@Timothée Chalamet lalisa's eyes lighten up even more when timothee wraps his finger around hers, and once again, she vaguely notes of the difference between their sizes. "man, i wish i had a thick bank account," she says, still holding onto the lad's hand as she lets it rest atop the table in between them. "my course was rather expensive when it came to project, but my actual work is more freelance too, so i'm still looking to make it more stable, yes?" she says, taking a bite on her burger.
@Lalisa Manoban timothee chuckles softly, feeling weirdly fond about the gesture she was making. he holds his own pinky finger out and hooks it with hers, sealing the deal with a thumb print on her thumb. "hm, i think i really got myself a good deal, babe. i loved travelling, but with my job and me not having people to go travel with... it's hard. at least i got you now," he crinkles his nose a bit and smiles at her before he continues. "all work and no travel makes timmy's bank account thick, kinda. i think i can fund some of our first travels while we wait for you to save up."
@Timothée Chalamet lalisa hums thoughtfully, before she swallows. she grins then, and lowers her burger a little. "well then! that only means we should continue travelling after the honeymoon! after all, there are a lot of gorgeous places out there other than maldives!" she declares, holding her pinky out for the other to take. "that's a promise. you need to see all the wonders the world has to offer! even if well, i still have to save for all those travels."
@Lalisa Manoban "yeah, there's no beaches in manhattan. we had to travel far to go to the beaches so i never really went to any. i mean, i've been to beaches before, but not jump in the water, or get tanned kind of things," timothee takes a bite out of his burger and speaks with his mouthful. "i don't really go to places, so really, part of the reason i came to this show... was because i needed the staff members to yeet me to somewhere nice," he laughs at his own choice of words and nods, putting on a more serious demeanour. "i'm glad they did."
@Timothée Chalamet "really? you don't go to the beach often?" lalisa says, though that would make sense. timothee looks pale—and she wonders of the lad is the type to go out a lot, because she'd be the same except for her job. "i used to hang out a lot in the beach—well, as much as my schedule in college allowed me, since the beaches are quite far from my university."
@Lalisa Manoban timothee nods in agreement. "right? i've been sweating like mad." he suddenly feels a tad bit insecure thinking about being in his trunks. had it been someone else he wouldn't have cared, but this was his wife. what if she was disappointed by the lack of washboard abs and thick biceps beneath his clothes? he manages to croak a low "yup, the staff members did us good. i've never been to such places, so it's a good change of scene for once."
@Timothée Chalamet "good idea! it's getting a bit hotter, don't you think?" lalisa says while slowly eating her food. that's exactly she brought an array of bikinis—she wonders if she can impress timothee, though she doesn't even know what he /would/ like. oh well. she's supposed she'll find out soon enough. "it's a good thing we got maldives. we can swim all we want!"
@Lalisa Manoban he doesn't answer her for a while; on one hand distracted by his own burger and the way lalisa sat back and ate hers so merrily, and on the other trying to think of an answer to that question. "i think i wanna cannonball into the ocean first. that's the first thing that came to my mind after sleeping, but maybe also food?"
@Timothée Chalamet ignoring timothee's teasing, lalisa takes a rather big bite onto the burger, and she almost melts in her seat as she leans back, chewing happily. it's not as if she hasn't eaten burgers in such a long time—but she's always loved the taste of it on her tongue, even if it screams unhealthy habits. after swallowing, she speaks, "once we arrive there, what do you wanna do first? after sleeping, of course."
@Lalisa Manoban "i'm sorry, i couldn't help it," timothee's laughter fades, and he's now back in his seat. he had already partially unwrapped his burger when he takes his bottle and gulps some of the water. "my, you sound like you haven't eaten since last year, lisa," he teases as he takes a first bite, humming in sheer satisfaction of finally eating a burger again.
@Timothée Chalamet lalisa pouts. "stop laughing!" she says, resting her cheeks above both palms as she leans forward. when the food is placed in front of her, her eyes brighten, and she takes hers almost too quickly into her hands. "aaah, i've been waiting for you all my life!"
@Lalisa Manoban timothee bursts into a fit of muffled laughter, caught off guard by the sudden sound from lalisa's stomach mid-conversation. he empathises with her embarrassment, albeit finding her all the more endearing. "yeah, it's fine!" the number machine chimes twice, and timothee looks up to find their number on the screen. "we're up! i'll just go take them over," he excuses himself from the table and jogs off to the pick-up counter, rushing back eagerly to the table with their food.
@Timothée Chalamet "good! i'm starving!" lalisa says, and almost as if on cue, her stomach grumbles. her cheeks flush a bright red, and she covers her face with the back of her palm. she chuckles awkwardly, "sorry about that. but that just strengthens my point, yeah?"
@Lalisa Manoban timothee looks over to where she pointed and moves towards the seats with her, their baggages in tow. "i don't think it will. there's not many people here," he says with a cheeky grin, one finger pointing at the small screen displaying a line of red numbers as he adjusts himself in his seat and continues. "and we're just two numbers away," he then lowers the handle of the carrier and lets it come to a stop by his side.
@Timothée Chalamet "mhm, let's!" lalisa says, eyes already wandering around to look for a possible place. there aren't a lot of people around, she muses to herself, most likely due to the fact that it isn't exactly vacation season. that fact only makes her smile, and she points. "over there," she utters, before making her way to it, looking back to make sure her husband is following. "do you think it'll take long?"
@Lalisa Manoban "oof, bacon cheeseburger," timothee exclaims under his breath as he rests his hand at the small of lalisa's back, grimacing a little behind his fist because that burger came as close second when he was deciding his own earlier. "let's place our orders then," he ushers her forward a little until they reach the front of the counter, places their orders and foots for the bill. the lady at the counter gives them a waiting number and timothee thanks her before turning to his wife, waving the number in his free hand a little too cheerfully. "should we grab a seat while we wait?"
@Timothée Chalamet lalisa is contemplating at the same time as he is, only he's taken much quickly to choose, and she's still stuck wanting all of it. she hums, leaning against timothee's side as her eyebrows furrow. "i think this is harder than my finals test on statistics," she utters to herself, before tilting her head to the side, an eyebrow raised. "maybe... a bacon cheeseburger one?"
@Lalisa Manoban timothee squints a little as they stop before the menu, trying to read off of it. "uh, i think i'll go with..." his sentence hangs in mid-air while he scans the menu as quickly as he can, leaving time for himself to ponder about the big question. he's always had difficulty picking food cause he wants to eat all of them, but he makes up his mind this time and settles with, "a double cheeseburger?" he shrugs nonchalantly, lips curving downwards for a split second before he turns back to lalisa. "and you? what are you going for?"
@Timothée Chalamet "hoooh, we're on the same wavelength then!" lalisa says, eyes glinting brightly as her grin widens. she then leads him toward the burger shop, unconsciously her lips as she gazes at the menu. she can't choose, honestly, and if life would allow her... she may buy two for herself. she glances at her husband, gesturing her head to the menu at the top of the counter. "what do you want to have?"
@Lalisa Manoban "alright," timothee looks down between them at their intertwined hands and smiles before gripping her hand properly, dragging their luggage along with his other hand. his wandering gaze lands on her face, and the sense of relief and gratitude from their wedding came back to him as he rejoices in the energy of his bubbly partner. at the question hurled at him, timothee hums inaudibly, "mm, i'm not really craving anything... but these burgers look good and i haven't had one in like... so long."
@Timothée Chalamet lalisa is quick to take his hand into hers, slender fingers sliding rather easily in between his as she begins pulling him to where the scent of the food is calling her. "we shall!" she chirps, energy a little too bright even after having run just to get there, initially believing that she was late. as they walk, her eyes are focused on the direction of the food. "oh right, what did you want to eat? craving anything specific lately?"
@Lalisa Manoban timothee finds himself mirroring her grin, nodding at the suggestion as he lowered his sleeve back down to cover his wrist. "yup, it is," he nods again, his expression turning a little serious now. "i think i might sleep too. well, i was kinda wishing you'd wanna eat too cause i was kinda hungry anyway. " he looks around the exterior of the airport, and turns back to lalisa with a soft smile. "shall we go in and... find somewhere to eat?"
@Timothée Chalamet "hm!" lalisa hums, lifting a hand to her chin as she contemplates on the options he presented briefly. she then grins, gestures her head to the general direction of the food court. "why don't we eat? it's always fun to travel on a full stomach!" she says, and she moves a little closer to the lad, a hand gestured as though making a point. "it's going to be along flight too, no? and i might just end up falling asleep later so... a light meal for now?"
@Lalisa Manoban he gladly accepts the baggage, securing his duffel bag to the handle with a strap. "well, at least this doesn't seem to be that much," he flicks his wrist to slide his sleeve upward, revealing his watch. he mentally counts a little. "we got more than 2 hours before our flight," timothee was silently thanking the gods for none of their bags were too big, or they'd have to wait a long time at the check-in counter had there been any. "if you want to, we can afford to grab a light meal before we board the plane. alternatively, we can just head to the gate, go inside and wait for the plane."
@Timothée Chalamet lalisa beams, and she leans forward to steal a quick kiss on the lad's lips, thanking the additional height her heels gave her. "thank you, and yes please! i really shouldn't be carrying more when my back is already heavy with my laptop." she then hands her carrier over to him, tilting her head to the side, before she looks around for the time. "how many more hours do we have again before we leave?"
@Lalisa Manoban at the call of his name, timothee looked up from the tips of his shoes and at the source of the voice where he saw lalisa coming up to him. "hey, lisa," he beamed, using his free hand to pull her into a half hug before pulling away with a kiss to her cheek. "you look good! and... that's a lot of stuff you brought. compared to you, i look like i'm travelling light." he raised his one bag and peeked over her shoulders at the backpack and carrier she brought, laughing a little. "do you want me to help you take one of that?"
@Timothée Chalamet lalisa arrived a minute later than what she told timothee she was going to arrive. packing didn't become any easier even with her experience of jumping from one country to another, and it felt like she had packed more this time—probably because of all the swimming clothes she brought. but oh well! her eyes quickly moved around, searching for that familiar tall figure amongst the sea of crowd, before she found the face of her husband. her visage brightened, and she immediately jogged toward him, heels clicking with a backpack strapped onto her shoulder, and a small luggage on her hand. "tim!"
@Lalisa Manoban timothee mulls over his luggage behind his car. the thing is, he'd never been to a vacation at a sandy paradise. he'd heard tales from his friends, but he has only ever been to places where there's no sea. he probably packed lots of useless things and he wanted to repack, but his friend was giving him 'the face,' so he just loads the trunk and leaves to the airport. at the airport, the friend wanted to accompany him to wait, but couldn't, as he had to go off to work. so timothee stood there, shrinking into his comfiest black hoodie as he held onto the strap of his duffel bag, awaiting the arrival of his spouse.
