Beautiful! *shouted after them desperately until his lips were covered into a hush. Lovable between the lightning guards he, they had to scold the man child despite V being the type to do everything his way or none. And they knew that with a sigh, some even asking chief guard why they brought him here.*
*jeongguk blinks when the swords suddenly started to come out one by one waiting for anyone to attack yet none did as the fire royals were already being led to their private quarters. Oh? A fight? He wanted to watch, maybe bet on the weakest like the others do with horses. Yet it seemed like his personal guard wanted to value his safety more. He smiled gallantly into your way too serious sharp eyes as you looked at him then led him out. As he was led out, though, he bit his lip hard until he was bleeding the same amount of red lipstick on his lips just to not keep looking back at the possible scene. And yes, he truly wanted to watch. Yet he followed. Less people only meant more attention on the people that are there including him. He still remained poised until you led him to the chambers*
*Hoseok tensed when lighting guard draws his sword. Did he just called him wife? His shaky hand pulled the hood further down, embarrassed. The shooting continues, and he just couldn't believe it. Jungkook made a space for you, making sure no one will touch you before slowly they started to more towards the exist. That untill he could hear the sword being drawn. *as the hours ticked by, lunch came and went, and the day was finally approaching the end, it was finally time to rest and yet not even he could. When his personal guard walked over and spoke to him, he almost stiffened at the closeness of your lips as it tingled his skin. Has anyone forgotten public space at all? He thought yet smiled politely in the same way you addressed him* Thank you, me there then, my guard *internally, he was reluctant to go inside in what was supposed to be his private room. He knew they would give the lock to his supposed lover*
*His brother's comment made him look again.* See? What a fool. *He heard, as he observed the water dripping down. It was a bit of a funny sight, and he very lightly smiled, before he focused back on his plate. His brother smacked his back hard, and Hoseok ground his teeth. * Weakling. *He looks up, frowning at when he noticed how loud his other brother's voice was. A few heads turned around, and his court nodded in unison. In the first moment, Hoseok was confused, but there was disgust on his brother's face, as he stared at the lighting court.*
As the greeting ceremony keeps going, Jungkook grows weary. The more bored people got, the more tension you could feel in the air. He noticed a few noble men of his own court passing nasty glares as lightning's, receiving just as many, if not more. Honestly, Jungkook couldn't believe it. How stupid they could be? It must be wine, getting to people's heads. There was no other explanation. Luckily, it looked like the official part was over, and some people started to leave. Jungkook turned around slightly, looking at their servants, and they nodded, then he leans over lightly touching Jeongguk shoulder, he pushes the mask down, his lips brushing against your ear.* Your chambers are ready if you wish to refresh yourself before the night, my Highness *He used your official titles instead of a name.*
*V barely paid attention to his surroundings or the chief guard trying to duck his head away. Yet a second later when he was drinking his water, he gulped more down with nervous yet anticipatory eyes once they met those almond softly shaped ones. He put the cup down as the liquid fell from the sides of his lip corners. He definitely didn’t look like he fitted this place to be here. Yet he sets the glass down as his supposed future wife meekly turned away. Did he scare you? Intimidate you? He thought foolishly, really thinking he could be intimidating though no one treated him like that; most treated him like the youngest and a man-child with how many times they heard V beg the chief guard to not make him go on the harder missions. But looking at someone and deeming them his wife was much different than meeting the other and doing so. V too wondered if the validity of his claim would stick.*
*jeongguk maintained posture and paid close attention to his surroundings from the leering of the others as well as his own king. One of which Jeongguk couldn’t do anything about but just accept. However he also paid attention to his closer surroundings and the words being spoken. Given his position he couldn’t miss a beat. Yes, he too knew it’ll be a long and stuffy day with this red mask. He counts down in his mind and when the feast started he focused on the food. Not truly hungry, he took only a few bites, kept pushing the food around on his plate. When he heard a commotion from Lightning court, he looked up, curiously. He didn't expect a pair of eyes looking back at him, and it took him by surprise. He managed to hold the eye contact for a few seconds before he shyly looked back. Noticing it, his brother nudged him lightly.* Don't. Hoseok don't let him win. Those Lightning dogs. *He almost spat the word out.* Keep your head high.

*in that case, everything Jeongguk wanted to do would be considered a disgrace. But sigh, yes. That’s what he skillfully traversed through years and years to be where he was today. He gave everyone what they wanted to see and left little for himself. But it was all worth it to be respected in the ranks…though it felt more like a chore than anything. His eyes moves slowly over the courts, noticing how different and tense they are all.*

You're supposed to be untouched, in addition, the fact that you could have defended yourself and did so would be a disgrace for Jungkook. He frowns, seeing how many people and guards fill the room, cursing in his mind noticing how many look in your direction curiously. Of course, they look, you were walking beauty and many would love to taste it. *
*what’s ironic about lightning court was that they weren’t even being that loud. Well- except people like V who didn’t want to be called here to begin with. But just ice was too quiet and calm compared to the other courts. Taehyung was just a special case as he thought as the junior secret intelligence he could get out of coming here but nooo this time Hyungnim didn’t listen to his begging. It downright . But he decided to /make/ then want to kick him out by doing away with manners.*
*maybe it was the earnestness to which his personal guard attended to him quietly like someone on a mission. Or maybe it’s the fact he’s already learned personal combat classes of his own. But yes, it was amusing given his already stuffy situation to see another so earnestly try to protect someone who could already protect himself*

*jeongguk noticed the very much stern individual for a guard because of the similar name. Yet his face was always masked with red makeup. Now he suddenly hid a smirk in his cloth before quickly stilling his face for the rest of the proceedings*
*He enters the room, with his family, hiding behind them as much as he could, curious eyes moving over the room. People watches them as they took their place at the royal table. *
