There was no food here. And he was seriously starving. Feeling all hope loose, Luhan was about to walk out of the restaurant when he heard a noise. It was subtle yet with the quiet atmosphere even a pin drop would be heard loud and clear. Gripping the wooden bat with both of his hands, he walked towards where the sound came from. His steps were a bit slow, taking caution in whatever created that noise.

Deep inside, Luhan didn't want to see a zombie. But maybe he hoped to high. Or maybe not.

He reached the place where the sound came from. Instead of seeing an infected person, he saw someone eating peaches from a can. He was more than happy that he got to see someone

Minzy rummaged through the back of the restaurant looking for anymore scraps. She had picked up most of the leftover food and sighed when she found nothing else. Despite it not being much it was good enough for the next couple of days, if she even survived that long. She shook the thought of dying out of her head. You can't think about that. She thought.

Her stomach growled softly and she reached into her bag and took out a can of peaches she had found. When she found all of the canned fruit and vegetables she had almost cheered with joy. Canned food was a luxury she hadn't had in weeks, let alone canned fruit. She picked at the tab then started to pull of the lid as quietly as she could. It was no use as it practically echoed through the building.

She shrugged and began eating the peaches, not realizing someone very alive and non-zombie was in earshot. As she ate she started recalling her days. The days before the outbreak. She'd had plenty of friends, a job she loved, and a loving family. But out of all of them only a couple people she knew were alive for all she knew.

One of those being her brother and then her bestfriend. She had seen neither so far.

But that was about to change.

Life was going downhill ever since the outbreak happened. It really was. Instead of normal people walking around the mall, you would see decaying corpse on the ground and zombies creeping around. It was hard to cope up in the new environment, where you have to scavenge food and find shelter that isn't crawling around with the infected ones. You have to be brave to face what's coming at you when you walk out that door. Because when you step out, anything could happen. Luhan knows that. He lived to see it fall down and was living to experience the post apocalyptic hazard.

Fixing his bag on his back, he walked down the deserted street that was once filled with people merrily walking around. It pained him to think about living people, yes but he couldn't stop but to reminisce about it once in a while. Sometimes he would wonder what happened to his friends or the people he saw walk around the streets every time he went out before. He would wonder where they are and how they are doing, if ever they are still alive. Clouded in loneliness, for once in his life, Luhan actually longed for a company. Not the disgusting, decaying zombies as his company but an actual human that wouldn't try to bite you. He would want that.

Walking a little bit faster, he gripped the handle of his bat on one hand while the other combed through the brown locks of his hair as he heaved a sigh. The only reason Luhan went out was the fact that he was hungry. His stomach was growling for the past few hours now and he still haven't found any decent food he could actually eat.

Fortunately, he saw a restaurant ahead and a clear path towards it. Running towards the abandoned and wrecked building, he let himself in, his defenses heightened as he scoped the room. As soon as he saw it was clear, he relaxed a bit and started to look around the room. There was nothing much on it, just turned tables, shattered glasses and garbage piled around.

Sighing in frustration, the latter continued to look around for some food to eat, his stomach growling in response.
