@Kang Seulgi “Hmm.” She hummed the doubt in her mind unsure whether to trust the vampire’s words. However there is no denying that the Headmistress hired professors who are not only the best in their chosen fields but also are not afraid to get their hands dirty. In fact, Seohyun believed that was the reason she was hired to teach the Unseen Dark Arts. Her gaze never cower when Professor Kang stepped closer and said, “I am not afraid to die. But I cannot allow the rest of the coven suffer again. So if it means slowing the aging process then so be it. And what are you afraid of, Professor?”

@Bae Joohyun By now, Minjeong had grown used to the curious eyes, the lingering stares that would follow her wherever she went. It had been the same hundreds of years ago when she had been just a young girl, her hair still dark as night, eyes filled with innocent curiosity. Although her appearance had changed over the years, other people's fascination with her looks had remained the same, if not even grown stronger ever since her hair had lightened in color, giving her an even bigger resemblance to a living doll. Or at least she thought she was used to it. But there was just something about the other's eyes that made her feel the slightest hint of nervousness, of discomfort. Still, she didn't say a word, quietly enduring the inquiring eyes.

When the other finally spoke up again, her eyebrows furrowed for just a second. Although it seemed like the dark haired woman had successfully pieced everything together, it still didn't seem like she remembered their fight. Or else she surely wouldn't have said that. Of course she had to do it, Minjeong thought to herself, not wanting to live with the guilt of killing someone by accident. Even if it was all for the sake of saving someone else. Still, it didn't justify taking someone's life. Faintly, she shook her head, blonde tresses slipping over her shoulders, covering up some of the exposed skin of her neck. "It's alright. Feeding....it comes with a level of intimacy." There was just the hint of rosy pink on her cheeks when she thought back to how close their bodies had been moments ago, the warmth of the other's breath against her neck, the feeling of her tongue pressing against her skin. She really shouldn't be thinking about this.

Redirecting her focus on the other vampire, Minjeong simply nodded her head in response to her promise, hoping for the both of them to not cross paths again. Or at least, if they did, it was when both of them were in a sound state of mind to avoid something like today from happening again. Still, there was a nagging voice at the back of her mind, an ominous feeling that there was something her father had once told her about feeding on a pure blood that had slipped her mind, something important that she definitely needed to be careful of. Something that made it a lot more dangerous than feeding on any other vampire. From the looks of it, the other didn't seem to know that Minjeong was a pure blood, a fact she wanted to keep hidden for the mean time anyway. Oh well, maybe later back at school she could do some research. Or send a letter to her father asking him about it. For now though, she simply sent the raven haired vampire on her merry way.

"Make sure you feed regularly. Don't let something like this happen again!" Raising her voice just a little, Minjeong shouted after the leaving vampire, watching the black shadow soon vanish into the darkness of the night. "For your own and other people's safety...", she added in a quiet mutter. After all, if some youngsters were to be found dead, drained of all their blood, this close to school grounds, it would only negatively reflect on the school and all of its supernatural inhabitants.

Rising to her feet, the blonde carefully dusted off her clothes, eyes still staring into the direction the other had left, brows furrowing just slightly, certain that it was the path that lead back to Castlebay. What an odd coincidence. She didn't dwell too long on it though, reminding herself that she too still had a hunt to complete this night. If she was quick, she'd be back to the dorms before sunrise with still a little time left for a short nap.

@Kim Minjeong although irene didn’t mean to gawk on the other, she couldn’t help to do it. a strikingly blonde vampire — looked so youthful. blinking, irene never saw her before, doubted that she was not one of the students here. once in her free time, the vampire read the school organization chart, all the faculty members’ face in it and none had a blonde hair like her. irene was good at memorizing people’s face so she definitely remembered every student’s face in the school and none of them looked like her. a wave of relief washed over her.

hearing the question coming from her, her cheeks were flushed crimson as the realization finally dawned on her. she just fed on a vampire, meaning it could be either too brutal or too intimate. considering she was still sitting on the ground like that and all well, not a single scratch on her flawless skin, it could be the latter. unless she could heal herself so quickly like earlier, or maybe she — there were so many possibilities could happen just like in detective novels. ‘goddamn it, i read too many books in the library.’ irene thought to herself, before any scenario managed to occupy her mind, she was quick enough to shake her head and proceeded to respond to the vampire before her with a nod.

“yes, thank you for doing that. even though you don’t really have to,” she murmured in a hushed voice, ashamed. “and i am deeply sorry if i make you feel uncomfortable or touch you in an inappropriate way.” irene continued with a finality and bowed in apology, as deep as she could. "i shall take my leave now. thank you once again, you’ll never see me again, ever again. i promise." irene put on the hood of her cloak to cover herself fully, just like earlier. all covered from head to toe, fearing someone might actually catch her sneaking out in ungodly hours.

on her way back to the school ground, irene contemplated whether to go back to the stranger and make her forget things or not. because she really wanted to hypnotize the other to make her forget this incident so much, but somehow she felt the blonde could keep this as a secret, to herself and probably would never see irene in person again. unless the fate say otherwise.

@Bae Joohyun It had been a long time since Minjeong had been this physically close to anyone, a wave of heat surging through her body, warming up the usually cold and pale skin of her cheeks to a rosy pastel pink when she was pulled in even closer, any space between their bodies completely gone. If she had to choose, the close hold felt even more uncomfortable than being drained of her blood. Luckily though, it didn't last much longer. Much to her surprise, the other woman seemed rather obedient, listening to her demand without any protest.

Another surprise came in the form of being shoved away. Bracing her fall with her hands, Minjeong turned to glare at the other woman, gears switching back to high alert mode, ready to go on the defense should she decide to attack. That was until she caught sight of the rather mortified look on her face. First horror, then guilt, then confusion, the red hue in her eyes gradually disappearing. Realizing that she had no bad intentions, the blonde relaxed a little, though her watchful eyes remained trained on the other's face.

She could feel her eyes on her, knew that the raven haired woman was staring at the wound on her neck quickly closing up again. Quietly waiting, she watched as she put all the puzzle pieces together, watched as realization took over her facial features. She almost sneered at the silly question, but reminded herself to be polite. After all, it didn't seem like the vampire in front of her remembered the hostility between them earlier that night, all the things that had transpired leading to this moment.

"Mmh", Minjeong responded with a quiet affirming noise, remaining seated on the ground, knowing that from a psychological point it would make herself appear less threatening. Even when the other slowly stepped closer, she stayed where she was, only tipping her head back a little further to be able to still meet eyes with the stranger. "Are you feeling better now?"

@Kim Minjeong so good. more, let me have more. her dark ruby eyes were glowing brightly in the darkness of the forest, more of the red liquid into her system with her fangs were stained with thick blood. a pat on the head as if coaxing irene to take more — at least that was she thought. so, she did, gladly. it was just like a drug to her. arms still wrapped around her, pulling even more closer till there was no space, not even a tiny space between them as irene pressed her lips more against the soft skin greedily.

irene was still high on the other’s blood, amazed at how her senses heightened in just 'few drops' of the blood. again, she felt a feathery touch on the shoulder yet the other did not make a move to pull irene away from herself. not taking any chance, somehow she felt obedient upon the other’s command as if she got hypnotized by the soft soothing voice. irene’s pink muscle s out to the torn skin that she had been as she slowly loosened her arms around the other, making room for the stranger to move away. panting, she gradually come to her senses, for some reasons, she was mortified of what she’d done and shoving the blue eyed vampire away carelessly. breaking the ice on her legs with a new profounded strength, irene quickly stood up. her crimson red eyes has turned into normal dark brown ones, indicating that she was no longer in a blood frenzy or anything.

as if her memory of getting beaten or chasing her prey in the wild crazily was being erased, irene touched her lips — she felt something dripping down from the corner of her lips and swiped the remnants of blood on her lips with her hand. blood? what in the world just happened? did she just have a blood frenzy? during her times being a vamp, she never experienced it before, or she did in the past — she didn’t really recall it. but somewhat she may or may not witness her friend turned wild, like all they see was just red, she thought they were just excited and went crazy. murdering every human they see until they were satisfied. the next thing, they were confused and didn’t remember the brutal event? as if their memory vanished from their brain.

utterly confused, she looked at the figure that she just pushed — was that a teeth puncture wound closing up she see on the other’s neck? connecting the dots, irene realized that she just fed on the other vampire in front of her. that’s why she felt different when she finally become fully conscious. “uh hi. are you— by the chance, a vampire too?” she came closer to her savior, timid. okay, that was stupid. instead of thanking her or asking if she was okay, did she just question the other’s identity? great question, irene bae. way to annoy the other woman.

@Bae Joohyun It's not like she's doing it out of the goodwill of her heart, but ever since little, the one thing her father had always drummed into her was that one reaped what one sowed. It hadn't been her intention to injure the other vampire this gravely, so now she had to take responsibility for her actions. Which meant to at least ensure that the woman was somewhat back to health before she could leave her. When the raven haired vampire dropped her head on her shoulder, she let her be, knowing that sitting up was still too exhausting for the stranger. Under normal circumstances, Minjeong wouldn't have let anyone come this close to her.

A quiet chuckle left her lips upon the other's question, a faint shake of her head her response. It wasn't the first time for her to be on the giving end. And certainly it wouldn't be the last time for her, especially if she ever decided to return home. The worst part was always the initial bite. Closing her eyes, she kept them tightly shut, bracing herself for the piercing pain, her body tensing up just for a moment. And there it was, the uncomfortable feeling of the two fangs breaking through delicate skin, the sharp pain shooting through her whole body. Unconsciously, Minjeong tightened her hold on the other's shoulder, fingertips digging into the soft fabric of her cloak.

Eventually though, as the turned vampire began drawing her blood, the pain subsided and she could gradually feel that area go numb. Neither pushing her away nor aiding her on her feed, Minjeong simply remained still. Until the lady in black curled her arms around her waist, holding her tightly. A quiet gasp escaped her lips, surprised by the action, or rather the close proximity of their bodies. Of course feeding on someone was already a rather intimate action that completely invaded their private space, but thinking that the other surely must detest her, she didn't expect her to want to be closer than necessary.

She could almost feel how the energy returned to the other's body, feel how her muscles regained their strength. Glancing down at her, Minjeong felt a wave of relief when she could see the cuts on her face quickly healing, the ashen colour disappearing from her soft cheeks. Reaching up, she unconsciously started to pat the back of the woman's head, a habit that was hard to get rid of. She thought that she would hate it, being this close to a stranger, the pain, the discomfort, but strangely enough all she could feel was nostalgia, a sense of warm familiarity. How pathetic.

Having done this so many times meant that fortunately she was much aware of when she would reach her limit. Although still somewhat far from the point where she would take a bit dent in her vitality, Minjeong also knew that the longer she would let the other feed on her, the harder would it be to make her stop. Gently but firmly, she tapped the lady's shoulder, trying to get her attention. "I think you should better stop now. Or I'll have to make you. And you and I both know, it's not gonna be pleasant for you."

@Kim Minjeong irene straightened up for a bit due to a stern push on the shoulder by the other woman. although she would rather slump on the ground instead because she felt weak to even sit but a weight on her lap didn’t allow her to do so. of course, she wanted to live. who wouldn’t want to live, what a stupid question was that, irene thought. of course, irene wouldn’t say that to her soon to be savior. but instead, she just leaned in lazily and dropped her head in the other’s shoulder before turning her head to face her pale skin.

“shouldn’t you be scared of me draining your blood?” voice laced with hesitation, irene swallowed a lump in . hands creeping onto the hem of the other’s coat to grasp on it. she could even hear the other’s pulse beneath the pale skin. thump. thump. unable to resist the temptation, irene didn’t even wait for the other’s response and sank her teeth deep into the female’s pulse, piercing the subtle flesh before on it greedily. just like a thirsty being who haven’t ever drunk any liquid in her entire life. she tasted so, so pleasant. irene couldn’t remember tasting anything better than this. not even human blood tasted this sweet. as if gaining her strength back, irene shot her arms up to wind around the other’s thin waist tightly, caging her in her hold.

fluttering her eyes closed as she allowed herself to revel in the rush blood running down . just like heaven. it was like an electric pulse extending down to all her vessels, lighting up all her nerve fibers, effectively quenching her blood thirst just in seconds. fangs buried even deeper into her skin with each swallow of her sweet pure blood running down through her whole body. irene moaned delightfully against her skin. gone her pain, her thirst, her injuries — all of them were replaced with a pure euphoria. so addicting. irene wasn't sure if she wanted to switch back to human blood after this.

@✡︎ Seo Joohyun Seulgi shrugged, "I don't know... A killer? All of us in Castle Bay are killers, no one would report when all of us are guilty of killing someone." She responded before looking at the witch's action to throw the head into the flames. Seulgi grinned, "Good question, what do I gain by knowing?" She asked herself as she starts walking around the woman in circle, "I seek knowledge but I never sought to share it with everyone, I am not a rat nor a snake, I'd rather be a bat or a cat." She chuckled, "I don't tell these kind of things to anybody, plus it could ruin your reputation as a professor too, not just yours but the reputation of the school if I open my mouth about this." She added.

Then she listened to the words of the witch and nodded, she stopped in front of her, "I see..." She then looked at burning corpse before her gaze went back to Joohyun. "Now, let me ask you a question again." She went closer to the witch, "Are you afraid of death?"

@Kang Seulgi There is an itching desire springing within as she balled her hands into a fist. Seohyun’s eyes burning with indifference since she can cast a spell and burn the vampire alive. “What would that make me?” She asked herself and walked closer, picking up the man’s head, throwing it into the flames.

Fear of the supernatural is not engraved in her body. The vampire is as vulnerable as she is mortal. She cleared , contemplating if revealing the truth will break the law. Tucking a stand of hair behind her ear, Seohyun eyed the woman head to toe, sizing her up. If all goes south, she must find a way to silence a woman without spilling another blood. “And what would you gain by knowing? Reporting me to the authorities won’t do you good.” She reached her hand over, playing with the woman’s locks. “I can deny it. Or they’ll even be grateful that he died. But fine, let me entertain you.” Her eyes feel on the woman’s lips and grinned. “You are gifted with forever while we rot slowly. My coven is strong but we are small compared to the coven’s ruler by warlocks. To help our elders, this I must do.”

@Bae Joohyun Waiting for the unconscious vampire to come to her senses again felt like an eternity, but at least if gave Minjeong enough time to take a proper look at her. Underneath all the cuts and bruises, the dark veins that seemed to stand out even more against the ashen pale complexion, was a beautiful and delicate face. She seemed to be dreaming of something unpleasant though, as a hint of a frown was visible on the lovely features, eyes rapidly moving underneath the thin, almost translucent eyelids. Minjeong had heard of it before, people seeing flashes of memories of their past life when they were close to meeting their end. Judging from the hatred, the anger she had seen when they had been fighting, the restlessness she was witnessing right now, it seemed like this one had had a rather difficult life full of hardships. In some way, she felt pity for the stranger. Or perhaps it was the guilt for having gravely injured her like this.

Her attention was drawn back to the woman in front of her when she caught a slight movement from her, body slightly stirring. It seemed like her trick was working. Not that she had ever tried it out before. But her father had once told her just how much more potent, how much more alluring a pure blood vampire's nectar of life was compared to a mere human's. A single drop could revive even the lowest of vampires from the brink of death, give them back their vitality and even enhance their powers. But of course everything in life came with a price. What the receiver gained in physical strength and power came at the cost of their sanity. The more of the pure blood they consumed, the more hooked up they became, to the point where some of them couldn't drink any other blood. Of course Minjeong had no intentions of letting it go that far. But right now it was the only way to keep the stranger alive.

It seemed like there was still a little bit of fight, a little bit of feisty left in the dark haired stranger, her eyes still red as rubies. Good. It meant that perhaps the worst outcome could be avoided. She was still straddling the other woman, aquamarine eyes deep as an ocean as she looked down at her, one hand placed on her shoulder and slightly pushing her back against the tree trunk to keep her sitting upright. "Saving your life, obviously." Minjeong responded matter of factly, her face void of any emotions.

By now the wound on her neck had already closed up again, her accelerated cell regeneration working perfectly fine, unlike the pitiful woman in front of her. The cuts on her otherwise flawless skin were still visible, but at least they had stopped bleeding. Using her free hand, Minjeong wiped away the trickle of blood that had run down her collarbone before bringing it closer to the other's face to let her get another whiff of the alluring scent.

"Do you want to live?"

@✡︎ Seo Joohyun Seulgi didn't flinched at the witch's action to burn the man into a crisp, she had seen many corpse burned but not as a sacrilege but a form of funeral pyre. "I would and might understand, if you give me some answers as to why you had to kill a man for something." She responded, the pyre burned brighter which led to their surroundings to brighten a bit.

"We are different in a way, Miss Seo." Seulgi added before she was questioned by her about wanting to know the truth behind this ritual, she shrugged a bit before tilting her head a bit. "I am a vampire living for centuries, I seek for the truth behind of everything." Then she broke her seriousness with a grin, "In short, I can be a bit of a curious cat and a nosy bat when things I am seeing intrigues me." Her pricked finger stopped bleeding and healed quickly, leaving a trail of blood on the floor. "I won't do any harm on you if you tell me about it-- or should we do bargaining instead?" She stopped in front of her, a meter of distance between them.

@Kim Minjeong a flash of memories of her young self rushed into her subconscious mind — cold. dark. alone. just like other children and little human joohyun was cowering at the lone corner, hiding from the beating of her head of orphanage. covering her head with trembling hands, head felt so heavy, leaning onto her knees to reduce the heaviness. their tiny lanky bodies were trained beyond their limits, yet there was no food to satisfy their hunger. only the one who could surpass the ‘test’ would get unlimited supply of food. she never wanted to live this miserable life, she wanted a normal one which she accidentally saw a happy family who lived just across the street through a small window. bright place, full of smiles and laughters unlike the ‘orphanage’. growing older, she learned to sneak out from the orphanage with the others. living the best that she could until she once watched a dark shadow feeding on a hooker in the dark alley — still unable to quench the thirst, the vampire seemed to know the human presence behind them. human joohyun was never afraid things like that, she was just terrified of humans although she was one of them.

that was the last time human joohyun felt normal. the next time she woke up in a bed, back in the orphanage. a detention room full of the other children that sneaked out that night. joohyun felt so different, felt so powerful than ever. with those enhanced super senses, joohyun easily passed the test and finally escaped from the miserable life, up to having missions. undercover missions to annihilate the useless corrupted human beings. although feeding on those evil beings was awful, the stench, joohyun never complained over fresh human blood. one of the reasons that joohyun was unstoppable back then, until the orphanage started to act different on joohyun and her vampire friends — yes, she bit them and turned them into vampires. one by one, her friends, was burnt, as the ‘orphanage’ knew who they really were. supernatural creatures apparently disgusted them. leaving joohyun in the forest to the brink of dehydration, tied up while the remaining of her friends was still evident in front of her.

pain throbbing all over her body, her head felt so heavy until — she smelled a strong smell of different kind of blood. irene was not sure that she was dreaming or what. this kind of scent, she never smelled something very pleasant before. a hint of floral scents along with a hint of copper. it was making her lightheaded on top of her very dehydrated state. trying hard to pry her eyes open, the sight of a bright red liquid contrasting to the other’s milky white skin greeted her with a faint bluish veins underneath the skin. face was filled of scratches and faint black veins stretching out in tendrils down to her neck, she tilted her head up and with still bleary eyes, all she could see was a blurred vision of the other but she knew it was her previous opponent. it was obvious to her, not all human were brave enough to face a wild vampire like her. not fail to notice, her legs felt immobilized. it must be her.

irene let out a raspy chuckle and questioned her motive, “what are you doing?” wasn’t she the one who fight irene to protect a human — human over vampire, somehow she felt pathetic. she would rather hunt more people than drinking a fellow vampire, but of course not in this condition. because she was afraid once she started, she wouldn’t be able to stop.

@Kang Seulgi Seohyun never felt the need to explain such heinous crime since only her and the coven knows the true identity of the man, the horrible things he had done and the real reason for him being the victim. In her mind, the witch would remind Professor Kang to hush the judgement but Seohyun is bound on a vow. “People like you will never understand.” The words echoed as she turned her back on the latter. The heels of her boots click-clacks against the cold floor. “Incendio!” She whispered and the altar bursts into flames. Burning flesh stunk the entire area and owls silenced.

“So eloquently said, yet you are as much of a murderer like me.” She slowly faced the vampire and watched blood trickle on the ground. Her arms folded across her chest and exasperated a breath. “Why are you so adamant to know? If i speak of the truth would you believe it? Me? An innocent killer.”

Seulgi hated innocents being drag for a much darker schemes, she had witnessed some of them for years yet it never changed a single thing in her ideals to put the good of people into evil things.

"You might question me that us vampires killed humans for sustenance, yes-- that's true." Her amber eyes glowed even more as she pricked her index finger, letting her blood spill on the sacred floor. "However, purebloods like me still has principles to come in mind not to harm innocents into our main course." She told her before she steps closer towards her, her blood keeps spilling on the floor. "What did you ask for in exchange of a man's life?"

@Kang Seulgi [Warning: Dark themed - mentions of death and sacrifice]

Seohyun apprehensive, following the woman's movement and never letting her slip from her sight. There is a reputation she must protect and the clumsy professor sure is the last person she'd want to deal with. For the Ladies of the Night, daughters of Hecate, the sacrifice that was performed was not of the norm. It a sacrilege, something only a warlock must do. But deep in her veins, she already consumed her twin's essence, giving the right to her father's name. "You're fortunate you weren't killed." Seohyun uttered, gripping the sword, ready to protect herself. Her eyes kept darting between the dead animal and the vampire. "This sure feels like an interrogation, Professor Kang." She sighed, beginning to feel frustrated unsure if it is a simple inquiry or a desire for blood.

As soon as she turned her back at the vampire, the carcass turned to a headless body of a man. Seohyun cursed that her iniquity has been revealed. She rubbed her temple. "It is not simple as you think. Our kind are not like yours, we need to get our powers from somewhere. This is the only way our coven can survive for another decade. So if you have any other questions, I'll be happy to entertain them. In exchange for your silence."

@Bae Joohyun The moment the other's body fell to the ground, Minjeong ceased all of her attacks, the ice daggers that were still floating midair returning to their previous liquid form, disintegrating into little droplets of water that quietly rained down on them. Still, she was rather cautious, after all it could just be a ruse, a pretend to launch a sneak attack. Not that she really believed it as it seemed like a rather cunning and well thought out strategy, something the other woman didn't seem capable of in her frenzy.

Carefully stepping closer, she continued to watch the other's passed out form, slowly counting along to the rise and fall of her chest as she continued to breathe. She had been careful enough to not aim at any vital organs, but still, perhaps she had overdone it. But then again, she hadn't expected her to be this...weak. Slowly, Minjeong crouched down next to the woman clad in black, giving her shoulder a couple of shakes. Still, nothing. Crap. Thinking for a few moments of what to do next, she decided to deal with the unconscious human first. She didn't think that he had lost too much blood, but that it was rather fear and shock that had knocked him out.

A heavy sigh escaped her lips, eyebrows furrowed. What a hassle. Creating two more water orbs, she one again put some shackles around the wrists of the vampire, tying her down to the ground to make sure she'd stay where she was. Moving back to the human, she dissolved the ice prison she had put him into, doing a quick check up on his vitals. Aside from the wound on his neck he seemed rather alright. Using a water orb, she cleaned up his wound, utilizing the little healing properties that her elemental powers had to close the two little dots. Next was to erase his memories, one of the first abilities any noble pure blood learned in their life. Unfortunately, it only worked on humans. Lastly, Minjeong summoned one of her ice creatures, an almost humanoid looking being completely made of ice. Ordering the creature to take the human and bring him back safely to his home (after having checked his ID card), she turned to face her bigger problem.

She hadn't expected the turned vampire to loose the fight that quickly or that she would simply accept her fate and let herself be pelted by dozens of ice daggers without even trying to take cover. Idiot. Shaking her head, she returned to the lady in black's side, removing the restraints so she could pull her over to a tree. Carefully, she made her sit up, back leaning against the trunk, this time restraining her feet, freezing them to the ground. What next? She couldn't just let her be and possibly die out here. Their fight had obviously cost her a lot of energy, not to mention the wounds she had sustained. By the looks of it, it didn't seem like the other would survive the night. Unless....

She really shouldn't be doing this, but right now Minjeong couldn't think of any other solution. If her father got news of her doing something so shameful, he surely would get angry at her. Luckily though, he was halfway across the globe, far far away.

Slowly, the blonde ed the thin coat she had been wearing, exposing the pale white skin hidden underneath. Letting the piece of clothing drop to the ground, she too lowered herself until she was down on her knees, straddling the unconscious woman. Praying to a god that she didn't believe in that this stupid plan would work, Minjeong used one of her ice daggers to make a small incision at the base of her neck, before leaning closer, bringing her shoulder closer to the other vampire, hoping that the scent of her blood would be enough to wake her up.

@Kim Minjeong 'willingly' the word echoed in her frenzied mind, it made irene wanted to crack up upon that remark. that was impossible. why would the humans come to vampires without any ill intention? and vice versa. humans and vampires could not live in peace, let alone falling in love. the word alone was disgusting. irene had watched her fellow vampires were burnt alive right in front of her very eyes. by who? by those vile humans. from there, she existed only to avenge the slaughter of her friends. was it wrong? morally yes, but irene cared less. as long as the humans were alive, she would be the last one they see before they closed their eyes forever. a dark and twisted one beneath her bright facade.

it was a completely fruitless attempt to get to her prey immediately as irene watched the frost box turned into opaque, restricting the view of the unconscious guy with more thick layers forming around it. strategy was long gone, every irene's actions was driven by emotions itself. blinded by the thirst. all these attacks was not strong enough to immobilize the other vampire, frustation and exhaustion slowly consumed irene as she watched the other effortlessly defended herself without getting any scratch. irene was too preoccupied with trying to come up a strategy to defeat the other without exerting too much energy, she failed to see the incoming attacks. the moment she looked up to the icicles hovered over her head, it was too late to protect herself and got drowned by a shower of the frozen sharp daggers.

falling on her knees before her slumped form thudded roughly on the ground. it was a good thing that the ice itself numbed her in a way that she could not feel her body except the intense coldness slowly seeping through her veins. before her vision dimmed completely, one last thought ran into her mind. why would the other vampire defend human so badly? what an interesting one. irene took a last look of the frosted walls as her hand trying to reach something and muttered shakily, "i..." then her entire world went pitch black.

@✡︎ Seo Joohyun She stepped closer, her footsteps make a loud clacking sound around the area. "You just did a sacred rite, however I never interrupted you until you're finished with your ritual." Seulgi responded, true to her words, she never interrupt the sacred rites that the other had done. "Therefore, I stand here, watching you do something." She added, the blood of the poor sheep now spilled on an old marbled floor, such precious blood to be spilled on the floor for a sacrifice of one's desire.

"Although, I'm quite curious what you asked for your god of something in exchange of a poor sheep's life." The vampire rubbed her chin, "Judging by the sacrifice you made... Did you only ask for a temporary power?" She teased the other as she chuckled a bit.

@Kang Seulgi Barely getting the blood off her face, the lone matriarch of the Church of the Night moved with deliberate grace within her circle, her hands weaving through the air as she recited an ancient incantation. Bursts of fire came from her fingers, not burning her flesh nor the sycamore tree the professor used as a target. A coy grin played on her lips, satisfied of the result despite her stomach making a somersault from the thick blood she drunk. The elements responded to her call, winds howling softly, while tendrils of fog began to curl around the base of the stones.

As she conjugated the final words, a chill crept through the air, silencing her. In that moment of stillness, a figure emerged from the shadows. It was a vampire, with an elegant posture that belied her nature. "Professor Kang." Seohyun did not flinch, her attention unwavering. "Tonight, I performed a sacred rite. You have no place here." The witch immediately grabbed the golden sword, sheathing it back before anyone can steal still. "It might make you ill." The witch responded, regretting that she said that since the other professor is Cold One. She doubts that the blood of the carcass would have any harm to the vampire, yet she is not so sure.

@Bae Joohyun Having separated the hunter and her prey successfully, Minjeong moved between them to further shield the innocent man. Normally, she wouldn't have any issues with most vampires hunting, as there was an unspoken rule that most of them adhered to. To only take enough blood without killing any human. But of course not everyone followed said rule, especially the lower ranking vampires and newly turned vampires seemed to have difficulties stopping themselves. That, or someone was simply evil and ruthless, their hatred for humans running deeper than anything.

"Unlike you, I don't have to chase people through the woods. They come to me willingly." For Minjeong, it was a different kind of chase, one that often would involve coy smiles, the batting of eyelashes, sweetly whispered words to draw her prey in. By the time she would feed on them, they would already be intoxicated by her charms, the sweet and floral scent of her skin, the promise of an unforgettable night. Except, by the time they woke up, all their memories would have been wiped, the two little puncture wounds by her fangs barely even visible, making most people question whether it all had just been a dream or not.

Noticing how the other's attention drifted back to the poor man lying on the ground, Minjeong made sure to reinforce the ice walls by a few more layers, a simple twirl of her hand behind her back enough to do so, all while her eyes remained calmly trained on the woman in front of her. She could see the annoyance, the anger, the impatience in her eyes, her own lips curving into a smug grin. Good. The more agitated someone became, the more they let their emotions lead them, the more mistakes would they make. Still, the blonde knew that she had to be careful.

Watching stones and boulders being hurled her way, Minjeong still stood her ground, not moving even an inch. If she really wanted to get to the prey, she would have to get through her first. Creating large water orbs in her palms, she would reshape them into sharp ice shards and launch them at the stones and trunks thrown her way, using them as projectiles to shatter them or at least deflect them from their trajectory. It was one of the most basic things she could do with her ice manipulation, barely taking up any energy. Child's play.

Drawing water from the mossy patches on the trees and on the ground, it was now her turn to launch an attack, the blue glow of her eyes only intensifying as she let dozens, if not hundred of ice daggers rain down on her opponent. Not with the intention to really hurt her but to distract her enough to find an opening for her to get closer and subdue her. Although part of her did wish she could just simply kill the other one, Minjeong knew better. It wasn't her place to enforce a judgement on an unruly blood crazy vampire. That she would have to leave to the authorities. But the thing she was allowed to to was to protect herself and other people.

@✡︎ Seo Joohyun Seulgi closed her eyes at the other's action against the poor creature, sacrificed for a ritual, never in a thousand years she heard such cries from a docile creature being sacrificed. She never really wanted to sacrifice such lovely creatures for something valuable, but to this extent-- What is the professor's motives in doing so?

More power? Restoring her youth? or... Immortality?

She clenched her fist at those questions in her mind, she had met witches before, they were powerful as well but they had rituals much cleaner than this, they desire for a long life, Seulgi seen that herself. She sniffed the blood of the sheep and watched as the professor drank its blood. If Seulgi could drink that, it is like drinking a water-- but in her case, since she is a mortal, it would be difficult for her to swallow it.

The vampire sighed and showed herself before leaning against the pillar, crossing her arms and greeted her with a bright smile through the dimmed light of the area. "The blood smells good! Can you share some for me?" She greeted as she interrupted the eerie ambience inside the church. Her eyes glowed amber hues as she looked at the professor.

@Kim Minjeong finally. a fresh blood, a decent one at last. better than animal blood. injecting the venom into his vein as she on his blood but this euphoria was cut short by this ice mage. at least that was irene thought who the other was. water splattering onto her back made her chuckle, it was just like a kid who used a water gun on her until that flowing substance froze and formed a shackle around her wrist. making her losing her grip around the human’s throat, stumbled at the forceful tug around her waist and getting separated fully from her prey.

“,” she hissed sharply, her fangs were dripping with thick blood. irene glanced at the lone figure slumped down on the ground with a thick ice box shielding him from herself. it seemed she was no ordinary mage, but a vampire just like her. studying her rival quietly, normally irene would read someone’s mind to know the weakness but those blue striking orbs, was too distracting in the dark night. she pulled her fangs back into her gums and her lips clean with a smirk.

“did you listen to someone’s “nice” plea when you feed on them? begging you to let them go. helplessly clawing your clothes with their dirty hands to make you stop.” she inquired the other vampire and purposefully laid stress on the ‘nice’ word in a mocking way. “or should i ask you nicely to leave me alone?” she jeered before returning her attention to her prey.

irene gained a little strength from her short feeding time, at least. with that, she managed to conjure one of her abilities, moving objects with her mind. still being in a blood frenzy, irene grew more impatient that she was disturbed when it was her feeding time. she moved the nearest boulder with a single flick of her wrist towards her opponent. another large stones dropping between both of them, making a wall of stones and other trunks, anything that would block the other vampire from stopping irene or shielding her prey. another frantic attempts to shatter the ice box in pieces, so she could continue draining his blood. little did she know, those excessive amount of her power she use, could drain her energy and lose her mind completely.

@Kang Seulgi [Warning: Dark Themed - mentions of sacrifice and blood]
Standing before the altar, she took a deep breath, centring herself as she summoned forth her magic. Tension gripped her heart; it had been decades since her last sacrifice. While it was a necessity in the circle of witches, it left a heavy mark on her soul. She had grown fond of her students, but the essence needed for the forest was not easily found.

But what could be given without losing parts of herself, she pondered as she closed her eyes, familiar faces flashing before her mind—the young, hopeful eyes of her students, their laughter echoing in the hallways of the academy. The thought twisted her heart, yet she knew the consequences of failing the Hecate's demands could be catastrophic, not just for her, but for all those who depended on her protection. Besides, she cannot allow the high priest to return in power. "Forgive me" Seohyun looked down at the black sheep docile, breathing slowly. A tear trickled from the professor's eyes.

Seohyun felt her heart thump wildly in her chest as she swung the golden sword down. In that moment, she remembered her brother, Suho. He was everything she admired—kind, brave, and fiercely intelligent. The memory of sacrificing him was unthinkable, and yet, he had unknowingly stumbled into her moment of desperation. It was a ticking time bomb. A twin but one must defeat the other in order to achieve a fulfilled life.

Blood gushed and sprayed across her white suit when the sharp blade went straight through the creature's neck, decapitating the head from the rest of its body. Seohyun dropped on her knees and the sword hit the blood-stained altar. She intertwined her hand as if in prayer and begun chanting ancient language when a gust of wind, warped around her. Out of nowhere, a beautiful woman clad in a long robe, holding burning torches staring down at the witch from the altar. The woman's feet not even touching the carcass. The shadowy figure floating around and inched her face towards Seohyun. Sound of barking dogs echoed throughout the forest. "Drink." The woman reached inside her robe and pulled a silver goblet containing a crimson liquid then offered it to the witch. Seohyun gulped, taking the cup between her hands and got a whiff of the metallic scent. She gazed up, hesitating but she must do it for her coven. She inhaled and squeezed her eyes tightly, not taking a moment to breath, gulping it down without even giving her brain the time to process everything. Red fluid dripped from towards her neck. "hmmmph!" She covered with a hand, trying not to throw up after drinking the last drop. She returned the cup back to the shadowy figure that soon disappeared, a eerie voice echoed throughout the forest. "Your prayers have been answered."

@Bae Joohyun Of course Minjeong didn't expect the other to simply listen to her threat, knowing that the blood thirst had already clouded her mind, but watching the woman barely even pay any attention to her warning make her feel mildly annoyed as it meant that this would drag out longer than she wanted to. Which also meant that her own hunt for prey this night would be cut short. All because of some rogue turned vampire who seemed to have no control over herself.

As the heavy scent of iron and fresh blood wafted through the cold autumn air, Minjeong let out a soft sigh, clicking her tongue in disdain. He didn't even have particularly high quality blood. The more she smelled it, the more disgusted she felt, her stomach churning at the thought of someone actually enjoying something so nauseating. Served her right. Low quality food for a low life form. For a moment, Minjeong even considered of just letting the turned vampire be, let her enjoy her meal, but of course that wasn't an option. After all, instead of satisfying, quenching the first, drinking his blood would only make her hungrier, make her lose control even more.

"Fine, you asked for it." Clicking her tongue once again, Minjeong lifted her right hand, drawing the moisture out of the air to form into a moderately sized water beam, quickly unleashing it to lash out the the woman clad in black. Aiming for the wrist that was still squeezing the poor man's throat, she quickly let it freeze to form a shackle before she gave the water leash a hard tug to force the woman to let go. If they had been fighting alone, without the human in her way, the blonde would have used a lot more force, more offensive tactics, but for now she needed to get the blood thirsty vampire off of him first.

It took her merely a second to close the distance between them, still tightly holding the other's hand in the ice shackle while her free arm curled around her waist. Although Minjeong had a rather frail build and small frame, she possessed more strength than a normal human which allowed her to yank the other away from the human, before she pushed her away with all her might. Of course it wouldn't do much damage, but it did give her enough time to construct an ice wall around the unfortunate man, practically forming a safe thick layered ice box around him to keep him out of danger while she was dealing with the other.

Once that was done, Minjeong turned back to the other woman, an icy blue glow in her eyes as she bared her own set of fangs. "You should have listened when I asked you nicely."

@Kim Minjeong irene checked herself at the mirror once more, making sure she was completely different than she used to be in the school grounds. donning herself into a black velvet cloak as the outerwear and from head to toe, midnight black clothes that perfectly blend into a dark night. although many years has passed since she turned, irene still struggled from keeping her blood-thirst in check from time to time. unable to satiate her thirst with animal blood in daily basis, she spent almost every weekend outside the campus, looking for a fresh human blood.

going out through the back door that only few people would know about it, she ventured along the quiet forest until she caught a whiff of a sweet blood scent from several miles away. the smell itself elevated her thirst, taking a deep breath, letting the familiar scent of blood invaded all her senses. the corner of her red lips curled up into a ruthless smirk, her upper canines grow into sharp razor like fangs and her previously dark brown orbs turned into dark crimson in color.

“bingo. found one,” or two. never thought tonight’s hunt would be fairly easy, maybe it was because she went out later than she used to. she dashed up close to the targets with the speed of lightning, hiding behind a huge trunk as irene listened to a pair of human couple’s quarrel.

“i can’t believe you cheated on me with her!” a tight slap on something, could be cheek or somewhere else. irene did not care, she just quietly leaned against the trunk, all there listening to their mindless argument with a muted yawn while contemplating on which one she would feed on. the guy or the girl. she made her choice, the one that would be insignificant to the other would be her prey tonight. or perhaps both of them. their blood could last for weeks if irene drained the couple to husks.

“that’s because you were never there for me when i need you!” pft, what a pathetic excuse. irene mused. “screw you, ,” the sound of rustling leaves reached irene’s sensitive ears, indicating one of them has left the other. peeking through the tree, a lone guy was there all alone, without any companion. delicious meal. yet seemed alarmed by a snapping sound of a thin branch that irene unconsciously stepped on. .

chasing for the prey, run and run just like a human ran. those feet would weaken in moments. irene liked the fear on people, she indulged in them. fear looked so good on living creatures like them, screaming for help — looking so hopeless like that. a wicked cackle was emitted. run boy run. not long after, impatience has settled in irene. she completely underestimated this human’s ability to run. bolting towards her target, the young guy was slammed against a nearby tree with irene’s fingers wrapped around his throat tightly, cutting off the flow of oxygen to brain. “you test my patience too hard, boy. i will definitely fetch you in hell, alright?” she flashed a toothy grin, revealing the sharp canines all bare, a horrifying sight before his eyes. she was ready to drain his blood, all of it until an ice dagger was thrown at her, almost hit her head, just few inches away.

she was so hungry yet this irritating creature interrupted her feeding time. irene’s head whipped around to glare at the culprit with her blood hazed eyes. “make me,” she snapped, feral. her grip around the human’s throat become tighter, almost crushing his trachea. surging forward to puncture her fangs on the innocent one’s neck without heeding the empty threat, the fresh blood. a pure euphoria.

@✡︎ Seo Joohyun It was that time of the night where Seulgi casually walked through the Mossy Willow, Seulgi walked along the grassy part of the forest where she could hear the sound of the owls, crickets and the rustle of the leaves. Seulgi is a vampire, darkness is her comfort, she never felt fear as she embraced the darkness surrounding her. While walking, she starts humming a song that her mother used to sing to her when she was only a little, the only difference is she could no longer remember the lines that her mother used to sing to her.

But then she stopped in her tracks when she stumbled an old church within the forest and there she also heard hooves of a horse and the cry of a sheep. Someone must be here. She moved silently and carefully before she sees a familiar figure, her eyes widen as she saw Professor Seo Joohyun. She hides behind the pillars as she sneaked inside, she sees the professor casts a spell... of what? Seulgi tilted her head as she watched what the professor is doing.

@Bae Joohyun Breathing out into the cold night, Minjeong watched her surroundings as she sat high up on a tree, legs leisurely dangling midair. Despite her laxed posture, all her senses were on alert, scouting the area for one unfortunate soul that would fall prey to her tonight. Since she was still fairly close to Castlebay grounds and it was Saturday, there were plenty enough reckless youngsters walking through the deep forests, some using a shortcut that would lead them to a busy main road after a quick 15 minutes walk, some other walking in pairs to get to an infamous clearing that was well known as the perfect dating spot. Especially on a dark night like this, where the crescent moon was barely visible, giving way to stars and their constellations to take center stage.

Just for a moment, Minjeong allowed herself to reminisce, memories of past lives flashing before her eyes, when the skies were even prettier, less polluted with artificial lights and stars shining brighter than ever. She too had once wandered the nights with a warm body hanging onto her arm, laid in soft grass as she pointed out constellations while explaining the stories of their origin. Many years had passed since then, yet each of the fond memories still lived vividly inside of her.

The short moment of calm and peace only lasted for a few seconds though. She could feel it first, that eerily ominous presence, before all her other senses kicked in. The sound of rustling leaves, branches breaking, heavy footsteps running for their dear life, another much lighter set of steps following close behind. Turning towards the direction of the sounds, she could pick up their scents next, a mixture of sweat, shampoo and fear, with a distinct hint of iron. Lastly, she eventually found the two shadows rushing through the woods. It seemed like someone else was on a hunt as well.

Normally, Minjeong wouldn't have cared. But something just seemed off about the whole situation, the scent of blood hanging in the air growing heavier and heavier the closer the two figures were to her. Squinting her eyes, the young vampire soon caught a glimpse of glowing red eyes, her own dark ones widening.

Blood frenzy.

She herself had never experienced it, but throughout her life she had witnessed it several times before. If not stopped, this could become a much bigger problem, especially when they were this close to Castlebay with many of the mortal students still out for a fun night.

Watching their path through the trees for another moment to determine their most likely route, Minjeong soon hopped off her tree, using her powers to create a thin layer of ice underneath her feet to glide over the uneven forest ground to start her chase. Catching up to the hunter, who by now had her prey pinned against a tree, the blonde didn't think much, already pulling water from the air and forming it into a sharp ice dagger before launching it towards the stranger, making sure to miss her head only by a few inches as a warning shot. "That's enough. You better stop now."

[Warning: Dark themed - mentions of sacrifice. Open to anyone]

On a crisp evening, with the moon casting silver rays over the land, Seohyun donned her long flowing cloak. It's fabric glistening with faint magical sigils. She is a powerful witch yet she must live in fear of mortality in any given time. Champion of the Church of the Night, she make way into the Mossy Willow. A place shrouded with in legends and tales of enchantment. The townsfolk spoke of it with reverence and fear, claiming it was the haunt of spirits and creatures forgotten by time. Yet Seohyun was undeterred; the forest held the key to her ambitions. She had a choice to teleport herself with incantations but she rode on a white stallion with a sword sheathed on her waist. Tied to her horse, a poor black sheep being dragged all over the rough path ahead. The creature cried in agony but the good ol' professor unbothered. Seohyun stopped at the riverbed, where an altar made of stone lies. The horse neighed being pulled towards a tree and was secured. "Shush, Prudence." The woman brushed her hands against the stallion's neck. "We must do this for my sake and the others."

Seohyun turned her attention to the sheep and cut the rope, separating the sacrifice from her beloved pet. Open palmed, she stretch it forward and said, "Levo" In an instant, the dark creature floating in the air. The witch twisting her arm as if conducting an orchestra, she softly laid the sacrifice on-top of the altar. She stood near the altar and uttered, "Born with a flawed mind and inferior body, I, Seo Joohyun, a Gemini Twin and daughter of the night, offer you this unholy sacrifice." With that, she drew the sword. The blade made in gold and shimmered when the moonlight kiss it. "Please hear my prayers."
