Rules & Guidelines

1. Application Requirements

• This is a mature roleplay. All participants must be 18 years or older. Minors are strictly prohibited. If we discover someone has lied about their age, they will be immediately removed from the roleplay.
• First Character: Joining with your first character requires a favorite and an upvote.
• Additional Characters: Any subsequent character applications will require an adblog and at least 10 activity points for each of your existing characters without current inactivity.

2. Reservations & Faceclaims

• Reservations last for 48 hours. Ensure you complete your application within this timeframe, or your spot will be released.
• Faceclaims:
  • Given the setting of a fictional Regency England with Korean and other Asian characters, only Korean and Asian ethnicities are allowed for faceclaims.
  • Faceclaims must meet these criteria:
    • Be 20 years or older in real life.
    • Not be deceased, problematic, or explicitly against being used as a roleplay faceclaim.

3. Activity, Inactivity, & Hiatus

• Inactivity is set at 21 days. If you are marked inactive, you’ll have 72 hours to respond. Failure to do so will result in removal from the roleplay.
• If removed for inactivity, you must wait 72 hours before reapplying. Please note that during this time, your faceclaim cannot be guaranteed to remain available.

4. Conduct & Collaboration

• Trigger Warnings: Please be mindful and include trigger warnings for sensitive topics such as s*xual *ult, ra*e, su*cide, d*ath, or substance ab*se. This consideration ensures a safe environment for participants who may have trauma.
• If a conversation or topic becomes uncomfortable, members can invoke the safeword, "Rapscallions" to immediately change the subject without exceptions or questions.
• Drama Guidelines:
  • In-Character (IC) drama is highly encouraged to enrich storytelling.
  • Out-of-Character (OOC) drama is strictly prohibited.

Let’s strive to make Ephemera a safe and collaborative space. The following behaviors are discouraged:

• Godmodding (controlling another player’s character without permission)
• Facechasing (favoring players solely for their faceclaim)
• Userchasing (over-prioritizing interactions with specific users)
• Shipchasing (forcing romantic pairings without mutual agreement)

Respect your fellow players and communicate openly with writing partners. If an issue arises:

1. First, try to resolve it privately through direct and respectful communication.
2. If the issue persists or involves rule-breaking, report it to the admin team. Repeat rule violations or failure to comply with warnings will result in removal from the roleplay following a thorough review.

5. Rule Updates

Rules may be updated or adjusted as necessary. Any changes will be announced promptly to keep everyone informed.
