■ Cathedral

@Choi Junhong Minzy watched the boy go. She immediately wondered about him. Yes, he seemed to be a bit of a jerk but still, normal humans were uncommon. And the fact that he looked so young? It couldn't help but make her feel bad for him. It made her worry about him.

That was one of the things she hated about herself. Too much sympathy and empathy. Too caring her family would say if they ever happened to pass a homeless person, and she would simply direct them to her hospital and tell them to tell the front desk she sent them. Especially when it came to those younger than her. It could come in handy though. It made people believe she was a good enough person. But it wasn't the trait you wanted in someone when they had to fight. When they had to kill.

And then there was her curiosity. She at least wanted to know his name. To have some identification towards him. To not be regretful if he happened to die the next day and she didn't even have a name to remember him by. Her greatest strengths during the normal days. When zombies didn't exist. Were now her greatest weaknesses. She sighed then started following the boy out.

Before she left she glanced at the other male. And thought if he would feel the same thing. So she took a breath. "My name's Minzy but some call me Zy, coming?" Before he could answer she went through the door and followed the teen.

"Wait!" She said and ran up to him, grabbing his hand and looking around and making sure nothing was coming. "You're a civilian aren't you? I know this is silly but...what's your name?" She stared intently at him and waited for her answer.

@Kim Sunggyu Minzy stared at the male in wonder. It was weird to her. Most people would jump at the chance of getting new supplies or having them bandage them. But he-this random person- decided that she couldn't help him?

It would have been fine if she wasn't a nurse. It was her job to help people. It's what she did best. And if they hadn't said such things. She glared at him forming a thin line at his tone. She scoffed then downed the rest of her water in one go. Screw this she thought. She put the canteen back in her bag and tried to close it only to have her accidently drop it, medical supplies running across the floor from the bag.

Minzy had stolen the simple basics like bandages, things to clean wounds with, and bandaids. But she also stole things like pain pills, energy pills-which had been one of her only sources of energy, vitamins, anesthetic in needle form, and a few shots of morphine.

When most saw what she had in that bag they immediately questioned her. But it was always the same answer. The hospital or the pharmacy. They usually didn't believe her. I mean who would when a girl carries three first aid kits? Not to mention energy bars for days to come and some canned food from the hospital.

Hey, being a nurse ment you knew what you were looking for in any place even remotely medical. She just happened to know where they were too. She heaved an annoyed sigh and ignored the male in front of her and turned her back to him, bending down to grab a few needles of morphine that had escaped and flick them to make sure the hadn't broken. She then stuffed the rest of her things in the bag, including the red first aid kit that had slid out enough just to be in view. When she zipped the bag shut she noticed it seemed just the tiniest bit lighter. She looked across the floor for the thing she had forgot to grab.

She was too late to however to grab her ball made of rubber bands that-surprisingly- landed at the unknown males feet. She looked at it then at the man. She held out her hand. Silently asking for the ball back. She didn't plan on talk anytime soon and didn't have any patience left from their comments to not snap at them if she did. So it was probably the best to utter as few words as possible. "Please?"

The bullet had been a narrow miss; Sunggyu lowered his weapon, his hands slightly shaky. The recoil impact should've been nothing. He was proficient enough to wield the heaviest of firearms... /was/. Whatever he was injected with back then in Grautaz, it was going to prove fatal if they didn't find the cure soonㅡif he could no longer shoot properly, he's as good as dead.

Sighing, he only gazed upon the large cross on the wall. The boy had not said anything, and so he nearly ignored him as well. It was duty to save lives, and another thing to cultivate any kind of bond in this kind of environment. When you've watched a lot of people turning to monsters, you don't want any of your friends to be on that list.

Which was why, looking at it this way, he was better off alone than not.

Alert for any sounds, he slowly walked to the front of the altar, sheathing his weaponsㅡthen he heard the almost incredulous scream. Who in the world could get herself trapped /anywhere/ inside a church? Really now... he could only chuckle faintly as the woman fell down on the floor as a result of the boy opening the door of the confession room. Though the boy's words made him smile wryly.

"I've had enough problems on my hands without /this/ addition, thank you," he muttered in dismay, loud enough for the two to hear. Unmoving, he stood there in silenceㅡtrying to find what he came there for. There was silence before the woman asked, and he sighed.

If only it was that simple as just wounds...

Sunggyu's expression hardened, and he never looked at her.

"And no, miss, you cannot help me."

@Choi Junhong Minzy fell onto the door with a loud thud and groaned. She quickly shook her head trying to regain her thoughts. When she sat up she saw the unknown teenager looking down at her and then look at another unknown male. She bit her lip to stop her from saying something she might regret as he spoke and watched him head for the back of the chapel.

She rolled her eyes and even though she was grateful she still couldn't handle an annoying teenage boy. Deciding she should at least be polite she said just above a normal speaking voice "Thank you." She stood and got off of the fallen door carefully and brushed herself off.

Finally she turned her gaze fully onto the unknown male and gave him a once over. She then looked back at the teen momentarily and grabbed her bag, taking out the last of her water that sat among various medical supplies she had taken from the hospital she had been at earlier. Just as she was about to drink she glanced at the males again. Against her better judgement she decided she could at least help them if they needed anything.

"Do you guys need any supplies?" She looked around the room again still unsure of her choice. "If you guys have wounds or something I think I could bandage them.." If Minzy didn't have her family at the moment she decided she sure as neck needed some friends then.

Minzy covered her ears and ducked from where she had been hiding when she heard the gunshot. She knew she should have helped them but she was trapped. And she also had no idea what was going on. Like most of her decisions they weren't the brightest and she had decided to go to the cathedral, which had seemed empty at the time. But now here she was. Locked in some sort of closet not able to open the door otherwise she'd be attacked by those...by those beasts.

She bit her lip and weighed her options. On one hand she didn't want to owe anyone or be a damsel in distress but she also doesn't want to die in a closet from dehydration or starvation. Sighing, she swallowed her pride. "Somebody help!"

She listened but heard no response so she shouted louder. "Somebody get me the he'll outta here!" She leaned her head against the door waiting for a response and breathed heavily feeling her claustrophobia starting to take hold.

@Choi Junhong First lesson learned: never, ever, ever think you're safe in the midst of a zombie apocalypse.

Sunggyu had not expected such a young boy to execute such fast movementsㅡfor a moment, he wondered if he himself was that fast by then. It was a probability. But he was definitely not that ruthlessㅡor maybe it was just because he was trained that way, and trained to think that way.

For years, he had been dealing with corpses, and while he didn't really flinch at the sight of zombies nor mutant zombies, he shuddered mentally at the cold-blooded beheading. The blood splattered everywhere, and the cathedral was tainted with dirty bloods, even the statue of the Saviorㅡtrue, it wasn't a pretty sight to see.

Now Lord, tell me your will, he said mentally as his steps came onto a stop, his eyes meeting the boy's at first, but quickly moved to the blood-splattered statue at the sight of the movement... and his eyes widened.

"Watch outㅡ"

Too late.

The mutated creature lunged towards the boy, and he could see the panic in the other's eyes; knowing that, he couldn't expect the boy to save himself now. Hissing at the tricky situation, he pulled his gun out and aimed, just as the ugly thing emitted another screechㅡ

If he missed, the boy dies.

"Duck!"

And he fired.

@Choi Junhong Sunggyu himself actually wondered why he still go to the cathedral out of all places to go to. He ventured out alone that morning, and his purpose had been clear from the beginningㅡto find a peace of mind. His companion would worry, he knew, but he just had to do this alone.

It was between him and God. The journey of faith never stopped, but really, he wondered if humanity was being punished. The number of infected people were endless; not many could survive in a natural selection such as this. And while there was actually no need to go to the place itself, Sunggyu felt he couldn't reach Him otherwiseㅡmay his sin of doubt be forgiven.

The place had been quiet when he stepped into the yard, a long dagger sheathed by his belt, a gun on the other side. It still felt wrong to bring weapons to a holy placeㅡor what was left of it, anywayㅡbut to not bring them would be foolishness.

Carefully pushing the front door open, he peeked into the buildingㅡonly to be surprised at what he saw.

Blood, everywhere. It looked as if there had been some sort of a masacre, and funnily, the sight of the young boy wearing the mask with spikes, ready to fight without a weapon, sent a chill down his spine. He would never ever see the building the same way again.

His eyes found the daggers, implanted by the mutated bodiesㅡhe didn't look for longer than a second for fear that he couldn't take the disgusting sight. Not that he had eaten anything that morning, but still...

Slipping in, he closed the door with a faint slam which echoed in the hollow building, making the zombies turn their heads towards him, eyes empty, face disfigured.

And Sunggyu pulled his own dagger out, eyes fixed on the two while he approached the meeting pointㅡwhere all of them were at. Three daggers, two zombies and one boy.

Ill as he was, he could do this.
