@[V] Sojin the older's reasoning makes sense, ah joong thinks to herself, and when the other releases her hand to disappear into the crowd, she does her best to follow sojin through the mortals without harshly colliding into anyone so as to not bring attention to herself. when she stops in an alleyway, the younger looks at the trash and decaying matter littering the area with distaste; humans were filthy.
"should i just grab someone now?" she mutters as she blends in with the shadows. "no one's paying attention right?" where does she grab them: the neck, the arm? who does she pick? the questions were endless.
@[V] Ah Joong "Whichever you'd prefer, my dear. Sharing is always good as long as you're decently filled." Shrugging a little, she eyes a dark alley at the end of the road. Sojin swiftly glides through the crowd, hoping that the other would tail behind her. Making her way into the alley, she disappears into the shadows as an attempt to hide away from suspecting passing mortals.
"It's quite a night. I supposed you could just grab someone and drag them in here to lessen the attention you will get as opposed to doing this out in the open."
@[V] Sojin the younger makes a sound of agreement as her sister takes her hand, curiosity making her nose twitch slightly. "will we bring back stuff for the others?" she asks. "or is this just as practice tonight between the two of us?" the steps to obsidian were few as they stride through the forests, and when ah joong detects lights from lanterns and hears the hustle and bustle of humans, she quickens her pace to match sojin's so that she doesn't lag behind. oh she could feel her hunger now -- her canines sharpen in without warning at the thought of feeding.
@[V] Ah Joong Sojin nods as the other continues to speak. "Don't worry on the others for now... focus on yourself." She says quite softly before looking up at the moon above. It was a perfect night. The dark was like a blanket over the town in the distance. A slight smirk forms on her lips as she gazes over the view of the small village trying to ready themselves for the night. "I'll be here. Don't worry. I'm right behind you, my dear." She takes the other's hand and leads her out of the forest and into the bustling evening streets of Obsidian.
@[H] Leo Jiyeon growled. "Good to know Killer, see you hopefully never." she said, clenching her fists, making them bleed. She was worn and she turned around and started limping her way out, her leg not going into it's place and she took breaths while limping, trying to hold herself back form everything she wanted to do to the evil creature. She knew it, they were all the same. Jerks and Killers, not caring about anything but what new wepons to buy.
@[WW] Jiyeon His eyebrow rose up, well it is true that being a hunter he had kill numerous vampires and sometime the other creature but he never once encounter or even killing a werewolf "I don't kill people. I'm not counting those creature as people." Leo shrugged "And if all werewolves are as dramatic as you are, it would be boring to slaughter you." Well he is a type who always said whatever in his mind sometimes not really cared if the words coming out too straightforward or even annoying. "You're too pity to be killed, so get out from my sight."
@[V] Sojin ah joong hums brightly as she falls in step with the older. "but i feel like you've given me such a huge chance, granting me this much, and i've been feeling as though i was robbing the others of their meals when i've been relying on them to do the hunting for me." she glances at her sister, the adrenaline in her system granting her an unlimited supply of energy and excitement. would it be just as she thought it would be, going hunting? or would it be dull and lack that spark that she so often heard those in their clan describe after coming back from their very first hunt?
when sojin talks about their prey attacking back, the younger sobers up a bit. she knows that, of course, some humans have trained themselves for self defense, and even if they haven't, they have a fight-or-flight response in them. mixed with adrenaline, even the most inept humans could take down a vampire in the blink of an eye. "but you'll be here with me in case that happens, right?" she gently asks, the words slipping off of her tongue almost timidly. ah joong knows that sojin won't be there on every hunt, but for now, she wants the security and comfort that the older could give, to build up her confidence.
"i'll do exactly as you say," ah joong repeats after the other dutifully, feet softly padding on the forest ground with a grace that only creatures like her could manage.
@[H] Leo Jiyeon had so many emotions on her face when she was forced to be turned around. Anger, Sadness, Pain, Horror all twisted into one face. It took Jiyeon a minute to get her words out as she looked at him. "Your a hunter, right? I mean, who else would have all that gear, huh?" She shook her head bitterly. "Well then, killer, I hope you have a nice time slaughtering more people than you already have." she said bitterly and ripped herself out of his grip.
@[WW] Jiyeon He could see the hatred printed clearly on her face making him wonder what he said wrong to her and being a persistent guy he is, Leo chased her "Wait." He called out to the female and when she's close enough he grabbed her hand "Why are you so mad? Did I say something offending?" Leo tilted his head to the side "If I do, I'm sorry."
@[H] Leo "A vampire, lucky? wait..." she looked closly and noticed all the gear on him. "Oh my gosh..." She realized he was a hunter, and she stood up, brushing herself off. "Well then, have fun on your trip" she groweled harshly and walked away 'killer!' she yelled in her head and she gritted her teeth together
@[WW] Jiyeon He sat there, eyes never leaving the female in precaution. The scent definitely coming from this area yet he could find none but this woman; surely she's not just any normal human. "You don't need to know who I am." Leo simply said "What are you doing in deep part of forest at night like this?" He stand up, patting the knee part of his pants to clean the dust before looking back at her "You're lucky you're not a vampire."
@[H] Leo It took her a bit, but Jiyeon stirred awake, gasping and sitting up fast, backing up to a tree."What...?" she tried retracing her steps and then remebered. "Who are you?" she asked, looking at the male who had gotten her awake. Thankfully her wolf went away, at least for a little bit.
@[WW] Jiyeon Just like any other night, this night was no different for Leo as he roam around the lake area seeking for vampires to kill. Yes, he is a hunter but doesn't really want to kill anything but that one night creature. His gun tucked safely inside his jacket while his sword is on his back, ready to strike anytime. The night wind blew making his brown hair swept to the side and Leo closed his eyes to enjoy the wind but somehow there are a strange scent coming along with the wind. Being a hunter, his nose and ear are trained to pick up anything different and this one scent he never encounter. Nodding to himself, he dashed toward the source of the scent but when he arrived he found nothing that out of ordinary that was until his eyes fell on a girl laying down near the river. Cautiously he walked toward her and slightly shake her body "Wake up."
@[H] Leo
Jiyeon gasped, unable to breath as she felt her wolf shifting inside her. "oh my gosh." she pushed it back but it growled and tore at her. Tears stung her eyes as she knelt next to a tree, breathing ragged at her wolf fought against her. "no...no!" she yelled and felt her bones breaking. Her vision started going red, and she could feel herself pulsing, as her wolf was fighting the hardest it's ever fought. She grabbed her head and screamed. Unable to take it anymore, she passed out.
@[V] Ah Joong "Don't thank me. It's just... natural for a vampire to feel this way so I don't think you should be thanking me." Sojin laughed a little as she turned to the pathway leading to the village. It was a little difficult for her to remember all the ropes of hunting because she's been doing it so easily the past few years. It was a long time ago when her parents mentored her about the basics.
"Hmmm," Sojin tapped her long fingernails against her lower lip as she made her way down the path, signaling for the other to come follow her. The dark was starting to cover the land. "Secondly, don't play with your food like I do." Another laugh and Sojin shakes her head, "It's not very safe. It gives your target time to run or worse... attack you." She says the last few words a little more sternly than expected.
"Please," she turns her head towards the other as they walked, "do exactly as I say, alright?"
@[V] Sojin the younger bites her lower lip with a sort of desperation welling up. "i -- i want to go tonight!" she proclaims with vigorous nods, long hair wildly flowing with her every action. "it's alright that you're coming with me, just that..." she's suddenly unsure how to thank the other for everything that she's done. "well, thank you so much. giving me the opportunity to do this, nonetheless, especially taking the time to go with me. oh, will it just be the two of us on this hunt?" her eyes sparkle with merriment.
ah joong sits on her haunches, ears open to the older's words. she certainly possesses valuable insight that the younger would like to own. "ah, right now, right!" when the hunters and knights are away, the two of them will definitely play, she thinks with a childish grin as she gets up to her feet, ready to spirit away whenever sojin says to.
"Ah, ah." Sojin lifts her finger up when she sees the other's excitement rising. She suddenly remembers the time when she went out hunting alone without anybody knowing where she went. "I can't let you go alone just yet so I'll be tailing behind you. Just let me know when you feel like it." She turned her head up to look at the darkening sky above. "Or, you know... we can go tonight." Sojin quickly glances at her,
"Rule number 1, always know the time when the Hunters and Knights are on the look out." Again, she lifts a finger. "It's a little too early for them to be roaming around right now, so we should leave at this moment if you'd like to learn a little more." Sojin winks at Ah Joong before getting to her feet.
@[V] Sojin as her sister places her hand on ah joong's back, she nods tentatively, drinking in the words the older has to offer. though she dislikes violence, she knows that there's a chain of life that exists, and for her to thrive, another has to perish. she doesn't like that very much, but it's just the life she was given, and she has to deal with it, much like the many others who disliked their kind for the exact same reason.
when sojin utters her next words, however, a small thrum settles in the pit of ah joong's stomach, and it takes a few seconds of rolling the words in her mind before she bolts up from her seat. "are -- you're serious?" she questions, eyes alight. "you're letting me hunt?" a breathless kind of giggle escapes from her, and she can't help but pounce on the other with delight, excited words of gratitude escaping from her lips as she does so.
"i'm hunting," she says to herself once more after she settles off of her sister, tasting the words on her tongue. "i can't believe it."
@[V] Ah Joong Sojin nods as she listens to the other. She knew this day would come for Ah Joong and she was pretty much prepared for it. Every vampire needs to reach this point at some time. It was just hard for her to imagine letting her younger sister run off to hunt without knowing much about the dangers of outside their mansion.
"I understand." Sojin smiles once again before placing a cold hand over the other's back. "Let me just remind you that there are people who are out to kill us and this Kingdom isn't the kindest to those who are like us." She lectures the other before stopping herself, "Although, I'm sure you already know that." Silence comes in between them for a while before Sojin turns back towards her.
"I'm allowing you to hunt, but for the first few times you'll be coming with me." She states while looking Ah Joong straight in the eyes. "I can't let you go un-experienced just yet."
@[V] Sojin with an unsure smile, ah joong slowly turns her seated position to face the older. "well," she hesitates, "i -- well, i've been getting hunger pains, again." with every word she speaks, her voice shrinks in volume. it isn't that she's afraid of what her sister will think, but that it's such a trivial issue that she's sure sojin will think of her as a child. "they're not terrible, it's just -- sometimes i smell the humans going through the forest, and i just want to... well..." she trails off.
"i know you worry about us, though," the younger laughs. "you worry about us more than you should, what with everyone else you have to worry about as well." she pats sojin's forearm, rubbing the skin there for good measure. "i'm almost as old as you are; i have to try to take care of my own issues, too."
@[V] Ah Joong Everything seemed so solemn. It was slightly unnerving to her. Sojin shook her head wondering if she should pry into the other's mind but it might cause a bigger issue. "Are you sure? I feel like you have something to say." She says trying to figure out what could be wrong. "You know, this could bother me the whole day. I don't like secrets so much, especially when my siblings are the ones keeping it from me." It was a warning but less stern than it should have been. She sighs and gazes at the other, "It's hard not to worry about you guys, you know?"
@[V] Sojin the younger bites her lip. curse her tendency to keep talking when she was in the middle of a thought. "ah -- it's nothing that important," ah joong tries, her pink lips curving into a fragile smile. though she loves her sister dearly, the other is already busy as the leader of a large clan and taking care of her other siblings, and so her hunger automatically places the lowest on that list.
"it's not a serious issue," she rephrases firmly, eyes turning to the waters once more. "don't worry about me, sister."
@[V] Ah Joong Sojin smiles brightly down at her sister, it was a smile that she only gave to her fellow vampires and more specifically, her family. "Indeed. We should be grateful to the witches for building our mansion nearest here." Her eyes scan the surroundings before picking up the sound of rustling leaves. It really was a quiet day.
She listened when the other spoke again but glanced towards the other when she had abruptly stopped. Sojin took a seat right beside the other before turning her head to look at Ah Joong. "That what, my dear?" She was genuinely curious if this was anything she was to worry about. She had a tight lock around her siblings and anything out of the ordinary would cause her to think too much.
@[V] Sojin ah joong releases a tiny yelp as she felt fingers rake through her long hair, but when the other speaks, she relaxes her stance and turns with a smile. "sojin!" she chirrups, eyes on her sister as the other comes into view. "i was waiting for you. it certainly is nice here." the younger twists her neck to give the lake another glance. "it's very serene here. the waters really do clear my mind, like you said it would. and it's far away that --"
here, she pauses and bites her upper lip to keep quiet, words cutting off in thin air. she didn't want the older to be worrying over her and her heightened senses for mortal blood.
@[V] Ah Joong Sojin strolls down the forest path leading to the lake. Her eyes flickers to a close just as she exhales out a sigh. It was a peaceful noon and she had promised ah joong she would meet her at this time. Clear waters soon come into view and just as she had expected, her sister was already there. Sojin silently inches towards the other before running long fingernails through locks of the other's hair.
"Isn't this nice?" A small smile creeps onto her lips as she fixes her eyes towards her sister. "I'm glad you made it."
ah joong stares serenely into the waters of the lake, the reflective surface allowing her to stare back at herself and examine her every feature. she notices her eyes have been more tinged with a reddening gold as of late, notices the sharpening of her cheekbones and her pale complexion grow more pallid with each passing day she doesn't feed. biting her lower lip with a frustrated sigh, the young woman allows her fingers to glide over the water, small tendrils of transparent currents left behind from her small actions.
a long lock of her hair escapes from its place behind her ear, threatening to dip into the water, and with a smooth motion, she slides it back behind her ear. as she does so, she wonders if sojin will come like the other promised she would.
