@markus r. Eryx inhaled, nodding. He put on a smile instead. "Right... That's... Okay..." He said softly. He stood up when the other did, the smile never disappearing from my face. "Okay. I can do that... I'm good. Let's go then. Huh?" He stuck close to the other this time, definitely not wanting to be separated right now. "Okay. I guess that's good."
He kept the smile on his face the entire way to wherever the man was leading him to. They reached a car and he hesitated before climbing in, not wanting to anger the man who had Eryx's life in his hands... Almost literally. He buckled himself in and let out a sharp sigh. "This was not how I expected grocery day to go..."
@eryx h. “Before we do anything, I do need you to calm down first…” the male said, staring at them seriously. “Don’t be obvious that you’re in danger, that just makes you more of a target.” He muttered, soon standing up from his spot. He grabbed the groceries. “You’ll need to come with me and I’ll explain everything once we’re out of ear shot of people. I won’t go into further detail until then.”
Expecting for them to follow, Markus left out of cafe without another word. They walked a couple of blocks down until they were slowing down adjacent to a black sports car. “Get in.” Markus said as the car beeped to indicate that it was unlocked. Markus put the bags in the back before getting in the drivers seat.
@markus r. Eryx's heart dropped at the sound of the other's tone. It was nonchalant and very 'oh well'-ish. He felt like he was going to be sick. He was in danger? What had he ever done to deserve that? "In danger? Who- I don't understand why... I've never done anything wrong... To anyone." He said in a quiet voice. The other was way too calm about this. It was terrifying.
"I..." Eryx was silent for a moment. "Okay... Alright... I'll come with you. I don't... I don't want to die..." His blue-green eyes staring into the dragon's. There was fear in Eryx's eyes, it was far too obvious.
@eryx h. Markus’ oddly beautiful dragon eyes stared sharply at the other. They had no room for commands but… Markus should give them a quick run down. “Even if you don’t trust me right now, I need you to listen.” He said, first and foremost. “Your life is in danger and I’ve been watching you for hours now… “ the dragon said in a low tone, simply looking down at his sharp nails as if what he said wasn't important.
“You need to come with me, whether you like it or not. So I can figure something out to keep you alive.” He said with a jaded tone, barely anything there. “And that’s because I let so be… Instead of just plucking you off like an animal in the streets…”
@markus r. Eryx fell silent after that. Confused and wondering what the hell was going on. He kept following the other, afraid something was going to happen if they got separated. Eryx decided he wasn't going to question the other's orders and nodded, following him towards the cafe.
He followed the man inside and let out a soft sigh. He noticed the guy looking around and followed him to the table. Hesitant to sit with him. But eventually he gave in and sat down, looking at the man. "Are you going to answer my questions now?"
