✹ Jaejoong ✹ [A] 10 years ago
@Yukwon Jaejoong can't really recall the last time he let his true form take over, allowing himself to be free completely, to be wild and not concern himself with the citizens who would run away terrified at his sight or try to kill the beast that he was. He had missed this feeling greatly, and even though he hadn't adventured to the other side of the portal this time around, he felt something similar to the times when he was in the place he could almost call 'home', back in the forest.
Jaejoong wasn't really fond of killing, but back in the days, he had no choice. He had to live, so he had to hunt, and that somehow remained in his instincts, and he figured it was natural. That's why his legs had automatically led him in the wake of a poor rabbit that appeared in his way. Dispite the fact that Jaejoong wasn't going to harm it, the run was freeing, and the branches and leaves brushing against his body as he passed by them reminded him of the old times. Without him knowing, the animal led him outside the woods, and he found himself near the desolated view of a graveyard. It wasn't the first time this has happened to him, and he began to wonder if he ended up coming here because of what he was, a demon, but he shrugged that thought away quickly though as he felt a familiar scent nearby.
Hyuna 10 years ago
The tension in the air weighed heavy on her shoulders. An oddly uncomfortable silence wrapped around her like a venomous blanket. But seems like it was just Kim Hyuna who thought that the whole situation was choking her from the inside, because the tall wizard who stood in front of the girl, he looked like nothing was ever wrong. And nothing bothered him in any way. It was just a plain old graveyard which had many empty graves, ready to bury the dead. Yes, the whole situation was weird, let alone, leaving the part that she was standing in from of the man from whom she was trying to hide.

Hyuna took a moment to hold back a scowl that was ready to grace her nonchalant expression, because- the last thing she wanted was to entertain the male with her frustration and displeasure. Her grey eyes hardened at the sight of the wizard who fabricated to be hurt by her enmity. “I wasn’t quite aware that we were on a much friendlier term, to greet each other and ask how our lives have been, Park Chanyeol.” The werewolf bluntly pointed out. She definitely hated that fact that the wizard could simply rile her up, just by standing right in front of her. “We went way back, uh?” Hyuna could literally laugh at their wicked history. For the six damned years where they played the classic game of hide and seek , except for the fact that the consequence wasn’t much simple as the actual game.

What exactly did the male want when she was a teen, Hyuna thought. She couldn’t recollect any longer. How much ever she wanted to rake her brain and pull out that glimpse memory, the girl simply couldn’t. Maybe because she decided that she no longer sought to remember it and thus /locked/ it away in some corner of her brain, she still couldn’t just grasp it. Oh but Hyuna unquestionably knew why she wanted Chanyeol’s help. And probably because the same help that the old man then offered; the lady had been able to escape quite well in most of the cases. She sighed and clenched her fist. To lose her control and change her form back to the wolf. It sounded tempting. It was an animal instinct to run off and escape before the foes can wrap their calculating fingers around their windpipe. And the same could be easily applied to Hyuna’s condition.

"Out of all places, here." Hyuna hear the male speak after a while. “Yes, indeed. It was a cleaver to choose this place.” She bitterly replied. After all, it was Chanyeol who suggested that particular realm first. His unintentional advice, ‘Hide somewhere you are least estimated to be.’ And he was absolutely right. Werewolves were bound to walk in packs. They were always expected to be in groups and in families. Somehow.. very similar to the human beings. And thus, supposing Hyuna to be in the community of humans was quite random and unlike the creature. And yet, to think again, was she really in a place much different from her own native land? She silently chuckled at her own thought. Not really.

Hyuna watched the male step back, gesturing to carry on what she was doing before his arrival that interrupted her. ‘Two minutes to finish up.’ To finish up whatever she was up to. The wind blew again, making her every strand that rested on her back rise. If she would slowly turn to the grave, he wouldn’t see her arms or her body. The long trench coat covered her very well. To her plus point, there was the wind carrying her hair that would cover her face. The wheels on her mind turned as she kept on thinking about the possibilities. After all, Chanyeol did say to finish up what she was planning to do. She had planned to walk off. She thought again. If the wind blew a little more roughly, it might temporarily blind the man who would enable her the time to swiftly shift to her true form and that time period might even give her to opportunity to sprint off before the wizard could actually realize what might have happened.

Thinking it all out and mentally calculating sounded a lot perfect than pulling it out in reality, she darkly thought. But doing it- it was worth a try. But yet, her consciousness didn’t really allow her to execute it. After all, the wizard did catch her fair and square; just as how they played their game. No cheatings from either side. Hyuna sighed and took a step back. She gazed gently at the tombstone and bowed, hoping all the best might be bestowed over them. “I’m done.” She said, pushing away her hair back and standing straight. “Let’s talk.”

"Hello Chanyeol."

It didn't take a genius to notice the reluctance in her voice, the tense tone. Chanyeol could hear everything she was feeling in just those two words. He could hear the fact that she knew it was too late, he could hear the sullen acceptance of what was to come. He could hear everything, and he could definitely feel it. Most people probably would have been put off by the pregnant silence between the two, but not Chanyeol. He was immune to things like that. Anything deemed awkward or weird, Chanyeol deemed normal. He had been in numerous tense situations, much more than anyone could count, but in his mind, he had been in none, simply because nothing made him feel awkward. This being included.

A fake frown settled on his face, the wizard pretending to be hurt. "Only Hello Chanyeol? No 'how have you been?' or 'how is your phoenix?'. All I get is a cold hello." He complained, sighing a bit as he shook his head, his wavy brown locks messily covering his eyes now because of the wind. "I thought we went way back Kim Hyuna." It was true though. The two had quite the history, and it was all full of cat and mouse. Though Chanyeol could remember their initial meeting, when they hadn't been playing the game of tag, him always being it, and Hyuna always being chased by him. When Hyuna had been so naïve and immature, a young woman who wasn't nearly as wise as the older wizard. He could still remember their first conversation when the deal had been brought up.

In a way, Hyuna was special. A full six years she had been running. That was the longest anyone had been able to outrun the wizard. Chanyeol was highly intelligent, but so was Hyuna. She was smart, she was dexterous. She could calculate plans and execute them. It was because of her intelligence that she had managed to avoid Chanyeol for so long. Till the day it surprised him that this was the first time in six years they had ever been this close. Sure, he had been close to finding her for a while, but he was always one step behind the clever girl. Each time, the intelligence behind her escape only impressed him more. Kim Hyuna had gone from a naïve, immature teenage girl, to a clever, intelligent, calculating woman. She wasn't naïve anymore, she was actually quite wise now to Chanyeol's knowledge.

The frown fell from the wizard's face though as he stepped forward slowly, tilting his head up towards the grey sky, to admire the cloudiness. He couldn't even remember the last time he had been in the city. But he surely could recall why he didn't come back for a while. He hated the smog that filled this kingdom. The air was unclear, it was tainted. The scenery wasn't nearly as beautiful as the others, though he had to admit the tall sky scrapers certainly were eye catching. And well, they had completely abandoned their royal family lines, not that Chanyeol had been an avid supporter of any royal family to be honest, he just found it weird that they didn't have one.

"Out of all places, here." Chanyeol said, slightly thrown off by this. If he had the choice and was running from someone, he probably would have hid out in a place a bit more on the tranquil side, with much better landscaping than this. But then again, it was smart in it's own way as Chanyeol hadn't thought that she would hide here out of all of the kingdoms. "It was a clever choice, the city." He lightly praised, stepping closer and closer to the werewolf. He had come in contact with the species before, but he had never seen them change into their other form, though he wasn't sure if he quite wanted to see yet.

Looking pass her, to the tomb stone, he read the names, and quickly realized just who they were. He took a small step back. He didn't want to be too cruel, after all it was her parent. Motioning for her to continue paying her respects, Chanyeol tapped his foot against the ground patiently. "Go on. I'll give you two minutes to finish up." He said, eyebrows raising a bit.

@Chanyeol [[ Sooooooo sorry for the late reply!!! ]]

Hyuna held her arms together and gazed over the big tombstone with an emotionless expression. The smooth surface was stained and there were patches of dirt that seemed to grow more and more as every time she slipped into that quiet gloomy place to pay honor for her parent. She bowed her head and closed her eyes, silently prayed for their souls. She wasn’t even sure if a creature of the night like her had a soul. But if they ever did, she prayed that they would be in a place where they could rest peacefully.

The girl stood up straight and tucked the strands of her long brown hair behind her ear before chuckling dryly. She wondered if they were ever be in a place where they could see what’s happening in the universe, would they watch their child run around like a criminal? ‘I’m losing my mind.’ Hyuna whispered to herself. She looked up and watched the bare branches move by the force of the wind and she could have sworn that there was something heavy and suffocating about her current situation. Though she stood on a ground where people barely showed up, the werewolf felt something different. And that something was definitely not good, she knew.

The lady had been on a run from many people. From the people who have helped her as well as those who pursued her for other countless reasons that, one day she hoped, which will all fall behind. But how wrong she was. The werewolf’s first and the most senseless mistake that day was letting her guard down. Besides, she had immaturely left all her trails behind like a drunk human and that realization mortified her. It was as if she was slapped on the head by the karma with the human’s frying pan and all her senses and usual habits just slipped off her mind.

Hyuna sensed the change in the speed of the wind. It was strong and powerful, which also brought the scent of someone whom she hoped that she wouldn’t meet anytime soon. And at that moment, she knew, she was caught. She was too late to react. Too stupid for being… at plain sight. ‘You’re caught, kim Hyuna.’ A small nagging voice rang in her mind and all she could do as smile. A bitter smile.

“Hello Chanyeol.” Hyuna stiffly replied and turned towards her left, where she met the towering figure of a male who smirked victoriously. Park Chanyeol- a wizard from whom she was on a run for a very long time. The man had a taunting aura and whatever he did for someone always came with a price. And for Hyuna to meet such wizard, she must have been literally cursed. For a sixteen year old teen then, she wasn’t aware of what was packed in the future for her and her present self- Oh she wished that she wasn’t immature then.

@hyuna
A shiver ran down the wizard's spine, digging his hands into the pockets of his trench coat. His emerald eyes scanned the graveyard, and he stretched a bit, before starting to walk through the land. He shivered once more, mumbling a small string of curse words. He wasn't afraid at all, but rather since it was winter there was a bitter wind blowing through the graveyard. He had never been afraid of the dead, as in his eyes, the dead was just that - dead. Of course, he had manners, but he wasn't exactly thinking about the graves he was walking over right now. No, his mind was on something much much more different, and he considered it rather important right now.

His mind was instead focused on a certain female who owed him, and had owed him for quite a while now. Chanyeol wasn't the type to get upset if people were hesitant about paying him back, nor was he the type to rush them into it. But when he came to one of his debtees, ready to collect what was owed, he expected them to comply, no questions asked. And most did, most. Though there were a select few who wanted to be defiant. Who had made a deal with Chanyeol, and had him carry out his part, only to not pay him back when the time had come. Those people, were the ones who irked the wizard; Kim Hyuna was part of that group.

It wasn't exactly wise to upset a wizard. Most people wouldn't have the guts to do that, especially not with a wizard as infamous as the male. But there were some, the daring, who liked to try and escape the system. They would run as much as possible. But usually, they would end up giving in, as they were afraid of what would happen if they continued to run. Hyuna had been running for quite some time now. Though it wasn't as if Chanyeol wasn't exactly complaining all the time, the girl was quite good at running, and it certainly was entertaining for him to try and guess where she had ran this time. Today, he hadn't guessed right, but nonetheless showed up, ready to be paid what was owed.

Looking around the empty grounds, his gaze landed on a certain figure off in the distance. Immediately, a smirk began to play at his lips, and he raised his eyebrows in interest. From what he could see, she was standing at a tombstone, though that was the least of Chanyeol's worries right now. So what if he might be intruding on her time with a loved one, had she paid him back earlier, he wouldn't have to intrude on her life like this.

Running a hand through his wind blown brown locks, he began to make his way over, long legs covering the distance in almost no time. Getting closer and closer to the figure, he paused only a few feet away from her. Looking pass the girl at the tombstone, he gave a respectful bow of the head before turning his attention back to the back of the girl. "Well, long time no see." He chided, his low voice cheery, as the smirk continued to dance on his lips.

The wind howled in what sounded like a voice of a human. Heechul liked to pretend it was the voice of his dead parents, asking for forgiveness. It was cold that night but he never mind. He always came here at night. The shadows of the tombstones were still, like the human whose name had been engraved on them. It took a few minutes, maybe fifteen, before he reached the stones with the names familiar to him. The graveyard was big and old, baring almost hundreds of people. It was the only place in the city he went close to, and even here, he only went at night. A small smirk appeared on his lips as he looked at the weared out stone. Time wasn't kind to them. He was the only lucky one.

He found it quite ironic, that out of all places he found this the most comforting when his emotions ever began to unravel. The silence helped calm his anxiousness though he wonders if anyone would ever be able to tell when his face was often stoic. He ran his bony fingers down through his locks of hair that seem to defy gravity as he sat at one of the rectangular tombstones; he preferred them over the crosses. Kibum ran his tongue over his fangs, trying to clean up the bit of blood that had seeped from his early meal though it wasn't as satisfactory as he had hoped.

OTL T^T I got carried away when making him a vampire hunter and everything and forgot you weren't allowing vampires right now. I'll take off the part vampire thing then and make him completely human although it would've been awesome for him to be part vampire/vampire hunter. Sorry for forgetting and causing trouble. >.< Sorry again.
