@⚣ rohit k。 ✘ [h] Luhan puffed his cheeks "are you sure? you might not love the food" he smiles "well I have been thinking of going to a Chinese restaurant for a while, do you like their dishes?" he chuckled softly and poked his lover's cheek.
@⚣ l。 han ✓ Rohit was on full alert as soon as they left the comfort of their apartment building to head onto the streets of seoul, his lover was pulled tightly to his body as they walked" mmm nope you pick my love, it's only fair"
@⚣ rohit k。 ✘ [h] Luhan tugged his lover to the streets of Seoul, he never been so happy walking outside with someone "So, what do you want to eat for dinner?" he asks happily and points out a few restaurants around the street "you choose okay?" he chuckled and looked up to his lover.
The inspector made his point: he was here to collect, run diagnostics and be pretty, for all Yuta knew. The government didn’t send their dogs out to him and that was a strategy he only registered as a way to not see their employees get manipulated or threatened. He felt almost sad for the guy who maybe had to put up with the contrary of friendly on a daily basis.
“I am tense a little. Call that perfectionism.” Small talk was welcome although he still had no idea how much he should fear the guy. His phone would get a text if his sensible data was accessed and he’d rather set his office on fire than even take the risk to be compromised; but what he’d later wish he’d have thought of was the photography of his systems. They’d notice that most of his files were hidden, like a box filled with air. Transparent by taking the kind of room that could not be ignored.
“If it can reassure you, I’m a lab rat and I’m tense the moment someone walks in though I’m kind of supposed to meet clients more often than not.” He wasn’t even lying; everything was just easier when virtual. Points got across with just words; body language was off the table along with appearances and presentation.
He jumped at the sound signalling the end and relaxed. To him this was the end and he’d never know what this stranger would think of his business and that was alright. He smiled and received the card with both hands, reading the name he had been told before.
“Of course feel free to call. I’ll answer your questions.”
Yuta was serene, he even smiled at the other, thinking that at least, the government sent pretty boys no one would wish to be rude to despite their reporting role. He walked him to the door and opened it for him.
“Have a nice day, Mister Cha.” /May we never meet again./
"Well you can address that with the proper entity. I will not personally be handling any hardware exchange." Eunwoo kept his response short, he wasn't properly trained in reading body language, but his parents being performers always had to "read the crowd". Match their energy with the audience. And they had taught Eunwoo those skills. Yuta was unimpressed with him, which wasn't too surprising. Eunwoo had disrupted his business and started "snooping", unannounced and uninvited. He also seemed nervous? Eunwoo found that a bit strange, the man didn't seem to have any reason to be nervous.
"You seem tense." Eunwoo remarked casually. He wanted to make small talk to show that he wasn't some drone meant to rat him out the government. He was just doing a job. Really, Yuta's shop had done very well on the onsite inspection and he seemed very willing to cooperate with the system inspection also. It led Eunwoo to think he had nothing to hide and that he would receive a pass. But of course Eunwoo wasn't to offer his own insight and merely complete the steps on the assessment sheet he had been giving. The computer 'dinged' signaling the end of the assessment and Eunwoo removed the drive tucking it back into its secure case.
"Well that concludes things, you maybe be getting a call from me if I happened to miss any questions." Eunwoo handed the man a card that had his name and business number.
@♂ c。 eunwoo Yuta’s eyes went from the officer’s face to the papers he held and of course he could tell these were the rules, sterile words for agents to say regardless of where they went and what that were to find. The content of the analysis did not surprise him because he had read it online, still he felt himself getting nervous as he mentally scanned his installation for any door he’d have left open, any decor falling apart. It was too late to do a thing now, and certainly would he have to try and hack into the IT security organization later to clear his files, nothing he dreamt of.
“Sure, take the time you need” and get out empty handed, he thought. He watched as the program was initialized and hoped his own firewall would not be too obvious to the program scanning his computer. His own computer was programmed to set up fences, limits so that the any look into his computer would be banal. His own computer would analyze the data introduced and give him a report later, something he couldn’t wait to read so as to know what were the real intentions of the surveillance.
“So this visit is to change my material if it doesn’t suit norms? For free?” Yuta said with the beginning of a smile that hinted on how it did not suit him. “I buy my components myself and compose my techs. I’d rather not have them changed. Without trying to sound presumptuous I doubt the criteria of your organization would be enough for me to work from home on the security of networks.” He said and sat carefully as if on eggs. Oh this program seemed bad, real bad, worse than what he had heard of or expected.
@♂ n。 yuta "Thank you for your cooperation. Is this the computer you use to conduct business? I'll have to run a diagnostic. This software is copyrighted so you are not allowed to use the device or leave my sight while the program is running. The program will test processing speeds, memory usage and battery efficiency. It will not last very long, and the assessment will be stored on the drive and sent to the necessary government organization for analysis." Eunwoo tried to be subtle about the fact he was reading his lines directly from the clipboard, but he was sure that the man could tell. He quickly pulled the external drive from its case on the clipboard and attached it to the computer. He looked back at the owner with a polite smile.
"If your computer is found not to be compliant with regulations. You will be given a notice to transfer necessary files to storage and your business will receive a newer model." Eunwoo reassured the man as he was instructed.
While Eunwoo thought the program was a simple diagnostic test, it was actually a program meant to copy every file on the computer and store it in tiny encrypted compressed files on the drive and scan the network for any remote access computers and copy the files from those also.
@♂ c。 eunwoo Yuta's smile disappeared shortly as he realized the other could be around his age yet very serious about his work. He watched what the public servant was interested in, taking his own notes for later. The data of IT were a little more protected online and he didn't try to access them only because he figured they'd be locks everywhere to see which of them IT workers had the skills to potentially do illegal virtual break-ins. He believed the control would be routine, nothing in details and thus the question took him aback. It could be innocent and pertaining to the routine but since he did perform premium services off the book, doubts filled his head while it shook with an apologetic smile. "Except when contracted by firm to do temporary works, from upgrading their security to fighting a nasty trojan horse. But those are contracts listed on this business' fields." Of course he wouldn't admit anything illegal, anything he was confident no one could get a trace of. He walked off the desks to make himself tea to cater to his dry throat. He had masked it well so far but he sure was a little tense. In that time, he looked anywhere but at the inspector; getting the impression his cheeks were burning up.
"I had detailed everything online." Everything legal alright. "Prices and everything." He was good about taxes for everything he declared of course. It was how to not bring attention to himself.
"If there's a contract or bill you'd like to see, it all organized in the bottom drawer next to you. But I can help you look if you want to save time." He offered; anything to have it over in about: now.
@♂ n。 yuta "Nice to meet you, Yuta. This won't take very long. I have to write and ask you questions, so I decline the offer of refreshments." Eunwoo said looking around. He had his clipboard ready clicking his pen and checking off the appropriate boxes that asked him to asses the tidiness and organization of the shop. He pulled out his thermostat and assessed the moisture and temperature of the shop, writing down the numbers for someone else to assess.
"Do have any premium services or business for which you are the IT provider?" Eunwoo went down list of steps he was supposed to complete. Everything had been laid out for him which he was immensely thankful for since his knowledge of tech was very limited. He even began to question why he himself and also the bank system was responsible for basically completing a full audit. But he wasn't in a position to question so he simply did as he was told.
@♂ c。 eunwoo Yuta kept the shop tidy, because techs reacted badly to dust. It was tiny yet well ordered, computer hidden in colored boxes of different shapes. His computer behind the desk had veveral sceens and hard drives to not only run physical diagnostics but also to assist clients remotely. He had learnt all he could from his father, and notably the financial and administrative tasks surrounding the activity. Yuta was infact confident about his small business. Now what he was less prompt to share were the activities off the books, paid a higher price for their illegal nature and hidden without much traces on his computer. He knee that bureaucrats knew nothing of IT past the meaning of the acronym, still he politely greeted the worker.
"Hi, I'm Yuta, owner of Infinitechs." He said and bowed, still taken aback to be the only owner now. He would feel pride fill his lungs for keeping his father's business afloat. "I think you already sae pretty much of the establishment so I will let you sit at my desk while I will finish today's due repairs. Would you like something to drink? Coffee? Juice?" He asked making room for the computer whose admin session was locked and a screen guest session was opened already to prevent the manual access to all he did for a living. "A snack maybe?"
@♂ n。 yuta The Business Appraisal Committee was the latest in the government's efforts to keep the city safe, clean and optimal. Banks around the metropolitan area were to form a team of three to four members that would visit privately owned business and assess how viable and productive they were. Following the very detailed and specific guidelines for inspection the government gave them. They would write up a final evaluation and submit accompanying data after two to three visits to their assigned businesses. Eunwoo had been tasked with visiting a small tech shop, existing for nearly two decades without any legal or financial trouble, Eunwoo believed it would be simple. He approached the business close to midday, figuring it would be a decently busy time when he complete his assessment without the owner hovering over him and also witness how they worked.
"Hello." He said hesitantly entering the shop. "Inspector Cha here." He added after a moment.
