@Max "Uhm, yeah. You should probably go check on him. I have some stuff to do too." She shook his hand and smiled, her eyes crinkling. "See you." She replied with a wave, jogging off to start turning lights off.
@Ivory His eyes were drawn to the sharp movements down below, and he winced. Levi would be feeling that later. "So listen," he said distractedly, forcing his gaze away from the track. "Normally I would stay and chat, like, forever, until you kicked me to the curb, but I think now would be a good time for me to get my roommate off the ground or something. It was really nice meeting you." He grinned and held out his hand once more. "Maybe we'll run into each other again?"
@Max She raised an eyebrow. "Uhm, okay?" She laughed, looking and covering . It wasn't that funny, it was just his sputtering. It was cute. Blowing an annoying piece of hair from her face she offered him her own awkward smile. She really needed to start turning lights off, but that probably wasn't ideal with the brawl brewing.
@Ivory "He can handle himself," Max figured. "He gets banned from a lot of places." That was kind of a lie, and it probably wasn't funny enough to alleviate the situation any. "Just kidding, actually he won't start anything like that here. He knows how important it is. He's more the type to brawl in some backalley club somewhere, or find some one night stand and /not bring anyone home/," he muttered the last part through gritted teeth. Then coughed and smiled awkwardly. "He'll be fine."
@Max "Yeah, sort of." She rubbed her arm and glanced down here Chance was. Things were getting pretty heated. "You know him?" She snorted. "Go call off your tool then before someone gets hurt." She hesitated then. "I mean, I'm sorry. That sounded mean, but if a fight happens it's not gonna be pretty for your friend. He'll probably get banned." She looked up and met Max's eyes. His eyes were large and filled with adventure. It was kinda cute.
@Ivory "You work here? Since when?" he asked, genuinely surprised. "I've never seen you here before, are you new?" Then he figured some name dropping might get him a point or two of cred and mentioned, "Levi's my roommate. He's the in the red sports car."
@Max Ivory stumbled over her feet as the guy stood in her path. The staring guy. She scratched the back of her head. "Max?" She smiled politely as she shook his hand. "Uhm, sort of. Actually, I work here." She brushed hair out of her face, the wind was picking up. "Oh, I'm Ivory." She said as an after thought.
@Ivory No no, where was the pretty girl going? Max couldn't let her just walk out of his life after only getting a glimpse of her. This felt like one of those things where he might not see her again otherwise. Thinking fast, he jogged up to her and cut off her path.
"Hey, I'm Max," he said, holding out his hand with a bright smile. "Do you know one of the racers?"
Max leaned back, somewhat amazed. "That was quite a race," he said. Really close, too. He stood up and strode up to the bar, leaning over the side and staring at Levi. He didn't look too thrilled.
@Storm It looked like Levi was gonna be bested in this one, unless he could pull some miracle stunt in the final stretch. Max was practically on the edge of his seat, waiting for something crazy to happen, because in Levi's races something always did.
@Chance Kyler gently rubbed and massaged Chance's shoulder. No need for him to get stressed out and act rash. They just needed to focus and pay attention to Dagon.
@Kyler Chance just grit his teeth and sighed. At least Dagon had gotten out of it. He let Kyler coax him back down on the bleachers.
Next chance he got, he was going to tell Levi off for what he pulled.
@Max "Not exactly. Let's just say the red string of fate hates our guts." He muttered more to himself than Max. He shook his head and focused back on Levi. Damn, he was crazy reckless. He was almost nervous for him.
@Chance Kyler winced at Chance's word choice. He stood up and tugged him away from the railing. "That's not going to help, Chance." He protested, holding his arm with one hand and pressing the other to his back gently.
Chance stood up and grabbed the railing. "What the are you doing?!" He yelled down at the track. Didn't matter that they couldn't hear him. The way Levi raced, deliberately pulling dangerous stunts like that, got his blood boiling.
@Storm This time he listened, deeply engrossed in the race. It looked really intense down there, and the stakes were high. No wonder Levi wanted him to show up. "Did Levi ask you to come here too?" It would be pretty cool if Levi was already comfortable enough to have gotten on good terms with Storm again, even if Max still wasn't entirely sure what exactly was going on between them.
@Storm "Oh. Yeah. Right." Max reluctantly faced the track, where the two cars were neck and neck. He whistled. "Man, I wouldn't bet on this one," he said, which was saying something for the chronic better. "What is this for, anyway?" Levi hadn't ever said something about a glory race, so it must've been something spur of the moment.
@Kyler Chance narrowed his eyes, gaze fixed on the race. "What the hell is he doing? Is he insane?!" Levi was going to cause them to wreck if he kept that up!
@Chance "It's not his skills I'm worried about," He muttered. It was what he was up against. He gave Chance's hand a squeeze, eyes focused on the track frettingly.
@Storm He blinked rapidly. "Huh?" Wow, so this was what it felt like reentering the atmosphere. "Oh, yeah, what's up?" Very smooth, Max. He tried focusing on whatever Storm was trying to tell him, stealing glances at that girl every few seconds as she walked through the bleachers.
@Max As Ivory was slowly making her way up the stairs, she met eyes with a guy she didn't know. She didn't know a lot of people though, honestly. He was, oh god was he staring at her? She raised an eyebrow. Was he okay? Maybe we was...slow. She cleared and focused on one stair at a time, avoiding his gaze. It made her neck heat up all the way to her ears to feel him staring at her.
@Kyler "She'll definitely be alright," Chance said. "She's pretty fiery. Dagon," he contemplated, watching the two cars on the track. "He can handle himself. He knows what he's doing better than half the racers out there." He laced his fingers with the other, giving him a reassuring smile, even though he was secretly worrying on the inside.
@Max "Uhhh, earth to Max?" Storm questioned as he waved a bronze hand in front of his face. "Are you okay?" He tried to follow his gaze, but the glare made it difficult. Obviously he wasn't too worried about Levi anymore.
I'm sorry but Sailor is leaving, I know I'm past my hiatus time and I hate to be so inactive. I had fun though, this is a great roleplay, I hope more people join!
