@Kim Namjoon Almost doubling over in laughter Minjee and Minzy high fived eachother. Picking the little girl up she stuck her tongue out at the male. "Yeah but you still were scared~" Rolling her eyes at the wink and the smirk she hopes her cheeks didn't heat up, that is if they hadn't already from the others half ness. Watching the other she follows him, not being familiar with the new song.
Walking up besides him with the little one on his hip she tilted her head to the side, poking his chest. "What song's that?" She asked, averting her eyes from the others chest knowing what it would do to her cheeks. Leaning forward when the little girl in her arms tugged on her sleeve she made it so she could whisper what she wanted to say in her ear. Chuckling she shook her head "No we're not, sorry Minjee but I don't think your brother likes me that way." She said before tapping her nose lightly, making the pouting little girl giggle. Looking at the male she smiled. "Minjee wanted to know if me and you were boyfriend and girlfriend yet."
Rolling her eyes playfully she set the little girl down on the table sitting in the chair in front of her and playing a fame with her that she had made up when she was little. Teasingly she called out to the other "Since Minjee is so eager for us to date does that mean you're going to ask me out?~" Looking back a the other she arched a eyebrow at him in question.
@Kim Namjoon She laughed and lifted one of her legs, kicking a him but purposely missing. "Just go take your crummy shower you're too dorky for me anyways." She teased back, slightly lying because she tended to gravitate towards the dorks when it came to dating. Standing up she stretched and went out, off to play with Minjee. Sitting besides her she read the story Minjee was reading. "You can read?" Minzy asked, looking at the little girls face. Minzy knew that if he trusted her enough to leave her alone with Minjee that he must have trusted her a lot.
Smiling she chuckled when she heard the male singing and whispered to the other girl "Does your brother sing a lot?" Her smile turned mischievous as she bit her lip. "Do you want to prank him?" Minzy asked, the prank already forming in her mind. It would be a simple little prank, not one that would scare him to bad or would intentionally cause him too much scarring, just a lot of embarrassment. Quietly she whispered her plan to the other before picking her up and leaning against the wall next to the door, waiting for the male to come out.
"Namjoon are you almost done I need your help deciding on dinner!" She said, shushing the others giggles and holding in her own. Carefully she put the other down, making sure there was no sound as her feet touched the ground. They would wait for the perfect moment before they'd jump out and scare him, ah how Minzy loved her semi evil mind sometimes. After a few minutes she pressed a finger to her lips, telling the other to be quiet before she held up three fingers and grabbed the handle gently. When they finished counting down she threw open the door and they yelled "Boo!" In perfect union.
@Kim Namjoon Minzy was slightly saddened now but the others squeeze helped. Namjoons presence seemed to help in general. The fact that he listened, didn't ask questions, and supported her when she needed it made her on my like him more. Wherever she was going she knew she wanted to be by his side while going there. He was kind, smart, caring and everything Minzy seemed to need at the moment. Not to mention even though he seemed to be okay enough to take care of his sister she'd never be able to leave with that cute little girl here.
Minzy brought her knees up to her chest, resting her chin on it when he moved away. Smiling to herself at the little girl outside laughter she could feel it warm her up inside a bit. Sometimes she wished she could still be a child. Children were strong, creative, smart. Adults hardly gave them the credit they deserved.
Looking up at him she nodded before adding "Do you need help?" Realizing what she had just said she quickly tried to correct herself. "I m-mean..your injuries...d-do you need help walking and stuff?" She asked, burying her face in her knees to hide her red cheeks. Way to go Minzy she thought. Even though she liked him the thought of anything even remotely romantic was out of the question. They hardly knew eachother, and not to mention that anything could happen during. Also Minjee was out there by herself. But yet why had she still asked then?
@Kim Namjoon She couldn't help but let out a short laugh at that comment, trying to hide her face again since the redness refused to fade. Minzy hated that she blushed so easily, especially since it was in the presence of the male that was making her blush. When she listened to him speak she couldn't help but run her hands through his hair after he had, smiling at its messiness. It suited him in her opinion.
"Mm, my dad had me go to school early so I finished when I was only sixteen and then I went to medical school for three years before the hospital decided I was trained enough to be an actual nurse instead of a intern." Shrugging she sighed, sometimes she wondered that if her dad hadn't been a cop if she would have taken the road she had, the road to help people. "My dad was a cop and well..He expected daddy's little girl to follow in his footsteps." She said, explaining why she knew how to shoot a gun as well as she did. The first time she picked up a gun was when she was nine, eleven years of practice was a lot.
While her skin wasn't as marred as his she still had her own scars. But they were only from cuts and scrapes, hardly noticeable compared to his. But she had practically been trained for situations like these, survival skills was something her dad had embedded in her mind from the year her mom finally let him take her to the station. "You wouldn't believe the hell he put my late fiancee through." She said with a short laugh, remembering the way that he would twitch every time her dad moved the first time they met, as if he was reaching for a gun and was about to shoot him in the face.
Had her mom not been there he probably would have. Not to mention how her siblings just sat on the couch holding back their laughter. Frowning slightly she had to prevent more tears from spilling free. "At least you still have your sister." She said, failing a smile and her attempt to lighten the mood.
@Kim Namjoon Minzy couldn't not smile when the other smiled, she liked that about him. How even though they hardly knew eachother, how they'd probably been through most people have in years, and yet her favorite part about him was his smile. Well one of her favorite parts about him. It was weird but she never had so many favorite parts about someone than how many she had about Namjoon. He even outshined her late fiancee.
Keeping her eyes closed she hoped her cheeks hadn't turned red from the blush, that would be embarrassing. Sighing in content she nuzzled farther into his neck without realizing what she was doing until she had already done it. And cue the cheek redness. Chuckling at her embarrassment she softly whispered "Sorry...it's just..you're warm and comfortable."
Remembering what he had said to look for happiness in she sighed, the content lost from her voice. The beach brought back memories that were meant to be buried and forgotten, never to be brought back up to the surface ever again. "Namjoon...you're young..I bet you haven't even had a girlfriend yet but...how are you so mature?" She asked, looking up at the boy. He wasn't even legal yet but still whenever Minzy talked to him she felt as if she was talking to someone older.
@Kim Namjoon Wiping her tears away she nodded, it was silly to be crying in a time like this but yet she couldn't help it. Sniffling softly she buried her face in his shoulder, trying to calm her breathing as she listened to his words. Blushing slightly she thought of how and who would even be able to bring on the next generation. Would anyone really want to have that responsibility in times like these?
Sighing she looked up at him, trying to smile and nodded once more. "Happiness in the little things..But which little things?" She asked. There were plenty little things, she didn't know Which to look for happiness in.
Friendship? Love? Survival?
Closing her eyes she was able to stop any of the oncoming tears, her crying finally stopping and only the sniffles remaining. She could almost picture herself now, face blotchy with tear stained cheeks. A complete mess. Thats how most people looked like nowadays, that's how she could imagine most people felt nowadays.
@Kim Sunggyu Chanyeol could have sworn that his soul left his body, even if it were for a brief moment. With a deep sigh of relief, Chanyeol brings a hand up to his chest, taking in deep breaths to calm his racing heart. The fact that he could have died frightens him, but yet again he was grateful the other had save him.
Chanyeol would admit that he had never taken a fancy to the sight of anything too much of a gore, especially when there are humans involved. Bloody handprints and exposed organs were not exactly a pretty sight to him, in fact, it only brings everything he had just eaten that day up to his throat, begging to be let out.
A zombie was definitely one of his least favourite creatures, with the addition of their foul smell. He could easily tell if there's a zombie right behind him, thanks to the awful odour they give out. Even so, he could never bring himself to look at one straight in the face, if he did, he would most probably end up falling to the ground unconscious.
It was at that moment, however, when his senses failed him, and he would have to depend on the other male to survive. Embarrassing, but quite true, He would have to admit.
Enough told, Chanyeol gave a small nod, his dry lips as he adjusted the strap of the bag to lay on his shoulder comfortably.
He then proceeds to make his way towards the exit, making sure to avoid taking certain routes which he knows would lead to him having to pass any more of those deceased freaks.
He would have had enough dead bodies seen in one place, and he could feel the food reaching his throat already.
It was then he remembers what the other had said earlier, feeling slightly elated to be able to find a topic which didn't relate to what he honestly disliked.
Either he uses his gun and risk the other mutants closing in at the sound, or test his knife-throwing skills but risks missing the target... Sunggyu narrowed his eyes. The other was standing as still as a statue, but the shadow creeping towards them certainly was not his imagination. The way it movedㅡ
And the moment he had a glimpse of the real thing, when the light fell on it for a mere fraction of a second, there was no hiding the disgusted expression on his face. How many more of this kind still lurked around out there? Would they even survive?
Then, he realized.
By God, Sunggyuㅡstop thinking about it and actㅡ
The gun was far easier considering his own skills, but he risked their lives in this case, and since he couldn't be sure if the other could fight his way through a horde of monsters...
Two steps forward - in which he ran past the stranger - was all he took while taking a hold of his dagger and stabbed right at the almost shapeless, gooey vile creature... and he could only hope he aimed right at its head, if it actually have one.
Three other slashes he executed without thinking, and while blackened liquid poured out of the thing, he jumped back, one hand going to his chest instinctively. It was as he had thought; just a mere encounter had drained him more than he could afford.
Ignoring the almost crucifying pain inside his chest, Sunggyu turned to the male with urgency in his voice.
@Kim Namjoon She nodded, feeling comforted in his presence. But that wasn't the end of her story, the rest she would never dare tell. The images still haunted her. He was right, this did bring out the worst in humanity. Minzy only wished she didn't include herself in having succumbed to it as well. She would never tell anyone how she had to be the one to end her families lives once they turned.
She ran her hand through her yellow, blue, and red stained hair before leaning into his side. She hadn't known she was crying, the tears falling silently down her face. Her hair would be her probably permanent reminder. She hadn't told him but the paint only spilled into her hair because her mother had pushed her into that shelf, just before she dug a scalpel into her skull.
Minzy leaned her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes and willing herself to stop crying but she couldn't. "The sad thing is that if we do die and this hell doesn't stop..they'll be no one to remember us..." Even though she thought it was selfish for her to think like that she couldn't help it. No one would be there to mourn for anyone once everyone is either turned or dead. The human race would simply be a speck of dust in the wind if things continued how they did.
@Kim Namjoon She chuckled blandly and nodded. Then she looked at him and added. "Well I am technically an adult but you and Minjee...you're the ones I'm worried about having to grow up too fast.." She said. She didn't remember that day well. All she remembered was being in her home, having everything being cozy then she took a nap, woke up, and suddenly everyone was gone.
Her family, fiancee, even her neighbors..Just gone. All replaced by monsters eating people. And even though she knew she shouldn't make this assumption she thought that she probably went through alot more than Namjoon did. Then she felt the sudden urge to tell her story. Before she could stop herself she was saying the words.
"The only thing I really remember the day it started was...," She gulped, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath. "Watching my fiancee getting eaten in front of me.." She managed to keep her voice steady, how she'd never know.
She shook her head, wondering if she should continue. Sometimes times like this is when you saw the real sides of people. How she saw the real side of someone she knew her whole life. "My neighbor..could have saved him...but he..," She opened her eyes and looked at him. "He slammed the door in his face then boarded it up without a second glance."
Her eyes closed again as she sighed. "Sometimes I wonder who the real monsters are Namjoon..." She whispered.
@Kim Namjoon She smiled and ruffled Minjees hair as she passed, before whispering. "Yell if you need us okay?" She smiled at the younger before continuing her walk to the bedroom. Shutting the door, she made sure Minjee wouldn't hear their conversation. Luckily she had left her bag in there. She crossed the room and ped her bag, taking out the supplies she would need and humming softly to herself.
Then she looked down at Namjoon and said normally "Now do you wanna tell me what really happened?" Minzy had been in the hospital too long to not know when someone was lying. Whether it be about how they got their injuries or when they got thier injuries Minzy knew who was lying. She didn't care if people lied but it surprised her because Namjoon didn't seem like the type to lie.
She took his arm gently and examined the cut. Not deep like she thought which was good. Grabbing some antibacterial she looked at him. "This won't hurt a bit." She said then dripped some of it onto his cut. Then she pulled away grabbing the gauze as she said. "Sorry I lied." Minzy wasn't trying to be spiteful but she was still slightly hurt. No matter how bad it was she wanted to know, it was the only way they could survive this mess and they needed to be totally honest with eachother.
@Kim Namjoon When she heard him coming upstairs she rushed over, quickly checking him. She had just been about to go downstairs and check on him when he started coming up. "What was it?" She asked, looking at his face. She noticed the bruise and her gaze narrowed before she gasped. Minzy could spot an injury from a mile away.
"What happened to your arm?" She asked frantically, hoping that it wasn't a bite. Before she could stop herself she put down the shirt she had changed out of and reached out with the new shift now on. Carefully she tugged his hand away and examined the cut. It wasn't deep but it would still bleed and infection was always a possibility. She glanced at Minjee and partially used her body to block her view of the cut, not wanting the little girl to have the image embedded into her mind.
"Go to the bedroom and I'll clean up the cut, and don't argue." She raised her eyebrow at him, immediately going into her nurse protocol mode. She hadn't worked on anyone in awhile but her skills were still as sharp as ever. And she wouldn't be having any arguing. He needed his cut cleaned and she wasn't going to let him try to get out of it and say he was fine.
She was honestly a bit shocked with herself by how her instincts were like that but she couldn't help herself. She had seemed to make both of the others her priority when it came to medical issues. They helped her so she'd help them without hesitation. And she wasn't going to let either of them STOP her from doing her job.
@Kim Namjoon She furrowed her eyebrows but then eased when she saw the shirt. She smiled and took it gratefully. It would definitely save her a trip to the hospital and it was getting harder to find things that fit her so big was perfect. She could feel herself returning his smile and she nodded. "Thank you Namjoon." She was starting to be fond of the other if she had to admit.
Minzy worked with guys everyday so it definitely wasn't new to her when being around guys. But it was slightly different since most of the guys around her were older than her or doctors so they looked down at her, seeing her as only a child. But it felt nice here, she could tell that they didn't see her as child and she could be as independent as she wanted while also feeling strangely protected. Her fondness for those two were growing fast, especially if they continued to be this nice and comfortable it wouldn't stop growing.
Her head snapped in the direction of the bang and she was immediately on edge. The squeeze on her shoulder was barely registered as she nodded at his words. Her knuckles were growing white from how hard she gripped the shirt and she had to snap herself out of it. It was probably nothing. Right? She watched him warily before whispering. "Call me if you need me."
@Kim Namjoon Mindy couldn't help but smile more at the little girl. She reminded her so much of her own little sister it almost made her heart hurt. Almost. She was too happy to be around someone young and innocent like that to have it bother her. Most would say Minzy had always been biased to children, and they were right. Minzy loved children, hence why most of her rotations back at the hospital were at the child areas and every time one of the child specific nurses needed someone to fill in for them she'd do it without a second thought.
She glanced between the two and chuckled. She could see that they were obviously close. She also noticed that his aura was reserved. Since she had never been able to mask her feelings and thoughts she was slightly impressed, she was an open book that you only needed to take one glance at and you knew the whole story. Most would consider it a bad thing but she didn't mind, it actually helped people trust her more is she did say so herself.
She snapped out of her thoughts and shrugged at his question. "Not really," She thought about her choices. Her house was out of the question. The hospital? Her best bet at the moment. "I'll probably head out back towards the hospital and you're welcome to come with me." She offered. She chuckled and motioned towards her slightly ripped clothes. "I'm gonna have to pick up some new clothes when I get there." Her shirt was mostly intact, just slightly ripped at the bottom SO when she stretched it showed a bit of skin. Her jeans were good too but they were covered in dirt and had a few holes in the knee she would need to fix. She popped another kiwi slice into before shuffling her boots.
@Kim Sunggyu Chanyeol knew that everyone had fears, but he couldn't help but judge his own. Unlike most people, Chanyeol has never liked games that require the "catch-and-throw" rule. Each time he was invited to play a match, he ends up rejecting the offer or even feigning a broken leg or so. He just hates flying balls, especially when he thinks that they're going to end up breaking his fingers and he might never be able to compose again.
There were more things he feared, and having someone make his heart skip a beat was one of them. Whether it was for some cliché, romantic moment or even for fright, he nevers likes what comes after. It was at that moment when his fear starts crawling in, polluting his mind with wild thoughts.
However, even with the non-stop shivering and gulps, he complies to the other's words and stay still, not even daring to breathe. He could feel his palms getting sweaty and his forehead was covered in beads of sweat. Was there a zombie? A ghost? Another human? He guesses that he wouldn't be able to find any time soon.
He then tells himself that he had nothing to do at that moment but wait, for more instructions, a joke or even his possible death, he'll just wait.
@Park Chanyeol Weakness is something you should never show—for it biased every person's judgment. Knowing this, Sunggyu chose to kept what he was experiencing a secret as much as he could.
Actually, 'help' was an underestimation. He needed a miracle to survive.
Narrowing his eyes at the other's action, he couldn't help but question what was in that bag—seemed heavy. To present, Sunggyu only ever carry three weapons in his possession in one go; unnecessary additional weight would only slow him down.
"That?" He asked, blinking in a mix of disbelief and wonder. It seemed that he was in the presence of someone who thinks much in advance...
"Commendable preparations," he commented with a small smile, despite the fact that the other probably couldn't see him properly due to the lack of lighting. "Oh, I haven't had the chance to know your name—"
And just by then, he narrowed his eyes at the shadow creeping from the back of the other male.
@Kim Sunggyu Chanyeol could have sworn that he had nearly gone insane. He wasn't quite sure what the other meant by his words and just thinking about it got his head worked up. However, no matter how much he tried shaking it off, those words just seem to find it's way back, crawling into his pressured state and clouding him with questions once again. He feels a headache coming, and he finally decides to distract himself before he officially loses his sanity.
He swings his bag in front of him, reaching into it before roughly estimating the number of blades he had. There weren't many, just enough to last a month. They were all, however, of different sizes and could be suitable for different occasions.
Thus, he gives a nod as a reply to the other's question, making sure to keep his gun in his firm grip, just in case, he had assured himself.
@Park Chanyeol Persistent, this guy. Sunggyu breathed deeply, thinking what he'd do about this situation. They might have gone out to protect the ones who still survived—but so far, that was the extent of it. Staying in too large a group could be a disadvantage—and there were already four of them. He didn't know if the risk was worth its taking, especially since he realized he /himself/ was a burden with how his conditions were.
"My view is the same as yours," he finally said. "I'm just doing what I can while I'm still alive."
Oh, ambiguous remarks. Sunggyu realized it made him sound as if he was infected with the virus, too, but he really wasn't. Nor was he ill with any life-threatening disease. It was just that after what happened in Grautaz, he was infected with... something else.
He was especially trained for safety, security, even killing, but those mutant zombies were sure going to get him eventually if this continues.
@Kim Sunggyu Chanyeol has never exactly been the best of intelligence quotient. Ever since high school, not even once had he topped in class. He wasn't stupid, but neither was he an extreme genius. However, he did have just the right amount of knowledge to know what the stranger in front of him meant.
With a small frown, Chanyeol decides to glance upwards towards the ceiling instead, observing the many broken bulbs that hung from it. He had wanted to help the man that stood before him, but he just didn't know how. He may not be some specialist, but he could be of some help in another way.
"I don't want to be given help, I want to give help." He replies simply, a small smile gracing his lips as he shifted his gaze back to the other.
Chanyeol was not exactly the best to seek help from when it comes to solving problems, but he did have his strengths as well. At that moment, he knew that he couldn't possibly cause a miracle to happen. However, He did know one thing, and that was to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid, or anything that he would deeply regret in the future.
@Park Chanyeol It struck Sunggyu hard that this man actually cared - similar to that girl he met some time ago, but they have their sole difference. This man who was in front of him was way more cautious, evident by the distance he seemed to keep.
"You have great sight," Sunggyu commented, indirectly admitting to the rightness of the other's observation. "I'm afraid no one can help my condition. Not unless you're a specialist in mutating gene catalyst..."
Honestly, even then, phantom pain was spreading through his veins - which he ignored. The worst will come, and he had to make sure he went back to Taeyeon before his time was up.
"Never mind me," he continued smoothly. It seemed that they were alone for the time being. He still have a few hours, and he intended to use his time as best as he could.
@Kim Sunggyu Chanyeol took a moment to process the other's words. He could say that he was convinced yet not at all as well. It was confusing yet again noone could be more confused than Chanyeol was at the moment. He chose not to answer just yet, taking the silence as a chance to carefully observe the every move the stranger made.
He seemed to be alright, as said, but yet Chanyeol chooses to believe otherwise. He looks fine, not an injury in sight but then again they were in the dark, so that leaves that out. He sounds healthy, but Chanyeol just couldn't keep his mind at ease.
He had caught a glimpse of how pale the stranger was, and with just that one look he knew that he couldn't just turn and leave. He takes careful steps forward, stopping once he was a good distance away. He didn't want to take risks, nor do anything stupid of what sort. He just wanted to help.
"You seem a little... pale. Are you sure you're alright?" He asks, shifting slightly in hope of getting a better lighting.
@Park Chanyeol The blood had not been his own. But despite that, Sunggyu couldn't really answer the question with a straight 'yes', simply because he wasn't really alright. No matter if he seemed so.
But how to explain? The other male had taken another step forward, to which he only stayed his place as he waited for the answer to his statement which never came in the end. He wondered how the other could possibly know. Was it instinct? Or was it obvious in his own careful moves? Or was that a lucky guess?
"Depends on how you define 'alright', I guess," Sunggyu smiled wryly, though fully knowing that the other couldn't probably see it. His tone was light, but of course, his words hid his own condition.
A soft sigh followed.
"If you think 'alright' is not bitten and not injured, then yes, I am."
Momentarily, he glanced around, still alert to their surroundings. It was instinct for him to take the lead whenever there were civilians; no matter if the other /might/ be stronger than him at the moment.
@Kim Sunggyu If there was one person in the world who could never bear to be left alone after nearly fainting from extreme fright, it would be Chanyeol. He was one who, with no doubt, has the mindset of a frightened 8 year old. He may be in his twenties but he doesn't actually act like one.
He has been been told many times before that he was weak, and because of that, he starts training himself to do better. Unfortunately, his only motivation came when he ran out of food supply in the house, and had to hunt down for some in the middle of an apocalypse.
Chanyeol didn't seem to like the idea at all.
However, heading out of his comfort zone may give him a chance to find someone who could help him, that was what he had convinced himself the moment he steps foot out of his house. The first place that came to his mind was the supermarket, where food is mainly from, and that was how he had ended up there, other than for the weapons of course.
With a long sigh, he stares at the figure, soon frowning when he spots something about the stranger despite the bad lighting. He couldn't quite make out what was wrong but Chanyeol knew that something was off. He then takes another step forward, squinting his eyes for a better view with his grip on his gun tightening slightly.
Knowing that what he was doing wouldn't really solve much of the problem, he clears his throat.
"Wait." He calls out, hoping that his voice didn't sound too hoarse as he his lips.
@Park Chanyeol Well, for a former crime lab scientist like Sunggyu, it basically made no difference. These things are corpses, remains of human... only that now it wasn't the brain that controlled it. It was something else that did the controlling, and it made him wonder what it was. If only they could produce something... something that could counteract whatever it was... they wouldn't have to live in fear anymore.
But one thing remains true for him: he'd rather choose to deal with the dead than the living, and even more so the living dead. It's ironic how he seemed to sink lower and lower. Now he had to deal with these crazed mutants while he could have remained in that secluded lab somewhere in Korea, out of Jin, and live his life in peace.
It seemed that it's too late to turn back.
Sunggyu still had not lower his knife, but he did the moment the other guy lowered his gun. In the dim lighting of the place, he could only make out a little of who was standing in front of him. Mentally, he was relieved that the light was dim - not that he was in his best appearance himself.
Army pants, sneakers, and a bloody shirt made up Sunggyu's outfit, his messy brown locks completing it. Small, alert eyes, and a straight posture which showed that he wasn't at all injured - oh, but how wrong an impression could be.
"Sorry if I startle you," he said. "Just needed to make sure I don't have to shoot you down. Crazy things roams around lately."
Had the room been properly lit, the other would've seen the pale complexion that shows that he wasn't really okay, despite not injured at all... but even Sunggyu himself thought it was better left unseen.
"So... yeah. If there isn't anything else, I'll get going."
Soon Mindy began to daydream and instead of her usual day dreams, finding her brother, it was about Namjoon and Minjee. She could see how their life could be from then on. She'd be lying if she said she didn't like the idea of staying with them. She took out some pictures that had been carefully placed in the bottom of her bag. One was of her with her siblings, others were individual pictures, and the last was a picture of her whole family.
She sighed and put the picture of her whole family into her back pocket. She would only stay for a little while. Her family needed, or what was left of it, needed her. Minzy zipped up her bag and walked out of the room. She smiled slightly when she saw Minjee eating the peaches and that the spinach can was missing.
Picking up the can of kiwi she opened it and ate a slice. "So Minjee is this your first time in a long time that you've had peaches?" She asked. Her smile didn't fade for even a second as she watched the youngest. For normal people being around someone who reminded them so much of one of their passed loved ones would hurt, but not for Minzy. It reminded her of the good times, and in her opinion good times were nothing to be sad about.
@Kim Sunggyu Chanyeol was terrified. His heart nearly jumped out of his skin the moment his eyes met with flickering lights. Chanyeol wasn't quite fond of places with bad electricity, even from a far distance. However, he knew that with the presence of this other person in the room he didn't have time to even think about it.
It was then it hit him. What if he was actually talking to a mannequin? No it's moving. Or a zombie that seems human? Impossible. A ghost? His breath was caught in his throat. No way in heaven or earth is he going to die going through a wandering spirit in a broken down supermarket.
His mind was running wild, ridiculous thoughts filling his already petrified state. Chanyeol wasn't fond of horror movies, he watches them, but always ends up curled up against the sofa, wailing. If possible, he would cling onto whoever dares watch it with him. It leaves him traumatized, to say the least.
"Human. Not bitten." Came a redponse from the person in front of him.
A human. Chanyeol couldn't explain how elated he was at that moment. He could start a party right there if he needed to. With a long sigh of relief, he lowered his gun, taking a step forward to have a better view of whoever the person was.
At least he didn't look all that terrifying like how Chanyeol thought he would be.
@Kim Namjoon She returned the smile. He was incredibly nice but she didn't feel right eating his stuff, not when she could help. She shook her head and placed her back on the table and ping it. "No need I have plenty." She pulled out four cans and a can opener then placed them on the table. "Peaches, Kiwi, Spinach, or Beans." She said tapping the lids.
She handed Minjee the can of peaches and smiled at her. "You want something sweet to eat right?" She said. She winked at Namjoon then took something else out of her bag. Painkillers. "Also you might need these for your leg." She tossed them to him before picking up her bag, zipping it, and going to the room.
She looked around and set her bag on the bed. Her hair was too short to be tied up even though she had plenty of hair ties on her wrist. Her clothes were still in good shape so she didn't need to change. So instead she rummaged through her bag, making an inventory of everything she had.
Three containers of water, nine cans of food, two first aid kits, one gun, three knives, five more bottles of various medicines, and two shots of morphine. She'd have to go back to the hospital once she ran out, but that seemed like a bit of time away.
@Park Chanyeol Not even a sound. Good. So far, Sunggyu could only estimate that he was not currently in the presence of a mutant... but of course, he could be wrong.
Somewhere in there, a light flickered on and off to his annoyance - it seemed that they could be running out of electricity. Or the lightbulb finally outreached its age. But even a normal person would be annoyed with that, how annoyed could a person with OCD be? Sunggyu glanced momentarily towards the direction of the flickering light, something that could have been fatal had the other really been some sort of an advanced mutant. Though that was also the last thing he did before the light went off.
He could say later on that he was lucky, but not that time. Darkness was a disadvantage, no matter how trained he was. Slowly, he crept towards the direction of the sound he heard, holding his weapon steady. There was no doubt he would use it at the slightest hint of threat, but then he also saw the figure creeping slowly towards him and...
"Hello?"
Sunggyu let out the breath he had unconsciously been holding.
"Human. Not bitten," he added quickly, knowing it was enough information to avoid being shot ot stabbed or hit because of panic. People tend to develop paranoia over a zombie apocalypse. Funnily, he has other things to worry about more.
@Kim Namjoon Mindy giggled and complied with letting Minjee down. Before she knew it Minjee was running around and laughing. She smiled and nodded at Namjoon, grateful of the new information. "Which one's yours?" She said looking at Namjoon. She didn't want to accidentally walk into his room and invade his space.
She smiled as Minjee came back up to them running and grabbed her leg. Laughing she lowered herself to Minjees level and poked her nose. "You must like this place huh?" She pinched the little girls cheek lightly, not being able to stop herself since the little girl was so cute. She then looked around the room taking in everything. It was definitely different than the hospital whose floors and walls were all white and it was door after door of rooms, only stopping once you got to the reception desk.

"Fall back, soldier!"
She didn't know his name. The statement wasn't out of disrespect; it was the heat of the moment. His life was in danger, yet he continued to move towards his supposed "objective". There was a door before him and the SOA Operative, and there was a loud noise booming within their surroundings. It was coming from the very door he was trying to open.
"Shut up!" the man clad in a BSAA uniform retorted, looking back at the woman. "My team is in there!"
"Your team is dead, man! Don't you get it?! Can you not hear what's happening? Do NOT open that door, that's an order!"
Although she wasn't head of his unit, Sable Cross was still a higher rank. She would've expected him to at least think about what she was saying.
And he did.
But the hesitation wasn't for very long. In the blink of an eye, the soldier dashed for the door, causing Sable to widen her eyes.
"No, you idiot!"
Of course, it was too late. The doors were free to fly open, as they did to the swing of the soldier's arms. In the large room was a large inhuman being, it's hand raised high. With a sharp scream, the soldier was smacked down into the floor with a thunderous smack. Sable looked away before she glared.
"So that's the BOW that was clearing house...." Readying her assault rifle, she looked down at the fallen soldier. A sigh escaped her lips as her eyes quickly shifted back to the beast. "Hope it was worth it, soldier."
