@lee hoseok. (/blinks at you then i nod to your question) uh yes i am i moved here like a couple of
weeks ago (/smiles then i shake your hand gently) nice to meet you Hoseok i am
Seolhyun (/lets go of your hand then i put my wallet away but i still stick the money into
your hands) just take the money i'll feel bad for not repaying you and i can repay you with
food too just tell me when we can meet up for lunch or dinner or even breakfast if you like
@kim seolhyun. *though Hoseok appreciated the gesture, he shook his head when you quickly tried to hand him money* Don't worry about it. You're new to town, right? If anything, I'm making it up to you for not being able to properly welcome you sooner. If you really want to pay me back, though, you can treat me the next time we run into each other. I'll never turn down food. *chuckles* I'm Hoseok, by the way. *offers you his hand*
@lee hoseok. (/still checking my wallet and about to pay when i see a rather tall muscular figure stand next
to me and i look up seeing a young man looking quite older than me confused as to why you're
talking to me and i am about to protest to not have you pay but i was too late to say anything
i blink at you smiling in a friendly manner before bowing politely as a thank you) thanks how much
was it? i'll pay you back for it (/fishing out my wallet again looking through it to see how much i have
to pay you back and i take out a random bill holding it out to you) here i'm not sure if it's enough but my
parents always taught me to pay someone back if ever they pay for me or they lend money to me
@kim seolhyun. *the woman at the stall was neatly bagging up his blueberries when Hoseok noticed you sidle up to admire the fruits as well. It was his business to know everyone in town, so he vaguely recognized you as the city girl who'd come to open her own flowershop. He was sure he must have met you shortly after you'd settled in, probably at some town get-together, but he felt a bit guilty that he'd never gotten to actually stop by your shop to properly welcome you. There were so many new faces now, he was almost overwhelmed*
I can get those for ya. Don't worry. *he offered with a warm smile, already having his wallet out to pay for his blueberries. He handed the farmer some extra cash, murmuring 'no change' before he turned to you, moving to place the heavy sack of chicken feed by his feet so he could address you properly* Consider it a belated welcome gift.
@lee hoseok. (/holding some plants that i got from a small flowers shop here at the farmer's market
as i walk around looking to see what else i can buy before i head back to my flower shop to
work on some things i spot some a fruit stand so i walk over looking at the variety of fruits
in front of me wondering which one i should get a small batch of strawberries catch my attention
so i look up at the lady pointing to the strawberries asking how much they are before fishing out
my wallet to see if i have enough money on me)
@kim seolhyun. *there was no telling where Hoseok could be found around town sometimes, but there was one day of the week that he almost always went to the farmer's market to get fresh groceries. He currently had a big bag of chicken feed hauled up over his shoulder, the muscles of his arm bulging as he effortlessly held it there while he looked at the blueberries one farmer was selling*
@jo eunhee. "Okay, so one cabbage, a kilogram of tomatoes, a pack of gochu..." Jongin's eyes skimmed over the products in the elderly lady's basket as he tried to count how much she was to pay him. Actually, he already knew the answer to that calculation - he was pretty proficient in counting and he did most of it in his mind rather than under his breath, just like he did now. However, he liked to keep this little act up, as he was totally aware that he'd get odd stares from people who weren't used to his fast ways - he remembered that specific lady being one of them. He could still recall the way she has looked at him, a frown drawing her brows together and making deep wrinkles appear on her forehead as she mumbled something along the lines of being a "hyena for a poor lady's money". Despite having shrugged that off quite quickly, there was still that obnoxious aftertaste of her pungent words that left him a bit uneasy, gnawing on his confidence and making him change his ways.
"That's be 15000 won in total. Oh, wait, I forgot the regular discount! That's going to make it... 13000 won then" he said with a smile, responding to the bright, almost toothless grin of the elderly. Reaching out for the small change that she'd always pay for her groceries with, he accepted the silver coins from her shaking hands with a bow of his head and continued to bow for the next couple of seconds as the woman gradually walked away. Putting the money into a box right under the old-fashioned scale that his parents made him weight the veggies with, a sigh left his lips as he glanced at the watch on his wrist. The hands indicated it was 9AM and that he still had about two hours to go before he could wrap everything up and leave. He didn't quite see the sense in staying on the market for so long as most of their customers - other villagers - woke up at a similar time as they did and that meant that they had all their groceries done by 8AM. However, his mother insisted they-- /he/ should stay longer. He didn't know the reasoning behind that but there wasn't really much he could do to change her mind.
Encircling his stand, he glanced at the baskets with vegetables, refilling some of them or putting others out of the sun so they wouldn't get that mushy. Once in a while he'd tend to the few customers that were still out and about on the market, fulfilling their grocery wishes and sometimes just chatting with people he or his parents knew.
