@☆ Dongwan ☆ Lay felt a strong grip on his body as a cold, stinging sensation aded his skin, increasing more with every second passing. It didn't take him much to realize that it was a vampire who took a hold of him, and the thought that he was careless flashed in his mind right then, as he struggled to free himself from the pair of arms holding him tightly, knocking the breath out of him. His face scrunched in pain, feeling blood out of him, life slowly seeping out of his body. The prince tried to fill his lungs in fain, because niether the pain nor the grip would allow him to, and with his breath gone, so was his mind. His brain was blank, and vision blurred by tears, and he felt himself sliding into unconsciousness rapidly.
It was before he lost himself to a dark slumber that he heard a sound resembling a bullet and he collapsed to the ground, eyes still wide in fear and barely conscious that he may have been saved. He couldn't really move, but he shifted his head just a bit, hissing at the pain still residing in his neck. There he saw a man clad in black, impaling the vampire's heart, and now Lay finally registered what happened, even though it wasn't all entirely clear in his head in that state of semicounsciousness. He watched as the man kicked the corpse, which was just about a meter or so far from him, and the image was still terrifying. It was as if he was expecting the being to jump to his feet and lounge at him again, but it was only fear playing with his senses right now.
The prince shifted his eyes up at the man who saved him, not able to shift his position properly so that he could see his face. He could only see part of his body, his clothes and the arms, and he could guess what he was. The next thing he knew was darkness, as his eyelids fell heavily and he was unable to open his eyes for a while.
@ღ Prince Lay ღ Wind of the vampire attacks on a nearby castle hadn't reached Dongwan until two days later, on the third night. Once again, he was frustrated at his lack of being able to receive news, but that came with living in a church he supposed. And for however long he managed to live this life he wasn't going to move. When he caught news of the vampire's attempt on possibly harming the royal family, he knew he had to do something. Not because they were royalty, but because they were people, and Dongwan helped those in need.
So he anxiously waited for nightfall as he paced around in his side room of the church. His father (the Father of the church) checked on him every once in a while, offering advice and reassurance before returning to his talks with God. Sometimes Dongwan would join him in the Prayer Room before returning to his own. Finally, it was almost time to head out and he started getting ready. Leather jacket (for protection and because it looked cool), boots, fingerless gloves (also leather), axe, sword, stakes (three in total hanging off his belt), and one gun with six silver bullets. Dark jeans and shirt so he could hide in the shadows, and just a little black to outline his eyes, making sure the moonlight wouldn't reflect off them (totally not also because he thought it would make him look cooler).
Lacing up his boots and standing up from the pew he had been sitting in by the door, he knew he was ready and, like always, hugged the father goodbye before walking out of the church. Immediately he could smell something in the air, the smell of dark blood and human blood. Vampire. He followed the scent, knowing his eyes were on the verge of turning bright red, but kept it back, keeping them a murky swirl of deep red and dark brown.
Suddenly he could hear the rustling of leaves faintly, turning his ears to listen to it, and started running after it. Sure, he wasn't as fast as a vampire, but he was pretty damn fast. Being part vampire had its perks he supposed. Once he heard the rustling get closer, and suddenly stop his (thankfully) still beating heart leapt into his throat. Breathing, panicked heartbeat, teeth sinking into flesh. He could /hear/ it and ran silently right behind the clearing where he saw two figures.
Whipping his gun out of his belt and flicking off the safety with inhuman speed he pulled the trigger and the silver bullet inbedded itself into the vampire's skull. Again, with speed, Dongwan ran up behind the bloodsucker and pulled it back by its shirt, slamming it to the ground with a stake already pulled from his belt. In less than a second, he slammed it into the thing's chest, unaware that he had growled slightly and his eyes were bright red.
As soon as it had started, it was over, and he stood up, muttering 'son of a ' before kicking the now corpse and turning it over. He didn't want to look at its face.
The last days at the castle had been unusually eventful for the royal family and for everybody else who lived there. Prince Lay had wished before, maybe, that it wouldn’t all be so boring and tedious there, but how is that saying? ‘Be careful what you wish for’. The peril of his family was the last thing he was expecting, and a vampire attacking guards at night trying to get to them was something he would have attempted to avoid at all costs. However, this didn’t depend on him from what he was aware of. It had first happened two nights ago. The guards in that shift were attacked, almost killed, and despite the fact that the one responsible for that was almost caught, he still managed to escape. The second time was last night, when the same thing happened. Now the prince was sure that it was going to happen again, and he couldn’t just bear the thought that he his comfortably in his room, doing nothing about it. As a prince, he felt responsible for his own life and for the lives of the ones around him. So despite everyone’s warnings, he just couldn’t stay inside. When the sun was beginning to set, he went out of the castle, without his brother’s notice, of course.
It hadn’t been much time until a strange, although faint, rustling was heard in the foliage after he had walked for a while around the castle, out of any guards’ view. The sound stopped momentarily, and Lay stopped in his tracks, listening carefully. A couple of seconds later, he heard it again, only this time it was a little further away. He looked in the direction of the sound, approaching what he considered to be its source, noticing a figure hidden by the leaves. He wasn’t able to see him well, but instinctively, he took a step back before he saw him run away. The next moment, without thinking about his actions, Lay ran after him, sure that the unknown person was the one who attacked them the previous nights. It was foolish of him, but he didn’t stop, he just ran after the silhouette which he still couldn’t see well, because of his speed and also because of the plants hindering him.
The prince should have realized it was all just a trap when he lost sight of him for a few moments, before a pair of strong arms held him painfully from behind him. The next thing he knew was a terrible pain in his neck caused by something cold and sharp, which Lay inferred to be fangs.
OTL T^T I got carried away when making him a vampire hunter and everything and forgot you weren't allowing vampires right now. I'll take off the part vampire thing then and make him completely human although it would've been awesome for him to be part vampire/vampire hunter. Sorry for forgetting and causing trouble. >.< Sorry again.
