Haein took special note of how Gunwoo put down the picture, her frown deepening when she realized what exactly was in the frame. With one hand balanced on the dalmatian, she pushed herself up into a sitting position, chewing the inside of her lip anxiously while she tried to formulate an answer that wouldn't be too obnoxiously cliche. It didn't come to her. "A sign wouldn't do anything," she lied, knowing that if there was one, she probably would have listened to it and shut herself out underneath her bed. "I just wanted to talk ... Or play a game or something, so we could distract ourselves. We used to do that when we were younger," she murmured, referencing the times they had pulled out the game of Life and traveled the years together, exclaiming how all of these things were going to come true one day. "Do you still have the game? I can't find it in my room."

@Admin⟡Haein⟡ He almost jumped out of his skin and kicked her out when she jumped onto his bed but instead of doing so, his body just twitched in annoyance. No words came out of his mouth. He just sat there and listened to the voice that irked him so as it got closer to him. Although he didn't know when he had picked it up, he was holding a picture in his hand. A picture of himself as a toddler. He could just stare at the picture and pretend she wasn't there. Maybe then, she'd figure out how much he didn't want to speak to her. Although that was kinda unlikely. She always stayed anyway. He felt like she was too nosey. Didn't she have friends to go shopping with or have sleepovers with? Rolling his eyes at the thought, he decided to cooperate. No use in being a complete jerk. Turning to face her, he blinked once with the same deadpan look on his face and spoke. "The question is what are /you/ doing? I should put a sign on my door or something. Maybe that'll keep you on the other side." with that, he stood up and put the picture back on his desk. Nope. He was still being a complete jerk. Now he just can't help it.

@Gunwoo Haein shuffled her feet at the cold tone of her brother, stalling in the doorway only to walk in fully after a few moments of waiting with bated breath. She let Chance jump up onto his bed, wondering if that would annoy him enough to send her out and hoping it wouldn't. "I just wanted to talk," she muttered, her voice low as she clicked the door shut and moved to sit on the edge of his bed. She spent another couple seconds staring at her older brother, wondering what was running through his mind before she worked up enough courage to talk to him some more. "What are you doing?" she asked, peering over his body to try and see if there was anything interesting on his lap. She should have brought a board game or something to try and break the tension. Or a deck of cards so they could play Crazy Eights or Go Fish. Something they had done when they were younger. Before she'd gotten sick. Before the fighting had started. Before Gunwoo had started to loathe her very existence.

@Admin⟡Haein⟡ It was happening again. The screaming and yelling and occasional random-innocent-object-to-floor-crash that made him flinch. His parents were at it again. Who knew what it was about this time. Who knows what started all of this in the first place. It hadn't been like this always. Gunwoo was sure he had an idea of what or more specifically who had started this. He could remember only a bit of his life before her, seeing how he was really young then. But he figured it was probably way better. He knew it was wrong of him to not think about her illness but that's what was taking up most of the money they had. Although, it's not like they had it bad or anything. They lived in a house, with a room for each of them. They were completely fine. Call him selfish though, he couldn't stand the mere thought. Now, everything about her annoyed the crap out of him. How happy she was about every little thing even though she was ill. How enthusiastic about life she was, meanwhile she was stuck with a dis-functional family. Just her voice, made him upset. He could kind of hear it now. Actually, he was hearing it. He looked up from his desk and nodded his head toward the door. "You could knock." was all he said to her.

It was difficult not to hear the constant shouting of her parents. THere had been a time that they had tried to be discreet about it but then as time wore on they started paying elss and less attention, their voices increasing in volume the more they got into it. Haein was on her bed, trying to block it out with the sweet music from her classical CD while cuddlling up to the back of her dalmatian friend. The puppy had been a gift from her aunts, who, unlike her parents, didn't seem to care that she had been adopted when she was just a baby. As far as they were concerned, she was family, and they helped financially when they could when her treatments for her illness got too much. She tried boosting up the volume another notch as her thoughts drifted to her brother. What was he doing? Probably resenting her existence no doubt? Times were tough for all of them. She never expected people to be happy with her illness but her elder brother, birthed by her adoptive parents, seemed to be left out by their parents at times and that manifested itself in odd ways. Unable to take it anymore she got up from the bed, Chance close at her heel, and walked to her brother's room, opening it up without knocking. "Oppa?" she called out, not spotting him at first glance thanks to the dizzy spells she always got when standing up.
