So what exactly is a Pearl? Well, I briefly touched on this in the F.A.Q however this will be more a detailed explanation in case there's any remaining confusing.

 

In a nutshell: if you are employed at The VL, you are considered a 'Pearl' regardless of what your role is. I say regardless because roles have little meaning here; every employee is a e, is a bartender, is a janitor, is a concierge, etc. Excluding accounting and executive decisions, the women and men of VL run the establishment from the ground up and to do so; this means they rotate through various roles/shifts within the club. The business itself is run by a shadow group that none of the employees have ever met. I'm not sure if I want this RP to have a storyline but I'm also not opposed to it, so I've left it open ended for now.

 

If you do not want you character to be a bartender, , etc., that is totally up to your prerogative; just make sure it's clear in your profile what your character does as their job(ignore the cleaner/janitor work stuff unless wanting to roleplay it, we can just assume that everybody pitches in behind the scene.). Just note that we do not allow characters to be 'only prositutes' or 'only strippers', your muse will work in multiple areas of club, but you can specialise as noted in your application.

 

There are specialised roles within the club that requires certain IC knowledge; these roles are marked with an * and tend to stick to their one role within the business.

Honestly, go wild with your imagination but try not to double up too closely with other muns. Just go en ham on them BG's.

 

[✱] Uniforms

Pearls are required to wear uniforms unless working a e or stripper shift. See employee handbook on proper uniform. All uniforms are considered gender neutral and can be worn by any gender.

 

[✱] Star Ranks

Pearls are given star ranks depending on when they joined the VL and their experience level + returning clientele. Use the below guide to help build your Pearls reputation in the VL.

 

One Star — the fresh faces of the Venus Lounge and those who don't have a returning client list. Typically at the club for 2< years. One Star Pearls usually have lower rates due to their 'inexperience'. Do not mistake One Star Pearls for being lacking, they are usually the more voracious, more eager to please.

Two Star — typically have been at the club for 3-5 years and have small returning clients. A step up in cost, for those who have money to spend but it's well worth it. Do not mistake Two Star Pearls for being lacking, they are usually the more voracious, more eager to please.

Three Star — these Pearls have been at the club for 5-6 years and have a decent amount returning clients; considered some of the best of the best.

Four Star — been at the club for 7+ years. These Pearls are the best of the best, having unmatched experience in all areas. Typically have multiple returning clients.

 

Please note that we do not want everyone applying as 3- or 4- star Pearls. You'll notice that the age rules will limit you to a certain category; this is on purpose. A 22 year old muse is not going to have been at the club for 7 years. At most, they'll have been there for 2. I'm sure you can understand the reason why.

Clients are anybody not on the VL employee roster.

 

[✱] What kind of job can my character have?
Whatever you want! You can be a university student(of age), a barista, a COO of a Fortune 500. You could be a fisherwoman or a part of the Yakuza; whatever floats your boat, baby.

Can your muse still be a celebrity you ask? well... Yeah. You can even have them be a kpop idol and in the same group if you want, you just gotta be aware that somebody from your muses' group may choose to be a different role.

 

[✱] Am I supposed to know how my muse received their invitation to the club? How does it happen?

Invitations to The Venus Lounge can occur one of two ways:

 

1.) You stumbled upon the Lounge without intending too.

or

2.) You received a personal invitation from the Lounge. Invitations are sent via snail mail in a violet-coloured envelope sented with musk and caramel. You can only receive a letter if you either a.) attract the attention of an employee or higher up or b.) receive a referral from an existing member.

 

Your letter will include a single-time use QR code to enter the establishment and an address. This address will not be searchable on any map service or browser; you will need to find the club on your own.
