So why exactly are you here of all places? Aren't you afraid of the big bad wolves? ..No? Well, you should be. No telling if one of them is going to drain you of all the water in your system. They all die so young...

MONTH. 00 2014 — announcement.

@Im Yoona @ Jeon Jeongguk

When Hyesung heard the door open he looked through the fringe of his longer-than-need-be hair, taking int he features of a boy much younger than him. Seeing the way he looked at Yoona reminded him of himself. How he used to look upon her with so much care and love. He still did but no one would probably notice it now. They were too scared to ever look directly in his eyes, and those who did could never see past the stereotype they had created for him, ignoring the real feelings his eyes portrayed.

"No, sweet boy. There's no need for that." he heard Yoona speak for the first time since her step father had left the room, and it wasn't towards him. Hyesung had guessed as much but he flinched slightly to himself anyways.

So she had found a replacement for him? Though the boy looked younger than her, he looked like someone who could take care of her. Someone good for her. Unlike him. He was a failure brother and an even worse man. He couldn't keep his thoughts connected properly, his words blended into jumbled messes, his emotions mixed into his body language so much it wasn't even funny. He was broken, and you couldn't fix him.

Staying silent as the two interacted he shifted on his feet, biting his lip, raking his teeth across it until it almost bled to calm down the inklings of fear leaking into every part of his being. It didn't help him though and the metallic taste in his mouth seemed to just make him nauseous again as he stood their with his head bowed.

@Jeon Jeongguk Quickly turning away from the door, having heard it open, Yoona furiously wiped away any evidence of her tears. Too bad it was in vain- Jeongguk had already seen them, bless him, and was currently testing the atmosphere in the room. She looked the younger boy over with a fond glint in her eye, before catching sight of the shriveled bird in his right hand- curiously drained of all the water in it's system.

She briefly heard him talking, and stiffened at the carefully concealed note of anger seeping into his tone. She looked at him worriedly. Last thing she needed was for Jeongguk to get arrested for draining the water out of her murderous half-brother.

But she could see the heat simmering slowly in his smile, and she wondered to herself how in the world this boy was an Aqua- one of the world's greatest mysteries, barring the mystery that she was a Ventus.

How she, a background and meek personality, had somehow ended up in the more dramatic and untameable sector, was something probably even Einstein himself couldn't solve.

She smiled gently at Jeongguk. "No, sweet boy. There's no need for that."

@Shin Hyesung @ Im Yoona

[[ sorry if it's short, i'm more semi than para eue ]]

Humming softly to himself, Jeongguk sauntered towards the headquarters. He'd just found the prettiest little bird and he was sure she'd love it. Its body lay shriveled and desiccated in his right hand; he'd dried it out. What else was he supposed to do, anyway? It was flapping around like crazy and causing so much trouble. Oh, well. At least its feathers were still beautiful.

Not bothering to knock, he pulled open the door to see Yoona and an older male student he didn't recognize. Oh. Oops.

"Sorry, Yoona, did I interrupt something~?" he asked, a little sheepishly. "You guys can continue your business, just pretend I was never here-"

He stopped, noticing the glisten in Yoona's eyes. She looked close to crying. Heat swelled in his chest.

"Yoona, did this man make you cry?" He asked carefully, still smiling- wouldn't want to scare Yoona with a frown- as he sized up the stranger. The man was clearly older than Jeongguk, and probably a difficult target to take on, but fighting him seemed possible.

"Do you want me to kill him for you~?"
Shin Hyesung 10 years ago
@Im Yoona If Yoona was on the verge of crying, Hyesung didn't notice. And if he did he would tell himself his mind was tricking him, which was a fairly plausible explanation considering his mental state. Unstable.

Still half listening to Yoona's step father, Hyesung stood away from the door but still not daring to move any closer to the other two in the room. If Yoona was supposed to watch him, would she ever talk to him? When she spoke, how would she sound? The same as she did before, or different? Hyesung prayed she wouldn't sound different. He wanted to hear the voice of his sister, not a changed girl, and yet he knew his wishing was selfish. There was no way she couldn't not change how she was before. Even if it was by force.

She had watched him turn into a killer behind closed doors. He wasn't thinking at that time. All he could hear as he brought the knife down was white noise, although he could see exactly what was happening. As if someone else was controlling his body and he could still see through his own eyes.

The blood was on his hands, not hers, so why did she have to go through pain of her own?

Of course Hyesung wished he'd never felt everything he'd felt all these years, but he would take all that and more just to see Yoona happy. If she asked him to leave her alone, he would do that. If she asked him to keep her company (though highly unlikely) he would do it. If she asked him to die, well, facing facts, he would do it. Just to make her happy, and if he died by her question, he guessed he would be happy seeing her smile before he died. And yet, why did that thought sound so wrong?

He was broken out of his mental stupor when her step father stood up and concluded speaking. Smiling at Yoona and hugging her, the man left through a different door of the room, leaving him and Yoona alone.

Hyesung immediately looked down at the ground and gulped. Was she going to say anything? Would she tell him to leave? He didn't want to face it. Any of it. He wanted to disappear now more than he ever had in his life.

@Shin Hyesung She trained her attention back on him in brief intervals, glance and avert, glance and avert, casually scanning over him as her father continued to list out the things that he wanted to have done, and tasks he expected to be met with their full attention.

She focused on him briefly after she had moved her gaze to the lounge, surprised by the hurt that flickered in his eyes. He looked torn.

Did she cause that?

She never wanted to hurt him- and he stood there, body language slowly stiffening and hunching, almost as if he were being crushed under some immense burden. The gaunt lines of his face told of his hardships, and all she wanted to do was to embrace him and never let go.

She started forward, jolting a bit, before remaining stagnant in her chair. Her father was still talking and he gave her a strange look, but her whole attention was fixed upon the man she once called brother so lovingly. She wet her lips in anxiousness, and bit the corner of her lip with her canines.

She couldn't hug him. The closer she got to him, the more she forgot about their siblings and father and the cruel end they met.

The only reason she and her mother were alive was because of her mother's quick wits, hiding them into the closet so quietly and efficiently.

But how could she forsake the brother she adored with all her heart?

He stumbled and leaned against the solid door, and her breath caught slightly in , and felt the familiar prick of tears in the corner of her eyes.
Weak, weak, weak.

No wonder she was such an ineffectual leader.

Her eyes glistened for a split second with unshed tears and indecision before she wiped them both away. Weak. She didn't want to be weak. She wanted to hate him, for all that he took, not love him for all that he gave.

But she was an idealist at heart, naive and innocent, kind and forgiving, no matter what hoops life told her to jump through, no matter how black and hurtful the slander. She saw the best in everyone, remembered the tender love and gentle care she received, even if she couldn't forget the horrors of their hate and anger.

@Im Yoona When Yoona looked upon him with a poker face that deemed him unworthy of a reaction, Hyesung wasn't surprised.

It did however, rip him apart on the inside when she looked away less than a second later. So that's how it was. He was the monster. What happened to his adorable and kind little sister? Did he make her disappear? The weight of it all crashed down upon him like a wave, drowning him in a kind of despair he hadn't felt since the murder. He really was a monster.

Hyesung's eyes flicked towards Yoona's step father as he listened absentmindedly, nodding although he knew very well who the girl was already.

This was how it was going to be. The victim and the attacker. The sister and brother. The innocent and the guilty. So many angles you could look at the situation and most of them were true. The guilt of it all ate away at his insides, but not as much as his thoughts about how much she hated him.

The only love he wanted to receive in his childhood was from his father, mother, brother, and of course his sister Yoona. His mother was taken, his father and brother murdered, and Yoona and her own mother left him willingly. Willingly. That's what hurt him most. The fact that yes, they chose to leave him, and not by force. It hurt. God, it hurt so much. The aches, the pains, not only physically but emotional and psychological. Thinking about it all just made him weak. Literally.

He stumbled slightly and leaned against the door, slumping against it, but noting that none of the other's in the room bothered to get close to him to see if he was alright. When Yoona's step father asked what was wrong, he just gave a weak smile and stood up, keeping his shoulder against the door.

Hyesung would never forgive himself. He probably put Yoona through Hell. Did he keep her up at night after he was taken away? Did she have nightmares about her hateful brother coming to kill her in the middle of the night? Was he about to put her through Hell all over again by coming back into her life?

And the only answer he had for those questions, was yes.

@Shin Hyesung She heard the door turning before she saw it open. She looked up, not deeming it necessary to stand up. She vaguely registered his muffled greeting, instead opting to focus on him. His hair was long and a bit shaggy, and he seemed gaunt and lean. He had a more dangerous and reluctant air to him, a far cry from the loving older brother she had once adored. He met her eyes from the doorway.

She kept her face carefully blank, watching the emotions flit through his eyes. Surprise, tinted with something that looked like love or adoration, colored his eyes. She could almost forgive him.

But forgiving and forgetting are two very different things indeed.

She blinked and looked around at the opulent room, eyes trailing over the conference table to the lounge and over to where other appliances were install to indulge the council. She looked away as her father made some unnecessary introductions- as if she needed to be introduced to the person she spent the majority of her childhood adoring and following around. He was always there for her in their youth- glowering at the boys who were overzealous in their speech, intimidating the bullies who saw her as soft and weak, and taking care of her when she was hurt- the whole nine yards.

How could she relate the being that murdered their father and other siblings to the loving older brother she knew? She couldn't. And so she hated the entire premise. She grew to despise her older brother, for changing so drastically. She grew to hate the monster that ripped her family from her in the blink of an eye.

And yet deep down, she knew she didn't hate him at all.

@Im Yoona Hyesung didn't want to knock on the door. He didn't want to be found. He seriously contemplated trying to runaway from the school again, except he would only be caught and locked up like all the times they had before he was actually enrolled. Keeping him in a basement, labeling him a monster. Would they do it if they knew he couldn't help it? Would they stop calling him a monster if they knew he was insane? The facts that he was tortured everyday by himself? No, of course not. He couldn't be forgiven. He was just a weak man without a heart who couldn't even save himself.

As he thought by the door, he heard voices inside, and blinked as he stared at the smooth surface. Should he go in? Should he stay outside? Again he thought about running away but shook his head and grabbed at his face. No, he was going to see this through, whether he liked it or not. It was the least he could do for 'them'. His family. The ones he had murdered. His father. Jin Kyo. They were both gone.

Pushing the thoughts away, he suddenly found his hand on the doorknob and gulped. He was really doing this wasn't he? And he opened the door.

"Hello sir." he muttered quietly as he walked in, keeping his head bowed down before looking up. His eyes widened considerably as the door shut behind him. Yoona. His sweet little sister Yoona was sitting right there. No matter how long he hadn't seen her, heard her voice, thought about her, he could recognize her the minute he laid eyes on her. His friend, half sister, and the one who helped in sending him away to Hell. And he still loved her even then, when she sent him away forever.

@Shin Hyesung Her step-father, or better known as Thanatos' absentee headmaster, was here- here here as in he was in the student council's headquarters currently awaiting her arrival. Biting her lip nervously, she entered the room, wincing as the door hinges creaked. She walked in, greeted by her step-father's bright smile. She relaxed, glad to see that he was not brooding or mad. She walked over and threw her arms around him, breathing in his cologne. "Hi dad, what are you doing here?" She stepped back and pushed out a chair for him to sit in- the one she usually used- and sat in Jeongguk's seat. The younger boy wouldn't mind. His smile faltered and he drew in a deep breath.

"Honey? Are you okay?" Her father figure had moved from his chair and was now kneeling at her feet, looking up at her worriedly. "I know, it's hard to take in.. Take a deep breath." She stared down at him unceasingly, eyes distant. Her half-brother was coming to this school and her father wanted her to watch over him. Her vision blurred out for a brief second, before she blinked multiple times and smiled softly at the man kneeling at her feet.

"It's okay, dad. I'll take care of him." He visibly relaxed after she had called him dad, and stood up to draw her into a long hug. His hugs were warm. She could almost be happy.

You know, barring the fact that her half-brother was coming. The one and only half-brother she had. The one who had murdered his whole family and their father.

But her step-father's hugs were warm.

@Im Yoona Hyesung was afraid. Not of the student council, but the presence of authority. He hated having people over him, not because he wasn't one to claim being the boss himself, he hated people that controlled him. Just like the voices in his head. Every single one of them, biting and eating away at the little sanity he had left. Telling him to do those things he didn't want to, putting thoughts in his head that left him sitting on the corner of his room, unable to sleep because he knew that when he closed his eyes the nightmares would start.

Breathing out and trying to calm down his fast beating heart, he opened the door to the student council headquarters and walked inside. When he shut it behind him his heart sped up again, the prospect of not being alone in the room a suddenly very scary thought. The wrongness of it all was the fact that he was probably older than all the student council members, yet he was still afraid of the controlling authority, not the council itself. The questions playing around in his head just made the fear worse. Would he be alone forever in this room? Would someone be coming in? How many people would be here to control him?
