So while I'm an overthinker and a chronic overexplainer, I stress about maybe not making things clear enough either. So this room is quite literally a bare-bones, essentials only explanation to what this roleplay is and what you can/can't do(mostly what you can).

[✱] The Venus Lounge is a high-end, extremely lucrative establishment that exists purely to indulge. There are four parts
- The brothel : known as ‘the reef’ - each Pearl will have their own private room that is used for having with clients and for general living; no you will not be able to request a separate room.
- The cigar lounge/whiskey bar : known as ‘Cupid’s chaise’ - this is where those working as escorts can usually be found. Clients will meet these escorts and then take them or if the client doesn’t want to leave the establishment, then they can stay here.
- The den : known as ‘Ambrosia’ and is for monitored drug use within the lounge. See price list for more information on what is available.
- The club : known as 'La Belle' is strip club and night club combo. It is mostly a strip club however there is a smaller, slightly out of the way dance floor for clients and pearl to mingle as well as rooms for private shows.
- There is an unofficial fifth area of the club that spans both it's own basement area and the rooftop : known as the garden, you'll find amenities that are option to client and client 24/7 such as hot tubs, pools, lush gardens and general outdoor activities. don't ask how it's possible for a tropical forest to be indoors or how the rooftop garden is maintained; not even the Pearls know.
The business itself is extremely secretive; the only way you can gain access is either by being very, very, very lost in gangnam/cheongdam-dong and quite literally randomly coming across the building or by receiving a referral. Referrals can be given by existing members or if you catch the attention of a worker or one of the higher ups/owners; if you choose to be invited via the latter method, your muse will not know who they attracted when joining the club, this is something you can roleplay though. As specified, the location is very secret, you can’t search for the place on any map service nor would searching for it on a search engine procure any results; if you receive an invitation, you’ll receive a clue and then you’re on your own from there. I anticipate most people joining will be existing members but I hope we see muns who aren't a part of the club yet or are freshly-minted members!
It's a strict roleplay and lore rule that members do not reveal anything about the club. You can infer it's existence to non-members(playable or npc) however the club has ways of knowing if you've blabbed about it's name, location, etc. Granted you can roleplay having got away with talking about the VL but if you want spicy drama, then that's an option.
The owners and those who run the club are unknown, even to the employees. At this stage, people cannot apply to be owners but this may change. Any executive decision made gets passed down through notes or emails to employees.
The employees of the VL are known as Pearls(the whole idea is the Goddess Venus). Pearls will work in all sections of club in rotating shifts. As mentioned multiple times, you can specialise in certain areas, however I do not want to see people roleplaying in one section exclusively.
The whole idea is that the lounge appears to be this dreamy, mutually indulgent experience for both Pearl and client however you’ll notice that there are certain.. rules in the client and employee handbook that insinuate that it’s not quite so mutual or ‘perfect’.
Participants can decide for themselves how involved in that aspect they want to be. If you just want to be hot workers who love what they do, then you can do that. If you want something a little darker, then you absolutely can as well.
