also known as the red queen's castle . its built from stone with prominent red heart accents. it has many heart-shaped hedges and many gardens with heart-shaped roses. don't try to trespass or you may lose your head.
@✦ Ten Chris nearly snorted at the other’s greeting, slightly shaking his head in an amused manner as he watched the boy grasp the situation and their surroundings. “Hey to you too.” Chris knew that Ten most likely has never been inside this room before—one of the many simple study rooms that could be used as an office space as well to find some peace and quiet to be able to get things done. Salazen Grum may not be the biggest castle in the world, but it still definitely stood high and large on its ground with too many rooms to count. Out of the rooms that Felix and Ten would hang out in, the study rooms would most likely not be one of them.
Chris really let out a scoff this time at the confident, almost cocky words that slipped from the other’s tongue, nearly rolling his eyes for good measure. “Irresistible—sure.” The sounds from behind the door have silenced as Chris managed to help save Ten’s head from being cut off due to incredible timing. Confined to the safety of the room, Chris made himself comfortable by leaning against the door while crossing his arms across his chest. “And what exactly did you do for them to chase you like that?”
@✧ Chris Ten was fast and nimble, giving the armoured cards a good hard time in catching him. His stamina is plentiful, but that didn’t mean he had much place to run. He could hide, but he wasn’t sure where would be a good idea — he wouldn’t want to stumble into the Red Queen’s room now, would he?
All too suddenly, he felt himself being tugged to the side, a yell of surprise leaving his lips as he stumbled after whatever force was pulling him, too shocked to catch on who the person was. He was brought to a room, finally allowed to catch his breath and collect his wits, spinning around to face the person who had so unceremoniously dragged him out of his predicament. He was not expecting the face that greeted him, though the curled lips of entertainment betraying the firmness of the question had Ten grinning a bit himself.
“Hey, Chris! Howdy do?” Ten greeted casually, taking in his surroundings for once, not recognising the room and deciding it’s either a new establishment since the last time he entered this place or just a room he never been into.
A noncommittal shrug and a half-hearted smile from Ten as a response to the question later, he mused, “Can’t help it if the armoured guards want to chase me. I’m quite irresistible after all as you know it~”
@✦ Ten Chris was bored out of his mind. He had finished his share of the paperwork full of princely duties that he was assigned to for the day, while Felix was still in his office battling through his own pile. Salazen Grum felt strangely quiet today as him, his brother, and his mother had been locked inside of their rooms to get things done. There was not even a chance for the Red Queen to threaten someone with cutting off their head due to how busy she currently was. It was a good thing, however, as calm wasn’t something that anyone would describe Salazen Grum to be.
Until the castle was not quiet anymore as Chris’ ears picked up the sound of commotion in a nearby corridor, his steps quickening in wanting to find out what exactly disturbed their peace. Chris peeked around the corner to find a familiar figure racing down the hall with armoured cards behind him. Chris instinctively caught the male’s arm before the male could run past the intersecting corridor and pulled him to run, not waiting for the other to refuse. Chris quickly led him inside an unoccupied study room, closing the door behind him and waited for the sound of metallic footsteps to disappear.
“It’s nice to see you, Ten, but did you really have to show up with guards chasing you?” Chris turned to look at the other boy with an unamused expression, but the corners of his lips betraying his feigned anger by curling to a more entertained smile.
@✧ Chris There shouldn’t be a reason for Ten to be here in the first place, yet here he was. To normal citizens of Malum, Salazar Grum is the last place one would find themselves at. Especially if you’re Chittaphon Leechaiyakul — get spotted by the Red Queen and it’s your head on a silver platter on whatever fine dining table she owns.
The truth was, Ten needed something, and it was by God’s ing will that the person in possession of this item was the Red Queen. Last time he checked, if the woman sees him again, he would find himself at the guillotine by sunrise. So yes, screw you big time, God!
Ten was doing a good job so far though at not being caught. He knew his way around the castle courtesy of a few times when he was younger, playing chase with Felix down the hallways. The place was admittedly different than before, but mostly similar to what he could remember, so it shouldn’t be hard for him to find the treasure room very soon.
“Hey! Who is down there?”
And by sheer luck, the guards had to spot him. Thank you, God. Ten made a note to screw the man in the sky over one day.
Ten was quick to turn on his heel and run like Hell, the sound of armours clanking behind him rebounding against stone walls.
