"Normal is overrated." I reply with a smile, turning back towards you by the gentle touch of your hand. Such a small thing seems to be the most important thing in the universe to me, making my heart falter in my chest and color rush to my cheeks as I look up into your dark eyes. Butterflies dance in my stomach and I can feel myself tremble in anticipation as if this were the first time, the very first time, and yet it is somehow still every bit as comforting and familiar as I remember.

My eyes flutter shut as I lean in the rest of the way and every so softly press my lips to yours for the barest hint of a second. The warmth, the smell, and even what I know is the taste of you rushes back into my mind like a bolt of lightning and my returning desire for you is the thunder. Dinner momentarily forgotten, my hands clumsily reach for you and grab onto the front of your shirt as if I'm afraid to lose you before I capture your lips fully in a needy and passionate kiss.
