I've heard that there is this weird snake alligator thing that lives
in the pool. Just to be sure, I brought Mike the Dino.

@Lee Sung Kyung There was a chirp of amusement in the back of Godfrey's throat as he regarded the girl. It was rather funny, the noise she made, because he could practically read her expression right there. She was a student studying literature, he could only assume that she had some sort of passion in writing and the industry which meant she probably would find his line of work rather interesting. When she skipped over the subject, though, despite the spark in her eyes, he let it slide, figuring the time would come when everything would come into place. He didn't like to test fate, preferring to go with the flow, wherever it may take him. Which is probably how he ended up a single man, living in the country with a puppy and a weird family.

"So I'm a demon and a god? Hmm... I didn't think I would ever live to see the day where I could be two mythical creatures in one time," he mused, brushing his hair away from his face and vowing to get a haircut. "I sometimes get that description, though mostly I don't end up having conversations with strangers and following them home," he answered, grinning as they stepped onto the threshhold of her home. He glanced around, thoroughly amazed by the comfortable aesthetic of her home. He kind of felt like living here himself, but he didnt' feel like moving all over again. If it was possible to just snap his fingers and get this interior inside his home, he would have taken it. "Wow... Humble maybe, but glorious. I can feel the creative energy just... Do you mind if I take pictures of this? This is exactly what I had pictured as the setting for one of the sets in a book we're creating into a motion picture. I'd like our set experts to recreate this," he said with amazement lined in every word, staring around brilliantly and curiously like a child.

@Admin⟡Godfrey Gao⟡ Sung Kyung's mind was a whir of heady anticipation and unbounded imagination. Her eyes brightened at the thought of depicting something so _____ and desirous... If nothing else, Godfrey was statuesque, and she was sure she could endow him in a darker form of seduction through the use of just a piece of lead. His voice sent her spiraling back to the present and she turned, quirking her head a bit to regard him. Wait... He was a publisher? "You- Wait, what?" she almost squawked, slowing her steps before approaching him head on to peer up at him- eyes widening from the potency of her shock. For books... And here she was, an aspiring writer hoping to leave some sort of mark on this world. Immediately an amused grin fell upon her lips and she shook her head at the coincidence of it all. No... She couldn't ask him to sponsor her or take her on. Hell no. Truth be told, she was already technically 'using' him for inspiration. What gave her the right to demand much else? What's more she believed in the value of grueling, hard work more than dropping for a couple of 'short-cuts'. No... She definitely wouldn't ask him of that.

"I mean... Wow, no wonder you're so buff. You've the body of Adonis, actually," she admitted, opting to veer the topic away from his career. At his generous compliment and tempting offer, however, a soft smile graced her lips. "Here I am, some strange girl asking to draw you in her apartment and..." she shakes her head again, her amusement growing as she continues to lead them. "Not only do you agree, but now you think I'm pretty? Mr. Gao, tell me something. Do people ever describe you as 'unorthodox'?" Not that it bothered her... She was depicted in the same light, and she honestly loved those who ceased to surprise her. Finally they made it to the doorway of her complex and she dug into her pocket to retrieve her card. Swiping inside, she stepped through the door as it unlatched and headed through the main building and down the hall. "Um, welcome to my humble abode, I guess..." she shrugged with a half-grin as she led them back outside and towards an area with actual suites. Hers was tucked away in a corner, a tall but narrow loft cradled along the outskirts of the complex. "And when I say 'humble', I kinda mean it."

@Lee Sung Kyung The quick speed in which her reply came brought on another surge of laughter. Godfrey found it endearing how someone could be so confident in themselves. It was something that many people were lacking these days and with an industry as fragile as the one they were living in he was sure the girl could find herself a job in her domain. Even if the field was dying. She had enough gusto to hold her own anywhere and he could see it in the very way she walked. The sway of her hips and the arch in her back, the way her chin tilted slightly upwards in the most natural of ways and her shoulders squared in defiance against the world. Yeah, she was special alright, and in the light of the sun she looked like a downright angel. Or a sun goddess. She could have put those Greek gods to shame.

"Well, I work in publishing," he stated simply, not sure how in depth she intended for him to go. Most people thought his line of work boring. Probably because they couldn't understand that it could be a fast paced environment. Every book they worked with was a new adventure. Every author was a new challenge. There was never a dull moment. Unless he had to work with the copyrights folks or had to re-read the same manuscript fourteen times in a two week process. "And I'm fit because I'm a bit of an exercise junkie. You need to be to keep stable and happy in this life. You probably work out too since you have a gorgeous body. Actually, we have a new book coming out in one of our sectors and we need models... Perhaps you could leave me your coordinates so I could see what my associates think of my idea," he suggested, already squaring her up on the cover with the font and the byline set up in his mind.

@Admin⟡Godfrey Gao⟡ Sung Kyung swayed from side to side, alternating between the balls of her feet as she waited. She had to admit, she was rather excited... It'd been so long since she'd seen or found ANYTHING that really grabbed her attention, so she pardoned herself for sort of latching onto this man. The moment she heard the stall door swing open, she spun on heel and approached him immediately, donning a smirk as he questioned her words. "That you are! Don't be so shocked. I'm sure you already know you're a work of 'art'," she teased as he checked his reflection. As he exited, she fell into step beside him, a soft chuckle falling from her lips. "I mean, if I were you, I'd be... But, hey, if you're the type who reads better novels and sees better art on the daily, then to each his own." Though she really kind of DID hope she'd impressed him... I mean, it made his inclination towards her request way easier.

Crinkling her nose in thought, she blinked as sunlight spilled over them in a halo and immediately peered over to him. Aw, hell... Even then, the man was radiating his own 'shine' that rivaled that of the summer sun. "Mine," she responded immediately, peeling her hazel gaze off of him like Velcro. "I'm literally right down the street. Unless you live next door to this place, I think I'm probably closer." With a cheeky grin she turned down the sidewalk, half-expecting him to follow, gliding along the pavement with a mood far more lifted. She began musing of ways she could depict him... Perhaps holding a bitten crimson apple or maybe donning contrasting white robes... Or better yet nothing at all. The thought of this sent out a whole new waiver that Godfrey would have to consider... "What do you do, anyway? For a living? You seem hella fit, but-" she peered back at his formal attire. "Most coaches don't go out looking so chic."

@Lee Sung Kyung Godfrey was quick to change, throwing on the regular loose button up and pressed slacks he went to work with. He hadn't had the time to go home - living pretty far out from the city - so he'd just come in straight from the office. Not being in the water he was finally able to prop his glasses onto the bridge of his nose, humming and slinging his wet things into a plastic bag before tucking it into the duffel he kept in the trunk of his car for these reasons. He was surprised to find that the girl hadn't run off, but then again... She had followed him as far as the change room so he couldn't really be surprised that she was still there. He was all the more surprised, though, that she seemed to want to spend more time with him. "Uh, I am your muse?" he repeated, his eyebrows raised as he sprayed himself with some cologne and made sure he looked alright in the mirror.

"So you're a Lit student /and/ an artist?" he asked, grinning as he slung his bag over one shoulder. "I should be impressed, shouldn't I?" He nodded towards the door, wanting to escape the smell of chlorine and the sound of the screaming toddler that was shrieking bloody murder outside somewhere in the pool area. He'd had enough loud mouthed people at the office, this was not something he wanted. "Do you want to come to my place to draw, your place? Or should we meet somewhere more communal and less suspicious when two strangers first meet like a coffee house or something? Though I promise, this incubus is not going to do anything to you in your sleep... On the first meeting," he teased, pushing open the door to the exit and smiling up at the bright summer sky and the rush of warm air that rushed over him. God he loved this season. It was hellish to run in, but it lifted his spirits about nine thousand miles all the way up to cloud nine.

Sung Kyung almost flinched at the sudden eruption of laughter, needless to say she was incredibly amused by its occurrence. She actually liked when people did that, laughed or smiled without much concern over how they looked doing it. Sure, the man still looked rather dashing, but this way- in this light- it brought out a childlike wonder in him that made him seem far more... human. The smile upon her lips only widened and as he headed to the changing room, she brought it upon herself to follow. Despite how... probably invasive that may have seemed. Boundaries were never really her strong suit, but luckily it seemed that the other didn't mind it. She tested the name on her tongue, brows furrowing at how deliciously foreign the first part sounded. At the back of her mind, she wondered where this man was from...

"Godfrey Gao it is, then..." she acquiesced. "Society isn't ready for such _____ appeal to be acknowledged anyway." Sung Kyung spoke almost flippantly, as if she didn't realize that she'd complimented his looks in a rather roundabout manner. But as she saw the man depart to a stall, she immediately turned to give him his privacy- despite, of course, the fact that said stalls had doors... "Uh... Actually, I was wondering..." There really wasn't a way to ask of this and still come out appearing nominally 'sane', so she went for it head-on, much like she tended to approach most situations. "You know how you're, well... basically my muse? I mean, that has to be it since I can't seem to get you out of my head." Of course... That was legitimately the only reason... It had to be. "So I was wondering if I could, maybe, draw you? Sketch out your profile or something so I can actually picture how you'd look in your, uh-" She held up her hands to emphasize air quotes. "Creature form."

Godfrey unleashed another boisterous laugh at the girl's less than smooth cover up. He tilted his head back, parting his lips and let it roar out from his belly for a quick few moments before shaking his head to chortle away the rest of his amusement more quietly. He led her to the communal changing room, walking right in and heading towards the cubby he had claimed for himself with his lock. He punched in the code while she introduced herself, only turning his head with a smile when she brought up the succubus again.

"My name is Godfrey, Godfrey Gao," he introduced, pulling out a towel and swinging it around his shoulders and doing a half assed attempt at drying himself. "Unless you want to insist on calling me incubus or succubus, but you know, sometimes I might not respond to that call... So to be safer, and for your safety in public, I would at least insist upon using my real name," he hummed in a teasing manner, grabbing his clothes and heading towards one of the changing stalls. He had to get home to Henry and feed that puppy's little behind before he tore up yet another pair of his shoes that he had locked in the closet but that somehow the dog managed to figure out. He was a genius that thing.

@Admin⟡Godfrey Gao⟡ Though Sung Kyung prided herself in her knowledge of mythical creatures, even she- loathe to admit it- was a human capable of a few funks every now and again. She hand't even caught her mistake until the mirth played out on the other's face. Oh.... Oh, well then. Immediately she felt a heat rise to her cheeks for making such a rookie mistake. Of course... Succubi were females, so basically she'd just called him feminine. "Dammit," she hissed softly under her breath before trying to right herself. "I was just testing your knowledge you know! And, bravo~" she began clapping lightly, sitting up to regard him with a slightly wider range. "You've passed the test." The test that she'd crafted in her mind JUST THEN in order to try and save face. But really, she already knew how obvious she was.

So enrapt in her thoughts and musings, Sung Kyung ended up jolting just a bit as the other raised himself from the pool. Her blinks slowed to ceasing as her eyes tracked the droplets streaming from his chest and pooling around his feet. Dammit, this man really was a sort of Korean Adonis- of that she was most certain of. "You will," she responded, arching an eyebrow. Slowly, she ascended to her feet, using the rise as a way of hiding the shifting of her gaze all along his lean figure. It was swiftly becoming all the more difficult not to touch... something. Anything. "Sung Kyung.... Lee Sung Kyung. Pleased to meet your acquaintance, but I'm sure you get that all the time." And this time, it was merely a guess, not so much an accusation of any form. But her fingers wriggled lightly at her sides to signal her anxiety. She needed to draw... She needed to draw HIM, strewn along a couch and perching just as seductive as if he'd been born there. She needed to collect the perfect angles and images, but perhaps she'd be better off doing it on her own. She knew well enough how to instruct a model, and it meant she'd be given a longer time with this man. "And you are? Already established that 'succubus' wasn't your name-" Dammit, he'd never forgive himself. "So mind telling me what I can call you? Or, you know, /if/ I could."

@Lee Sung Kyung This was getting more and more amusing as the minutes ticked by. Godfrey let the girl ramble, finding entertainment in the quick babble of her voice, the syllables slurring almost in her haste to explain herself. He just found it rather funny how she had just called him a succubus, which was basically a female demon who _____ed men while they were sleeping. He tilted her head at the end of her ramble and offered her a sly smirk. "I believe the term you're searching for is incubus... Which is a male demon who sleeps with females while they're sleeping no? And the succubus is a female one?" he asked whilst biting his lower lip. Deciding this conversation needed a better scenery he hoisted himself out of the pool, the muscles in his arms rippling as he lifted his body out of the water. Streams of water slid down his body like small waterfalls, pooling up underneath him and his suit as he sat on the edge, giving anything shake to his head before standing up. He was six feet tall on a good day (he liked to think that sometimes he shrunk when the weather was grey) and with her squatting down the way she was, he was easily able to tower over her. "Now, little succubus, Lit. student, swimming in her clothes... Am I going to get to know your name?" he asked, whilst motioning for her to follow him so he could grab his towel.

@Admin⟡Godfrey Gao⟡ The laugh she'd conjured from the other was so energetic, almost thunderous, in ways that made her crack a smile without even thinking. It took quite a bit to do that... To provide Lee Sung Kyung menial amusement without the means of food or beautiful havoc. And as he threaded fingers through those inky, glistening locks, she couldn't help but fight down the desire to reach out and do the same. "Yeah, actually... Hell of a shame. It's such a great field to be in." As it was... If only her parents felt the same about it. "But that's probably because everyone's out fighting for blue-collar, high-payers. Doctors and lawyers started trumping writers ages ago..." She was in the wrong era, stuck in a time where fantasy and lyrical wit no longer held a candle to how many accolades were tacked onto your name... And just as she'd deemed them capable of having a normal conversation appropriate for polite society, she realized, to her horror, that he'd heard her...

Oh... Dammit.

"I... About that." It wasn't as if she could really come up with a valid excuse. Not without spilling the beans on her 'work' anyway. "You know how I'm a Lit. student, right? I focus on fantasy... All my works are fictional and I like to hone in on myths and ancient legends," she explained, shrugging her shoulders as nonchalantly as if she were merely telling him the weather. This was usually the part in which her conversant would stare at her in shock for a few beats before retreating. It happened all the time seeing as, clearly, she just wasn't a creature of 'normal' habits. So what had she to lose by saying more..? "I said that because, to be honest, you remind me of one... A succubus." Hopefully this guy hadn't a clue what it was, and merely thought it to be some ridiculous street slang.
