Amber sat in her room thinking about the memories she had with this place. She met so many people and she couldn't think of any place she would rather spend her days as a performer other than this circus.
Amber hummed to herself, looking at nothing but the plain ceiling of her room. She didn't know what the tune was about but she vaguely remembered someone was singing it to her. The song entertained her during quiet times like this.
@Tao "It's just the frosting and I still have a lot of cake in the fridge." Amber's brightened mood dampened a little. Instead of cheering up Tao, she made the situation worse. "Sorry."
@Amber Tao froze. Did she just...he brought a few fingers to his cheek and brushed away some of the frosting. He looked at her and frowned, "What was that for? You just wasted good cake."
@Tao The animal trainer narrowed her eyes at Tao. She didn't like it one bit when her friends are sad. She had enough of it. An idea struck her that made her smile. Grabbing a handful of icing on her plate, she touched Tao's cheek and smeared it.
"Bored... it's hard to connect with people for some reason." She confessed. "I wanted things to be the same but that would be a dream. Things were a lot different." Amber missed the partying and performances. "I was also busy with personal stuff."
"It does," he agreed. "It's nice being single." When Amber pinched his cheek again he chuckled, "You can pinch them just don't try and pull them off deal?"
She sat beside him and patted his back with a cheerful smile. "Being single has it's perks^^" Amber impulsively kissed his cheeks and cooed. "I really can't resist the cheeks Tao. What am I gonna do?" She laughed.
Tao shook his head and finished his cake, "Nope. Not one person here has caught my eye. I think it's for the best though." He smiled softly as he stared at the floor.
"Really?" It was such a surprise for Amber. Most of the people she knew around the circus liked someone... Well... other than her, she didn't expect Tao was also the same. "You really don't like anyone?"
"I hate you for being too cute..." She joked and kept pinching his cheeks. "Bummer you're not into girls... you're cuteness is definitely a plus." She grinned and finally let go. Amber left him alone for a moment to take a bite of her cake. She hummed in delight to see that it was another successful creation.
@Amber "You're a really good cook!" Tao smiled and ate some more cake. Just as he swallowed and was about to put more cake in his mouth Amber attacked his cheeks earning a small whine from the panda.
"When it's cake, I make them personally." She raised a brow and smirked before she poured some tea. Seeing Tao enjoying her cake, she couldn't stop herself and squeezed his cheeks. "So cute!"
@Amber A small squeal of excitement was heard when Tao got the cake. "Xiexie Jiejie!" he thanked he before digging into his cake happily. It was moist and sweet in his mouth. He smiled and continued eating, "This cake is really good. Did you make it yourself?"
Amber sliced a large piece of the cake and placed it on a porcelain plate and served it to Tao. She prepared some tea while watching Tao devour the cake. She smiled at his enthusiasm with her food.
