@ˢ choi yeonjun ravn had found himself exploring the campus and getting used to it quite quickly, no matter how big it seemed at first. so his next idea was to see the places near the school. he finds himself walking aimlessly in the mall, finding things he thinks would make good gifts before realizing he has a whole total of 0 people to give such a thing to. it was sad to say that the mafia members were his only "friends", but they really were. ravn's developed cold personality and words usually seemed to scare people off, and well- he wasn't sure if he wanted to know someone over just laughing at them either. his thoughts are easily broken though, at the sound of some noise that sounds awful like struggling noises. ravn contemplates if he should just leave the area, but he goes to check and what's going on. he sees a boy who he can, oddly, recognize- from the academy, he supposes- but the boy is being hit up against a wall. while ravn supposes he could just leave, he also figures that helping this boy won't do anything bad. so he walks in on the fight, grabbing the arm of the person who had just punched the other and twisting it strongly. it was a basic movie that ravn had learnt was a good follow up to practically anything else, at least based off of his fighting experiences. "pick on people your size, will you? a group against 1 person.. how pathetic." he said with a slight chuckle leaving him at the end of the words, as he slowly increased the amount of power he was putting in.
@ᴴ lalisa manoban I nod and take the bags "Na I don't mind at all. so the uh cafe is down this way." I say and and start towards an elevator "Oh, I'm Jinsol by the way nice to meet you"
@ᴴ kim youngjo it had been far to long since yeonjun had actually left campus so he was grateful for a little escape. ever since he had discovered his abilities, he quickly realized he hardly had any control over them and it could get dangerous if he even made one mistake. luckily, it happened to be snowing so he had an excuse to go out in gloves, a sort of containment to his powers. with no set destination in mind, the boy simply wandered around the mall, window shopping at all the useless things he'd never need or really use. his silent battle between buying an air fryer or not was quickly interrupted by a cry that was accompanied by a crash. turning his head to the side, he caught sight of a group of males that seemed to be cornering an obviously weaker one. "no, no, choi yeonjun. do not get involved. who knows what could happen," he muttered under his breath as he forced himself to look away. the next thing he knew, he was striding over to the group and grabbing the leader's arm, yanking him away from the victim. curse his innate desire to help others, he silently scolded himself. "hey, let's settle this with words, alrig --" before he could even finish his sentence, a crashed against the wall as a fist made sharp contact with his cheek.
@ᴴ lee jinsol I smile warmly, standing myself up and coming over to your side. "Sounds great, let's do it!" I giggle, holding up my fist as if to cheer us on on our adventure. :Oh, uhh, sure." I hold out my right wrist to you, which had two bags on it. "If you wouldn't mind, I appreciate it."
@ᴴ lalisa manoban "ooh yea I would like that.. I uh thanks, there's a good place one floor up by the elevators." She smiles looking more relaxed then before but still a little nervous. Which is how she felt, she's not worrying about he accident anymore. but instead hopping she doesn't stumble and stutter to much to scare the other one off. "ooh hey do you want some help with those bags? I don't mind.. i do got some free hands"
@ᴴ lee jinsol “Oh, no of course not! I wasn’t watching where I was going, it’s my fault” I wave my hand in a shooing manner to your worrying, giving you a reassuring smile that I felt no offense. I double check that I have everything, and it was just the one little bag, and when i know everything’s in place, I let out a breathe I didn’t realize I had been holding. I look up at you upon your offer. “You don’t have to, it’s ok.” I shake my head, “but, I would be happy to buy my own coffee and sit and chat?” I tilt my head playfully in my offer.
@ᴴ lalisa manoban "yea I'm fine too, really. just hope your not upset or anything either. sorry for not paying more attention to where I was going" she nods "uh... uh are you busy? m,maybe i could get you a coffee or something?"
"yea I'm fine too, really. just hope your not upset or anything either. sorry for not paying more attention to where I was going" she nods "uh... uh are you busy? m,maybie i could get you a coffee or something?"
@ᴴ lee jinsol Seeing the other was ok, Lisa smiled in relief and nodded “Yeah, I’m fine, sorry about that.” Lisa looked around for the bags she had dropped, spotting the small little bag that had slide a couple feet, walking over to it and kneeling down, awkwardly trying to pick it up, and check that everything was still in it dispite the spill, with again 4 other bags attached to her wrists. “Are you sure you’re ok?” She looked up at the shy girl, double checking that she hadn’t hurt her in anyway.
@ᴴ lalisa manoban (it's fine)
Jinsol eeps as she runs into something and almost drops her phone in surprise but just managed to catch it, she looks up and epps again noticing she ran into a person. "ooh gosh sorry,.. I, yea I'm okay, are you? wow you got a lot of bags there." she then quickly put her phone back in her purse, and looks over at the girl looking to see if she's okay. and then starting to fidget with her sweater a bit as she waits for an answer
@ᴴ lee jinsol (Hi! Sorry I’m late in responding >3<)
Lisa was walking around the mall, visiting the various stores. She was shopping mainly for her siblings, but she also hid their clothes and things amongst buying herself some new accessories: a new bag to hold books, some earrings and hats. She now walked with multiple bags on her hips. “Thank you” she said, bowing to the lady as she was handed her 5 bag of iteams. She tried to make sure she had a good grip on this one, as this bag was much smaller than the others. Even as she was exiting the store, she kept looking down at her stuff and trying to adjust herself. She attempted to walk a little slower and away to the side closest to the store so she wouldn’t collide with anyone, but it took only seconds for the right side of her body to do just that with another mass, knocking her enough where she dropped two of her bags. “I’m so sorry! Are you ok?” She immidietly looked up to see if the other person was ok.
@ᴴ lalisa manoban Jinsol was wondering around the mall, she had done some window shopping, and picked up a few random things. but she was mainly here as it was a good spot to play Pokemon go, there where a bunch of stops in the mall and often other people around who also where playing the game. so she was able to wonder around and get a lot out of it here, Which is what she was doing right now, since the game required you to actually walk around for your character to move in the game, so she was focused more on what her char was doing in the game then where she was walking.
[] I think for opening posts doing it this way works better. then we can switch for the main rp.
@⭑ ˢ kim jisoo Tiffany massaged her temple with her fingers and knuckles, slowly and intensely, to release her muscles and systems from her previous stress. Let the world go by, nearly forgetting what she had asked Jisoo, though the female was quick to support and show her a water bottle, to which Tiffany's dry throat became even more parched at the sight. "Thank you" she said quickly, as she took the water bottle, unscrewing the cap and simultaneously tilt her head and the bottle backward. It took mere seconds for the bottle to empty, and the meditation teacher let out a much more refreshed sigh upon finishing. She closed her eyes and let the water shift and sit for a minute, tilting her head slowly back to center.
Upon her co-workers calm but concerned question, Tiffany opened her eyes, this time not squinting. The sound proof bubble came down, but all that was left was street noise. There weren't many people by, and though it felt like a small group of bees was migrating on the back of her skull, it was much much better now. "Yes, I'm sorry to have worried you," she said with a bow of apology toward her savior. She still was a bit pale and weary, but Tiffany continued to hold herself up just fine. "I...you know my main ability is Empathy, right?" she first asked. Jisoo and her had talked multiple times before. Tiffany saw her as a very kind person, with a chill personality and good hearted nature. Even so, they had never gone out or spent one on one time together outside of work, and even in work they're chats were brief before they both got busy with responsibilities and classes.
"Well, for Empath's, naturally everyday life is full of being able to feeling other peoples emotions. Some Empath's are more absorbent than others, and some Empath's are just used to distributing emotions instead of taking them in. Emotions are their own type of energy, so Empath's "job"---ability I mean, is to regulate that energy. The problem for me is I am a naturally absorbent Empath without a regulator," Tiffany tucked her loose brown hair behind her ears on both sides, her eyes kind of looking down at points when she talked. She's been struggling alone for so long with this issue; it was a big part of the reason as to why she came to New Hero's, but so far nothing has changed. "So whenever I get into a crowd of people, I get...overstimulated. Each person has their own emotion, most times multiple at once, and these emotions talk to me and get processed through my brain without warning. It's worse and much more clear upon touch. I get much for suseptable though, because others emotional state affects my emotional state directly. Trained Empath's have the ability to hear or feel the "voices"-noise of the emotions, but they let the emotion in and out of themselves, or understand it without attaching to it. I don't have that." she looked up at her co worker, trying to see if she explained things well enough, a little worried she wasn't making sense.
@⭑ ˢ tiffany young jisoo released the comforting arm that she had around tiffany as she sat back up on the bus bench. her eyebrows furrowed in worry, but she could tell that the other was already feeling better from the weak smile that she showed. without missing a beat, jisoo reached into one of her many bags and pulled out a water bottle. she unscrewed the cap and handed it over to the other teacher. "drink as much as you want, the water should help" it was kind of odd that a water manipulator would carry around a store-bought water bottle with her at all times, but she always did for situations like this.
"i'm glad you're feeling better tiff and i'm sure glad that i found you, but are you okay now? and..what happened?" she carefully asked. the gym teacher most definitely wanted to know about the situation that caused tiffany to be in so much pain, but didn't want to intrude. with a wave of her hand, jisoo pulled away the shield of water that was once enveloping them and all of the clear liquid seeped back into her hands and the air. "but you don't have to explain if you don't want to of course."
@⭑ ˢ kim jisoo Tiffany stayed in that position, leaning against Jisoo for a good minute or two, as she listened and leaned into the calmness and caring emotion the water friend was currently experiencing and giving off. Emotional energy was a powerful thing for a Empath- in fact it defied all the laws of a Empath's living style. Depending on how absorbent or how mastered one was to their abilities could they regulate the emotional energy of others and themselves. Tiffany was a very natural and sometimes exstream absorber much more than a giver, which was a gift if you only looked at the social benefits of it (being able to read others very well), but on the other hand it meant she felt everything, and that's a lot for one person to shoulder.
She took deep breathes, as her head was still ringing, but the specific voices and feelings of very large emotions she had passed by minute before were gone for the majority, and all that was left was a headache, but more clearness. To the point where she could now hear the world around her like a average human, and noticed how her co worker was tapping her back gently in a soothing motion, as patient and as giving as ever. She released the girls arm, continuing to take deep breathes as she sat herself up. She felt and looked like she was experiencing a hangover, the way her face scrunched and her eyes squinted.
"Thank you, Jisoo." she told the other, letting out a little smile, as there was a relief and the water bubble was still around them. She sighed, looking down as she ran her hands through her hair, massaging her temple and scalp as she did to try and make the headache lessen."Do you have any water? In a bottle?" she clarified with a chuckle. Of course Jisoo had water. It was just making it socially presentable water. "I-I'm sorry for the fit, thank goodness you were here, I might've passed out in the park otherwise." she said as she rubbed her eyes to try and get them to unsquint.
@⭑ ˢ tiffany young worried, she laid a gentle hand around tiffany and on top of her head as she laid against her shoulder. she couldn't really tell what was wrong, but knew that just sitting there in her arms was the best thing she could do at the moment. "shh, it's okay, i'm here. don't worry about a thing". when the other teacher pulled up her sleeve and relayed a hand on her arm, she was shocked. not because of the sudden touch, but because of how cold it was. jisoo could literally feel her heat disappear and move into the girl's hand, but it seemed like she was gaining something more than just heat. the gym teacher knew tiffany as a co-worker but didn't really know much about her or her powers. in the past she had heard about how emotions affected tiffany, but wasn't really sure if that's what she was doing right now: calming herself down with jisoo's own peaceful self.
her hand moved down to the back of the resting individual and she slowly tapped out a peaceful rhythm; just like how her own mother used to do when she ever needed to calm down. while holding the teacher close to her frame, jisoo continued to float around the thin layer around them. it was incredible what a good sound insulator water could be, and she gazed at the outside world like a fish in a fish bowl. the sidewalks were pretty barren, but the roads were filled with zooming cars with flashing lights. the whole scene looked like it came straight out of a movie to her. silently, jisoo sat on the bench, calmingly waiting to see what she could do next once tiffany gained back her strength.
@⭑ ˢ kim jisoo Tiffany was so absorbed in the voices in her mind, on top of her hair covering her face, she didn't even notice or see her co-worker come over to the bench where she was, trying to get her attention. It was only when she noticed feeling pressure on her arms that there was another person in front of her. With a very delayed reaction, Tiffany's body jolted in a defensive scared flinch, before she met her tear eyes with Jisoo's clear black orbs. She gasped in relief that it wasn't a stranger, also not even realizing she had been holding her breathe for a while now.
"J-Jisoo," she said her name with a crackly, trembling voice, as tears openly fell down her cheeks. She still couldn't hear her, and her head twitched to the right a little as a result of the over stimulation, but trying to hear through it. She watched the other, hands still covering her ears, as she was afraid they were going to start bleeding and she didn't want to make a scene. Tiffany watched as Jisoo made a circular motion around both of them, like creating a rainbow. Since Tiffany was also a water manipulator she could tell that it was water that Jisoo put around them. She slowly uncovered her ears, and sighed. Though her head was still pounding and stuffed, at least she wasn't getting any new emotions or dramas in her head.
Because she was desperate, grateful, and exhausted, Tiffany leaned forward into Jisoo, resting her forehead against the latters shoulder as she tried to take calming breathes while she cried a little. As the gym teacher made contact with the meditation teacher's knee, Tiffany could get a bit of a feeling of calm that Jisoo was experiencing, though there was a hint of concern, it was an emotion that was ten time better than anything she had been receiving for the past hour or so. "Wait" she told her co worker, pulling up the girl's sleeve so she could have skin to skin contact with her arm, holding her there as she absorbed her emotion. Jisoo's calm made Tiffany calmer, and her slower breathing became more natural, as the tears stopped coming. "Just...a minute" she communicated in a hushed voice, feeling so so wiped out, but wanted to be stable.
@⭑ ˢ tiffany young it had been a pleasant day of relaxation. as a teacher on the weekdays, the weekends were the only times jisoo could ever get some alone time and for this weekend, she had chosen to go shopping for some new clothes. from the successful shopping spree, she now sported multiple bags of items on both arms. a hum whistled out as she joyfully walked out of the mall and down the street to the nearest bus station. from a distance, she clearly recognized the figure on the side of the road who also seemed to be waiting for a bus. "tiffany! is that yo-" her voice trailed off once she got closer and got a better view of the other teacher. the individual was obviously shaken and even physically shaking on the bench, clutching herself in agony. gripping onto the handles of her bags, she quickly jogged over to the bus station and first placed the bags onto the bench next to the shaking teacher before kneeling in front of her.
in a soft voice she tried to catch tiffany's attention while also gently laying her hands on the latter's shaking arms. "hey. hey. tiffany? it's me jisoo. you okay?" it surprised her to see tiff in such a state when she's usually such a joy and bubbly personality to be around. it took a second, but she noticed that the shaking individual was covering her ears in desperation which was a clear sign to her that the noises of the world weren't doing anything to help her. jisoo bit her lip in nervousness and quickly scanned their surroundings. thankfully, there was no one around to see her next move. her hand pulsing in power, she curved her arms around herself and tiffany in a circular motion to create a small layer of water around them. it was thin enough to not allow passing citizens to notice that they were covered in a boundary of water, but thick enough to block all of the sounds of the world. her one hand still manipulating the water around them, jisoo placed the other on the teacher's knee in a soft manner. "hey tiffany. can you hear me?"
@⭑ ˢ kim jisoo Gosh this was bad. Tiffany walked quickly, moving past the people she kept having to get through, all of them touching her or brushing her, which just made certain noises and emotions louder in her already over stimulated head. Quickly and subtle were two different things. She was a fool for thinking downtown on a weekend night was an ok way to get back to the New Hero's Campus. Especially when you lost your phone and you were a Empath, which meant you had not means of direction and you were absorbing all the emotions and feelings around you in one sitting. Lust, anger, fear, happiness, mood swings- it was so chaotic, and she felt like she couldn't breathe because there were too many people- too many bodies brushing up on hers.
Tiffany was trying so, so hard not to panic, but she had no idea where she was going, or what she was doing, and she was so over stimulated to the point where she couldn't hear herself think, let alone try to get to a uncrowded street and turn the "right way". Her hands were trembling like crazy, and she held herself in a hug as she moved. 'Don't panic, just breathe' Everytime she made even the slightest contact with someone, it was like another punch in the gut. 'Subway, that is gonna also be packed. Gotta look for a taxi-' She pushed through the crowd, passing by a huge shopping mall which was also attracting a lot of people and drinkers. She bit her lip and kept her head down. There was some cat calling behind her, but she literally couldn't hear it and just kept moving. 'I'm gonna be sick' she thought, as her nerves made her feel nausous.
She saw a bus stop sign across the street, and sighed, nearly running to the light to press the button for the walk sign. Her knees were trembling, and she tapped her foot impaciently on the ground. The seconds were too long before the light changed, and the walk sign . Tiffany practically jogged, still with her arms wrapped around herself, all the way till she reached the empty bench, which she practically fell into as she sat and took a big shaky breathe. She felt really alone, and bit down on her lips as tears formed in her eyes. There was no telling how long until that bus, or even where the bus would take her. She gripped her shirt with her hands as she leaned against the bench sideways, letting her long brown hair cover half of her face as her breathes got shallower.
