With the help of his wife, the two slowly climbed the social ladder, eventually passing the duties and title down to Jinho's father, their oldest son, and making Seungho, Jinho's older brother, next in line to inherit them. Jinho's mother, Lady Hyewon, was the key piece in helping them navigate the high society with her great social skills, she always made sure to showcase her husband and children, knowing how important it would be for investors or possible suitors. After her passing, the family now consists of only the three siblings and the father.

Family background: Ryu Hyemin, the late King's sister, married a Duke from The Danish Kingdom, as a part of political moves. The couple lived in Copenhagen happily and welcomed their first son, Baekho. However, their peaceful life ended abruptly during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. Denmark-Norway initially attempted to stay neutral in the ongoing conflict to maintain their trade with France and Britain. However, British fears that the Dano-Norwegians would ally with France led to a naval battle outside of Copenhagen in 1801, in which a Royal Navy fleet delivered a crushing blow to the Dano-Norwegian navy. Despite this, Denmark-Norway continued to remain neutral until 1807, when a British fleet bombarded Copenhagen and captured most of the Dano-Norwegian navy to prevent it from assisting Napoleon against Britain. This led to the Gunboat War, in which Danish gunboats fought against the British navy until 1814, though major engagements ended after the last Danish frigate was captured by the Royal Navy at Lyngør in 1812. It was amidst the chaos that Song Junho passed away after commanding one of the fleets, making the young Baekho inherit the dukedom from his father. Seeing that the situation was still not in their favor, Baekho decided to bring her mother back to London, her birthplace, and reside in the Mayfair area.
