The elder nodded at what Chanyeol had said, completely willing to try anything that would have a possibility of making him better. "Then let's go. You lead the way, Yeol." Heechul Swung his legs to the side of the bed, before planting his feet on the floor and standing up.
"Hyung, lets got out to the garden to get some fresh air. You need some of that it'll be good for you." Chanyeol played with the straps on his backpack anxiously peeking up at Heechul. He wasn't sure if anything he was doing would make the other feel better but he was determined to try. He had been shopping and the breeze outside was perfect, just what Heechul needed.
Heechul listened intently to the taller boy's words as he processed what the latter was saying. "Drag me out, do whatever you think is best for me, because I obviously can't do it on my own." The elder knew that he was most certainly not living his life right. In fact, he had never lived it right. He greatly needed someone to lead him in the right directions. So far Heechul had been blindly driving his life towards a lonely dead end, and if he kept going in that direction, then the outcome would most certainly not be a very good one.
"I just... want everybody in the tent to be ok. That includes you." Chanyeol paced the floor, "If you moping around in your room I'll have to try to bring you out you know." Chanyeol rubbed the back of his neck, "I wouldn't bother you if you don't want me here. I just want you... to be out an about more."
Heechul sighed at the younger's comment. Although he felt it was nice that Chanyeol had concerns about him, Heechul still wasn't too fond of the idea of having someone fret over him. He was an adult, and he felt that he didn't need to be watched over like a child. "What about me worries you so much, Yeol?" The elder man cocked his head as his eyes set on Chanyeol's, awaiting a response.
"HYUNG. Stop I'm not like that, "Chanyeol fanned his hand trying to stop the thoughts that were forming in Heechul's mind. Chanyeol took off his backpack. "Hyung I just want t-to see if you were okay. I'm... I worry about you sometimes." Chanyeol twiddled his thumbs. When Heechul had first come in the circus, Chanyeol had promised to look after him, now he felt he wasn't doing his job. He was regretful.
"So are you implying that if I were asleep, you'd just be in my room watching me sleep until I woke up?" Heechul questioned as he sat up and propped himself up against the wall."Nah, far from busy. I've just been cooped up in here all by myself." The elder shrugged, "And I was just thinking about... Stuff."
"Well, if i would have knocked I could have woken you up if you were sleeping..." Chanyeol shut the door behind him walked over to Heechul's bed, "I didn't want to bother you if you were sleeping hyung. Sheesh." Chanyeol ruffled his hair tucked his thumbs beneath the strap of his backpack. "So what's up. I feel like i haven't see you in days... were you busy, what were you thinking about??"
Currently laying in his bed, daydreaming, Heechul had no plans on having visitors over in his room, so it was quite a shock when out of the corner of his eyes he saw someone enter in his room. The man turned his head to see who the person was, and when he figured it out to be Chanyeol, a small strike of curiosity struck a chord within him. "Yah, do you not know how to knock? It's a bit rude to walk on into someone's bedroom like that." He chastised, trying to seem stern even though there was a light teasing tone lacing his words.
It was that time of week again, where Onew would go around and gift his performers for putting up with all of his whining and griming and cranky spirals... Every time the circus shifted positions it was something he did to thank them for their participation and tolerance of his sometimes odd and bothersome behaviors. He placed the music box on the mat in front of his door, the little note pink and sealing his chicken scratched note partially. "Thank you - Jinki" was all it read, but he felt satisfied about his hand made gift, hoping he would enjoy it.
Taeyeon walked into the room with a bunch of papers in hand. She walked up to the nearest wall and took one of her posters, pinning it on the wall. It read 'Onew is a big banana head! Remember to take his cookies when you see him!' Taeyeon didn't even know what the poster meant, but she was really bored and needed something to do. Humming to herself, she skipped out.
Patting Kira's head lightly, Onew slopped off in his bare feet and overalls to the performing tent where he would set up everything he would need to hopefully relieve some of the burden Heechul was bearing. Every two seconds he glances over his shoulder to make sure the older man was following, not wishing to lose him.
The older man nodded his head in understanding as he scooted towards the foot of the bed with the kitten in his arms. Heechul planted his feet and stood up, turning to the ringleader for further instruction.
"All right!" Onew chirped, getting off the bed. "We'll need to head on over to the performing tent, though... We'll need a lot of space," he said, nodding as he planned it out in his head.
"Why not? It couldn't hurt." The elder agreed as a small smile, trying to show Onew that he kind of liked the idea of trying anything new. For if something had a possibility of wiping the darkness that loomed over his mind for even just a mere second, then Heechul would be more than willing to do it.
"You want to try something fun...?" Onew suggested, sitting up and thinking of something he'd done long ago that had helped take his mind off things. "It's not anywhere near meditation but it sure as hell makes me smile," he said while rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.
Heechul heaved a boisterous sigh and shrugged his shoulders, "I've tried meditating, and I doubt a vacation would do any good. I'm pretty much dwelling in my past mistakes, and there's nothing I can really do to clean the soiled basin that my soul rests in." The elder held the soft kitten close to it's face. A small smile formed on his lips as he felt the silky fur rub up against his cheek, tickling his pale white skin.
"It is easy to lose oneself in the circus, and I'm not speaking about getting lost in the tent," Onew said as he cast a glance to the fire manipulator. "Perhaps you should consider a vacation...? A trip to somewhere peaceful...? Have you tried meditating in the garden?" he suggested, wondering if there was any way to help him.
"I guess so." A breathy chuckle escaped from the elder's lips. He really had no clue why he was admitting such things to another person, but Heechul figured if he could trust anyone, then the number one person would be the ringleader. Although he really didn't know Onew all that well, he could still sense a trusting and caring aura illuminating from his body. "Ahh, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I honestly feel a bit lost in the circus these days... I just kind of need my own pixels to be by my side, it seems." Heechul broke the short silence with another admittance, that had floated out of his mouth on a quiet breath of air.
It was quite deep... What Heechul was saying. Onew understood it. Being in the circus he'd obviously strayed far away from the mould of society but even in the circus there were rules and he wondered if Heechul was also speaking about that. With a thoughtful sigh he leaned backwards on the bed, observing the ceiling. "That's... Very... Different," he admitted, pretty impressed.
Heechul nodded, "Yes. But, the thing for me is, I don't want to conform to the change, and if it's possible for me to, I won't. I don't see why I have to play by the rules of society or the views of other people. I've always lived that way, and now I finally realize why my life picture has always been so distorted... So.. ed up." The elder finished off with a sigh, the pad of his thumb now stroking the kitten's button nose.
Onew was listening intently. Turning away from the screen to focus on Kira, petting his soft fur with a finger lightly as he absorbed what Heechul was saying. "So it's kind of like... One thing always effects the other, no matter how big or small...?" he asked cautiously, unsure if he was going on the same path as the other.
"You see, every little pixel makes up a larger image, it makes something beautiful and complex. As do the cells in a human body, or all of the people and things that make up this world. Even my fire, every little bit of aura and power that I put into creating the flame makes something complicated that no one really understands how." He paused so that the other could process what he was saying, "But, if something.. Something even as small as a pixel shifts, then the image is distorted. When something shifts, all the other things that make it whole have to conform to the change to make it normal again." Heechul explained, stopping for the younger if he had anything to say or ask on what the elder was talking about.
Jinki tilted his head to the side, observing the show (or trying to) the way Heechul was. Slowly he thought he began to see a fragment of what was running through his hyung's mind. "Why's that?" he asked, still concentrating on seeing it differently.
The elder chuckled, "Y'know, to be honest, I really haven't been paying all that much attention to what's been going on in the show.." The elder admitted as he continued to pet Kira, "I've actually been more entranced in the pixels and things that make up the whole image."
The ringmaster giggled lightly and took a seat next to Heechul, eyes fixed on the screen. "Hey, is that the show where they all go nuts for balloons?" he asked, seeing the little figures run around the screen with slingshots in their hands.
"Just watchin some cartoons and keeping to myself." Heechul replied with a shrug as he scratched the top of Kira's head. The elder picked up the ginger feline and held him in his arms, cradling the kitten like a small infant.
