Even the fairest of them all has to go out and by groceries sometimes. Good thing the supermarket is open 24/7 so no one needs to rush themselves. magical, isn't it?
@✧ Woojin A huff left Daehyun's lips and despite him showing an amused laugh, it hurt on the inside to see that his brother was not remembering him at all. "I definitely did not get the wrong person," he said, following the younger. How could one so easily forget him? Had his mother not told him about him? No, of course not. "You are my little brother. You don't remember me, mh? Not a surprise, considering your mother." He shook his head slightly as he ignored the owner of the shop who gave him a weird look. It was easy to guess where Daehyun was from, he looked like one from Malum and he was clearly not hiding it. He was proud of where he grew up. It was his home and despite Euphoria limiting all possibilities of a good childhood there, Daehyun had survived it, clearly. "You weren't born here either. Do you know that?"
@✦ Daehyun Woojin was already having a bad day when his vision was suddenly blocked by an unfamiliar pair of hands, causing him to almost drop the glass bottle of honey he was holding. With an annoyed click of his tongue, he turned around ready to fight that person who almost got him into trouble with the shop owner; that old man never liked him for some reason tch- okay maybe because the boy was always exposing his lying . “.. who are you?” Woojin’s features instantly softened upon seeing the stranger in front of him and what? little Brother? The last time he checked, pretty sure he was the only child in the family. “You got the wrong person” and that was the end of it. He gave a nonchalant nod of his head before walking past the man to make his way towards the owner, the honey was not going to pay for itself after all.
@✧ Woojin All Daehyun had wanted was to pick up some milk but then he had seen someone he would recognize upon thousand faces. Even though the last time he had personally seen this now young man had been ages ago, he easily noticed the features and an exciting tingling, anger, filled his body. Oh he was still angry. He was angry at so many things but right now he pushed it aside. He needed his emotions to play along and while he put some milk into his grocery bag he walked over to the male, stepping up behind him and covering his eyes. "Guess who," he said and grinned, letting the other go and grinning at him. "You remember me, little brother?"
@✧ Hyunjoong “Your best friends?” Ah, probably the dogs. But it was always better to ask if one was not entirely sure so Minho preferred it that way. He nodded slightly while he kept petting his cat who was now walking from him to Hyunjoong to get as many cuddled and pets as possible. Understandable, Minho knew Doongie just wanted to be loved even though he often played hard to get. They weren’t that different after all. “I’m glad your parents managed to get your dog then. Am I like to dogs. I like their names by the way how did you come up with them?” Or maybe they already had had names when the other got them. Who knew? But Minho enjoyed talking about pets and animals, it made him feel happy and like the right thing to do. “I think it is not that bad for cat and dogs to like each other. It’s actually pretty nice.” He nodded slightly. He clearly was a car person but he had never minded dogs. Or any other animal.
Nodding slightly, Minho made a mental note. “I don’t have your number though. Wanna exchange so we can text?” he asked and grabbed his phone, holding it out for Hyunjoong. Despite people probably thinking he had a fancy phone, it was just a simple one. Nothing special. Surely he could have the best technology but he just wanted to be human from time to time. Just a normal young adult. “Do you often go fishing?” he asked curiously and looked at the other. Hearing the other laugh was soft and felt nice, it warmed his heart a bit. “I just hope Doongie won’t hit Art. He sometimes is a bit rash,” Minho admitted. Though it reassured Minho that Doongie would be able to protect himself if ever needed. Though he hoped it never would be necessary. Holding out a treat Minho played a big with the cat before he eventually have it to him. “Your treats are good. Doongie is picky with treats so I guess we are really lucky. Ah... Does that mean you can’t eat chocolate?” he frowned and looked at the other, curiosity in his experience as he looked at the other and tilted his head a bit. There was so much he still had to learn. “Can your dogs eat the treats too?” He then asked.
Humming in agreement, Minho nodded. “Yes, to both. Some words can be pretty painful. I’m not that sensitive but some people are. So I get it, it’s hard to take some rumours.” They could be damn harmful after all. A chuckle left his lips. “It shocks you? Why?” he shrugged slightly. “I don’t give much about rumours though. So there is that.” So maybe people had just decided not to tell him and if Minho was honest, he didn’t really mind it.
@✧ Minho That brought a smile to his face. "I'd like that. I don't mind cuddles. My best friend's love cuddles." Hyun did feed people, but not treats. He'd actually cook a full blown meal. His parents were a king and queen, so he'd grown up with plenty to eat and he thought everyone should have enough to eat. The question made him smile. "I do. Growing up, we always had random cats, but I begged my parents for a dog. I don't even know why, but I wanted on. Dad wouldn't hear of it since we are imbued with a cat spirit. Mom on the other hand talked him into getting me not 1 but 2 border collies and I've had them since. They're my best friends, but they like cats." It was actually funny to watch, because Art treated them like they were her pups.
He nodded. "Well, I'm going fishing this weekend if he would like to go." He scratched Doongie's ears and smiled. "I can imagine how worried you were. I know I would have freaked out had that been Art of Matic. Then again, they're the same. I can let them run free and they always come back." He knew if anything ever happened to his dogs, he'd be lost. It made him laugh to this day. A cat with dogs for best friends. "Well, I'll tell you what will be really funny to see. Art. She will treat him like her baby. I love her, but it's the funniest thing to see." He had been shocked the first time he'd seen Art do it. At first he was afraid she'd try to eat the poor kitten, but she hadn't and instead had played with him and carried him around on her back. "Oh I make them. It's my mom's recipe. She used to make them for dad. You know, the whole human-cat thing. It's a unique recipe, but that's why they're safe for humans and animals." He loved to cook. Always had, even as a young boy. "Well then, he's smart." He smiled.
Hyun grinned. "Yea. Some of it can be really funny. When it hurts people though. That's what I don't like." And he'd seen that happen. "Absolutely." Now that surprised him. Then again, his father was on the council. Maybe they were scared? "That actually shocks me. Then again, I pretty much stay to myself and spend most of my time at home or with my parents."
@✦ Mark "Thanks Jihoon! I'll check into it, I've one more stop to try before I give up for the day. .. thanks for coming with." Daesung offered a warm smile and a tender hug to his friend for spending most of the day with him before parting ways. It had been a strenuous day looking for jobs, inquiring, asking people, chatting, "making friendly" and sure, there were some hopefuls but nobody was gonna hire him on the spot. By this time it was later in the evening, and businesses were gonna start closing in a bout a hour or two depending on the specific company. One particular field he'd yet to try was the artistic one, and while he'd little to no experience making things- it did sound like something he could enjoy while getting paid to do so. Approaching a architecturally different looking building, it was presumed to have been what he'd been looking for. [ I have a mood for this one, listen or don't. https://youtu.be/FjHGZj2IjBk ]
At the current time, the place was not in the least bit bustling, rather a quiet warm atmosphere and from what he could see, there wasn't anyone at the counter. Made sense, surely someone wasn't going to stand there all day and get work done. With a quiet chuckle at the thought of someone standing there doing silly things to entertain themselves, he pulled open the door; a soft 'di-ding!' of a little bell rang as he called out;"Helloo?" Daesung stood at a reasonable 5 foot 10 inches tall, in brown loafers, properly fitting, like-new jeans and a beige, long sleeve knitted sweater with two scarves of a similar color draped down over either shoulder. His dyed, semi long brown hair was parted down the middle as it came down and curled neatly around his ears. Above all else, aside from basic appearance, a pleasant smile and crescent shaped dark hazel eyes awaited whoever appeared.
As he waited there was a small scratching noise at the door, breaking his professional appearance he turned to see a rough looking orange tabby cat attempting to open or pick at the door frame. Bending down to get a better look, Daesung lit up;"Why hello there, whatchu doin'?" Being cooed sweetly upon, it looked up, startled to see a human there and scampered off. "Hmmm.." His brows furrowed in disappointment and confusion, but none the less stood up and continued to wait.
@✧ Hyunjoong "Maybe next time you can meet his siblings too. Though Soonie and Dori are a lot cuddlier than Doongie is," Minho said and smiled at the other. He seemed to be good with animals, especially as he was having treats with him even though they were also for humans. Now his mind provided him pictures of the other feeding some humans like they were cats and that was rather weird. But oh well. "Do you have animals too?" he asked curiously. Pets, to be exact, but he knew not everyone liked calling them that.
And then the question was easily answered, it was interesting. "Doongie isn't much for running for a longer time but going hiking and fishing might be for him," Minho hummed and nodded. "He likes going out though usually they come back home when it gets dark or when I call him. Just not this time so I got worried," he admitted while he kept petting his cat. He had been worried, after all animals were so easily harmed. "I dont know if Doongie likes dogs, but it would surely be interesting to see," Minho nodded and looked at Hyunjoong. The other was nice and it was interesting talking to him. He really enjoed it, something that rarely happened to Minho after all. "Oh? Do you make them yourself or do you buy them?" he then asked curiously and chuckled. "Yeah, Doongie is careful with people. He doesn't like being touched by everyone. So you are extra lucky!"
Nodding slightly, Minho tilted his head. "I am amused by gossip, it entertains people but I agree. As long as you and the people you care for know the truth, that is all we need, right?" He hummed softly. "Though I havent heard any rumors about you yet! So I guess you got lucky there," he joked and then winked amused at the other.
@✧ Minho Hyun smiled and stood to bow in return. "It's nice to meet you too Minho. I'm very happy I could meet Doongie." He scratched the cat's ears. It wasn't unusual for him to play with stray cats, but then he had cats at home as well as dogs. His father had thought it weird when he'd asked for puppies, but his mother had gotten them for him happily. His mom and dad rarely disagreed, so it hadn't been an issue.
"Well who doesn't like a good adventure. If he ever wants to explore and you're too busy, I'd be happy to take him. I mean especially on the weekends, I go hiking and fishing and sometimes camping. I wouldn't mind him tagging along. I don't know how he'd feel about this, but I go running in the evenings with my two dogs. They like cats though." He was surprised that Doongie hadn't smelled Matic and Art on him. He knew they wouldn't hurt his new friend though. They were really good dogs. "Well thank you. My parents taught me to be, but I was wondering about that. He shied away from the passersby, but came right to me." That sounded nice. He had considered growing a garden, but his lifestyle wasn't the most conducive to doing so. "Oh yea. I have more at home."
The man shrugged. "I hear a lot about many people, but I don't pay much attention to gossip. I'm sure there're rumors about me too." He didn't really care though. It wasn't a problem for him since it didn't effect his life. He chuckled. "None of us are immune from rumors, but as long as we know what's true, it doesn't really matter.
@✧ Hyunjoong "Nice to meet you, Hyunjoong," Minho said and bowed slightly, a polite way. After all the other male had taken good care of his cat and if Minho was honest, he was not sure how long the other had been entertaining his cat. Also he seemed nice, nice and friendly and despite this world being a good place, usually, it did not mean everyone showed their real face and was nice to strangers. "Thank you for being nice to Doongie. He likes adventures a little bit more than his self-preservation so sometimes he just does not come home unlike his two siblings." He poked Doongies nose in a gentle but teasing way and Doongie leaned into the touch, of course recognising Minho right away.
"Maybe he senses the panther or you are just really nice," the male said and looked at Hyunjoong. "He usually stays away from most people though he loves nature. Normally he does not stray away from our garden but I guess he wanted to explore a bit." He shook his head a bit and then blinked surprised when the older gave him the treats. "You sure?" he asked and held one treat out for Doongie to play with, still kneeling in front of Hyunjoong and his cat. "I really got worried when he didnt come home after I called him."
Nodding when the other guessed his parents, he looked at him. "Yeah, that is me. You probably heard a lot about me," he chuckled amused. "Rumors are spilled everywhere and even I am not safe from them." Though he really did not mind it at all. People liked to gossip and he was no one to shut them up. If they wanted to talk, they could - it entertained people after all.
@✧ Minho Hyun Joong had been out of carrots and he didn't want to wait to make his mother a carrot cake. It was one of her favorites. Thankfully, he knew her and his father wouldn't be back for a while. He grabbed his satchel and headed to the supermarket. He was inside paying for his purchases when something outside caught his eye. It was an orange and white cat. Sure cats weren't a rare occurrence, but this one there was something different. He couldn't explain it. Smiling at the cashier, he took his bags. "Thank you. Have a good night."
He walked outside and bent down in front of the cat, not surprised when he came closer. Opening his satchel, he pulled out a bag of treats he had inside. They were safe for humans or cats. His spirit felt calm as he fed the cat. He pet him, but noticed he shied away from other people who were passing by. When he heard the voice of another boy, he looked up. Oh, so he'd been looking for the cat. He chuckled. "He must feel at ease. I'm Hyun Joong. T'challa is my father, so he must sense the panther spirit within me." He d the cats soft head. "Well Doongie, it's nice to meet you, but you shouldn't run away. It can be dangerous."
Seeing how much the cat liked the treats, he handed the bag to Minho. "I have more at home. He's welcome to them. They're safe for humans and cats." He smiled, glad that the cat had an owner who loved him. Looking the boy over, he noticed how cute he was and then it hit him. "You're the son of Tony and Pepper Stark, right?" He had heard plenty about the boy, but he'd never met him before. Much of what he'd heard didn't seem true, but then there were rumors about him too that were as far from true as possible.
@✧ Hyunjoong The cats being outside was one thing but Doongie not responding to Minho calling for him was another thing. It was not rare that the cats were out and about, hunting mice and climbing trees, but Doongie had not been replying to any of Minho’s callings while the other two cats were long home. And it would soon get dark, something that bothered the male. Usually he kept the cats inside during the night, it was safer that way. Not, that there was any unsafe place in euphoria, but cars were a real threat and if he was honest, he was pretty sure there were some kids out that were crazy enough to hurt his cats, no matter if they were descendants of good or not. He did not care about such things when it came to his cats.
Rubbing his neck Minho kept walking through the area. He had checked the river, twice, he had checked the pond, the park, the streets, the cafés. All he could hope for now was finding Doongie maybe around here, the supermarket, where he sometimes annoyed people enough to buy him snacks. “Come on,” he mumbled and looked around, just to spot an orange-white cat right in front of a handsome male. He had seen him before, somewhere, but Minho had seen quite a few people and remembered most of them, so there was that. Something he had to as the son of Tony and Pepper Stark.
“Doongie!” he called out, relief filling him as the cat looked up and meowed but only to lean more into the stranger’s hand. “He… usually does not do that with strangers,” he chuckled and got closer, kneeling down in front of him. “This is Doongie, man I was worried.” He gently poked Doongie’s nose who meowed almost way too happily. “I’ve been looking for him everywhere. That boy scared me.” But he was immediately happier and not even angry anymore, after all he had found his cat and it made him feel so relieved. “I’m Minho, by the way. Thank you for finding my cat.”
