Jackson watched how the other was frozen and how he the nurse was staring at him, he didn't know why he was being looked at like that but it was something that he knew felt slightly unnerving. He cleared his throat he wasn't sure what to do in this situation but he didn't want to turn around and have this whole thing last forever considering he did also have plenty of work. "So how do we do this?" he asked curiously not sure what he was supposed to do, he didn't even recognize the male in front of him he seemed stressed and he thought that this was supposed to be a relaxed visit unless there could be something deeper to which he has no idea, he had other things to worry about.
@[2H] Jackson It was a hard day at the clinic. There had been a minor riot during lunch and it led to many injuries. Some of which required surgeries and other's that required cast and numbing shots. And other medical treatments that Mark wasn't capable of administering himself. He instead had been given the task of completing the staff check ups. Just too keep things moving along so the doctors wouldn't have to fix up the students and still do the check ups afterward. So far everything went smoothly. And after walking out one of the teachers. Mark went back to the exam room with a smile that faltered as soon as he saw who his next patient was. Mark couldn't take his eyes off the other man, frozen in the moment.
@[N+] Mark Jackson had been notified that he was due for a check up, he had been dodging it now for a week as his duties had kept him well busy. He was a busy man since he started working as the vice-headmaster, but that was no drama for him as he had liked the busy schedule, it never kept him too far away from amused. He had started walking towards the clinic wondering if he was going to bump into anyone he knew that made him smirk a little and then he pushed the door open, it was quite and looking around he saw no one in the office, his brow knitted into a frown as he walked to the counter pressing the bell to alert that he was in the clinic, that was if there was actually anyone here.
@[N+] Mark He takes pride in a great many of things. His intelligence, for one, is something he holds to a higher esteem, as well as his ability to read others like a summarized versioned of a tedious novel. His work as a nurse, however, is something he merely came to terms recently. The years spent studying pre-medicine only to take on the position as a school nurse was not how Yibo saw himself utilizing the gained knowledge. But, like many things of late, he accepted it quietly and did what was necessary effectively. One thing that Yibo could not calmly work through, however, was interacting with other people. His co-workers were a sore spot of idle interest but no motivation to neither speak to or form a relationship with. As his focus extended beyond the paperwork in front of him, Yibo considered the nursing assistant whom he spent a great majority of his time with. The man was younger than him by a few years, and they worked well enough together, but of late Yibo had the insistent itch that the man, Mark something, had wanted to speak to him.
Aside from the fleeting conversations and direct orders to do something, Yibo made no effort to get to know the latter. Initialing his signature and file away the completed documents, Yibo had readied to stand when a sharp knock sounded from the door before it was opened. Looking over his shoulder at the younger male, Yibo blinked at the question. He pressed his lips together in thought, and narrowed his eyes slightly. "I suppose I would."
@[N] Yibo Mark hadn't been working with the nurse very long. It was the reason he didn't make much effort to get to know the other man. Outside of the requirements of his job. But he was curious about the other, how he became a nurse, how he ended up the academy. But he couldn't bring himself to ask those questions without knowing the other male better. He tried to think of a casual way to bring them closer but everything seemed forced. Finally one day while he had managed to finish inventory before midnight and the nurse seemed to be the only other person left in the office he decided to ask him out to dinner. He entered the office after a soft knock. "Would you like to get dinner?"
@Key Mark had to admit he didn't think he could handle it. He knew that this wasn't a regular school where punishments consisted of after school detentions and strenuous labor. This was a place where occupants were treated even worse that criminals and experienced unimaginable things. Or so Mark had heard. He had seen quite a few patients who had met with a punisher and each of them seemed worse than the last. He wouldn't be surprised if they had even killed someone before. Mark wasn't ready. But he wasn't going to let Kibum think he was some weak heart kid. "Yeah I'm ready KiKi." Mark retorted rolling his eyes at the sweet name. The smile Kibum wore was unsettling and Mark wanted to ask if he enjoyed causing others pain. But he wasn't sure he wanted to know the answer to that question.
@[N+] Mark By the time Mark finished 'babying' the victim, Kibum had pretty much fallen asleep against the clinic wall, finding this job to be rather dull in comparison to his own job. There was no loud noises, there was no interrogations, and there was no general excitement charging the air. It felt stale. "Huh, what?" Jolting from his mini-nap, Kibum pushed himself from the wall and stretched his stiff limbs, "We're ready to go have some fun now?" Yawning to finished his statement, he casually threw his arm over Mark's shoulder, letting a smirk dance along his lips, "Do you think your poor little heart can handle it, Marky-boo?" He teased, pulling his 'friend' out of the stuffy clinic and into the hallway. Something about showing his roommate his job excited him, and not in a good way.
@Key "He'll calm down, in a few moments." Mark said continuing to gently comfort the boy. Sure enough his breathing regulated and besides a few infrequent whimpers he was calm. Mark took the bandages from Kibum and looked the boy over knowing he wouldn't tell him where his injuries were on his own. It was one of the hardest parts of helping those who had been abused or taken advantage of. Mark touched gently on the boy's waist and watched his face as he winced. He repeated the same motion to his shoulder and the uncomfortable expression returned. "Try not to be too active for the next week. It aggravate your injury." Mark said wrapping the bandage snugly around hte boys waist and shoulder. Once he finished he sent him out with a nervous smile. "Next patient isn't for another hour and a half. Let's go do some of your punisher stuff." Mark directed at Kibum.
@[N+] Mark Joking? Kibum’s lips pursed as he tried to think of at what point he cracked a joke, but the warning tone in Mark’s voice made him comply, “Right. Just a joke.” The victim’s hair felt soft between his fingers and it made him want to pull harder, but his little fantasy was ruined by Mark’s sudden outburst, “Damnit, Mark! You’re a nurse in training!” He recoiled his hands from the ‘victim’ while hissing, “You’re not supposed to give people heart attacks!” With an offended glare, he scooted off the bed and watched the slightly heart-warming scene as his roommate comforted the boy. He wasn’t trying to scare the student, it just happened. “Hey… hey Mark. He’s shaking really bad… can’t you like… sedate him or something?” Kibum muttered while bending down to pick up a roll of bandages from the floor.
@Key Mark couldn't believe that the other male would just blurt out such things. Causing the injured student to jump slightly and shake his leg nervously looking at Mark with an anxiousness he had lost in their previous encounters. "Haha, very funny Kibum. He's joking." Mark tried to say earning an awkward smile from the boy. Mark turned to retrieve the wound cleaner and bandages and what he saw when he turned his attention back to the room's other occupants had the objects falling from his hand. "Get off of him right now!" Mark shouted. The student broke into tears and starting heaving. Mark his teeth and shot Kibum a glare before going to comfort the boy. "It's okay, Kibum was just kidding. He was joking." Mark said running his fingers softly through the boys hair. Trying to calm him down.
@[N+] Mark The moment Kibum stepped into the clinic he was overwhelmed by the sights and scents of products that were designed to heal, not hurt, and it made him feel a little uneasy. To be fair, it had a cleaner smell than the pungent punishment room, but somehow he liked that smell better. “Cut it out, Mark, we’re not friends. You hate me.” The remark slipped from his mouth before he could stop it. Was it just him, or did the injured student look a little familiar? He pushed his thoughts aside. "We bandage him right?" Climbing onto the bed behind the injured student, Kibum wrapped one arm around the boy’s waist, and threaded his fingers into the boy’s hair, jerking his head back. “Here. I’ll hold him down- you bandage him. Sound good?”
@Key Mark wasn't exactly sure how he had ended up with his roommate trailing behind him to the clinic. It had probably been one of their late night conversations when Mark was too tired to be considerate or watch his tongue. And expended what little energy he had left on a cutting conversation with his current roommate. Mark entered the room a pleasant smile on his face as he was faced with a beaten student, a familiar face that usually ended up in his care a few times a month. Though he never told who hurt him. "Hello, this is my... friend. He's going to be here while I bandage you." Mark spoke calmly.
