “Sit at the couch.” He directed.
