@Max Coy shook his head and watched the kid go. Finally, maybe he'd actually get a good in the moment photo. He brought it up to his eyes and snapped a few wordlessly, cracking a small grin. "Whatc, too cold for you?" He called out
Ivory looked out from the fence at the beach as wind blew through her hair. She sighed longingly as the waves crashed into the shore. Horrifying images of her lungs filling with water and flailing limbs haunted her through closed eyelids. She forced herself to look away.
She may not be able to face her biggest fear, but she wasn't going to let it stop her completely. She smiled to herself as a memory flashed before her eyes.
A crying child sat in the floor with a mess of blonde curls and a young tired woman knelt down in front of her, coaxing her baby girl not to cry. She didn't need to be scared of the man in the house. The man who slapped the woman who worked her off. It was going to be okay, because her mother wouldn't let it go on any longer. She sung a lullaby to the child, soothing her infinite sobbing. After that, they were on their own. Her mother hadn't dared to bring in another man into their lives. She remembered her words exactly. "You can't run from the things you're afraid of, Ivory Anne. You just have to learn to cope with them until the hurdle shrinks enough to jump over."
She was coping with her fear, every Sunday night. The blonde wiped a stray tear from her face, plugging headphones into her ears. She pulled her hair back and continue to jog her loop around the beach.
@Coy "That sounds fun," Max agreed, and his heel to head directly for the waves. He stood at the waterline and waited for the ocean to lap up on shore around his feet, and as soon as it did he jumped up and scurried away from it.
It was ing cold and the sand was warm. He knew which one he preferred at the moment.
@Max Coy rolled his eyes. "Because you're ridiculous," He retorted, biting back a small smile as he took a picture simply to appease the obnoxious . "go like, play in the water or something."
@Max "No.. N-no Max I mean like, normal natural, not obnoxious candid attention natural," he muttered with a straight face. "Do normal beach things, Max. Why can't you just do normal beach things?"
@Coy Ever conscious of the camera, Max jumped high into the air with his limbs thrown out to every angle, grinning goofily. "How was that?" he called over the sound of the waves.
@Max Coy laughed, shaking his head As his friend ran forward. He fiddled with some settings on his cAmera before pointing it toward the ocean, snapping a few shots before he made some more adjustments. "It has been a while." He agreed
@Coy "Dude, you didn't have to ask twice," Max emphasized, hearing enough of Coy's almost apologetic "thank you"s during the 4-hour ride over. "Like you'd have to twist my arm to take me to the beach." He jogged ahead, kicking up sand, and turned around with a grin. "Besides we haven't hung out in forever, and I've been itching to have a broventure!"
Coy rolled up the window on his side of the car before getting out. He slung his trusty camera bag over his shoulder and started towards the beach wordlessly, Max at his side. It didn't take much convincing to get his best friend out of his hot apartment for a little road tripping. He'd been itching to get some coastal photos for his portfolio. "Thanks for coming with," he muttered, wiping the lense of his camera carefully.
I'm sorry but Sailor is leaving, I know I'm past my hiatus time and I hate to be so inactive. I had fun though, this is a great roleplay, I hope more people join!
