ღ Baekhyun's house

@Baekhyun Kyungsoo nodded with a smile.
"Yeah sure, the kitchen sounds good." He wondered how it would differ from the kitchens he was used to down under, after all they didn't cook much for quite obvious reasons.

@Kyungsoo "There's the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom and that's it. It's really just a small house with the necessities that I need to survive," Baekhyun said as he thought. "How about I show you the kitchen first?" he asked, smiling lightly.

@Baekhyun Kyungsoo nodded, it really would be devastating if someone was forced to marry a stranger while already being in love with someone else. People with power always did whatever they pleased, not caring if it hurt the feelings of others.
"Well uh.. I don't know.. what is there to see?" He asked, eye crinkling in to an eye smile. He stood up from the couch, ready to go anywhere.

@Kyungsoo Baekhyun gave a light smile. "I wouldn't mind the marriage this much if I had a chance to get to know the person first. I don't think that throwing something like that onto someone without warning is fair. I mean what if my husband or wife is in love with someone else but is being forced to marry me?" he explained. "Now what would you like to see first? Besides the living room that we are currently in?" he asked.

@Baekhyun Kyungsoo smiled back.
"I'm sure no one would actually bother to ask me about that, but note taken." He said softly, glancing around the house.. he really wanted to see more of it. "Oh.. that must be terrible.. arranged marriages is horrible in my opinion." He said, feeling bad for him. Then the other asked him if he wanted to see more of the house and he instantly grinned, nodding several times. "Yes please, I've been so curious since I first got inside." He said and chuckled.

@Kyungsoo Baekhyun smiled and nudged Kyungsoo back lightly. "Its okay, honestly. Though if anyone asks you, I'm not the prince and you have no idea where I am," he said. "At least that is if they are still looking for me so that I can marry the person they arranged for me to marry," he added. He smiled and stood up, placing his hands on his hips. "So would you like to see more of the house?" he asked.

@Baekhyun Kyungsoo felt a little bad that he had thought it was a joke, it was quite obvious the other was a little offended by it.
"Well.. it's not exactly everyday you come by a runaway prince, it just sounded too absurd to be true. Sorry if I offended you by laughing." He said and rubbed the back of his back sheepishly. "That I can assure you, you're not the first prince I've met." He said and gave the others shoulder a friendly bump.

@Kyungsoo Baekhyun sat down next to the other and nodded. "I understand, but I'm not the happiest when people don't believe me," he said. "I haven't had the best experience when its happened before. I feel like they think that I'm not trustworthy or worth much when they don't believe me," he said, hugging his knees to his chest. "I'm glad you don't care about it though," he said, leaning his head on the other's shoulder. "Honestly, I'm glad. It means you won't hold me to the ridiculously high standards that my family and tutors did," he said, smiling softly.

@Baekhyun Kyungsoo stifled his laughter once he realized how serious the other looked. Was it possible that he was actually telling the truth? He silently followed the other as he where lead inside the house, watching with wide eyes as he took everything in. He sat down on the couch and lightly drummed with his fingers on his thigh. He blinked as he was shown a ring, it was quite exquisite but at the same time Kyungsoo had never ever heard of a "Royal ring" so it didn't really say much to him.
"Okay listen.. even if you are a prince I kind of don't care.. I don't mean to sound rude but I really have no connection to the royal family so weather you're a runaway prince or not doesn't matter to me." He said softly.

Baekhyun watched as Kyungsoo steadied himself, ready to help if needed. He bit his lip as the other didn't believe him and looked down slightly. "I'll prove it to you," he said, taking the other's hand and leading him into the house. He led the other to the couch and motioned for him to sit down before he went to find his ring. Once he found it, he came back out and showed the ring to Kyungsoo. "This is the royal ring, given to the crown prince," he said.

@Baekhyun [Kyungsoo was kind of standing up already haha but alright he can sit :P]

Kyungsoo stood up with the help of the other merman and took his hands back once he was steady on his feet. Walking was still something he found incredibly strange, especially since his body insisted in moving his legs together at once as if they where still connected to each other. Then Baekhyun decided to tell him that he was the crown prince and Kyungsoo just blinked, staring at him as if he had grown an additional head before he started laughing.
"Don't joke around like that." He said and lightly shoved the other playfully, because it seemed so unlikely that he would come across the crown prince who had ran away like this.. it was just too unreal to be true so it had to be a joke.

@Kyungsoo Baekhyun helped Kyungsoo stand up when his hand was taken and he blushed lightly and looked away from the other at his question. He debated internally about whether or not he should tell Kyungsoo. After a few silent minutes, he decided to tell the other who he was. "B-Because I'm the crown prince. I ran away from home and was worried about my family," he said softly.

@Baekhyun Kyungsoo looked at the hand extended out to him, a bit confused about why the other was offering his hand but Kyungsoo figured that he shouldn't over-think it and just silently accepted the hand. He blinked at the question, the royal family? Kyungsoo wasn't even sure he even knew who the current king was, since his family had always lived to secluded news from the royality in the kingdom seemed to just slip past them.
"I actually have no idea, I live in the outskirts of the kingdom so we don't get much news. Why do you ask?" He asked back, curious why the other suddenly brought up the royal family all of a sudden.

@Kyungsoo Baekhyun smiled as the other was dressed and held a hand out towards him. "Shall we explore my house?" he asked. He bit his lip as he thought of whether or not he should ask the other about his family, wondering if they were doing okay or not. If they were worried about him or glad that he was gone. He glanced towards the other and blinked lightly. "If you don't mind, may I ask how the royal family is doing? Are they all alright? No one's sick or dead?" he asked, fiddling with the hem of his shirt.

@Baekhyun Kyungsoo smiled in gratitude, turning his attention to his fin and closed his eyes, imagining them turning in to legs. He had practiced quite a bit lately and the process of turning his fin in to legs was much easier now compared to when he had first tried. He took the clothes and put them on, he still found the concept of wearing clothes to be quite weird but he kind of liked the way fabric felt on his skin. The clothes fit rather well, which was fortunate.
"They fit pretty well, thank you." He said and nodded his head slightly.

@Kyungsoo Baekhyun smiled and started up the steps of his deck. "I'll go and get you some clothes then. I'll be back in like a minute," he said before disappearing into the house. He hurried to his bedroom and grabbed a set of clothing for Kyungsoo before making his way back out to the other. "Here's some clothes for you. I think they should fit you but I'm not entirely sure if they will fit you right or not," he said, setting them on the deck next to the other.

@Baekhyun Kyungsoo flicked some pearls of water off his fin and then turned his attention back to the other.
"It would be great if I could borrow some, and it would feel awkward turning and not having any clothes to change in to, walking to get them wearing nothing would be rather.. strange." He said softly, scrunching up his nose as he felt a sneeze building up. He shuddered once he sneezed and groaned, sneezing was one of his least favorite things in the world, the feeling was just icky and gross.

@Kyungsoo Baekhyun nodded and then smiled lightly at the other's comment about clothes. "You can borrow some of mine," he said. "I'll go grab some now if you'd like or we can both go once you've got your legs, if you'd prefer," he said, smiling happily.

He had missed being around other merpeople and hoped that he would be able to see the other again soon. Maybe he could go with him on a swim of his or something, he thought quietly.

@Baekhyun Kyungsoo followed the other and pulled himself up on the dock as well. He was a bit nervous since he hadn't had that much practice with changing in to his legs and it didn't always work either.
"Ah yes I do, but it hasn't been long since my first time." He admitted and scratched the back of his head a bit. "But uh... I kind of don't have anything to change in to so.." He trailed off, not really wanting to change and walk around .

@Kyungsoo Baekhyun smiled and waved for Kyungsoo to follow after him as he made his way to the deck. Once there, he pulled himself up onto the dock and grabbed the towel that was hanging off of a railing. He blinked and looked over at the other. "Do you know how to get legs yet?" he asked as he started to dry his fin off. He lifted the bottom of his fin out of the water and dried it off. Once his fin was completely dry, it changed into his legs again and he got dressed, ready to help the other if needed.

@Baekhyun Kyungsoo blinked a bit, the other seemed to be so bright now and it was a complete change from the person who had spotted Kyungsoo in the water. It felt like perhaps Baekhyun had been someone important back at the kingdom, at least from the way he was talking. But his face wasn't that familiar to Kyungsoo so he wouldn't really know. He found himself smiling back, nodding excitedly.
"Yeah it looks so cool, I would love to see it!" He said with a smile.

@Kyungsoo Baekhyun smiled and laughed lightly. "Yes, they are very scary people," he said, looking towards his house quietly as the other mentioned it. "I do live here alone. You get used to it after a while and for me it is much nicer than where I used to live. I feel free here," he said with a bright smile. "I don't have any pressure to be something that I probably will never be," he added. "Do you want to see it?" he asked, looking at the other and tilting his head lightly.

@Baekhyun Kyungsoo noticed the change in the other mermans behavior once he realized that Kyungsoo was well... Kyungsoo. The other introduced himself as Baekhyun, which sounded familiar to his ears but he wasn't sure, maybe one of his childhood friends was called that.
"It must be some scary people if they make you like that." He commented. "And you didn't scare me, I was merely surprised by such a reaction." He said with a casual shrug, he then looked over at the house. "So.. do you live here? all alone?" He asked, amazed by the strange house, it was very different from the underwater houses he was used to.

@Kyungsoo Baekhyun relaxed immensely when he heard that the other was just out swimming. "Its okay. You're fine, I'm just avoiding some people and I thought that you might be one of them," he said before swimming towards the other. "I'm Baekhyun," he said, wondering if he was one of the citizens of his kingdom that he left behind. If he was, then he should know him just by his name, but then again, who would really know if the citizens even knew who he was. "I'm sorry if I scared you at all with my reaction to your presence," he added softly.

@Baekhyun Kyungsoo raised his eyebrows in question, really confused about the way the other merman was acting.
"Uhm.. my name is Kyungsoo and I was just out swimming.. sorry for intruding your territory.. I honestly had no idea that someone was living here." He said truthfully, but kept his distance, just staying afloat just by the surface. Maybe he should have come up with a fake identity for himself, sometimes he was just too honest and it would probably get him in trouble one day. But he just couldn't understand why the other seemed so on edge just by the sight of him alone, it wasn't like he would be able to do much damage to the boy even if he tried.

@Kyungsoo Baekhyun frowned as he noticed the other wave towards him. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" he asked, ready to swim away from the other if he was in fact here to take him back to the palace. "Sorry if I do not seem friendly at the moment, but I have my reasons to be wary of strangers," he added, backing away slightly. He watched the other carefully, trying to predict his movements so he could avoid if necessary.

@Baekhyun Kyungsoo kept of observing quietly when the human had sat down and his legs had turned in to a fin, very much like his own but with different colors. He gaped a little, since he hadn't been expecting to come across a fellow merman this far away from the sea kingdom. He hesitantly swam up to the surface, still keeping his distance and glanced at the other. He had never seen him before so he wasn't really sure if this merman was from the same kingdom as him, but by the looks of it this merman lived in that strange above-water house. He hesitantly waved towards the other, because he could sense a bit of discomfort with the other merman. He wanted to show that he wasn't dangerous so he tried to smile gently, hoping it would convince the other that he meant no harm.

@Kyungsoo Baekhyun decided to go for a swim, stripping his clothes so they wouldn't get ruined before sitting down on the edge of the deck. He slipped his feet into the water and his legs immediately turned into a long, elegant maroon fin. He smiled and sat there for a minute,getting used to the water before he slipped fully into the water. He smiled as he was submerged and wriggled his fin, getting used to it again. He looked around with a soft smile, only for it to fade into a look of terror as he saw the other merman. His first thought being that the other was sent to find him and take him back to the palace.

@Baekhyun Kyungsoo was startled as he heard a sound and quickly dove back in the water, observing from underneath the surface. He carefully swam around the house and eventually spotted a human boy. He couldn't get a good look due to the surface not being completely still but he didn't really dare swim up to take a better look. He just watched the other carefully, making sure he wouldn't be spotted, which wouldn't be that hard since his body naturally blended with the colors of the sea.
