Real Time Chat in Rooms

New update today for something I've been wanting to do for a while here and that's for real time updates in roleplay rooms for everyone who is a participant of a roleplay. I basically just took my work on chat rooms from Asianfanfics and incorporated aspects of it in every room including the counter to let you know how many people there currently are in the room with you and real time updating of room messages without you having to refresh the page.

It's not fully complete since incoming messages don't currently have the "Reply" and "Trash" links yet since they were a lot harder to activate real time features for but I'll try to work on the "Reply" link when I find more time.

Other than that, my primary worry is that the feature might interfere with posting messages for members with older browsers or browsers that don't support this feature. If you're having problems posting because of this change, let me know in the comments below.

wait bruh it only selectively updates on live chat now is it only showing the posts of those that are currently on live chat in the live chat or is my connection just y or something because that'd mean we're missing in live chat :' D

Is there any way to reduce the battery drainage? Im on max power saving but my battery is still depleting quickly

this is, in parts a great idea, will most definitely take some getting used to, but the biggest issue seems to be that not all roleplays or rooms are fitted for real time chat.
I'd suggest you, if possible, make it a setting the admins can adjust for each room, to enable or disable real time chat! that way the most people will be satisfied.~

i'm grateful for the update but i mean, it just doesn't make sense. the more active rps are just one big group chat with hundreds of people so it goes really fast and there's no point in talking because by the time you send it, the chat will have already changed. it's an interesting idea but i just don't think it's suited to rpr. if people want to talk like that, they can just go on any social media. rpr's main purpose is to allow people to roleplay, not to have this one huge group chat. it's like spam in every room.

is it just me or it doesnt autorefresh the chats anymore , even in live chat :(
or does it only work for mobile phones

okay, i'm so sorry for all the comments. i was just wondering, is there a way to make it so that live chat always updates with everything, even if the other people aren't talking using live chat? because right now, live chat only shows me certain posts. i need to refresh it to see most of them, and i'd really like to see every post using live chat.

it'd be great if you kept the multiple character feature where you don't have to constantly change it for each reply in the non-live version as well.
