@Xiah Junsu Jieun first didn't know what he meant, till she felt his thumb brushing over her upper lip. Confused she stared at him, till she finally realized that she surely had some milk there. Hell, she really should pay more attention to how she was drinking or eating. At home was no one who could see her, but here she didn't want to look like some unmannered little girl.

"Oh sorry...", she mumbled a little ashamed. "Like I said, I'm not really used to be in any company." It was a lame excuse, she knew, but it was after all the truth. "But thanks as well... would have been really embarrassing if I kept having a mustache out of milk", she laughed then softly, brushing with her fingers herself over her lips to make sure nothing was left anymore.

"Uhm by the way... do you have any plans for the evening?", she asked him then suddenly. Although she could already guess that he surely had a lot to do, she was softly hoping that he maybe had time and of course the will to spend some more time with her. It was rare for Jieun to have some company and this here she was definitely enjoying.
Xiah Junsu [A] 10 years ago
@Lee Jieun It wasn't really clear to him what she meant by the feeling she described in her stomach so he didn't know how to advise her. Most felt lust or attraction towards the vampires while others felt fear which often presented in similar manner. All he could do was offer her a soft smile and hope that whatever the source that her instincts would keep her alive.

Junsu focused on his milkshake, finishing off the beverage relatively quickly as he looked out of the window. He didn't really know what to say to her and honestly didn't feel like he had to keep talking to her. There was a comfort in the silence with her that didn't bother him so he was content with that as opposed to forcing a conversation.

When he turned back to her as she spoke he chuckled softly and tilted his head to the side, he observant eyes immediately drawn to the smudge on her upper lip. "Excuse me but you have a little something here." he said as he leaned over the table to wipe it away with his thumb. "There, all better."
Lee Jieun [A] 11 years ago
@Xiah Junsu Jieun was a little surprised at first when he touched her hand, not sure what he meant with this gesture, but in the end she just smiled softly, glad that he was understanding what she meant. "I guess so.. well I know not all of them are nice, but it's still leaving a strange feeling in my stomach, whenever I see a vampire on the street", she admitted and sighed softly.

Well, it surely would be different if she met another angel, since she didn't make any bad experiences with them yet. It was hard to believe that not all were that nice like Junsu, but she was sure he said the truth about it. She laughed then softly and took another sip of her drink.

"You are the first one to tell me this. People around here always think that being brave is better than careful", she said with a warm smile, not noticing that she had left some milk on her upper lip, while she looked at the angel in front of her. Normally it didn't even matter, since he was always eating or drinking alone at her home and even though she learned some manners by table, she still wasn't that used to it.
Xiah Junsu [A] 11 years ago
@Lee Jieun The girl's story was pretty common he imagined and he could tell that she was still somewhat bothered by what she had experienced. Seeing the look on her face tore at his heart and he couldn't help but to reach across the table, gently touching her hand with his fingertips. *Such softness shouldn't have to go through this hard world like this.* he thought as he tried to give her a reassuring smile.

"They were probably hunting and those girls likely survived but I doubt it was pleasant." he admitted in a quiet tone as he rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb. "I would bet that the vampires you saw were young, most of the older ones get over joy of violence and tend to return to more solitary way of life. But they are not all like that, just like all angels are not as nice as I am."

Junsu pulled back and returned his attention to the milkshake, smiling a bit at her admittance. "The line between bravery and stupidity is a fine line so it is probably better to be on the meeker side." he said lightly. "I would take a girl who is more careful and cautious than brave and bold. You're more likely to survive."
Park Jungmin [A] 11 years ago
@Xiah Junsu "Ah nothing really... I just once met a few of them, I guess it was a group of friends or something... they didn't notice me, but they were chasing after a group of girls in the park. I was just wondering if all of them are hunting like this in public", she said and shrugged a little, not wanting to admit that she was actually pretty scared of them, since it hadn't looked like they would be careful with those women.

Quickly she drank a little more of her milkshake and tried to avoid his eyes. She didn't want to have any prejudices about any species, but with vampires it just was somehow different. She knew how cruel they could be and till now she had only seen the bad types of them, lurking around in the city and just waiting for any poor victim.

"I'm not the bravest girl around here...", she suddenly said then and shrugged a little, concentrating then fully on her drink. She hoped that Junsu wouldn't think bad of her now, but fear was often causing humans to dislike something. In Jieun's case, she wasn't hating vampires, but she wasn't liking them either.
Xiah Junsu [A] 11 years ago
@Lee Jieun Junsu took the chair across from her and sat down comfortably, as if he didn't have a care in the world. Really he didn't have that many, no real plans for the far future or even into later the afternoon. There were reasons that lead to him coming to earth, sure, but nothing that happened before told him where would or should lead. It was wonderfully freeing and if he had to be honest, he liked it.

He was sipping on his milkshake and looking out the window when she commented on his face and he snorted into it. "Well, thanks for that." he said and smiled softly to her. "Vampires are complicated though, I will be honest. They are as varied as people. There are good ones and bad ones. The problem is they happen to need human blood. Why do you ask?"

The angel always tried his best to not judge when it came to the other species. He knew that for the most part they had no more power over what they were than he did. Still, he couldn't excuse any wrong-doings based on that alone.
Lee Jieun [A] 11 years ago
@Xiah Junsu She smiled softly and sat then down on the chair. Junsu was really a gentleman, Jieun couldn't remember when the last time she met someone like him. "Don't worry, I'm always careful", she said with a wide smile, trying to convince him that she was indeed able to watch for herself.

His next words about guardian angels somehow disappointed her a little. Well, in to be honest didn't it really matter, after all did she know that Junsu already was something like a guardian angel, at least in her eyes he was. "All? Wow...", she just commented then, really amazed about it. She wasn't really fond of meeting any other creatures, even more since they surely weren't that nice like Junsu.

Sipping a little more on her drink, she smiled. "I don't think you have a baby face", she stated with a slight shrug. Of course she knew he was joking a little, but she loved to play along such games as well. "So, did you meet any vampires too I guess? How would you describe most of them?"
Xiah Junsu [A] 11 years ago
@Lee Jieun The angel flashed her a soft smile as he listened to her, feeling somewhat guilty for bringing such unpleasantness to the forefront of her mind. It wasn't something he had intended on doing but he knew that just a little bit of caution on her part could save her life some day and that was what mattered to him. Sometimes doing the right thing wasn't easy or nice and he hated those moments the most.

"I just want you to be careful, that's all." he explained and paid for his own drink before looking around for a nice place to sit. "I have seen a lot, yes." Junsu pointed to a table in front of a broad picture window and inclined his head to her as if to ask that it was suitable. If he could avoid the subject of his past, he would, but he would do his best to be subtle and kind about it.

"Guardian angels don't exist." he admitted and headed towards the table, pulling the chair out for her. "Not in the way most humans think about it anyway. As far as creatures I have met; all. I might have a baby face but I am no cherub." Junsu joked and gave her a playful wink, not really meaning anything by it.
Lee Jieun [A] 11 years ago
@Xiah Junsu Jieun looked at the angel, knowing that his words surely were true. But the young girl never really thought about it that carefully, knowing that she otherwise wouldn't be able to live without any fear anymore. A soft sigh left her lips, followed by a soft smile. "I know... sorry I guess it's only my own art of handling all those things. Otherwise I doubt I would even dare to leave my house for a short moment to get something to eat. I am weak, I know, but there is no way I could really change that fact. It's not like I could easily become an angel or a demon and seriously I'm not really fond of becoming a vampire...", she spoke then, looking at Junsu.

She hoped she didn't sound too crazy or naive and that he understood what she meant with her words. Thanking him then quickly for paying her drink, she took a few sips of it and smiled. She loved milkshakes, they always made her day even better. "You have seen surely already a lot of the world and it's creatures, right?", she asked him then, guessing it since he seemed to have quite a lot knowledge about all the things which were going on here.

"Maybe I should get myself something like a guaridan angel", she joked then softly, hoping he wasn't taking her comment bad. But silently she really asked herself, if something like guardian angels existed. Sure, for the old lady he definitely had been one, but that didn't really mean that they were existing like those in all the stories Jieun heard. "What kind of creatures have you met already?"

Xiah Junsu [A] 11 years ago
@Lee Jieun Without any hesitation Junsu gave the clerk their order and waited for the milkshake, listening to her carefully. It became apparent that she really didn't have any idea what she meant to himself and other creatures. She didn't understand the world that they both now lived in was dangerous for her and that there was much to fear.

"You are still acting like humans are the only ones on this earth." he said softly and looked at her, biting his lower lip as he weighed his next words carefully. "None of what you said matters to demons, vampires, werewolves, or even angels except the part about you living alone; that just makes you a better target."

Junsu smiled as the clerk handed him their drinks and he paid before handing Jieun hers. "Humans do things for reasons that you are used to but the rest do not." he continued after a moment. "They don't care about your money or your family status or anything, just that you are a female human and you are weak in comparison."
Lee Jieun [A] 11 years ago
@Xiah Junsu "I see. Don't worry, your secret is safe by me", he replied with a soft chuckle and a huge smile. She liked sweet things herself and it totally didn't matter for her if Junsu was now a boy or a girl who liked it as well, it just made him even more cute than he already was. A true angel in Jieun's opinion.

Looking at the huge choice she had, she quickly then pointed to a milk shake with strawberry flavor. Looking then at Junsu, she noticed the serious expression on his face, wondering what he actually meant by his words. She knew that not all could be trusted, but till now it hadn't been like she made any bad experiences. Maybe because of the fact, that she wasn't that often outside and mostly at home, so out of any danger to meet anyone.

"Don't worry, I'm careful. And in addition, I don't really think that anyone could have any interest to hurt me. I mean... I'm no one, without any family or any huge savings, I'm just a normal girl which lives alone", she said and shrugged then a little. "And I can take care of myself if needed. Don't worry."
Xiah Junsu [A] 11 years ago
@Lee Jieun He winked as she called him stir and stepped inside after her, chuckling a bit to himself. Having a female companion was something somewhat new to Junsu, except Jia but there were times when he forgot she was a girl, and except for manners he wasn't really sure what to do or say to her. Jieun was an unknown to him in many ways and he was concerned that he would mess up or offend her.

"I found this on my second day here." he said and again offered his arm to her. "I have a weakness for sweet things but don't tell anyone." Junsu walked up to the counter with her and looked over the menu, tilting his head in thought as he decided what he had a taste for.

"I would be careful though about going places on your own." he added, trying to caution her without scaring her. When he turned his gaze to her it was actually quite serious and he looked into her eyes to try and show her his sincerity. "Not everyone can be trusted, even all angels aren't good. I would prefer not to see you hurt for any reason."
Lee Jieun [A] 11 years ago
@Xiah Junsu It would be the first time anyone would give her a nickname, but she wasn't minding it. She looked a little around and tried to remember if she already had been here once. Although she lived her already some time, she wasn't really the type who went out all alone to explore everything, so she hadn't really seen that many places yet, except the important ones like super markets and all that stuff.

"Oh I see. That makes everything clear", she said with a smile, looking then at the building he had lead her to. It looked actually rather cute and nice, but she had definitely not been here yet. She hadn't even known that here was a place to eat ice cream. "Thank you, sir", she said with a grin, enhancing the word "Sir".

Usually she wasn't the type to quickly feel comfortable around anyone she didn't know that long, but with Junsu it kinda felt like she would know him already some time. Getting inside of the building, she looked around curiously and with a bright smile, excited somehow, since she had never really been with someone else out like this, especially not with a guy. "I didn't even know there is such a place here. I guess I should get out more often and look a little more around", she sighed a little.
Xiah Junsu [A] 11 years ago
@Lee Jieun Although she had been joking about not being able to trust an angel the words hit a little closer to home than he would have liked. The truth was that there were angels to fear because they saw all other forms of life as a waste, as if they were somehow less than themselves. Some would even go further than that but how could he tell her that without scaring her? He would just have to find the right time because not every creature with feathery wings would be as good as he and he didn't want her hurt or worse because of it.

Junsu chuckled and bowed back to her, amused by her manners. "It's a very pretty name." he said quietly. "But I think I should find you a nickname anyway; one that suits you." He already had one picked out for the girl but he didn't want to seem creepy by offering it so fast. The name just came to him as he was gazing at her and in his mind it was perfect.

"I actually live not far from here but I am very new. That is probably why you haven't seen me much." he offered as he opened the door, bowing slightly to her again. "After you, my lady."
Lee Jieun [A] 11 years ago
@Xiah Junsu Jieun smiled even more, laughing then softly about his words. She didn't really fear that he would take her somewhere creepy or something, but that he even was mentioning that he would take her only a few blocks away from her was somehow cute. "Sounds good, but anyway I don't really have another chance than trusting you, right? The world would go down if someone like me couldn't even trust an angel", she said with a slight teasing laugh in her voice.

It just sounded funny in her ears, when she thought about that she could be kidnapped by an angel. Even more, since that angel just saved an old woman from suicide. That just wouldn't really fit together. Happily she followed him, feeling more and more comfortable the more they went ahead, away from the place everyone had been staring at them. Looking then up at him, she smiled and repeated his name in her mind.

"Nice to meet you Junsu. I'm Jieun", she said then, bowing softly just as a sign of her manners. "But actually you can call me whatever you like.. I just never really had anything like a nickname or something", she said with a slight carefree shrug. "By the way, are you living here somewhere? It's just, I'm living here already quite some time but I have never seen you here before."
Xiah Junsu [A] 11 years ago
@Lee Jieun Seeing her reaction he could guess that she was putting together that angels were around more than she realized and that made him smile. But the truth was there were other creatures out there far worse than him that she couldn't see either and that worried him slightly. Sure he had just met the girl but he didn't much like the idea of her or anyone becoming the prey of a demon or vampire. He wanted to be able to protect her and let her live her life in peace but he very much doubted that he would ever be able to do such a thing. He was only one angel.

"I do know a place." he replied and grinned a bit as she took his arm, already feeling the warmth of her touch. "I am not taking you across town or anything, I promise. It's just a few extra blocks away and I hope it is enough so that we can get you comfortable again."

He began walking, placing his hand over hers on his arm and carrying on as if everything were completely normal despite the fact that they were nearly strangers. "I'm Junsu, by the way." he offered and glanced at her from the side, taking in her sweet features. "Is there something you would be comfortable with me calling you?"
Lee Jieun [A] 11 years ago
@Xiah Junsu Jieun looked around, guessing that the angel was right, but she hadn't really seen it till now like that. "Well I'm just glad I was able to help a little", she said then with a soft smile, still not feeling that comfortable with all those eyes staring at her. When she looked back at him, his wings have already disappeared, which amazed the young girl even more.

Maybe that was the reason why she hadn't seen an angel before, she didn't know that they were able to hide their wings like that. Maybe she had already met a few, but just didn't know it. But anyway, in the end it didn't really matter, after all didn't she care what race someone was.

"Yeah that would be good. Do you know any place?", she said then, nodding softly. Getting away from all the curious eyes wasn't a bad idea and Jieun would be really glad if they could go somewhere else, feeling still like some sort of criminal when people were looking at her like that. "Uhm sure", she said with a bright smile, taking then his offered arm, curious where they would go now, since she wasn't that familiar with the city here.
Xiah Junsu [A] 11 years ago
@Lee Jieun To his surprise, the girl seemed to be incredibly humble as well and that impressed him. It was rare for a human to show such compassion as well as humility and he felt a growing respect for her with each moment. "That isn't true you know." he commented and gave her a friendly smile. "Most people would just sit back and watch." He gestured around at the crowd which had slowly begun to disperse. "Like them. Just because of my wings or not, it was only you who tried to help."

Junsu noticed that the crowd seemed to bother her and that suspicion was confirmed by her question. He hid his wings again to try and at least deter any new gawkers from stopping to stare. That sort of attention was something he had grown used to since he decided to live among the humans but he could tell it was new for the shy girl. If hiding who he was protected her then it was something he would do, her feelings came first.

"I would like to get some ice cream with you but I think maybe we should head somewhere a little further away where we aren't going to be recognized." he suggested and gently tucked the strand of hair behind her ear, smiling as he did so. Junsu extended his arm for her with a short bow. "If that is a journey you are willing to make."
Lee Jieun [A] 11 years ago
@Xiah Junsu Jieun softly nodded with a smile when the old lady turned to her, not sure what she should have done else, but she was glad she felt alright or at least it seemed like it. Watching the old woman leave then, she curiously watched what she got from the angel, curious if he maybe had some sort of emergency card if anyone needed him. Well wouldn't be the worst idea, after all did a lot of people need help out here.

Looking at him then, she smiled, but shrugged it then off. "I just did what everyone would have done in my position", she said and quickly looked once again after the old lady. It felt good to know that she more or less saved a life with her interfering, at least one situation in which she had been of use. "But you aren't bad either. I have to be honest, I haven't seen an angel before in real, so... yeah that I saw you and the old woman was actually pretty more because I noticed your wings, otherwise I don't know if I would have even noticed what was happening", she said then honestly, it was the truth after all.

Sure she would have helped in any case, but often things were happening so quick, that Jieun often just didn't realize it soon enough to do anything. Playing softly with a strand of her hair, she looked then around a little nervous, still not liking the fact that people around were still staring at both of them. "Uhm, would you maybe like to have some ice cream or something and get somewhere, where people don't stare that much?", she asked him then, curious if he even was up to spend some time with her or if he had already other duties to follow.
Xiah Junsu [A] 11 years ago
@Lee Jieun "Is there somewhere we can take you?" he asked the older woman as she stepped back and he looked into her eyes. Whatever plans he had before didn't really matter in comparison to her well-being, even if she seemed exponentially better than when they had started. It was almost as if a weight had been lifted off of her shoulders and he felt proud that he had been able to help in such an unusual way.

She shook her head and patted his cheek, to which he chuckled. "No, angel." she replied and then turned to the younger woman, offering her a smile as well. "Everything is going to be fine now. Thank you both for your help."

The woman began to walk away and Junsu called after her, handing her what looked like a card. "In case you ever need me." he said. "I will be there." She smiled again as she continued her journey and this time he let her go before turning to the younger. "You are pretty impressive yourself, miss."
Lee Jieun [A] 11 years ago
@Xiah Junsu Not sure what she should do or say more, she was standing there for a moment and looked around a little unsure. Maybe this was the best point for her to just leave and not cause any more trouble, although... actually she didn't really cause any trouble, right? Looking at all the people which were staring, she just sighed softly and frowned a little.

Seriously, how were people even able to stare like that? She would never dare to do such a thing, simply because it was just impolite and not fair. Jieun hated it to be watched by so many people and made a few steps back while she tried to brush her hair a little more into her face, like she tried to hide behind it. This was as well one of the reasons why she usually didn't mind other's business, but in this situation she just couldn't just walk away and act like nothing had been.

Her gaze turned then back at the angel, looking at him a little unsure about if she should leave now or not. The old woman seemed to need him more than anyone else at the moment and she was really amazed, that he just took the opportunity to help her and even care for her, although she was someone foreign.

Xiah Junsu [A] 11 years ago
@Lee Jieun The woman slowly began to calm although the tears didn't stop and she reached for the angel, hugging him tightly. At first Junsu was just as surprised as he had been when she started hitting him but found he preferred the embrace. He wrapped his arms around the woman and held her close, rubbing his hands up and down her back despite the crowd of onlookers that had come to gawk at the scene.

He had half a mind to tell them to go away since it was a seriously private moment for the woman that just happened to take place in public but he didn't want to disturb her. Junsu had never been able to refuse someone in need, whether it was because he was an angel or something else he couldn't tell. Not that it would really change things anyway.

It was then that the girl who had come to help him apologized to the woman who nodded thankfully in return. Junsu smiled at her and winked as if to say that it was just the right thing she needed to hear, even if she didn't know what for. More and more he was impressed with the human; it seemed she had a very singular soul.
Lee Jieun [A] 11 years ago
@Xiah Junsu Jieun was first totally confused when the old lady started to hit her as well, she just didn't understand why and how the old woman could do such a thing, although both of them just wanted to help her. As soon as the attacks started to stop, she dared to look at the old lady again. She wasn't quite getting what situation this here was, but as soon as the young male spoke, she finally realized.

The old lady wanted to kill herself! Jieun's eyes widened softly when she realized it, feeling more than sorry for her, why ever she wanted to end her life. No one should have the feeling of doing suicide, no one. But she wasn't really able to say or do anything, she was just standing there, watching the angel how he tried to calm her and convince her that she still had a reason to life, although she actually wanted to be of any use as well.

A soft sigh left her lips, while she decided to stay out of the talk of the two of them, since she guessed that an angel was pretty more capable of convincing anyone to continue his life than she was. As a human, Jieun knew that she wasn't really powerful or anything and usually she knew when it was time to just let others do the work and keep quiet for a minute. "I'm sorry", she just said towards the old lady, although she wasn't that sure for what exactly she was apologizing. Maybe that she didn't realize earlier what was going on or that she almost yelled at her that this guy just wanted to help her.
Xiah Junsu [A] 11 years ago
@Lee Jieun There was a split second of hesitation on the part of the woman and slight confusion on his as another female entered the equation, seemingly on his behalf. It didn't last long though before the woman began hitting both the newcomer and the angel, tears beginning to stream down her aged face. All Junsu could do was gently pull the younger to him and shield them both with his wings.

"Thank you." he whispered to the girl and gave her a sad smile, holding her until the assault started to weaken. In that instant he knew what had happened and that the woman's attempts to cross the street had actually been something worse. There was a desperation and woe coming from his attacker that he hadn't recognized before that completely tore at his heart.

He turned, carefully putting his defender aside before talking to the other. "Death isn't the answer." he said quietly and reached out to cup the woman's face, wiping her tears with the pad of his thumb. "The loss of your life will do no great good for anyone, nor will it ease your suffering. Hell is very real and I do not think you will find comfort in it's warm embrace."
Lee Jieun [A] 11 years ago
@Xiah Junsu It was a really a wonderful day outside, a day in which Jieun barely could spend just inside of her little apartment. The sun was finally giving some warmth again, perfect to get out and just walk along the streets a little, maybe even getting some ice cream, after all had it been ages since the last time she had been able to eat some.

Looking around with a soft smile and watching other people doing their business, she finally stopped then by her favorite ice cream shop, but didn't came that far to finally order something. Maybe it had been just by accident that she turned around, but right when she looked to the street, she saw something she didn't really believe she would see ever in her life for real. Wings were everything which caught her eyes first, that this male was saving someone, she first didn't really realize. Just a few seconds after, when he really managed to save that rather old looking woman, she realized what actually happened right now.

While other people were just staring and the old woman suddenly started to beat him up with her purse, she just tilted her head in confusion, quickly getting then over to the other side of the street. Actually she wasn't the type to really intrude, but she knew as well how bad other creatures got treated those days, simply because humans were just too scared of their powers. "Miss, stop beating him, he saved you life", she said quickly and stepped in between of the two of them, her hands being in an defensive posture. She doubted that this woman really knew what happened, she guessed actually that she surely hadn't even noticed that she had been in danger.
Xiah Junsu [A] 11 years ago
@Lee Jieun It was another glorious day with the sun shining brightly over head and Junsu had every intention of enjoying it to the fullest. He had been thinking of grabbing some snacks at the cafe along the way and then heading to the park to play football with some of the guys. Perfect days were too rare to let them go to waste, even in his long life. To some it might not be much of a way to spend their time but to him, it was almost like heaven.

He was passing by the little shop when he noticed an old woman stepping out into the crosswalk, despite the glaring sign that told her to stop. Just at that moment a blue sedan came barreling down the street and the driver was only looking at the traffic signals. He already saw the tragedy playing out in his head and he couldn't let that happen.

With an unfurling of his silvery wings he flew towards her and scooped her up into his arms protectively just in time as the oblivious river sped past. *Crisis averted* he thought and set the woman down, giving her a soft smile and a bow. Only as soon as her feet touched the ground she him and began beating him with her purse. The astounded angel held up his arms defensively to block the blows, completely at a loss.
